Twilight Sparkle has a double dilemma on her hooves. First, it is Rainbow's birthday soon and she doesn't have a present. Second, she really wants to have a relationship with the mare.

The plan?

A week long vacation, each day dedicated to the pegasus. Twilight has a plan of action laid out, and she is certain Rainbow will love it.

But what will become of the relationship between the two close friends?

That's right, I said it. I'm a coward. I've always been sure I could do anything. Win any race, beat any opponent, complete any job. But this is something I can't outrun, outsmart, or outlast. What's causing me—the most awesome pegasus ever—so much trouble? You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

Twilight Sparkle realizes that Rainbow Dash has been keeping a secret from her ever since the Mare Do Well incident. When she goes to confront her about it, she finds out more than she bargained for. And then Twilight reveals that she's been keeping something from her friends ever since the Royal Wedding. Now everything is out there; harsh words have been spoken and a once strong friendship hangs in the balance.

The mane six take shelter in a place that is, for now, safe from a disaster occurring outside.

This gruesome tale of violence and death is not recommended for colts, fillies, or the faint of heart.

Heartbroken after being rejected yet again, Pinkie resigns herself to a life of loneliness.

However, love has a way of sneaking up on you, and a chance meeting leads to Pinkie finding a pony who’s just perfect for her. A pony who may just be a little too perfect for her...

With her newly blossoming love life causing friction between her and her friends, will Pinkie really find happiness with her special somepony?

Or will Surprise turn out to be more than she could dream of?
