[2nd Person Fic starring you and Derpy Hooves]

It's just an average day for you at the lettuce stand when you are greeted by Ponyville's resident mail mare. Though this normally wouldn't be out of the ordinary, she seems to be sporting some...strange gear.

A/N: I always feel like my descriptions are too short. The actual description part, not the Author's Notes part.

ANYWAY, this is my Derpy story! Inspired almost SOLELY by a picture I saw. I'll put it in the author's notes of the actual story, as to avoid spoilers here.

I started writing this about a week ago, just before Christmas. Once I started, I challenged myself to finish it before the year ended. And what do ya know, I did! Didn't publish it before then, but still...I felt accomplished.

...Totally pointless information, but I thought I might as well share it.

I don't have too much to say here. So I'll just end this off with the traditional:

Applejack encounters a lost soul on the side of the highway one morning, and soon takes it upon herself to help the woman find her way. The secrets that follow her, however, may lead the apple farmer and her friends into an early grave.

Sometimes, bad things happen to good ponies. A year following a tragic incident, Twilight Sparkle returns to Ponyville to visit what she has been missing - her town, her memories, and most importantly, her friends. But will everything be as she remembers it?

The past catches up with everypony, eventually. Nopony can avoid it, for better or worse. When Applejack meets somepony from her past she thought she had long since forgotten, the event turns into a catalyst that would change her life in unexpected ways.

A/N (I know there's a specific section for this, shush for a sec) : To anyone who has read my one-shot TwiDash, you would know that I used media links to aid and supplement the story. To anyone who hasn't, well...yeah. It was met with mixed reactions. Some said it distracted from the story, others said it was awesome. Changed the formula a bit this time. There will still be media links in future chapters, but they are not an integral part of the story unlike last time. They are not required to be opened to fully understand the events unfolding. So, just know this before reading, when you come across a piece of blue text, it will be a link to a song I think is appropriate for the scene, but keep in mind this is optional. Anyways, hope ya'll enjoy it.
