What they discover...is unimaginable. A dark entity is living inside Pinkie Pie, and although it has never controlled her, it had influenced her dark actions after being awoken from the sorrowful emotions of the Pink Mare. When a spell to rid this entity misfires, the entity succeeds in escaping from its pink prison, and escapes from Canterlot, fleeing to Ponyville. It's reasoning and purpose unknown, it finds and corrupts the first pony it comes in contact with...Twilight Sparkle.

Returning to the scene is our friend Detective W. Quill, curious as to the origins of The Entity and what its intentions are. Along for the ride comes Scootaloo and Fluttershy, hoping to aid the detective in his case.

Good day, Fillies and Gentlecolts. What you are about to read is a factual retelling of the events that led up to, and occurred during, what has come to be known as World War Z. Though occasionally referred to by a few different monikers (The Zombie Apocalypse, The Plague of Trotting Death, and The Blackness to name a few), the name is unimportant. Once the subject is brought up, anypony on Equestria would recognize it as the event that changed the world. After the initial outbreak and some formative events from the childhood of a “Generation Z” pony,one who was born just before or after the initial outbreak, we pick up the narrative based on the account of a cerulean earth pony named Hope, as she struggles to survive in the post-apocalyptic Equestria.

The first few chapters are a bit rough, but they get better.

When an average man is sucked into a strange new world he is badly injured from a great fall and is greeted by creatures the likes he had never seen before. How will those who dwell within this new place react to him, and how will he react to they? Will he ever recover? Will he find his way back home?
