Nine months was all it took for one earth pony to put Princess Celestia on the defensive. A fledgling protest movement and its wily leader have risen to challenge both her and Luna's age-old rule. And though Celestia harbors many doubts about her adversary’s true motivations, she can't shake the feeling that her own frantic strategy to restore order just might be proving the protesters’ point. As she and a devoted Royal Guardspony race to tamp down the flames from Just Cause’s torch, the princess will discover firsthoof what happens when her sister’s regrets and resentments are set free, when the loyalty of Equestria’s bravest is pushed to its limits, and when a few ponies’ genuine fears are ignored for just a moment too long. In a universe where ponies have discovered the means to travel among the stars, an empire arose. Lead by Princess Celestia, ponykind reached out. As prophesied, there came a time when Nightmare Moon returned, threatening to bring darkness to the shining kingdom. Six brave ponies, wielding the Elements of Harmony stopped her, and peace reigned once more. Soon however, Luna found the atrocities her sister had committed in controlling her empire and staving off the threats to it. Outraged, she set in motion thousand year old plans that she thought would never be needed.

This is the story of two empires, and the the war between them.

Luna's disposition worsens after Twilight Sparkle once again outdoes the Princess by fighting back another evil foe. Princess Luna wishes to speak with somepony, and finds that a therapist is her only possible choice.

Vinyl Scratch and Neon Lights are the greatest DJs in Equestria, and ever since they first played at the same concert they have been the worst rivals. They argue and throw insults at each other every time they meet, something that their fans seem to approve and even emulate to some extent.

However, an earth pony cellist known as Octavia, Vinyl Scratch's roommate and best friend and an old friend of Neon Lights, suspects that they might not really hate each other, and actually believes there is something else behind their hatred. Unfortunately, whatever it is, only she knows, as not even Vinyl nor Neon seem to know.

The Mane-iac has a reason, a method to her madness, and one that will shock the Mane Si-er, the Power Ponies to their core.

Because it's not exactly evil, and aren't we all crazy when we're in love?

When Fluttershy finds a human in her backyard trying to eat one of her chickens, she and a majority of the residents of Ponyville only want this dangerous creature as far away from their town as possible.

After a less than stellar first impression, Derpy Hooves and the human struggle to quell the rumors surrounding his diet, and convince the townsfolk that he's harmless.

Will the human be able to make himself meek enough to coexist? Or will he be driven out of town with torches and pitchforks?

Each chapter is told from the perspective of a different pony.

Equestria has always been a relatively peaceful land. This all changes in the 10th century after Luna's banishment, when technology of a long forgotten civilization are found in mysterious ruins.

This both brings prosperity...and revolutionizes warfare. One particular tool of war stands out-the tank. At first viewed as an oddity, it becomes the most important combat implement within the century, right next to the use of gunpowder weapons.

Equestrians are not the only ones to make these discoveries though-but this is the least of their worries. A cult of Nightmare Moon, a god of chaos, a rogue changeling swarm, a black-hearted king, and a mysterious entity only known as WG are among the challenges that the Equestrian military's newest addition will face.

King Sombra’s dark influence was obliterated by the Crystal Heart, and the villain is well and truly dead. But when he attempts to steal the afterlife of an innocent victim, a human spirit is left hurtling towards Equestria, where this unfortunate soul is revived into the only vessel available: the reconstituted body of King Sombra himself.

Thus, a cheerfully oblivious alien is crammed into the form of the most evil and malicious being Equestria has ever known. Not that Shining Armor and Cadence know this, of course. As far as they are concerned, the King is back and he’s lost his fricking mind.
