Trixie returns to Ponyville with less than a stellar reception to say the leats forntunately a certain chaotic creature is more than willing to help
Trixie has been through some rough times of late and in her desperation she returned to Ponyville. She returned to an attack included many angry ponies and even a unicorn possessed by dark magic. It's not all bad after all she is receiving help from the Lord of Chaos.

I stand and smile on my stage. I feel so proud as I show my magic to tell stories then I see a dark shadow envelop the crowd. They start throwing food at me shouting “Fake, liar cheat.”
I run off the stage only as fast as I can. I slam into something large, only to look up to see a Ursa Minor standing over me, I run as fast as I can to get away from the foul creature. I run into the darkness only to be consumed by it when the darkness clears I see a projection with me in front of it. I ask “What is The Great and Powerful Trixie doing here.”
The other version of me turns around and to my horror was wearing the Alicorn Amulet. The other me said “Great and Powerful, you are nothing without me.” I feel the darkness consume me as I scream out for help.
I wake up, under a tree. I think to myself (thank goodness that was all a dream). My stomach growls. I sigh my last performance failed utterly as nopony wants to see a fake who almost destroyed Ponyville. I haven't eaten a proper meal in a month. I pop my last grape in my mouth. I think about what to do, I realise my only other option other than to die where lay is almost so horrifying I would rather die. I sigh again as I tell me myself “I have to return to Ponyville, it’s the nearest town to my location.”
I pull myself off the ground and put my cape back on, I adjust my hat and start walking. I think about who I should ask for help. I wronged so many ponies with Alicorn Amulet. I keep telling myself the amulet but that's a lie, the truth is it was just bringing out the darkest desires within my heart. The things I desperately wanted but was too cowardly to do. I don’t expect forgiveness, just a place to stay before I move onto the next town.
I arrive to see a huge castle in the middle of the town. Maybe a princess lives there, maybe they will be kind enough to forgive my actions. I try to sneak through the town but a stallion sees me and shouts “It’s Trixie.”
In a matter of seconds a huge mob of ponies surround me. They all start to attack me, I don’t bother trying to resist, I know I couldn’t do anything to stop them in my current state beside I deserve this. After what seemed like an eternity, the crowd seemed to back away at somepony shouting "Stop, everypony."
I stand up to see a mare I knew, I remember forcing her to make those stupid banners, her name was Rarity. I stepped back as she stepped towards me only to see a rainbow maned pegasus and a purple dragon try to pull her away. What happened next was her eyes glowed green and she threw them in different directions. I then watched as purple trails left her eyes. Then I felt myself grabbed with magic and then slammed repeatedly into the ground, I feel the darkness closing in.
Discord
I am floating on my cloud, it has been one week since the defeat of Tirek. I still feel bad for betraying my friends, I should never have trusted him. I suddenly feel a fast moving object hit my cloud, I look down only to see a certain rainbow maned pegasus stuck in my cloud. I ask as I frown “What are you doing? Why did you crash into my cloud?”
Rainbow said quickly as she pulled herself out of the cloud “Rarity has started to use dark magic similar to Sombra’s.” I blinked for a few seconds as she darted away with an unconscious Spike in her arms. I then rushed my cloud in the direction of the commotion.What I saw at that site was unbelievable, Rarity was slamming that showmare Twilight told me about into the ground.
I couldn’t let this go on, I know what it’s like to be judged for your mistakes. I teleport in front of Rarity and catch the injured mare, she was covered in bruises and bleeding profusely. I put up a shield just in time to stop Rarity’s spell but I knew I couldn’t escape. A familiar voice said “I cannot allow this, sorry Shining but I have to break my promise.”
I said sarcastically “Great, are we having a reformed villains party. Whys don’t we just invite Luna over and we’ll have the complete set.”
Sombra ignored my comment and said “Go, She needs some medical attention.” I nodded and teleported away, I just hope that he could stop her.
Sombra
I thought (Now that Discord has left I can focus on my adversary. I can’t believe that one of the elements fell to the influence of dark magic) then I saw a blast of magic coming towards me, I manged to avoid it by rolling to my left. Rarity shouted at me “Sombra, I will destroy you.”
I fired several concussive blasts back only to find they achieved nothing as the hate emanating off my adversary grew stronger. I dodged several more blasts before 2 massive spells struck me leaving me badly wounded. Then an angry voice shouted “Sombra, how are you, back?”
I reply “I will tell you some other time, when I’m not injured. I’ll leave you to deal with your friend.” I continue to fly through the air only to crash into a castle.
Then I heard 2 voices, Celestia and Luna shout “Sombra." I dart of there as quickly as possible, desperately wanting to get to the Crystal Empire.
I watched the shadowy unicorn fly away in his dark haze form, then I turn to Rarity whose eyes had were green for a second before turning back to normal. I shout angrily “Rarity, you and I have discuss your use of dark magic later. Sombra is back and we will be headed to the Crystal Empire.”
Rarity nodded solemnly. I summoned the other elements of harmony to the Castle. I said “We are going to the Crystal Empire. Sombra has returned.”
As we walked to the station Applejack asked “Why are Rainbow and Spike hurt” as she pointed to Rainbow’s dislocated wither and Spike’s broken arm.
Rainbow snapped “Rarity used dark magic and slammed us into a wall.” Applejack, Pinkie and Fluttershy’s mouth’s dropped at Rainbow’s outburst.
Applejack said “I don’t believe it, Rarity you didn’t.” Rarity looked down without a word. Applejack was about to say something when Spike spat out a letter.
I picked it up and started reading “Me and Luna will meet you in the train at Canterlot Station then all of us will head to the Crystal Empire. Sombra is back.” I looked at the letter, one more time before getting our tickets and leading my friends onto the train.
I woke up and I looked around the room trying to get my bearings. It looked like a medical wing in a castle. The sound of something outside heading to the room, I hid under my blanket. I then saw the mismatched creature enter the room, I screamed as I tried to get up, only for the pain to prevent my movement. I closed my eyes as the creature approached, I prepared for the end. I waited for several moments before I realised nothing happened. A soft and calm voice said “There is nothing to be worried about. It’s just your friendly Draconequus, Discord.”
I opened my eyes and curled up into a ball, scared of who was in front of me. I heard all the stories of him, about how he enslaved Equestria, how he burned ponies alive. I felt like I was in a cage. He put his claw on my shoulder “Don't worry your safe, I just hope you recover quickly.”
My eyes opened wide as I saw the Lord of Chaos with a genuine smile plastered across his face. I begged “Please, don’t hurt me.”
He frowned as he asked “Why would I hurt you? Am I scary in some way?”
I replied nervously “You're King Discord, you burned ponies alive for the fun of it and pick their bones clean once they're nice and cooked.”
Discord looked away from me for a few second before saying “I am not like that anymore.” He turned to me smiling and said “I’m going to take care of you until your injuries recover.”
I was confused and to add to my confusion I saw a tear drop to the floor as he spoke. He was nothing like what the stories told me. I asked nervously “Um King Discord, where am I and why?”
He replied “Please call me Discord and as for why you are here, you were badly injured by a crowd. I am taking care of your wound and giving you a safe place to stay.”
I stared at him for a few moments. He said as he put a platter of food next to my bed “I have to go, don’t leave you bed you still have to recover from your injuries.” I felt bad for being scared of him when all he showed was kindness but I couldn't shake that feeling of dread.
Discord.
I step out of my home, thinking on what Trixie had said. I had to speak with the princesses so I teleported to Canterlot and begin on phrasing my questions as I walked. I probably should've asked about what happened in the last thousand years I was gone that caused ponies to be fearful of me. I wasn’t watching were I was going and a unicorn bumped into me. He shouted “How dare you bump into me, I’ll have you...”
He saw me and ran shouting “I’m sorry, please don’t turn me into a squirrel.” I shook my head, there was once a time I would revel in the fear of ponies but now, I despised it. By the time I got to the castle I still had no idea what to ask. I entered the castle and then looked around to find no trace of the princesses. I asked one of the royal guards and he informed me they had travelled all the way to the Crystal Empire.
I teleported to the Crystal Empire train station and waited for the Princesses to arrive. I waited for 10 minutes before a voice shouted “Discord, what are you doing here?”
I replied “I am here to ask you a question but since you are all the way up there I’m sure my question can wait.” I looked behind her only to find to find my first friends. I saw Rarity standing at the back looking down, I couldn’t help but glare at the unicorn much to the princesses confusion.
Celestia asked “Why are you glaring at Rarity.” She had frowned at me. I had an idea why, I was a reformed villain and Rarity was a guardian of Equestria.
I replied angrily “She used dark magic against another pony and I am now taking care of that pony in my own home!”
Celestia asked looking behind her “Is this true.” Rarity didn’t move at all. Rainbow, Twilight and Spike nodded. Celestia said “Sorry Discord , I have misjudged you again, I will answer your question after we resolve this issue.”
I calmed slightly and asked “Why are you here, anyway?”
Celestia said “Sombra’s back and he's headed here. I could only assume for nefarious purposes. I fear for the Crystal Empire.”
I said as we started to walk toward the castle “ I don’t think that’s an issue Celestia, he has been reformed like me.” Celestiafrowned as she continued walking, she couldn’t believe what I had just said.
I noticed that except Rarity, the Elements of Harmony didn’t believe it either. Applejack said “Ah can’t believe it, Sombra was bitter to the core. He was worse than you, Discord.” All of them except Rarity nodded at the remark.
Rarity opened her mouth trying to maintain her composure, “Discord is right, the resulting damage from my outburst would have been much worse had Sombra not confronted me.”
Me, Celestia and Luna looked confused at the white unicorn. We walked on in silence until we arrived, the shock of that event rendering us speechless. All 10 of us had arrived at the Castle and were immediately escorted to the throne room. I was finally glad to have some real time to admire the castle. When we entered the throne room. Prince Shining Armour was deep in thought much to his wife's worry. Shining looked up and with all the restraint he could muster said coldly “It’s good to see all of you, even you Discord.” I felt the venom in his words.
Celestia asked “We saw Sombra heading to the Crystal Empire and we were all concerned except Discord. He believes Sombra’s been reformed.”
Shining said “Discord is correct, he has.” He then shouted “Sombra get out here now, before I drag you down here, the princesses are here!” I watched everyone who came with me get defensive at Sombra's presence. He then walked down and bowed to the Princesses.
He said as he bowed “Princess Celestia and Luna, My apologies for my past mistakes. I hope I can get a second chance.” We were all in shock at Sombra’s behaviour.
Celestia said with a soft smile “I’m glad you have reformed, I have to give credit to the Crystal Empire for reforming one of their greatest tyrants.” Sombra nodded and returned back to Shining’s side. Celestia said “Thanks you for your time, I am glad all is well we must take our leave. We walked out of the palace, Rarity was still looking down at her hooves hoping to be ignored. I couldn’t handle seeing the look of sadness in her eyes.
I heard a sudden shout from somepony behind me “Wait!” I noticed it was Sombra. He was panting as he cursed about all the stairs he had built during his reign. He said after a few moments “I am here to teach Rarity how to use dark magic.” Everypony plus one dragon frowned except Rarity. Sombra said “I am not here to corrupt her like that, I understand you want your friend to be rid of it’s influence and to be honest so do I. However, worst case scenario she may never be able to remove the dark magic from herself. I hope by teaching her should that worst case scenario arise, she will not be a danger to anyone else.”
Celestia said much to everyone’s surprise “Very well, but should I catch wind of any funny business Sombra, you will be banished to the froze wastes again.” Sombra nodded at the statement.
When we arrived at the train station there was several minutes before the next train arrived. I asked “Celestia, what did you tell ponies about me during the last one thousand years. Celestia said slightly worried’ “I told them you were an evil tyrant who took over Equestria and did many other horrible acts. I’m sorry Discord.”
I smiled sadly “Don’t worry about that, you were protecting your ponies and after Tirek I still have a long way to go. I have only been truly reformed for a little over a week.” I teleported home, hoping to speak with someone who may understand me.”
I sit there looking at my extensive injuries and feel unnerved at being totally useless for multiple weeks. Discord teleported into my room and I would have jumped had I not been injured. Discord asked “Do you think I am a monster?”
I thought for a while on the question, he certainly looked monstrous but I knew he had treated me with kindness. I said “No, Discord, you are the only one who was really kind to me in my entire life.” He smiled as he looked at me.
He said “Thank you, I have never really been good at this whole friendship thing. I have never really had any friends until recently and I put them in danger because of my own arrogance.”
I said “Your welcome, and don't worry about it. I ‘d be more than happy to be your friend. I haven’t had any before.” Discord simply smiled and gave me a light hug, I felt relaxed as I had finally found a place to belong.
I lied down on the train, I look around to see my former enemies just going about their business, all except one. Rarity just sits there looking at the window. I walked over to her and put my hoof on her shoulder. I saw the confusion on her face. I smiled as I said “Rarity, I understand this is quite difficult for you. I have been there, after being reformed I tried to get rid of the darkness within me, I failed to do so. I had to accept it, I know that sounds harsh but that’s the truth of it. Still there may be some hope for you, it hasn’t been with you for too long, maybe it can be removed. Whatever happens, I’ll be here to help.”
Rarity smiled at me as I sat next to her. She said “Sombra, you’re really helping. I just don’t know what to do. Magic has always been Twilight’s thing, I have no idea what I’m supposed to do.”
I said “Don’t worry, that’s the first step. Take a deep breath and look around. Your friends will help you. Rarity smiled before looking back out the window. I wondered what was going on with the others, I took a brief look around. Rainbow and Pinkie seem to be busy playing a board game of some kind. Twilight is reading a book, Fluttershy is hiding under a table as she looks at me. I shake my head, she is still scared of me, I was a giant smoke monster the last time she saw me.
Applejack asked frowning “What are you looking at?”
I responded “Just wondering what everypony was doing.”
Applejack glares at me before she responded “Ah don’t know about the others but Ah don’t trust ya as far as Ah can throw ya.”
I replied “I don’t expect you too, I did some horrible things back there, not to mention the damage to the Crystal Empire. I don’t deserve forgiveness but I was given it. I will make the most of the chance I was given.”
She walked away from me, grimacing. I thought (Well that went well, It will take some time before they trust me. Oh well one day at a time.)
I turned around to Celestia and Luna staring at me. I looked at my hooves as I asked “Um, Celestia, Luna Do you wish to discuss something with me” They nodded as the signaled me to the next carriage. The carriage was completely empty.
Luna asked “Why are thou reformed, you never explained that?”
I shouted “I have done terrible things in my past and I hope to redeem myself! I killed the mare I loved because I sought power without realising the cost of that power! Do you know how that feels?!”
The princesses were taken back by my outburst. I sat there as I felt the tears fall from my eyes. I hear her name over and over in my head (Whisperwind, Whisperwind, Whisperwind.) I said quietly “Leave me alone, please.” The princesses left me alone to my own thoughts. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity. I then feel a hoof going through my mane. I look up to see Rarity running her hoof through my mane, she doesn't speak almost as if she knows my pain. I fall asleep as I sat there on the floor.
I wake in a bed in what seems like a guest bedroom. I look at the bed I was lying in, it was quite large. I exit the room, only to see dresses everywhere. I think for a moment trying to understand how I got here. A voice asked “Sombra, good morning I trust you slept well?” I see Rarity carrying a huge amount of fabric in her saddlebags. She smiled at me “I am glad for you offering help but I have a really busy schedule today, the last couple of days have left me behind on my work. Go and explore the town, you are new here after all.”
I nod and exit the building to see what it looked like from outside, even with the spy work I did for Prince Armour, I never did take in the sights. I think of where I’m supposed to go, then my stomach makes the decision for me. I head over to Sugarcube Corner the place, where Twilight goes for baked goods. I enter to see a pink mare jump on me and shout “Come on, Sombry, I need you try some of my experimental cupcakes.”
(One couldn't hurt) I thought smiling.
I stumbled out of Sugarcube Corner. I feel really sick as I ate too many cupcakes but they just were so good. Remind me to never go alone to taste Pinkie’s cupcakes. Then almost out of nowhere a Pegasus mare bumps into me. I was about to snarl when I realised her eyes were odd. The mare said “I’m sorry, I should have watched were I was going.”
I replied calmly “No problem, I see you have trouble with your eyesight. It was just an accident.” The grey mare looked at me with a smile. I asked “Who are you?”
The grey mare replied “Derpy, part of the Cloudsdale Mail service. I am extremely clumsy because of my poor eyesight and cause problems for those who I work with. My boss doesn’t like me very much.”
I said “Meet me at the Carousel Boutique later and we can talk to Mayor Mare about getting you some assistance. You shouldn’t struggle because of something beyond your control.”
Derpy said “Thank you, I am very grateful, I’ll finish my rounds and then I’ll join you for the meeting.” She flies off as I smile.It feels good to help ponies, I am going to enjoy it here.
I smiled as I wake, I look to the table near me. I try to glow my horn to grab my favorite hat. I felt a sharp pain in my horn in response. I try to push myself out of my bed only to fall off the bed and land on my side. I cried out “Help me, somepony, anypony!”
I hear the crackling of magic as I look up to see Discord stand above me, he picks me up and asked me with a huge grin “What are you doing out of your bed?” I pointed a hoof to my hat as I rubbed the back of my head. I felt something soft land on my head as he clicked his claws. I reach up only to feel my hat, I smile wider than I have in quite a while.
I look up at him, only to notice that despite his odd appearance I feel welcome, safe. I look into his eyes closely and I see something, regret, a feeling I knew all too well. I asked “Are you alright?”
He shook his head smiling “I'm fine, nothing is wrong, I am completely fine, he softly places me on my bed and summons a glass of chocolate milk.”
I said concerned “You don’t have to hide from me, I have been there before. Please let me hear why you are like this.”
Discord sat down and said “I betrayed all I knew, I turned on my friends because the opportunity for power was there and I seized it, teaming up with Tirek to rule all of Equestria. I hurt all of them so much, I am feared beyond all measure, not just for my past but my present actions.”
I said “Discord, I have been there. I sought to oppose Twilight in every way to become more powerful. I made the wrong decision and almost destroyed Ponyville with my actions, I even declared war on Celestia.”
Discord cried “It’s not the same, it was not an amulet that made me do it. I made the choice!”
He looked down at his claws for some time. I got sick of watching him, I shouted “Discord, I understand it hurts, maybe I was controlled by an artifact but I made the choice to use it, I should’ve known better. The two of us have let our arrogance blind us and make us do things, we didn’t want to do. We can change that image of ourselves, together.”
Discord said smiling “Thank you would you join me for dinner, my lady?” He gave my forehoof a light kiss. I blushed and nodded, I watched his face light up. He said “Oh, I must get ready, I have never had a dinner guest before.”
I said “I don’t mind what you do, just remember you’re the Lord of Chaos. I expect it to be as chaotic as you are” I watched him blush slightly before looking away, I smiled at him, there that is what you get for making me blush. Then a thought hit me that made my smile drop, did I just flirt with the Lord Of Chaos, am I falling for him? I blushed profusely trying to hide the thought of it but it kept coming back like an irritating itch.
I lay there in my bed for hours. I am arguing with myself, “You are the Great and Powerful Trixie, this feeling of infatuation is just a phase you’ll get over it and soon you will be where you deserve to be on top of the world!”
I shouted “Yeah and that worked so well, I am weak and a loser. I couldn’t win with my own ability, I’m nothing but a fraud.” I blink at myself as I realise what has been holding me back, the part of me that left cold and alone. I shouted “You are the part of me I have never been able to get rid of. I let you grip me so tight to protect me from hurt and pain. From my parents, from my peers, no more I face this world as myself. You are my stage persona, my mask but you are not me, you are just a shield.”
I watched as my other side vanishes. I smiled as I felt the weight lift off my shoulders, no longer bound by my own image. I smiled knowing I can show my true self off for the first time in years. Discord, you have showed me a new path, a path where I can be my true self.
I notice the time and then I wonder how I am going to attend dinner when I can’t stand. I hear crackle of magic then I am lifted into the air. I found myself in Discord’s arms again. I blushed, looking at his toothy grin. He said mockingly “Oh blushing, are we? Hahaha, I am flattered, It must be my chaotic charm.” I giggled slightly at that.
I still don’t know what to make of this feeling but I know with time I will get clarity on the issue as I spend more time with him. I look a little closer and I see something behind those eyes, a small sadness hidden behind all the chaos and glee, not like before, this was old like a wound that never healed.
I felt a slight shift as he laid me down in a tall chair, I grabbed my hat as I realised we were upside down. He laughed “You said chaotic right, this is only the start.” He clicked his fingers and singing teapots entered the room. I laughed at the teapots as they sung songs and poured tea into our cups.
I asked him with concern “Are you okay?”
He shook his head and smiled as he spoke “I’m fine, I am glad for the company, I haven’t had somepony in my home since....” I watch as tears drop from his eyes.
I asked “What’s wrong tell me the truth, I want to help you as you have helped me.” He simply shook his head at me. I said annoyed at his stubbornness “Fine, then I will tell you about my past first then! I watched him stare at me. I said “It was years back, the thing that caused the most of my problems was the fact I was the first Unicorn in a long line of Earth ponies.”
He asked me “How does that work? It makes no sense.”
I responded “I haven’t had the full truth but my best bet is this once was all ponies were Earth ponies and the other races came from them. Thus sometimes a child of an earth pony will be a unicorn or pegasi without any being in their family, besides what fun is there in making sense.”
Discord said as he laughed “That’s my line!”
I smirked at him “I know.”
He calmed down a little bit and asked as he drank some of his tea “Could you please continue?”
I said “Well, my parents were very traditional Earth ponies, they told me magic was bad and I shouldn't use it. I did as they asked yet despite this, they never truly respected me. It all came to a halt when a unicorn turned up and performed magic he even called me up to the stage and allowed me to assist, I felt fulfilled for the first time in my life. He had shown me the power of magic and I started learning in secret. Things all went wrong when I got my cutie mark, the sign that I had magic talent angered them so greatly, they kicked me off the farm without a second thought.”
Discord looked at me with horror and anger in his eyes. He shouted “Who would do such a thing to their own child and I thought I was cruel, at least I would protect my own kids, if I had any.”
I asked “Discord, how about you tell me what’s troubling you?”
He sighed “Fine, just let me get the food ready.” I levitated the tea to my lips, it was surprisingly good. I watched as plates of food, from hay fries to high class cakes covered the table. I smiled seeing how far the Draconequus would go.
I gorged myself realising just how hungry I was. I grabbed several hay sandwiches and levitated them onto my plate. I also put a large amount of hayfries on the side. I shoved my muzzle into the food, ignoring all decorum. I haven’t eaten this good in years. I looked up to see the Draconequus he said with a smile “Wow, Trixie you must have been really hungry.” I smiled sheepishly at him.
He said “My issues came from Celestia, we were good friends for many a year until one day, I went a little too far with my chaos powers, I accidentally hurt Luna with a spell. I was seen as a threat by Celestia, she told me to never set foot in Equestria, I tried to explain myself but she didn’t want any of it. I sat there on my own for many years until the isolation slowly drove me mad. I eventually snapped and you know the stories right?” I nodded as he looked at me.
I said “Thanks for sharing that with me.”
He shook his head “It was only fair you shared part of your past with me, I should do the same.” I smiled as grabbed as much food and put it on my plate with my magic then gobbled it all up. He smiled as he said “I think you and I have had a good meal but it’s getting late." I looked out the window to see the moon shining in the sky. I then felt myself lifted in the air. I look up to see the Discord carrying me to my room, I smiled with a slight blush before exhaustion took hold and I fell asleep.
I watched as our former enemy was reading through a book. I asked “Sombra, why are we in the Everfree?”
Sombra replied “I don’t want to scare the ponies in the town. Anyway the first step to using dark magic is simple, find the hatred, the anger and focus on it.” I frowned but followed through with what he said. I started to shudder I felt the darkness trying to control me. I screamed as the hatred started to consume my mind, then I felt a small green glow and the pain eased.
I said “That did hurt, I have many dresses to make and instead I’m stuck here.” I shake my head.
Sombra said “It’s not easy but what you will need to do next is to focus it on a target.” I watch as he levitates 3 sticks, he said “Okay, use your anger and then focus it on these sticks.” I let the power in again and then tried to direct it towards the sticks. I managed to hit one with a small beam of energy, then I felt sick and all went black.
I woke in my bed, I struggled to move. I heard Sombra say “Not bad, I’m impressed.”
I asked as I lay there “I failed in knocking the sticks down, why are you impressed?”
He said “Rarity, this is not a simple thing. Even with my advanced knowledge of dark magic, I am not a master of it. This takes many millennia to master and I’ve only had 1 millennia, you being able to produce anything while trying to control it is amazing. You look quite tired, I’ll take you to bed.”
I smiled at the statement before I collapsed to the ground. I woke up in a field of flowers, the location is beautiful. The sun is shining brightly over the flowers causing them to glow gold. The ground shifted and I was in Ponyville but there was something wrong. The ponies were in chains, I looked around to see the fear in their eyes and the worst part is it felt good. I laughed loudly as I trotted to the Golden Oaks library. I arrived and saw my five friends staring at me. I said with a venom in my voice, “You are all mine now. I am your leader your god and you will all bow.” I pushed Twilight’s head to the ground as I took her crown.
I heard a loud roar, I step out only to see 2 Alicorns in full battle armour. I laughed “Celestia, Luna you two dare to try and stop me.” I summon dark crystals all around me. I lift my dark blade in my magic and charge, I tear into Celestia leaving her lying a bloody pool on the ground.Luna growled at me, I glowed my red horn and whispered “Come to me, my Nightmare serve your master.” I watched as the Luna screamed but to to no avail as she transformed into Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Moon bowed “My master, what is you command?”
I laughed “Shroud the world in eternal night and bring Equis to my hooves.” I laughed as everything fell into place.
I woke up shivering only to see Sombra lying on the floor, he must have carried me to bed, I smiled at the thought. I pushed myself to my hooves and trotted down the stairs, trying not to wake him. I got myself a glass of milk and sat there, that nightmare was horrifying, I was the tyrant the monster and yet I enjoyed it. I slammed my head into my desk before looking at all that I had made. I see dresses that I had to finish and I just didn’t care. It stung me deep I screamed “What is happening, why am I like this?! Is this what I am now a monster?!”
I heard a sleepy voice behind me “You’re not a monster, just a troubled soul. Don’t you worry, I will help.” I turned around to see Sombra yawning as he got himself his own milk.
I said “I’m sorry I woke you. I was just stressed out.” I looked down at my hooves nervously.
Sombra replied sombrely “I know you pain, you had a nightmare about being a powerful tyrant. You made all your friends into your slaves and subjects.”
I asked shocked “How do you know that?”
He replied “I have been there, it was the thing I struggled with the most after I was given a second chance. I still get it sometimes but I have come to terms with it, that was the old me.”
I frowned as asked “What should I do? I don’t know if can keep this up.”
He replied calmly “Take it a hoof at a time, try not to think of the bigger picture. The sooner you can control it and let it become normal the pain will lessen.”
I asked “Um, could you lie with me tonight. I’m scared, really scared.” He smiled and nodded as he smiled with his toothy grin. I shuddered slightly at that, I wonder if I’ll ever get used to that.
He swept me up in his hooves and carried me up to my bed. I closed my eyes, I have to admit his fur is warm. A voice shouted in my head (Why are not attacking him, he tried to kill all your friends, why don’t you hate him?!)
I shouted back at the voice (He is making the effort to change and I am no better, what I did was horrible, so shut it!)
He laid me in the bed and I smiled as I felt his warmth. I felt safer against my own darkness. I fell asleep, hoping only sweet dreams awaited me.
I yawned as I woke in my bed. I heard the sound of hoofsteps, I turned to see Discord walking in with a smile. He was holding a tray of pancakes. He smiled as I ate my food, he said “I am going to take you to the library today, I would like to see what you can do.”
I said “Um, I’m not as powerful as Twilight.”
He laughed “Maybe, but she is boring always doing normal magic, you have a finesse she can’t hope to match.”
I smiled “Well then I will show you what I can do.”
He clicked his claw summoning a wheelchair. He levitated me into the chair and wheeled me out of the room. He turned the stairs into a ramp and rolled me down the stairs. I thought (He is being such a gentlestallion, I’ve never been shown such respect, yet again I doubt anypony has trusted him as much as I do.)
We entered a empty room, Discord asked “Are you ready to start?”
I smiled at him “Yes, I have just the story in mind, a legend of how Equis was created.” I smiled as my horn glowed creating images “Long ago there was a powerful being, the Goddess of Harmony Melody, she crafted a world full of bounty and riches. Yet no creature could enjoy it so she tasked her two children, born along with the first stars to bring life. Her first child Faust, the Alicorn Demi-god of Order began creating fish, reptiles and snakes. Her brother the Draconequus Demi-God of Chaos, Dissonance created Manticores, Cockatrices, and Cerberi. As the years went on they continued creating more and more creatures.”
Discord was watching on in awe at the images I had conjured. I smiled as I continued “The Goddess Melody granted them one final task, to create life that was aware of it’s own existence. Dissonance created the Griffins, Minotaurs and Dragons, while Faust created the Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth Ponies as well as the Zebras. Melody was very pleased with both her children's efforts and she told them they were to watch over their kind. The pair visited each other, but each Dissonance arrived in the pony or zebra’s lands, they looked at him with fear while whenever Faust arrived in his lands, she was adored and respected.”
I grabbed some water before continuing “One day Dissonance asked ‘Why do your ponies and zebras fear me while the griffins, minotaurs and dragons adore you?’
Faust replied ‘Where does this nonsense come from, your people do adore you.’
Dissonance walked amongst his people and he heard the whispers ‘Why do we serve him again, he is a monster.’ Day in and day out it was all he shard, all of them hated him’ His heart began to grow cold, he tried to fight it, in doing he accidently released the wendigos trying to banish his sorrow.
Faust arrived one a day after the defeat of the Wendigos, she snarled “Dissonance how dare you send the wendigos to attack my kind.”
Dissonance gasped “I didn’t send them to your land, what are you talking about?’
Faust snarled ‘Your lying, they attacked my little ponies.’
Dissonance said ‘I’m sorry it’s just my heart is growing cold because my people hate me, and scorn me while they worship the ground you walk on.’
Faust snarled ‘You expect me to believe that you were always jealous of me.’
Dissonance roared sick of the constant belittling ‘Get out, I don’t need you any more.’ He cried himself to sleep that night.
I took another drink before continuing “Years past and he heard of the his sister having two kids with a mortal. This was the last straw, in his anger he barged into Faust’s castle.
She was sitting next to her husband, she asked ‘Brother, why are you here?’
Dissonance smirked ‘I’m here to take your seat.’ He clicked his claws and a prison made of pure chaos surrounding her, he then the clicked his fingers again teleporting them to an isolated mountain range.
Faust begged “Please stop, brother.”
Dissonance snarled “After you ignored me, and treated me like dirt. I am like this because of you.” He clicked his claws again as he shoved her into the mountain as he said “You will stay here until I decide to release you, this is I declare in the name of Chaos itself.” He clicked his claws the prison closing in her as her screams dissapeared.
He teleported to the back to the castle and the king snarled ‘I defeat you, you foul beast.”
Dissoance clicked his fingers ‘Should I ever release my sister, I will release you as well. The stallion screamed as the stone enclosed around him.’ Dissonance knew there were two others in the castle. He walked up into a room to see two foals lying there both in cribs. Her stared at the pair for a long time, he shook his head ‘I have already got my vengeance, I will not kill two innocent foals. Dissonance sent them away to live with a earth pony couple, out of sight and out of mind. Melody saddened by what happened cried over the forest, 6 of those tears landed on a tress granting it tremendous magical power, this tree became known as the tree of Harmony.”
I looked up to see Discord crying, I asked “What’s wrong?”
Discord cried “Faust, I’m so sorry. I was a fool.”
I tapped him on the shoulder, “Discord what’s wrong?”
He said drying his tears “That’s story is about me, my birth name is Dissonance.”
I gasped “Does that mean, your Celestia’s and Luna’s uncle?”
Discord said “Yes and they don’t know that, they were never told about that. I made that the one thing they would never know. In truth is I feel bad about my sister but I’m not ready to forgive her, she hurt me so much.”
I said with a small smile “Discord, I’ll help you through this. You’re a good friend to me. If you ever want to talk just ask.”
I wrapped my front legs around him and gave him a hug. He lowered me down to the floor and we dozed off together.
I blinked, my hooves felt heavy. I looked around to see the snow, I sighed where is this. I was defeated by the princesses and then I woke up here. Wait they cast some spell on me I remember, but what was the spell. I saw a large pack of wolves, I knew these what these were the accursed Ice Wolves, icy golems that took wolf form. I sighed, these foul things lurked here in the north.
I followed them until I saw large city before me, I sighed the Crystal Empire. It belongs to the Princesses now. They won and the loser serves the victor after all. The wolves dashed into the city. I galloped after them, I saw a pink barrier but the wolves passed through it unscathed. I knew this power, the Crystal Heart, would it let me in. I had no choice, I jumped through the barrier without hesitating. I smiled as I got through.
I charged as I saw ponies screaming for help as the wolves chased them, I saw a pony trip. I used a dark crystal to tear though the creatures skull. I looked down at the mare who looked at me with fear much to my confusion. How does anypony know me, it’s been 1000 years. I said “Get out of here before they come for you.” The wolves were all around me, I smiled as I summoned my sword “You have no idea who your dealing with.” I smashed one with my hoof before cutting another’s head off, I headbutted another, I could feel the thrill of combat in me veins again.
I then heard the sound of metal clattering. I saw ponies standing there in crystal armour, the large white stallion glared at me. The wolves bolted at the sight of so many guards. The stallion said “King Sombra, why are you here?”
I frowned “I’m just Sombra now and how do you know me?”
He snarled “Are you kidding me, you tried to take over the Crystal Empire as a giant shadow monster.”
I blinked “When, I have been asleep for over 1000 years?”
He scowled “I’m Shining Armour, Prince of the Crystal Empire and it wasn’t that long ago that you attacked us.”
I asked confused “Did you usurp Celestia and Luna?’
Shining Armour snarled “No, me and many wife are ruling the Crystal Empire as they have to rule Canterlot.”
I said “Well then I pledge my life to your service for as long as I live as I would have done to the Princesses.”
Shining Armour asked confused “Why would you serve us?”
I said “It’s my duty, the loser serves the victor. Celestia and Luna won against me, so I live to serve their cause which means I serve you as you represent them.”
Shining Armour frowned “We’ll escort you you the castle so my wife and I can make a decision on what to do with you.” I nodded, we all headed to the castle, ponies glared at me with distaste. When I entered the castle ponies sneered at me and some even wanted to throw food at me, I had no idea why.
Shining Armour said as we entered the room “Cadence my love, we need to discuss something.”
Cadence asked “What is it Shining?” They revealed me. Cadence scowled “What is he doing here?”
Shining Armour said “He was protecting some ponies who were being attacked by those wolves, we really need to station more guards around the perimeters.”
I said “I pledge my service to you, but I would like to know why everypony hates me so much.” After the explanation he sighed “It seems I have a lot to atone for, what is your first request of me.”
Shining Armour said “I need you to go to Ponyville and watch over my sister, I also want you to keep an eye on Discord.”
I gasped “Discord’s free.”
Cadence said “He’s somewhat reformed but after his assistance of Tirek we are keeping an eye on him, we not sure if he turn on us again.”
I said “Very well, you wish is my command. If you lose contact with me, assume I’m dead, from what you told me I’m not well liked. Don’t worry this won’t come back to you.” I turned into smoke and flew off to Ponyville.
****Meanwhile****
Cadence asked “Are you sure we can trust him?”
Shining Armour frowned “No, that’s why he’s in Ponyville Discord or the Celestia and Luna will deal with him should he try anything, I don’t trust him up here and Discord will confront him should he cause too much trouble by having both of them in the same area they lower each others threat rating.”
Cadence said “Let’s just hope this doesn’t backfire.”
I said “Okay I didn’t explain this but it may help, darkness is not just about anger it’s about control and direction. It also can be fuelled by other emotions sorrow, grief and pain. Anger is general the easiest to start with as we tend to have a lot of it.”
I watched as Rarity began to focus when she started to glow, I knew what this was, it was a Remnant power. I shouted “Rarity stop!” Rarity stopped and collapsed to the floor, when she woke an hour later. I asked “Are you okay?’
Rarity cried “No, I began hearing the voices again. I hate the voices.”
I asked “What voices?”
Rarity said trying to hold back tears “The Nightmare, I became a monster and hurt my friends, what if it comes back?”
I said “I will teach you how to control it, it is called remnant. It wields tremendous power and is a a mark left by the use of incredible dark power. Those who master there remnant can wield power greater than even the creature that left it.”
Rarity screamed “I want the voices to stop, they hurt so much.”
I pulled her into a hug “Rarity, cry it out. I will help you get rid of the voice, but you will have to trust me.”
Rarity cried into my coat I thought (Damn the Nightmare, to think it had caused all this harm. I will need to help her overcome this.) I smiled as she fell sleep, as much as I would have to lay next to such a beautiful mare. He heard a knock at the door, he opened it to see Derpy.
I asked “Are you ready to speak to the mayor?”
Derpy replied “Yes, I am.”
I smiled “Good, let’s go.” Derpy and I arrived at the Mayor’s office, we trotted in.
A pony at the reception asked “May inquire as to why you two are here?”
I said “We are to discuss the quality of the Cloudsdale Mail Service branch here in Ponyville.”
The receptionist asked “Is there a problem?”
I said firmly “Derpy here is being treated unfairly because she has a disability and that needs to rectified. If one case is ignored it makes it easier to ignore others.”
The receptionist said “Very well, you can meet with here in an hour, she is free then.”
Derpy asked “What do you mean disabled?”
I said “You eyes, that is a medical condition that obviously can’t be treated and hampers your lifestyle, that means you struggle with task others can do easily. I am hoping you are given extra care to make sure your eyes don’t hamper your work.”
Derpy cried “But I don’t want others to see me as different.”
I smiled “We are all different, that’s makes us important. We are an individual we bring something special, we are not expendable.”
Derpy smiled “Thanks you Sombra, the stories about you are wrong.”
I laughed “Oh I was a horrible king, I think what I am trying to do is to make amends for my mistakes, at first it was out of duty to those who bested me but the longer I spend here the happier I feel like I can bare the darkness better.”
Derpy smiled “Well I’m glad our little town is helping you.”
The receptionist said “The Mayor is ready to speak with you.”
We nodded and entered the mare office, She said “Sombra, I’m Mayor Mare and you were here to speak about Derpy correct.”
I said “Yes, Derpy's eyes cause her to be treated unfairly and I believe this is something that needs to be corrected.”
Mayor Mare said “I will speak with the Cloudsdale Mail Service and see what I can do, I have had few incidents in the past, I will see to it that it gets done.”
Derpy asked “Is there anyway to make my job easier due to my condition?’
Mayor Mare said “What would help would be high levels of flight training, I will pull some strings to get you trained properly so you can fly better.”
I said “Thanks for you time.”
Mayor Mare said “No, thank you for your time. I seek to improve ponies lives, I’m glad you brought this to my attention.”
Derpy smiled as we left “Thanks Sombra, you have been a big help.”
I arrived back at Rarity’s place. Rarity asked “Where did you go?”
I smiled “I had to help Derpy with some issues, how has your day been?”
Rarity said “Good, I did get a few orders done and did some practise with my magic but I would like you to assist me.”
I said “I will as I promised.”
Rarity said “Anyway, I have a spa trip with Fluttershy and you could use it. Besides it will help you two get along. Maybe we should star getting you to interact with my friends at some point, especially Twilight.”
At that moment Twilight barged in, I felt a huge burst of magic from Discord’s home, we need to check it out.”
I go to Trixie's room, I’m glad she understands me and all I’ve been through. Still why do I keep getting this warm fuzzy feeling, I arrived in Trixie’s room. Trixie asked me “Um, you said you were friends with Celestia but you were her Uncle.”
I said “I wasn’t always a Draconequus, I was a Chimaera and Faust was an Alicorn. I took the identity Discord to help take care of them. I stole their parents but I made sure they were raised right, I even guided them to Starswirl to teach them what they could really do, after he dissapeared along with the rest of the pillars. I became their friends and helped them though all of it until they lost it at me and I became a monster again.”
Trixie smiled “I’m glad you shared that with me.”
I said “Well I want to test something, it may help improve you magical power.”
Trixie blinked “What kinda of test.”
I said “A simple levitation test, I need to get a feel for you magic.”
I put her in the wheelchair and began to wheel her down. She asked “Why do you need feel my magic.”
I replied “Trixie , you didn’t use magic when you were younger, I suspect you body has sealed up a lot of it’s power subconsciously.”
Trixie shouted “What you mean to tell me I have been never able to use my full magical power.”
I asked “Did you ever suffer from magic bursts?”
Trixie shook her head “No, I haven’t.”
I frowned “That’s the first reason any semi-decent unicorn will have some level of magic bursts, the second is the Alicorn Amulet, the thing about that amulet is it doesn’t really power on up, it increase their power sure but only two maybe three fold if your lucky but from what I heard it increased way too much. You went form being above average to surpassing the literally element of magic, the amulet also releases all latent potential of the wielder.”
Trixie frowned “So great I may not have needed the damn thing, that makes feel worse about it.”
I sighed “Trixie don’t worry it’s in the past, let’s look to the future.” We entered the magical practice room in my home.” I clicked my claws and summoned several small blocks. I said “Levitate these blocks for me, if you using magic s will give me easier access to the channels.”
Trixie said “Okay, just be gentle magical channels are quite sensitive.” I nodded and she began to levitate the blocks. I could felt her magic but it clearly was restricted, I weaved my influence in, I heard her humming. I saw several barriers holding back her magic, I tapped each one unravelling the constraints. As soon as I was done her magic exploded outwards in a flash of light.
She was smiling as she sat on her wheelchair. I could feel her magic flowing through her. Trixie asked “I want to try something, is that permissible?”
I smiled “Just don’t leave the castle.”
She cast a spell and dissapeared, then a second later she was back again. She smiled like a giddy school-filly, she shouted “Yes, I can teleport. I always wanted to learn but they all told me I didn’t have enough magic power to do it and no matter how efficient I got I could never cast it.”
I frowned “I hate that rule, Starswirl’s Third Law of Magical Efficiency, you can’t improve the efficiency of a spell until you learn how to do it, it what keeps lesser unicorns from achieving great feats of magic. I would have changed if it didn’t risk destroying reality.”
Trixie smiled “I wonder else I could do.” She teleported away and I blinked as she returned with 10 books on magic. I smiled as she alternated between reading spells and casting them repeatedly.
I said after about an hour “You should stop.”
Trixie complained “But I just got started>”
I frowned pointing at her “You still haven’t fully recovered, pushing too hard will slow you recovery. Your increased magic reserves will increase you healing rate but still it will take a while.”
I escorted her to her room, I clicked my claws turning the blank white walls into walls that were covered in purple stars. I smiled “Have a good rest Trixie.” I smiled as I walked out, she was quite a nice mare and really understanding, she’s also smart and witty. Hmm, she’s make a good partner, I felt a tingling in my chest. I said “Chest stop tingling.”
Two mini mes stepped out and said “We can’t, you have caught a bug.”
I frowned at them” I don’t believe that, I can’t love you know that.”
The two mini mes scowled “Well, something changed and you have to deal with it. She is an attractive mare and understands you better than anyone else ever did.”
I said “But we have only known each other a few days, how could I like her like that. I have known Fluttershy for much longer, that would make sense.”
The mini mes said “Yes, you knew her for longer but you have shared more with Trixie she knows who you are and accepts you for it. You should give it a chance.”
I said “I’ll think about it.”
They nodded and dissapeared. I heard a loud knocking, I opened the door to see the Twilight and her friends as well as Sombra, I smiled “How’s my favourite bookworm, still reading books.”
Twilight rolled her eyes “Yes, I still read books, now we were to investigate the burst of magic.”
I said “I released the magic seals on Trixie's magic, that’s what you felt.”
Twilight gasped “How is she that powerful?”
I shook my head “Sealed magic, anyway what can I do for the rest of you.”
Pinkie shouted as she bolted out the door “Oh my gosh I have plan a Trixie got her full magic power back party and I also have to finish the Trixie gets better party! I wonder if she likes cakes?!”
Sombra asked “Discord, how’s life been treating you?”
I smiled “Good, I hated being in a statue and I’m enjoying my freedom.”
Rainbow Dash asked “Do you want to go on pranking run with me later?”
I grinned “Sure, that sounds like fun.”
Rarity asked “Can I apologise to Trixie?’
I said “Trixie is resting, she is very eager to test her magic, you can come over tomorrow” my eyes narrowed “providing you don’t hurt her again.”
Fluttershy smiled “I’m proud of you Discord, you are being really kind.”
I smiled “Trixie and I understand each other very well. You still up for tea time in a few days?
Fluttershy smiled and nodded. Twilight said “I need to speak to Discord alone.” Her friends and Sombra left, I was pretty sure he was not her friend. Twilight scowled “I don’t want you or Trixie to do anything funny, I still haven’t completely forgiven you after Tirek and you two being together worries me.”
I frowned “You think I’m a bad influence.”
Twilight snarled “Yes, I do you turned on us as soon as it was convenient for you. You’re the only reason I accept Sombra being around, if you turn bad again he will be an asset, the Princesses beat him with their own strength but you they needed the elements which are conveniently unavailable which mean technically we have a long trek to use them and the tree may die if we take them.”
I frowned “So Sombra is just a tool to keep in line to you huh. You obviously don’t trust me so you might as well leave.”
Twilight glared at me as she exited “I’m watching you.” I may have hurt more than I realised, what in the name of chaos am I supposed to do to fix this. I sighed and decided to take a long nap.
I shouted “I’m trying alright, I am not used to trying to funnel my emotions like this!”
Sombra sighed “Alright, how about this think of something that makes you mad. Anger is the most powerful driving force so let’s start with that. What makes you angry?”
I sat there “Um I’m not sure, I have gotten angry quite a lot.”
Sombra shook his head “Fine, then find something that has made you angry in the past.”
I looked through my memories, I felt something click. I roared “Damn him to Tartarus, he ruined everything that night.” I could see that pompous bastard’s face, Blueblood the one who turned my world on it’s head, the one who destroyed the way I saw the world. I hate him so much, I will make him pay.
Sombra smiled “Keep going.” I felt my form shift and I looked my hooves, they were a darker colour. Sombra levitated a mirror in front of me, I saw my Nightmare form staring back at me. I screamed. Sombra put his hoof on my shoulder, he said “Don’t worry, it’s still you, just a different version,” he smiled “You have done very well, whoever did this must have made very angry.”
I snarled “It‘s Prince Blueblood, he is utterly unforgivable, he was the exact opposite of princely. He used my clothes to sit on and even threw me in the way of a cake to protect himself.”
Sombra smiled “I have a plan, we are going to show him tonight but of it to work you need to able to turn into shadows.” I smiled and vanished into smoke, Sombra gasped “How did you do that?”
I frowned “I do remember what I did as Nightmare and I used this quite a few times.”
Sombra looked down “I’m sorry for bringing up bad memories.”
I smiled “Well then tell me your grand prank for Blueblood.”
Sombra smirked “Well we’re going to send him running to Luna like a timid foal running to their parents.”
I smirked “I like this idea.” I turned back to normal and continued my day, sowing dresses and serving customers.
I smiled “Goodnight Sweetie Belle, stay out of trouble.”
Sweetie Belle smiled “I promise not to get out of my bed tonight.”
I nodded and trotted out to see Sombra standing in front of me. He asked “Time for a little fun.”
I smiled “Agreed, let’s go.” After a few minutes to change forms we turned into mist and flew towards Canterlot, I loved the feeling of the wind. I think I’m starting to understand how Rainbow feels, flight is so liberating. We arrived in the castle, we stuck to the shadows.
We found Prince Blueblood shouting “Get out of my way, I’m Prince Blueblood and I require food.”
The guard frowned “I’m sorry Prince but I nopony is allowed to interrupt what’s going on in there.”
Prince Blueblood said “Fine, I didn’t need to eat anyway.”
The guard smiled and opened the door “Princess, I got him to go away.”
I heard Celestia’s voice “Good, now I can eat my cake in peace.” Sombra chuckled softly as we followed the Prince. As we followed him through the shadows, Sombra began making moaning sounds. I howled in response, I smiled as Prince Blueblood galloped to his room in fear, he locked his door. We slid under the door in our shadow forms. Sombra created the illusions of a Timberwolf and a Zompony, he screamed.
Then Sombra tapped him on the wither, he jumped and turned around. Sombra smiled a toothy grin “I’m the Lord of Shadows and you will serve me.”
I then followed his lead appearing behind him, I smirked “And he’s not alone, I am the Nightmare.”
We watched as he galloped out of the room screaming “Luna!!!!!” Sombra and I fell to the floor laughing, I must admit this was fun. I think I may do a few more pranks with Sombra’s help, oh Rainbow you are so going to get it now.
The with a pop we saw Luna glaring at us. She shouted “Sombra what are you doing here” she then looked at me “and who’s your friend, and why does she look familiar?”
Sombra said calmly “We’ll tell you once he leaves.” Blueblood was hiding behind Luna.
Luna said “Blueblood, you will leave.” He was about to open his mouth when she glared at him.
She then put up a soundproofing spell to prevent eavesdropping. Sombra smiled “We just were pranking him.”
I snarled “He deserved it too, that royal bastard. He was an absolute despicable stallion at the Gala!”
Luna eyes widened as she put two and two together “Rarity, how?!”
I asked “Do your remember my incident with the Nightmare? This is that form but right now it only has a fraction of that power. It is the remnant the Nightmare left behind. Still if I utilise it correctly I may surpass the original Nightmare.”
Luna gasped “Isn’t that dangerous, we were trying to fix this darkness issue?”
I frowned “Have you any results?” Luna shook her head. I said “Well then tell them not to bother, there is no point to it anymore. I can wield the darkness now and I’m in control.”
Me and Sombra returned to Ponyville before Luna could argue with us. Sombra asked “Are you okay with this?”
I had turned back to normal, Sombra looked at me concerned “Um, something’s wrong with your eyes.”
I levitated a mirror and saw my eyes had turned green like his, I smiled as I as the purple trails flowing out the back “I could make it work, I will have to make some design changes to what I wear though.”
Sombra asked “Are you okay?”
I let out wicked cackle , he jumped as his horn glowed. I laughed “I’m just teasing, come on let’s get some sleep.” I smiled as I dozed off thinking of how to get Dash back.”
I woke up and went up to Trixie’s room. I smiled, she was sleeping soundly. My heart tingled in her presence. I sighed, I had no idea how to approach this love wasn’t a familiar topic. I mean loving couples caused a lot of chaos but beyond that I have no idea, I made some pancakes.
Trixie woke up and smiled as I levitated the breakfast to her. As I watched her eat my mind mulled over what to do, the it clicked. I knew one pony who could help me, Princess Cadence. I said “Trixie , I need some advice from somepony but I’ll be back in couple of hours.” I clicked my claws summoning all the books on magic in my home into a pile. I smiled “Now you won’t be bored while I’m gone.”
Trixie smiled warmly “Thanks Discord ,your a good friend.” I turned around my face slightly red, sweet Celestia it’s getting worse. I clicked my claws and dissapeared. I arrived flying above the Crystal Empire, I made a swift but calm landing. I noticed more than a few ponies glared at me. I walked to the castle, I must admit the crystals were quite pretty.
As I approached the Castle one of the guards poked me with his lance. He snarled “You’re not welcome here monster.”
His fellow guard hit him over the back of the head “You dolt, do you want him to turn us into pot plants or cotton candy or crystals.”
The first guard snarled back “It’s better than pandering to this monster.” I slammed my claw into my face, this is stupid.
A voice shouted “Enough, what the is the meaning of all this?” I looked up to see Prince Armour scowling at his guards.
They stammered “We were having an argument because of him.” I frowned as they pointed at me.
Prince Armour commanded “After your duty is finished I expect fifty laps on the training grounds from each of you.” They grumbled something under their breath. He frowned “Discord, what are you doing here?”
I smiled nervously “Um, I am here to speak with Princess Cadence, I need her advice on a tough topic.”
He blinked for a few seconds before smirking “Oh my wife is going to enjoy this, come on better not leave her waiting.” I followed the Prince, he certainly wasn’t making this easy for me. He knocked on the door of the throne room.
I heard Cadence shout “Come in!” Cadence frowned at her husband as she stared at me.
Shining smirked “He needs you advice on a ‘tough topic’.”
Cadence frown dissapeared, she said “Come with me Discord.” I followed her to her room, it was very pink and I also noticed a game of Oubliettes and Ogres sticking out from under the bed, I smiled that must belong to Prince Armour.
I asked “Um, Princess Cadence can we….”
She smiled “Please just Cadence is fine, now who is the lucky girl.”
I smiled nervously “Um, her name is Trixie?”
Cadence smirked “Not a bad choice, must admit I have trying to match you up with somepony, I had 3 choices for you actually, I had considered Celestia.”
I raised an eyebrow “Really?!”
Cadence said “You did give her flowers.”
I said “True, I did hmm.”
Cadence smiled “My other two were Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy is already a good friend and Pinkie Pie is a nice bundle of strange.”
I frowned “Little secret, she actually scares me.”
Cadence blinked “Why?”
I sighed “To be honest if she could use her powers properly, she could have easily overpowered me after I escaped the first time, in fact If she turned out like I did not even the elements could stop her.”
Cadence gasped “What?”
I said “But enough of that, I need romantic advice, I have no idea how to do it. I have set up plenty of couples during my reign of Equestria, love creates a steady supply of chaos but it needs to be cut at some point or else it explodes.”
Cadence said “I think you should take her out on a nice romantic dinner, get her in a pretty dress and go somewhere fancy, from what I know of her from Twilight she would like that.”
I frowned “But she currently incapable of walking.”
Cadence smirked wickedly “Then you will have to help dress her, I’m sure you will have no problem doing that.”
I blushed, my heart beating a little too quickly “I’m sss-ure I won’t.”
She smiled “Go get her and sweep her off he hooves.”
I felt pride surge though me and I teleported back home, I entered the room to see Trixie smiling as she had read 12 of the books and was currently reading the thirteenth. I smirked “Trixie, I see your working quite hard. You may just beat Twilight in being a bookworm.”
She smiled sheepishly “Well, I can’t do much more than read but I would love to practise some spells.”
I smiled “I’d like to take you out somewhere fancy tonight, I have a feeling you’ll enjoy it.”
Trixie blushed “You mean like a date?”
I smirked “Maybe, now let’s get you practising.” Two hours past and I was quite surprised at how well she was going, her teleportation had improved as well as a apt demonstration of fire and ice magic. I smiled “Your really good at this.”
Trixie smiled “I guess after having to work with a restricted magic pool , having full access makes spells so much easier.”
I heard a knock at my door, I saw Rarity standing there. She asked “Can I see Trixie?’
I frowned “Fine, but you will not cause her any trouble.” She nodded and entered the room, I just hoped there wouldn’t be a problem. I sighed at least tonight would be good.
I smirked as I read a newspaper, look like baby Blueblood had a cry. Well I better get home, Tavi always complains, still I’ll miss her when the time comes. Urghh immortality is such a drag, I swear how does my son handle it? I returned home with a smiled, I unlocked the door to see Octavia playing her Cello. I looked at her, she’s a beautiful mare. I just wish I could be with her. I smiled “That’s some beautiful playing Tavi, it’s only eclipsed by the mare who is playing.”
Tavi blushed, I grinned “Tavi, your cute when you blush. Don’t worry about cooking, we’ll eat out someplace nice.”
We arrived at the Golden Pony, we both noticed the place was full. I sighed “I’m sorry Tavi, I’d thought you’d like it here.”
She licked her lips as she spoke “I’m fine as long as I’m with you.” We continued to walk, this was weird. I mean me and Tavi have been good friends but for the last month she has been staring at my flank and licking her lips way too often, I swear something was wrong. I looked around as we trotted along, I realised I had no idea were we were. Damn it, I never was good with finding my way around Canterlot. I asked “Tavi, where are we?”
Octavia frowned “I thought you knew, great we’re lost in Canterlot at night.” We wandered aimlessly, this was really annoying, just one good night our with a good friend and this happens.
I turned around stallions wearing white cloaks. I glared the damn Order of the Sun, damn fanatics. I had no idea why they were here, I blinked as one of them bucked Tavi into the wall and another threw a pale white spear into her. She screamed, I was horrified at her injuries, then before my eyes her form shifted, her coat was a darker grey and she was twice her normal size, she had two large demonic wings popping out of her back.
She shouted “Vinyl run, your in danger!”
I felt something sharp pierce through my chest. I sighed as I turned around “Really, urghh I’m really sick of being stabbed it’s uncomfortable.” I pulled the spear out ans stabbed it in the foolish stallion’s head.
I smiled as my wound healed much to the shock of the ponies around me. I grinned “You came hunting a demon and found a goddess.”
I transformed into my true form, I was quite a creature, I was easily twice the size of Tavi. I had a long sharp horn that was half alicorn, half goat I had one small deformed wing and another large alicorn wing, I had a shimmering white coat on one side with a light brown coat on the other. I had two hooves on my right and on my left I had a griffon claw at the front and a dragon claw at the back, my tail was a mix between that of an Alicorn and that of a Draconequus, my mane was pristine and flowing on one side while on the other it was messy and scruffy like usual. I smiled “It’s nice to meet you I’m Melody, Goddess of Harmony.”
I smirked as the stallions galloped off. I carefully removed the spear from Tavi’s side. I chucked it to the ground, I healed Tavi's wound with my magic. Tavi frowned “We have a lot to discuss.”
I said “Yes, we do.” In a blink we were in our home , I guess Tavi had a demon sigil in our home.
Octavia asked “Why did you keep it a secret?”
I frowned “Would an ordinary pony believe I’m a super powerful goddess. I didn’t want anypony to know.”
Octavia sighed “I can see where your coming form, I hid myself because of them.”
I frowned “I’m guessing somepony ratted you out.”
She shook her head “It was only a matter of time, they have been hunting me for years. How does one hide this?”
I asked “Why do you keep licking you lips and staring at my flank?”
She blushed “Because I like you, that’s what demons do when they like other demons.”
I smirked “Well I’m willing to try then, I kissed her on the lips and then hopped on my bed dozing off within minutes.”
I woke up in the morning, I looked up to see Sombra smiling at me. I smiled “I have the day off today, I have to apologise to Trixie and I also have to plan some revenge, Rainbow’s pranks need some payback.”
Sombra smirked “As long as you don’t take it too far, she is not your enemy. She just likes a little joke.” I smiled of course, just a little joke. I could think of quite a few, little jokes I could play.
I said “Maybe a cloud or a bucket of chocolate milk at the door. Ooh a thundercloud, that could work.”
Sombra smiled “It’s all good except the thundercloud, we don’t want to hurt her.”
I frowned “Good point, oh how about some fireworks outside her home, that should be fun.”
Sombra said “Well let’s go then, we have a lot of work to do.”
I smiled “How about we do a prank each?”
Sombra smiled “Sounds good.”
I trotted out of the Boutique, I knew I needed materials. I know a a little dye could do wonders, I don’t know how many time Rainbow has put dye in my shampoo, it’s time for a little bit of a turn around. I grabbed red and green dye, I looked at the clock, oh it’s 9 inn the morning perfect, she is either out working or sleeping at Sweet Apple Acres. I transformed into my remnant form and turned into smoke. It took me the best part of an hour to find her home. I couldn’t fly so going to her home was not a normal thing, I snuck in and grabbed her shampoo I mixed the dye through it. I then flew out the window, I blinked to see Dash arriving home.
I arrived back at the Boutique, I smiled to see Sombra on the couch smiling. He smiled “I guessing you did something simple?”
I smirked “I put dye in her shampoo.”
Sombra smirked “I put a bucket of milk at the top of her door, look like we have planned the perfect co-prank.” I giggled, still I can’t wait to see how she will react to us pranking her.
I put the kettle on and thought (Now what am I going to say to Trixie, she will probably scared. Maybe I should take it slow.) I heard a firm knocking, I opened the door to see a light blue pegasus with a mane that was green and red. I smiled as I let poor Rainbow Dash in trying to hold in my laughter. Once we settled in she shouted “Somepony put a bucket of milk at the top of my door, and then somepony had put green and red hair dye in my shampoo. I thought it was Pinkie but she Pinkie promised it wasn’t her.”
Sombra and I couldn’t hold it in anymore, we burst out laughing. Rainbow blinked for a few moments before the it dawned on her, she snapped “It was you two, I don’t know how but it was you two.”
I smiled “Yes, it was.”
Her jaw dropped in shock as she realised what I did. I laughed “Yes, the prim and proper Rarity pranked you, let’s just recently I’ve started to understand why you like it so much.”
Rainbow said as the shock wore off “What, why me?’
I smiled “Really, you have pranked me so many times. I think it’s only deserving.” I the sighed “I have a apology to make, I have made some foolish mistakes.” I watched as Rainbow trotted out the door still processing it all, I tossed her a bottle with a smiled “It’s dye remover, I think you’ll find it useful.”
She nodded and stumbled away. I sighed “Sombra, I might as well go and see Trixie now. I’ll be back in an hour of two.” I trotted out, I thought all this capability was making me go too far, no it was just a joke and I gave her the fix up liquid. Still the meeting with Trixie. I bumped into something, I looked up to see Discord’s home. I knocked a few times, the door opened a few seconds later. I asked “Can I see Trixie?”
He frowned “Fine, but your will not cause her any trouble.” I nodded and entered the room, it was weird. I’m guessing Trixie never entered the entrance room, there was trees growing balls of fire. I then saw a table barking like a dog, I didn’t blink thought I had grown to expect this form the Draconequus what shocked me more was when I entered the next room, it reminded me of a castle. I frowned this was normal, no weird things happening, this is so unlike him.
He guided me to her room, there was a Cutie Mark symbol on the door, it was a wand and star, Trixie’s Cutie Mark. I opened the door, Trixie eyes widened in horror at my presence. I sighed “Trixie I came to apologise, what I did was unforgivable.”
Trixie didn’t even blink at me, she just stared for several minutes. I asked “Trixie are you okay?”
Trixie finally spoke as her eyes returned to normal, she sighed “Sorry, just bad memories, I remembered that moment.”
I sighed “I’m sorry about that, I just was so angry. You hurt us a lot back then.”
Trixie nodded “Yes, I did I’m sorry Rarity. I never should have bought that damned amulet.”
I asked “What happened to you, you are very different from ‘The Great and Powerful Trixie who arrived in Ponyville.”
Trixie winced “What caused the change was a mix of having too much free time and starvation, I started to think about my actions and how essentially how my foolishness led up to the point of where I was, starving and alone. I took a real gamble coming here and it went better than expected to be honest.”
I blinked “What do you mean?”
Trixie said “Well other than you attacking me” I winced slightly, she continued “I am living with Discord and he has been nothing but a gentlecolt, we are even going out to dinner tonight. I must admit I may have put on a little weight.” I smiled slightly as she poked her side with her hoof.
I smiled “Glad to know you going well.”
Trixie smirked “You are living with tall, dark and handsome aren’t you?”
I blushed “How do you he lived with me?”
She laughed “Because you just told me.” I groaned causing her too laugh harder, she smiled “I think we should do this regularly.”
I smiled “Sure but let me fix you up.” I did read up on some magic and I practised this one a bit.
Trixie asked “What are you going to do?”
I have practised some healing magic, maybe I help fix your wounds. She grimaced “Be careful, medical magic is like a fine needle it requires finesse.” I sow dresses for a living, this shouldn’t be too hard. 3 hours later, I was sweating profusely. I let go of the magic and collapsed to the ground exhausted, Trixie smiled “I feel much better, thank you now let’s see if I can trot?” She put one hoof down on the floor hesitantly before another and another. I smiled as soon she was happily trotting around the room.
I smiled “I’m glad you able to move again.”
Trixie said “Thanks, it is going to make tonight so much easier.”
I said “Yeah, anyway I better get home and take a nap.” I trotted home, I tried to open the door only to get a sharp pain in my head, I knocked on the door. Sombra opined the door and sighed as he saw me rubbing my horn “You overdid didn’t you, urghh I’ll clean you up and get you to bed.”
I blushed as he lifted me in his hooves and took me to the bathroom my blush gre even more as I heard Trixie’s voice echoed in my mind (Still living with tall, dark and handsome aren’t you?) I turned to goop as he massaged my back, I wonder where he learned how to do that.
I smirked this is going to be great, I have never had a date before. I grabbed a green and yellow suit, I hope Trixie likes this. I walked over to her room, I opened the door to see her trotting over to me in a light blue dress. My mouth was literally on the floor. She giggled “You look good too now come on silly, we are going out tonight aren’t we?”
I smiled “Of course. I am a little curious as to your healing?”
She frowned “Rarity exhausted herself to heal me, she would be probably sleeping off an extensive magic drain.”
I said “Remind me to thank her later.” Trixie nodded, we arrived at large pink restaurant. I smiled “Welcome to the Lover’s Nest.”
Trixie blinked “Why is it called that?”
I smiled “It's a place for loving couples to dine at, It’s run by a griffin if I remember correctly.”
Trixie smiled “Sounds perfect for a pair of ponies going out on a date or in this case a pony and a Draconequus.”
We entered to find a griffin at the front, he said “I’ll take you two a seat, I must admit it’s a pleasant surprise to see you here Mr Discord. You were not one to seek out a partner.”
I smiled “I found somepony who understands me and what I’ve been through.” Trixie smiled at me.
I suddenly felt a malice in the air, I turned around to see a tall lanky stallion glaring at me as he roughly chopped some vegetables. I frowned as the griffin guided us to a table, I shook off the frown and asked “Could we have some water while we skim your menu?”
The griffin smiled “Of course, Mr Discord. I hope you enjoy your meal. I’m the head Chef, Golden Goose.” Trixie and I chuckled slightly, he smiled “Yeah, my parents were weird. They thought because of my golden feathers I’d start laying golden eggs, it was embarrassing.”
Trixie rubbed the back of her head “Sorry.”
He laughed “It’s alright, I’m glad you found it funny and the fact you apologised shows you care, don’t worry about it.”
I frowned as he walked away “Trixie, who was that stallion glaring at us.”
She sighed “He’s the Sui Chef, he is the father of Snails. I turned his son into an old stallion during the incident with the amulet.”
I asked “Do you want to go someplace else?”
Trixie shook her head “No, I’m sure it will be fine. He would be crazy to try and hurt me here.” I sighed, I hope she’s right, ponies can just an unpredictable as me if not more so at times.
I asked “So what do you want to eat?”
Trixie skimmed the menu, she smiled “I’d like a Red Bean Curry. I’ve always had a taste for spicy food.”
I looked over the menu, I smiled “Oh a Beef Stew, perfect.” Trixie’s smile became strained.
I asked “What’s wrong?”
Trixie sighed “The idea of eating cows is a little of putting. I know a few cows and they were very friendly.”
I sighed “I’m sorry.”
She smiled “Don’t worry about it, I’ll get used to it. You’re an omnivore after all and you’re very fun to be around.”
Golden Goose returned he asked “Here is your water, may I take your orders.”
I smiled after taking a sip “I would like a Beef Stew and she would like a Red Bean Curry.”
He smiled “Thank you sir, your meal will be ready shortly.”
Trixie said “This place is very quiet, I mean we are the only ones here. How does this place stay in business.”
I smiled “These restaurants are actually been propping up and are often known as the churches of love.” I pointed to a statue of Princess Cadence in all her glory. I said “Ever since the coronation of Cadence, these place have been made. They are technically funded by the Princesses as places of worships.”
Trixie frowned “Why don’t Celestia and Luna have places like this?”
I frowned “They do, but both the Order of the Sun and the Order of the Moon are technically cults, they are known for murders and killings. What I have noticed is the Order of the Moon has vanished into the shadows and more recently has become a lot less aggressive.”
Trixie giggled “I wonder how Twilight will react to whatever crazy thing they do for her.”
I laughed “Yeah, it would be hilarious. I am so goings to tease her about it when it happens, ponies running around Equestria preaching friendship in her name.”
Trixie smiled “I might join you in on that, it sounds fun. Still we must know the limits, we aren’t exactly the most well liked.”
I sighed “Your right, still maybe once that starts to blow over we can be a little more loose.”
Trixie nodded “Maybe, we’ll see.”
Golden Goose had returned with our food. I noticed my food was cooked to perfection, I shoved my mouth into the food. I looked up to see Trixie slowly eating with a smile. Golden Goose smiled at us “I’m glad you enjoying your meal.”
I smiled “Well it’s quite good, thank you for…” I turned around to see Trixie coughing. I hasped as she vomited up blood onto the table, she then fell off the chair. I teleported over to her side, I shouted as I shook her “Trixie, Trixie please respond.” I could feel tears welling up in my eyes.
I turned to see Golden Goose sniffing the food, his eyes widened as he picked up what it was. He roared “DAMN IT!”
I cowered scared of the answer to my question “What is it?”
He said angrily “It’s the Tartarus damned blood flower. I’m sorry sir but you will need to arrange a funeral.”
I cried “No, no there’s gotta be a way to fix this.”
He shook his head as tear flew out of his face “There is no cure, it kills within minutes.”
I cried “I can’t let it end like this.” I put my claws on her chest, I poured my magic into her body as fast as I could. I begged “Come on please work, I refuse to be helpless.” I felt my reserves depleting it wasn’t working. No, my full power, the power I haven’t used since I sealed my sister away, the promise I made to myself to never use again, I will break for the only mare who understands the pain and the anguish. Still this time I will use the power to save not to hurt. I felt my full power surge through me into Trixie’s body, I smiled as the last of my power left my body. All I saw was her body rising into the air as the world turned dark.
I felt magic around me, I felt confused as I thought I was dying. It then burst in a flash, I opened my eyes and saw Discord lying there on the floor, I shouted as I shook him “Discord.”
A claw was on my shoulder, I turned around to see Golden Goose’s claw on my wither. He said “I don’t know much about magic but I’m guessing he used too much of his power to save you. It definitely changed your form.”
I frowned at that statement before I saw a bunch of ponies, griffins and minotaurs dragging a stallion in front of me. It was Snail’s father of course, I snarled “What the hell, you tried to kill me.”
He snarled back “You hurt my son, you evil spawn of Tartarus.You deserve this and more.”
I snarled “I know I did damn it, I have done a lot of things I’m not proud of. I didn’t originally come back here because I wanted to. I was starving and dying when I returned here, I hadn’t eaten anything more than grapes in ages. Then I return only for a mare to beat me up with dark magic. I have paid for mistakes, now I have to make up for them.”
I shook my head and sighed “I’m quite angry about what you did but I will let you go with a warning, I have done some terrible things with a far worse reason, my own ego. You are just being an overprotective father, just next time you want to perform something like this on somepony, don’t involve your professional life in you personal vendetta.” I said to Golden Goose “I have to go, I’m sorry. I’ll come back and pay later.”
Golden Goose said “Don’t worry about it, after this it’s free, after all you didn’t even finish you meals anyway.”
I levitated Discord onto my back and teleported us back home. I put on my former bed, I shook him gently “Discord, are you okay?” I sat there watching him lying there unmoving for the next 3 hours, I felt tears dripping from my eyes, why did this have to happen, this was supposed to be a nice romantic dinner. I finally had happiness but apparently trouble follows me around and ruins everything.
I felt something touch me, I open my eyes to see Discord smiling weakly at me. Discord said “You look different but it suits you.”
I cried “Discord, you alright.”
He sighed weakly “I gave you all of my power, I am surprised I’m not dead to be honest.”
I smiled “Thank you but don’t try sand give you life for mine again.”
He smirked “I can’t help it if I love you.”
I felt my face grow warm, and my heart racing in my chest. I gave him a light kiss “I love you too.”
He smiled at me and I laid next to him, he has been so much kinder than most stallions who just wanted to bed me. I sighed “I’m sorry for doing this to you.”
He frowned “Your the only one who has ever made me feel like this, you made my stone cold heart melt into goop.”
I frowned “Wait what do I look like now.”
He said “Summon a mirror, you have all of my power it should be easy, just will a mirror to be there.” I looked ahead and a mirror appeared, I gasped he really gave me his power. I stood up and stared at myself, my jaw dropped, I was easily the height of Princess Celestia, I was largely the same just bigger, my muscles were thick and strong, the most shocking feature was my mane, it flowed in a similar way to the Princesses but was pitch black, yet somehow it still shone.
I heard a loud knocking coming from the door. I said “I’ll get that, Dissy you should rest.”
Discord smiled at me “Very well, tell me who it is when you return.”
I nodded and teleported to the door, I opened the door and I gasped. I saw a Demon standing behind a creature that was half-Alicorn, half-Draconequus. The Aliconequus scowled “I’m looking for my son, Dissonance.” My eyes widened, this must be Melody.
The pair of us we sitting at the table, I frowned “Since I know the truth, do you mind telling me about yourself?”
Octavia frowned “Well I’m a Pride Demon the second largest type next to Wrath, I escaped Tartarus by shattering my own body about 100 years back, it’s taken that amount of time to get my full power back. I hung around because you were a fellow performer, I also enjoyed arguing with you as a pride demon, I got quite annoyed when you said your music was better than mine.”
I smiled “Yeah, still don’t hide it, you are no ordinary demon or else that weapon would have killed you, you are Lucifer’s daughter, the Princess of Pride you remind of him. I must admit I am surprised, very few powerful demons would dare lose any of their powers for any length of time, especially Pride Demons.”
Octavia frowned “It was the only way to get away from Asmodeus.”
I frowned “I hate that guy, he even tried tried get me a few times I visited your father.” I frowned more at her as she smiled wickedly “No, I’m not your mum.”
Octavia shook her head “Sorry, I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Anyway what about you?”
I smiled “Well I created this world from scratch, let’s just say I was at quite angry when they put Tartarus on it. I have two kids, Dissonance and Faust, although Dissonance calls himself Discord nowadays.”
Octavia blinked “Wait your the mother of the lord of chaos?’
I smiled “Yep, I mean Harmony isn’t just order you know, it is part chaos as well, why do you think I look like an Alicorn and Draconequus had a baby.”
Octavia smiled “I see, I’m surprised that you are a god, you are so carefree.”
I smiled “Well yeah I am.”
We then both frowned as we felt a huge surge of energy, Octavia screamed “What in Celestia’s name was that?”
I frowned “That was my son.” We then felt another surge of energy which reverberated through the air, “That was not my son, I’m going to Ponyville now.”
Octavia put her hoof on my wither “Not alone, your not, I’m coming with you and we will find out together.” I nodded as we assumed our pony forms and then I telported us to Ponyville. I glowed my horn to follow the trail of chaos like magic into the Everfree. We approached a strange dimensional hole, we jumped through to arrive in a weird space with a sign reading Chaovsille. I said “We can appear normal here.”
Octavia nodded “Very well.” We returned to our true forms and approached the central building, I knocked on the door.
After a few moments a strange mare opened the door, she gasped as she looked at us. I scowled “I’m looking for my son, Dissonance.” Her eyes widened and she let us in.
The mare smiled nervously “My name is Trixie.” I raised an eyebrow, I knew what this mare had done but she didn’t seem so bad.
I said “Trixie please inform me where my son is staying.”
She smiled “I’ll teleport you two there,” with a pop we were in a plain looking medical room.
Octavia shook her head “Where are we?”
I said “A medical room .”
A weak voice whispered “Mum, it’s good to see you.”
I saw my son’s pale skin and colour. I roared at Trixie “What did you do to him?!”
I felt a claw grip my shoulder weakly but with determination as he pointed to Trixie with his paw “I did this to myself to save her, she listened to me and cared for me even after all the evil I’ve wrought.”
I sighed as I turned to Trixie “I’m sorry, I was worried you hurt him.”
Trixie smiled “Don’t worry about it, you were doing what a mother does, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
I smiled “I’m glad your not bowing to me, I hate ponies doing that.”
Discord coughed weakly “She’s one of a kind.” I lowered my mismatched horn to his body as I let some of my chaos magic flow into his body, colour had returned to his body and he stood up.
I frowned “Lay off the magic for the next week and you will fine albeit you won’t be as powerful as you were before this incident for a century or two. Also you will need to stay in you bed with being disturbed for the next week as well, your body likely needs some time to recover from burning out so much power.”
Discord sighed “Yes mum, I’ll take that advice.”
Trixie smiled “I’ll take care of him.”
I asked “Why do you care about him anyway?”
Trixie smiled nervously “Um, I’m dating your son.”
I smiled wickedly at my son “Good, I have been waiting way too long for you to provide with grandchildren” I then turned to Trixie “I won’t do the whole mum speech, I can tell you would never betray him, there’s a beautiful harmony between you two.”
I smiled “Well we better be going.”
Discord smiled “It’s good to see you mum, thanks for approving of Trixie.”
I smiled “She’s a good mare.” Me and Octavia left the building, I frowned “Tavi, you were very quiet in there.”
Octavia smiled “I didn’t want to get involved, it was clearly a family matter.”
I smiled “Well I should thank you, anyway let’s take the train back, I’d like to relax a bit on the train.”
Octavia smiled “True and I wouldn’t mind one of a treat from Sugarcube Corner.” We reassumed our disguises and trotted through town, as we past by Twilight’s castle, I heard shouting. I shook my head, I shouldn’t get involved, I have meddled too much already. We continued on our trek to Sugarcube Corner.
I frowned as the girls walked in, Rarity frowned back “Are we here because of those two energy surges I felt yesterday?”
I nodded “Yes, we are to discuss what are we going to do with Discord, I’m am worried he’s up to no good again.”
Fluttershy said in her usual quiet tone “Um but isn’t he good now, I mean we reformed him. He’s trying really hard, he even saved Trixie.”
I frowned “That could be just a ruse to get us all to lower our guards besides Trixie is exactly the most trustworthy pony. I don’t think we should risk anything.”
Rarity frowned “I think that’s uncalled for, we have all done bad things. I mean my incident with Trixie wasn’t my first dance with the darkness.”
I said “That’s different.”
Rarity scowled “No it’s not, Twilight do I deserve to be treated like this. I am a monster too, Twilight between the Nightmare and this don’t I deserve the same treatment.”
I shouted “Trixie is an arrogant showboat and Discord has mocked us, in fact he still did prior to Tirek!” I blinked as Pinkie Pie frowned taking a scared Fluttershy out with Applejack and Rainbow following suit.
Rarity shouted “Look what you did!”
I roared “You were the one who got snappy!”
She roared even louder “Only because you don’t trust them, they deserve a second chance!”
I shouted “This is their third chance!”
Rarity shook her head as an illusion dropped, her eyes glowed green with purple trails behind them. I screamed at her appearance, Rarity sighed “I knew it, I guess this monster is leaving I’ll see you later Twilight.”
I sighed I’ll have to patch things up with her later but for now I need to get to the bottom of this. I fly into the Everfree forest and entered the gateway to Discord’s home Dimension.
I stared forward at Discord’s home, I trotted over and I knocked on the door. I gasped as I saw a huge mare, easily Celestia’s height, her muscles were visible through her fur, her mane flowed like Celestia’s but she was only a unicorn. The mare smiled “Twilight I’m surprised to see you here.”
I asked confused “Who are you and how do you know me?”
The mare frowned at me “Am I so unforgettable? I did use a dark amulet to chase you out of your home.”
I gasped “Trixie, how?”
Trixie frowned “Discord infused my body with his magic, all of it.”
I frowned I knew him he would never give up his power for anypony, she’s lying. I asked “Can I speak with him?”
Trixie said “Come inside and he’ll speak to you.”
I shook my head “No, Trixie I wish to speak with him here.”
Trixie frowned “He is bed ridden due to magic drain, he won’t see you.”
I shouted “Don’t lie to me Trixie, Discord would never give his magic to anypony and he has never suffered magic drain before.”
Trixie shouted “Why don’t you trust us?”
I frowned “Because Discord is a master of mind manipulation, he did to me and the girls the first time. I don’t trust him, he is too unpredictable.”
Trixie sighed “What can I do to get you to leave us alone?”
I said firmly “Nothing other me seeing Discord in front of me now.”
Trixie replied “No.”
I frowned “Fine.”
I tried to push past Trixie, she pushed me back with a hoof. She snarled “Fine, if your that eager, you and I will duel in Ponyville proper in one week.”
I shouted “No, that’s too long!”
Trixie glared at me coldly, but that’s not what scared me it was the malice in her voice ands the magic radiating off her, it was so powerful “If you lay a hoof on Discord, you will learn how Princess Luna felt for the last millennia.” She slammed the door on my face, I looked to realised a puddle at formed under my legs. I left the realm and then teleported back home to have a bath.
I was sowing the 5th dress that day, it usually keep my distracted from my thought but not today, the fact Twilight doesn’t listen to me is still bouncing around in my mind. I turned around at the sound of hoofsteps, Sombra was standing there unarmoured. He frowned “Princess Twilight has an announcement for everypony.”
I sighed today was going to be as long day. We trotted to the town hall to see Twilight standing there. She announced “I will be duelling Trixie Lulamoon in the centre of Ponyville in one week! If you have any questions bring that up with me at the castle.”
I frowned as Twilight teleported away, I said “Sombra, I need to speak with Twilight.”
Sombra smiled “I’ll come with you.”
I nodded and we galloped to Twilight’s Castle, Spike opened the door for us and asked “Twilight’s been non-stop practising magic since she returned.”
I frowned “This is really stupid, a duel with Trixie, this is going to end one of two ways, Twilight wins with ease or Trixie wins with ease.”
Sombra asked confused “How do you know?”
I replied “I did some research on how magic feels and it was closest to a magical transference, so Discord may have given Trixie his power.”
We entered the library to see Twilight practising all kinds of spells. I shouted “Twilight, we need to talk.”
Twilight stopped and asked “Are you going to tell me this is a bad idea?”
I frowned “It depends how powerful is Trixie?”
Twilight sighed “Much stronger than even Discord’s magic somehow, her power would make even Tirek look weak even after he absorbed all that power.”
I frowned “You can’t win this fight.”
Twilight nodded “I know but I’m a princess of Equestria I must ensure peace.”
I sighed “Look, we need to discuss this as a group. We argued last time remember and we made our friends leave with our arguing, we need to apologise to them and sort this mess out.”
Twilight sighed “Your right, this should be something we should discuss together.”
I frowned “Don’t think this fixes everything between us, you treated me like a monster. We are going to need some time to work things out.” I paused and turned around with a smile“Sombra what are you doing behind me, enjoying the view? Well then take me out to dinner sometime.”
I felt my smile widen as he sputtered “Wwww-hat …hhhh-how. ”
I laughed “You were completely silent for way too long.”
Twilight said “I understand but we need to gather our friends.”
The familiar voice of Rainbow Dash came from next to us “Do you really think your friends would leave you hanging Twilight?”
Our friends entered the room smiling, they said “We’re happy to help you.”
Twilight frowned “I am worried about Discord, this whole thing started because of him.”
Fluttershy shook her head as she took a deep breath “Twilight, I am friends with Discord and I trust him. Yes he has hurt us but I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.”
Rainbow said “I’m with Fluttershy, he is fun to be around helping with pranking.”
Pinkie smiled as she bounced “Yeah, we go together like ice-cream and hot sauce, ooh I have to try that.”
Applejack sighed “Me and Discord haven’t interacted enough for me to understand him but we do have an agreement to not mess with each other.”
I smiled “He makes Trixie happy and after all I’ve done to her, she deserves that.”
Sombra frowned “That’s not your fault.”
Rainbow Dash, Applejack jumped “When did he get here?!” Fluttershy just hid behind Rainbow Dash.
Sombra sighed “I’ve been here the whole time, hiding in the shadows.”
I facehooved “Sombra, why do you have to be creepy right now.”
Sombra smiled goofily “Um, bad habits.” I will have to stop him from doing that, he will give poor Fluttershy a heart attack, then again maybe I will too, I look different especially when I use my Nightmare Form or maybe the correct term wouldn’t be Remnant form after all the Nightmare is not longer part of me.
Twilight frowned “So you all trust Discord?’
I frowned “Have you spoken to Celestia or Luna about this.”
Twilight gasped “No, Spike send a letter.”
I facehooved “This is a big castle Twilight, he isn’t always going to be here.” Twilight teleported away. I said “I’m sorry girls for causing an argument.”
Applejack chuckled “I’m glad you did sugarcube, you do have quite a bit of guts.”
She then smiled wickedly “I was worried I’d have to show that Stallion a real strong mare.” My face lit up like a Christmas tree, She laughed “Just teasing.” Rainbow Dash was laughing on the floor like a maniac, Pinkie Pie grinned a me wildly and I saw Fluttershy suppressing a giggle.
I laughed “Fine, you got me but please can we drop it, poor Sombra here is really embarrassed.” I pointed to the bright red glow in the shadows.
Then with a pop an exhausted Twilight was there with Spike. Spike frowned “What’s going on I feel out of the loop.” After we explained everything, Spike was glaring at Twilight “Why didn’t you tell me, after I sent that letter I was told nothing about any of this. I can accept everypony else was busy but you and I live in the castle, I still sleep in your room, how did you forget about me huh? Also you are going up against a pony with the full power of Discord, are you kidding me?”
Twilight asked “Um can you send a letter to the Princesses.”
Spike frowned “I’d better, I can’t have you keeping things from them as well.” Twilight ignoring the comment already was busy writing a letter covering what happened since the last time they saw each other. She gave it to Spike who sent it to Celestia and Luna.
10 minutes later there was knock on the door, Twilight galloped over to reveal two concerned Alicorns and a third exhausted one, Luna was wearing full armour. Cadence frowned “Teleporting down to Ponyville probably wasn’t a good idea.” Celestia and Luna said “Twilight, we need to talk.” Twilight gulped as the 3 Alicorns entered the castle.
This is the reason I hate the Day Court, I sat there as Golden Horseshoe was complaining “Those of high class such as I shouldn’t pay 20% tax on our income.”
I said with a smile “Golden Horseshoe, the reason you pay these tax is to provide a reasonable way of life for all ponies. This tax is why in Equestria all ponies have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies.”
Golden Horseshoe said “But Princess….” In a burst of dragonflame caused a letter to appear, I levitated it into the air. It read:
Dear Princess Celestia
I can assure you that powerful surge of magic that happened earlier was no accident, it came from Discord. I’m worried he’s up to something and so I went to his home but Trixie who has been living with him didn’t let me in, I was instant and she challenged me to a magic duel, she also threatened to banish me to the moon should I try anything. I hope you can provide me some advice on what to do now.
From your former student Princess Twilight
I rubbed my forehead, this could be a national incident. I said as I looked to my personal assistant who had been so quiet nopony else noticed her presence “Raven, I need you to tell everypony that Day Court is closed.”
Raven frowned “I hope this is a serious matter, the nobleponies will complain if you are going on a personal holiday.”
I said stoically “No, tell them if they have a complaint we have a potential national incident on our hooves.”
Golden Horseshoe asked “What am I supposed to do?”
I said with a smile “Go home, I have to prevent a national incident.”
I headed to my sister’s room, the familiar symbol of the moon that was on her door. I knocked on the door loudly “Sister, we need to talk!”
I watched as the door opened revealing my sister, her astral mane drooped over her forehead. She grumbled “Sister, this better be important.”
I frowned “It is, we may have a Discord incident if we’re not careful.”
Luna frowned back “Does this have to do with those large energy surges from Ponyville?” I nodded at her.
Luna frowned “Give me a few minutes to get myself ready, in the meantime you should tell Cadence.” I nodded and entered her room grabbing a quill and parchment
Dear Cadence
We have a matter of National Security involving Discord, me and Luna are going to meet Twilight in Ponyville, I hope you do as well.
From Princess Celestia
I created a burst of flame of my own sending it to Cadence. After I wrote the letter, Luna trotted out her mane done properly, she was also wearing a suit of armour with a sword at her side. I frowned “We’re not going to war, Luna.”
Luna sighed “I know but with Discord anything is possible.”
I nodded “True but we should make haste. A quick teleport shouldn’t be too hard.” We both glowed our horns and with a pop we were outside Twilight’s castle. We saw a pink pop appear in the town square a few minutes later a ragged and exhausted Cadence ran up to us. Luna and I knocked on the door, we watched as Twilight opened the door nervously.
Cadence frowned “Teleporting to Ponyville probably wasn’t a good idea.”
Me and Luna said in unison “Twilight, we need to talk.” We watched as she gulped and we all entered the castle.
I saw the other 5 elements sitting there around the table, I also saw a shadow in the corner. I thought (So Sombra’s here, let’s hope he doesn’t become additional trouble.) We all took seats around the table.
I said “This is a Princess meeting could you please leave us?”
Sombra materialised and said “This is serious, we need to go. The Princesses need to be alone when these meetings happen.”
Spike said “Well I’m going to clean up the castle again.”
As soon as he left I frowned “Twilight, you may have caused a national incident.”
Twilight shouted “But Discord and Trixie could be planning something.”
I sighed “Yes but now they know we know, the best laid plans are made by catching your opponents off guard. You should have come to me with your suspicions.”
Cadence frowned “I don’t know why you suspect he is bad?”
Twilight frowned “She wouldn't let him out to speak with me said he was suffering from power drain. As if he and then she told me this ridiculous story about him giving her all his power.”
Cadence said to Twilight “I can easily see him doing that, if her life was at risk.”
I asked “Why?”
Cadence smiled “He came to me in the Crystal Empire.”
I grinned “Oh, that’s why? He’s never gonna live this down.”
Luna smiled “I agree dear sister.”
Twilight blinked “What’s going on, why are you all joking about this?”
Cadence sighed “Twilight he came to me for romantic advice.”
Twilight asked “So?”
Cadence facehooved “Who has he met in the last few days that has been close to him.”
Twilight eyes widened “But that’s too little time.”
Cadence sighed “Ponies are full of love Twilight, I’ve met ponies who have fallen head over hooves in weeks and have been married for years, heck some of them are already married within the month, Discord and Trixie are going slow. I mean your friendship with your friends was so strong that after one day it was powerful enough to use the Elements of Harmony.”
Twilight asked “But what about the duel?”
I sighed “Twilight as Princess this is something you will need to handle, we will be there to keep you safe though.” Twilight gulped as we left.
Cadence frowned “I wish we could help.”
I sighed “This is her fight, plus she has a lot to learn and this is an important lesson.”
Cadence nodded “I know, still I wasn’t expecting him to pick her, another change in my shipping room.”
I raised an eyebrow “Shipping room?”
Cadence smiled “Um, yeah I gotta to go.” She dissapeared with a pink pop.
I looked at Luna, she asked “Are we going after her?”
I smiled “Of course, we need to catch little miss matchmaker before she pairs us up with somepony.”
I arrived in the throne room of the Crystal Empire with a pop. Shining Armour asked worried “Why are you back so soon Cadence?”
I asked puffing “Are Celestia and Luna here yet? ”
He frowned “No.”
I smiled “Good, now I need to got to get to work before they get here.” I galloped to me and Shining's room.
I smiled as I entered, I glowed my horn and a wall came down revealing The Shipping Room. The room was pink like me and had both couples as well as single ponies on there along with potential matches. I put Trixie next to Discord and removed Discord from multiple boards. I was staring at Celestia’s board, I glared at it due to the fact I only had Twilight’s Picture on the board.
There had to be somepony else I was not ready for that eventuality, Discord was the only other one who I thought could match her… unless, I stared down at a picture of an old enemy of mine. I sighed very well Chrysalis you have forced my hoof it seems, I slammed her on the board. I felt Celestia and Luna arrive.
I cast a shrinking spell on all my boards and put in a suitcase in the corner, I then grabbed the suitcase in my hooves. Looks like I have to go for emergency escape plan A, I pressed a button that sent me to the top of the castle, I disguised myself as a green pegasi with a suitcase for a cutie mark and glided down from the castle. I then galloped to the train station, I ask the stallion at the ticket booth “Can I have one ticket to Appleloosa?”
He smiled “20 bits for a transfer ticket, you will have to leave at Ponyville and change trains.”
I smiled as I levitated 20 bits out of the suitcase, I smiled “I wish you a good day sir.” I took a deep breath finally something is going right, still this is the easy part getting her to be in on it, it will take some convincing. I sighed as I watched the Crystal Empire vanish from my sight, is this right me abandoning my kingdom and my husband for this small thing. I scowled (No, I am the Princess of Love. This is part of my duties, I just hope Shining can manage without me.)
I woke to the call of the conductor calling out that we had arrived at Ponyville. I immediately bolted out with my suitcase. It was about another hour, Twilight’s probably panicking at my disappearance and I’m right here, I sighed the things I do for my job.
I got on a much more rustic and old looking train, it did fit into the style of what Twilight old me about Appleloosa, I smiled as I watched mountains and forest pass the train. I got off the train and looked around the rustic town, a stallion walked up to me “How ya going pretty mare?”
I smiled “I’m happily married, thanks.”
He said “Sorry Ah didn’t mean for that to be the implication, mah name is Braeburn.”
I smiled as I shifted to my normal from much to his shock “Princess Cadence or just Cadence to my friends.”
He bowed “Princess what may Ah do for ya?”
I smiled “Please call me Cadence and can you point in the way of the Badlands?”
He frowned “Their down south, why?”
I frowned “I have to see an old friend.” I sighed as I flew out in the direction of Badlands, I felt the sweat and aches building up in my wings.
I landed after 3 hours of flight, I was on the edge of the Badlands. A Changeling landed in front of me “He snarled “What do you want?”
I smiled “I have a business proposition for your hive, I need to speak with you Queen.” He nodded as several heavily armed Changelings escorted me into the hive.
Queen Chrysalis grinned “You have a proposition for me Princess Cadence.”
I grinned back “I have something that may be beneficial to you, you see we are both in the business of love, I was hoping you could help me get loving couples together at every step of the road and you can passively take the love they emit. I even have all the plans for ponies so far, I got all of my couples save one out of there and had them placed.”
Chrysalis grinned “Interesting proposition, I’ll allow you to stay here while I consider it.”
I smiled as I remembered Auntie’s schedule and then pulled out a piece of paper. I put my signature on it “This should allow you in to one of the most prodigious shows in Equestria, trust me it will be worth your while.”
Chrysalis nodded “I might do that, it sounds like a nice change of pace.” I smiled as I was escorted to a room, all my plan were falling into place. Finding Auntie a marefriends and securing an alliance with changelings while also finding a way to increase the amount of love in Equestria, Cadence you are a genius.
I smiled as I tended to my animals. I have honesty been hoping to visit Discord, things have been quite messy around here since Trixie turned up not. Oh not to say I have anything against Trixie but things have gotten more complicated. I heard a knock on my door, I smiled “Hi Rarity.”
Rarity smiled back “Hi Fluttershy, I was hoping to see Trixie and since Discord is inconvenienced, you may want to see him.”
I smiled “It just feels like so long even though it hasn’t been more than a week.”
Rarity frowned “Just remember you don’t want to get to touchy feely with him, Trixie has a place in his heart now.”
I nodded with a smile and we trotted towards the entrance to his dimension in the Everfree. We entered and trotted over to his home, Rarity knocked on the door. I cowered as I saw a huge mare open the door, the mare smiled “Hi Rarity.”
Rarity replied as she gave her a light hug “Hi Trixie.” I gasped Trixie was really large, I trembled in front of her.
Trixie smiled “Don’t be scared I won’t hurt you.” I hid behind Rarity as Trixie approached.
Rarity sighed “Maybe we should let Fluttershy go in on her own, she’ll find her way around.”
Trixie smiled “I have an idea, a new spell I’ve been practising for the duel, but it still isn’t quite perfected yet.” I watched as horn glowed and a small copy of her old self stood there in front of me. Trixie said “I can hear anything you say through this copy and take control of it if you need me there.” I waited until Rarity and Trixie left before following the doppelganger Trixie made.
I followed it up to a room that a medical sign on it. I opened to see Discord lying on the bed. Discord smiled “It's good to see you Fluttershy.”
I asked “What happened to you, why are you like this?”
Discord smiled “Love happened, something I had always thought to be impossible. I had found something worth more than power, somepony who understands me who can see me from where I stand even in my darkest days.”
I asked “Are you still going to visit me?”
Discord frowned “Of course I will, you were my first friend. You gave me a chance and I have betrayed that trust twice now, yet you still came. You are my closest friend”
I felt my eyes watering “Thank you Discord.”
Discord gave me a light hug “Your welcome my friend but we will have to set up some boundaries, I may if I’m lucky be a married Draconequus at some point” he smiled “I never thought I’d say that.”
I smiled “Neither did I, I’m sorry about Twilight.”
Discord frowned “Twilight?”
I sighed “They are going to have a magic duel in Ponyville.”
Discord said “She didn’t tell me about it.”
I smiled “Trixie will be fine.”
Discord shook his head “I have no doubt about that, I’m worried about Twilight actually. Trixie is very powerful now as she has my power but has had very little time to practise, she may hurt Twilight in this duel.”
I gasped “We gotta tell Twilight, she’s going to get hurt.”
Discord sighed “That would be a problem, Twilight can be a determined individual and I have no doubt Rarity probably tried to stop her before judging by how she and Trixie have been interacting lately. All we can do is wait and hope Twilight will back down.”
I cried “But what if Twilight get killed!”
Discord frowned “I trust Rarity will stop it before it got that far, I can feel the darkness oozing out of her, she has quite a bit of power.” I gasped I didn’t know she had that much power. Discord smiled “Don’t worry she won’t hurt anypony, she is in control.”
I smiled “Thank you Discord.”
I watched as Rarity entered the room, she said “I’m going back home, I have a lot to do.”
I nodded “I need get back to my animals, Angel Bunny in particular.” Rarity frowned as the pair of us returned to Ponyville.
Chapter 20: Rarity's and Fluttershy's visit part 2
I was busy sowing madly. I felt Sombra’s gaze on my back. I frowned “Sombra, why are you staring at me?” I smiled “Is it because you like my flank?”
I loved teasing him but after spluttering for a few moments he sighed “You are stressed out and I think you need to rest.”
I sighed “It’s because of Twilight and Trixie, I’m worried about both of them.”
Sombra frowned “I think you need to discuss this with Trixie a little more deeply.”
I said sighed “Maybe you’re right. “ It thought for moment before realising “Sweet Celestia I’ve forgotten about Fluttershy, Discord and her are quite close.”
Sombra grinned “Maybe you two should go and visit together.”
I smiled widely “That’s a great idea.” I gave him a kiss on the cheek as thanks. I believe that will leave him sufficiently flustered.
I trotted towards Fluttershy’s home with a smile, I knocked on the door. I smiled as Fluttershy opened the door smiling and said “Hi Rarity.”
I smiled back “Hi Fluttershy, I was hoping to see Trixie and since Discord is inconvenienced, you may want to see him.”
She smiled “It just feels like so long even though it hasn’t been more than a week.”
I knew that she could cause trouble if she got to touchy feely with Discord, I frowned “Just remember you don’t want to get to touchy feely with him, Trixie has a place in his heart now.”
Fluttershy nodded and we trotted to the portal to Discord’s home in the Everfree. After we entered we trotted to Discord’s home, I knocked on the door. I smiled as I saw Trixie standing there, she smiled at me “Hi Rarity.”
I gave Trixie a hug “Hi Trixie.”
I turned around to see Fluttershy trembling. Trixie smiled “I won’t hurt you.” Fluttershy hid behind my back at her approach.
I sighed “Maybe we should let Fluttershy go in on her own, she’ll find her way around.”
Trixie smiled “I have an idea, a new spell I’ve been practising for the duel, but it still isn’t quite perfected yet.” I watched as she created a copy of her old self to guide Fluttershy. Trixie said to Fluttershy “I can hear anything you say through this copy and take control of it if you need me there.”
Me and Trixie left to talk alone. We arrived in a a library, I asked “What was that spell?”
Trixie frowned “An ancient cloning spell, it’s one of many spells of I’ve been testing so I can have an edge on Twilight, I may have more power but her knowledge is unrivalled. I have been accessing some spells that have been created during Discord’s earliest days but before both Princesses were born, powerful spells created but the god themselves, Cataclysm and Inferno are both listed here, still I have been practising more Altrusic spells.”
I frowned “What do you mean Altrusic?”
Trixie said “Spells that have more unique effects. Like a spell that can cause marshmallows pop out of thin air or a spell that creates trees.”
I asked “Um maybe we could avoid all this fighting, please Trixie try to stop this?”
Trixie sighed “Where does Twilight stand on this matter, I would be more than happy to try but you need to convince her.”
Rarity sighed “She can be more stubborn than Applejack sometimes honestly, even if she’s right she can go way too far and nopony can stop her. I mean she was right at the wedding but she went about it the wrong way. I mean we didn’t agree with her because we thought it was pre-wedding jitters but still she didn’t at least try to consider our point of view.”
Trixie frowned “Well then nothing can be done. I will not back if she won’t.”
I sighed “Your both so stubborn.”
Trixie said “If it was you and Sombra in my position you would do the same.”
I gasped “What?”
Trixie rolled her eyes “It isn’t that hard to notice, he lives with you and you flirt with him constantly.”
I scowled “How do you know that?”
Trixie smiled “Discord has ears all over the town, he knows everything going in town and now because I have his magic I hear them too. I saw Sombra in your dreams doing things too you. Damn it you know how uncomfortable it is to see that.”
I felt like a school-filly who had stolen a cookie from the cookie jar and got caught. “It’s not my fault.”
Trixie laughed “I know, I’m just messing with you but seriously go out and do something nice together.”
I sighed “Alright, we’ll try something but only after all this mess blows over, I’m too stressed for dating right now.”
Trixie smiled “Fair enough, I would love to continue chatting but I must get myself ready for me and Twilight’s duel.”
I sighed “I understand just please don’t hurt her.”
Trixie frowned “I will try my best but you know it may the only way to get her to stop.” I nodded and we met up with Fluttershy who was smiling, I said “I got to go home, I have a lot of work to do.”
Fluttershy said “I need get back to my animals, Angel Bunny in particular.” I had a frown on my face all the way back to Ponyville, I was so angry that I couldn't resolve this peacefully
I scowled today was the day of the duel, I just hoped I was ready. Trixie has to be quite strong to think of beating me, even from my short meeting with her I could tell she had dropped all of her ego, she wasn’t bluffing with that threat she gave me. I looked up to see my friends sitting there as I trotted towards Ponyville proper, I saw Trixie standing there, she frowned at me.
I looked up to see Celestia and Luna standing there watching, the look on their face was cold and calculating as if they were planning around this events I turned around to see my friends sitting there. I then saw Sombra speaking to Discord he stared at me with a worried glance, I then turned back to Trixie who asked “So what type of duel do you want this to be?”
I knew Trixie had a lot of power but in an old school duel my wings and Earth Pony strength but will give an edge. I smiled “An old school duel you and me, right here right now.”
Trixie sighed “Fine but be warned there are no rules to this, you could get hurt.” I grinned as I trotted to the other side of a circle.”
Celestia said “Due to the danger of this duel, we will create a planetary interdimensional duel arena, we can’t risk Ponyville in this duel.” I nodded to the Princes, she and Luna cast a spell, which caused me and Trixie where on a pale white stage, I could see everypony watching intently. I flew into the air and let out a barrage of simple beams at Trixie, I blinked only to see nothing, I didn’t use that much power.
I felt a hoof slam into my back, I grunted to see Trixie floating behind me drinking a glass of Chocolate Milk, as in she drank the glass and chucked the milk away with a chuckle. She laughed “Now I understand why Discord loves doing that, the look on you face is priceless.” I pushed my jaw into position. She frowned “Seriously you thought you had the flight advantage come on Twilight, you should know I would have prepared for that.”
I snarled “I didn’t know your ego had room for planning.”
Trixie laughed “Trying to make me mad and lose control right, yeah not going to happen.” She kicked me into the floor I grimaced. Trixie sighed “Give up Twilight, I don’t want to hurt you.”
I scowled (she thought I as weakling, I will show her.) I began formula for one of my strongest attack spells. I was going to end this, Fire Shine the queen of fire spells, said to match the flames of the sun. Trixie raised an eyebrow “What are you planning?”
I grinned “This.” I teleported next to her and summoned the giant fireball slamming it into her side. It pushed me backwards, I could feel the burns on my skin (Note to self never cast a big spell that close to myself again.)
I gasped as I saw Trixie floating there undamaged, nopony other than Celestia, Luna or … Discord (Shit, she does have his magic.)
Trixie frowned “So you finally caught on, good we can end this charade and settle this without bloodshed.”
I snarled “No, I don’t trust you or Discord. He could be manipulating all of us.”
Trixie shouted “I love him dammit, he understands me and I understand him! There is northing you can do to change my mind, so just stop before you get hurt!”
I shouted back “Never.”
Trixie begged “Please Twilight, I promised I avoid hurting you if I could. Don’t make me do this, I don’t want to hurt you Twilight.”
I shouted “Just because you’ve got power now you think you can talk down to me like a foal!” I threw 3 balls of fire at her which she simply summoned a shield to block.
Trixie frowned “How can I get you to stop?”
I scowled “When I beat you!”
Trixie raised a hoof “Fine I’ll yi…”
I fired a blast at her “What I meant was until I beat you not you give up!”
Trixie shouted “You want me to face you full on do you?! Well fine, I will show just how capable I am!” I charged up a beam only for a hoof to collide with my chest, I heard the sound of something breaking, my magic dissipated as I screamed in pain. Then I felt a massive blow to my back send me to the ground.
I looked up to see Trixie standing in front of me, I tried to stand but I grimaced and looked to see one of my fronts legs was broken. Trixie scowled “I didn’t want to do this Twilight. You being an Alicorn made this harder, cuts and scrapes heal to quickly for you, broken bones on the other hoof don’t. I can say your ribs are broken as well as several vertebrae plus at least your front hooves. It's over Twilight.”
I scowled “I won’t give up.”
A voice said “Well you should.” I turned to see Rarity glaring at me “I asked Trixie not to hurt you and she promised to avoid it if she could but you had to push her.”
I said “But what if…”
Rarity shouted “NO EXCUSES TWILIGHT, APPPLEJACK CAN BE STUBBORN SOMETIMES BUT WHEN YOU THINK YOUR RIGHT YOU TAKE THE CAKE! WE ALL HAVE A LITTLE DARKNESS WITHIN US BUT TRUE STRENGTH CAN COME FROM MASTERING THAT SHADOW.”
Rarity then smirked “After all I have fallen to the shadows before and now I am here standing strong.” I watched as many ponies watched her, then a shadows engulfed her for a second and then almost everypony gasped in horror. I gasped “Nightmare.”
Rarity scowled “No, the Nightmare is gone but every shadow leaves a trace, a remnant of it’s power and I simply taping into that power. I have no where near the same power then Nightmare did at least not yet.”
Rainbow Dash shouted “Wait that is how you pranked me isn’t it. I didn’t appreciate a green and red mane.”
Rarity turned to me ignoring the comment “Enough of this Twilight, yield before you get hurt!”
I said “No, I need to do this.”
Rarity shook her head “I don’t want to do this but I guess I have no choice.Trixie you ready for this.” I watched as Trixie stepped off me and smiled, I watched as she summoned a microphone (They’re not going to …) I turned around to see Rarity holding a microphone (they are).

The lord of chaos betrayed by those who called him friend, the masters of order condemned him and then sealed him away leaving him in torment. Well no longer for he stands but he is no longer alone, I stand with him in chaos.

I felt something stirring within me I said “Fine, I’ll yield.” I mumbled “Damn music, it always works.”
Trixie chuckled “I must admit that was unexpected.” Celestia and Luna teleported us back and dispelled the dimension.
I frowned as I flew over to then as I couldn't trot with my legs broken, I gritted my teeth and cast a pain numbing spell,
Celestia said “I think you and Trixie need to spend some time with each other, it will help you get over some issues.”
I nodded with a forced smile I was going hate this “Yes Celestia.” I noticed Luna rolling her eyes but I didn’t say anything.
I frowned as Trixie said “I’ll do my best.” She trotted over to Discord and began talking to him.
I flew over to Rarity and the rest of the girls, I growled “We need to talk, Rarity bring Sombra with you! I expect the rest of your there as well.” I flew back to the castle for some rest.
I was very worried, Twilight was exactly happy after me and Trixie’s little song routine. Not to mention she totally forgot about her injuries. We were all sitting on our chairs staring at Twilight’s chair.
Twilight scowled as she trotted in, I noticed her horn was smoking. I frowned, she must have done some very intensive healing spells. Twilight scowled “Why did you do that, music is one of the most powerful of magic and used it against me!”
I shouted “I was trying to keep you safe!”
Twilight shouted “I would have been fine!”
I sighed “Do you know how dangerous Trixie is? Your lucky she was only using muscle, if she cast a spell she could have killed you by accident because she can’t control her power with some training and she knew that.”
Twilight scowled ”I could take it.”
Applejack said “Ah was watching you know, you couldn’t have. She was toying with you half of the time.”
Twilight gasped “Not you too?”
Applejack sighed “Listen, Twilight you’re my friend, so let me ask you this could you beat Discord in a fight.”
Twilight said “No.”
Applejack said “Well she was easily at his level.”
Twilight sighed “Yes but what was I supposed to do?”
I said “Yield gracefully, you should not have be forced to yield when you are losing.”
Twilight gasped “What, I have a duty as a princess and that is too protect Equestria, I was doing that.”
I watched as a shadow spoke “No you weren't, you were letting your ego drive you actions and made you believe you were important.” I watched as Sombra descended he continued “You let your own self-importance get in the way, arrogance is a poor thing in a leader. I lost to the Princesses because I believe I was superior when I had no idea of what I was suggesting.
Twilight scowled “Are you all here to point out my flaws and insult me.” I saw Pinkie Pier’s mane flatten.
Rainbow Dash shouted “Twilight this isn’t like you. Why are you so angry?”
Twilight roared “Because I want us too be safe, we have been too close to losing way too many times. I want to pre-empt the next enemy and all of you wish to turn on me.”
I watched as Twilight froze “You are unwilling to accept you mistakes Twilight and are blaming us, why?” I watched as Fluttershy trotted forward staring into Twilight’s eyes “Twilight you must stop, you are going too far now Twilight.”
Twilight roared “NO!”
We all gasped as she swung out knocking Fluttershy towards us. Twilight’s eyes widened as she realised what she had done “What have I done, I’m a monster.”
I looked to see the Applejack and Rainbow glaring at her with Pinkie Pie hugging Fluttershy. I trotted forward and pulled Twilight into a hug. Twilight looked up with tears in her eyes “Why?”
I smiled “We’re friends Twilight, we can harsh and sometimes a little blunt but deep down we care for you. Just let it all out.” I smiled warmly as Twilight cried into my coat.
Applejack asked “Um, Rarity why did you take that from?”
I sighed “It’s part of me Applejack, I can’t get rid of it. I am a creature of darkness now but I will only use my power to protect others.”
Rainbow Dash smirked “And pranking ponies.”
I smirked “Well both you and that pompous Prince could use some pranking.”
Fluttershy groaned “What happened?”
Twilight removed herself from my embrace and galloped towards Fluttershy, she begged “Please forgive me, I just lost control.”
Fluttershy smiled as she remembered “I forgive you Twilight, it was an accident.”
Pinkie shouted her mane returning to it’s normal poof as she dragged all 6 of us into a hug “GROUP HUG!”
I heard a cough and smiled as I dragged a shadow into the hug “You thought you could avoid the hug? I think not.” I smiled as we had started to iron out some the issues, still things would get difficult from here.
Sombra grumbled as he fiddled with his bow tie “I don’t get it Rarity, why are these foolish things worn?”
I giggled as he fumbled with his suit, I was wearing my favourite purple dress, it covered just enough of my flank to be modest while still being sexy. He finally got his bow tie on, I smiled bumping him with my flank as we left. Sombra asked “Where are we going?”
I smiled “The Lover’s Nest.”
Sombra asked “Isn’t that the place that sparked the whole incident.”
I frowned “It was caused by an employee who had a grudge against Trixie. But tonight is not the time to worry about thing like that, let’s have some fun.”
We arrived at the restaurant, a Griffin said “Ah Miss Rarity, come this way.” I smiled and nodded we followed him to a small table.
A golden griffin approached us, he introduced himself “I’m Golden Goose the owner of this establishment.”
I smiled “My friend Trixie came here and I thought I’d check out the place for a first date.”
He sighed “I’m glad you came , this place’s business has been at an all time low since the incident, we have not had one customer in the last week.”
Sombra smiled “Well we’re glad to be here, I feel that she has been a little to flirty with me for us not to try this.”
I smiled “I know you like it, after all it makes you blush like a schoolfilly.” I laughed as Sombra’s cheeks lit up “Just like that.”
Sombra asked nervously “Um can we order our food?”
Golden Goose smiled “Of course.”
Sombra said “I’d like a fire braised Pork.”
I asked “May I have a simple cheese salad?”
Golden Goose smiled “You orders will be ready in 20 minutes.”
I raised an eyebrow at Sombra “Why did you order a meat dish?”
Sombra responded “I developed a taste for meet over my years in the empire after all I had to deal with Diplomats and their gifts of exotic foods. I got quite a few meat dishes.”
I smiled “I see, that makes sense.”
Sombra asked “How has work been?”
I grimaced “I’m behind still, all this stuff going on has put me behind. I probably will have to spend the next few night working to get everything done on time.”
Sombra sighed “Sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up.”
I put a hoof on his shoulder “I’m glad that you are concerned about my work, I will get it done.”
Sombra smiled “Thanks.”
I smiled back “Anything for you Sombra, you have helped me so much.”
Sombra sighed “I did what I had too, I’m not a good stallion Rarity.”
I slapped him “You helped me didn’t you, you protected an innocent mare from my hooves! You have changed for the better, so don’t talk yourself down.”
Sombra sighed “Do you know why I turned to the darkness?” I shook my head, He said “I was a bold stallion gifted in magic and extremely powerful, in my hubris I believed I was more deserving than anypony else. I studied dark magic for years until I became so capable I twisted my form to attain immortality and then took over the Crystal Empire. Then I challenged Celestia and Luna to a duel to prove who was better but I lost and well you know the rest.”
I frowned “Yeah but that’s it’s time to move froward the past is not there to chain you down but to launch you into the future.”
I heard the clatter of plates on the table I turned around to see Golden Goose smiling “Here is you food, don’t mind me you were having a heartfelt moment and I didn't want to interrupt.”
A voice boomed outside “TRIXIE GET BACK HERE!” I turned around to see Trixie sticking her tongue out before disappearing. Then I saw an angry green mare with a bright teal mane, then I noticed the wings and the horn.
I sighed “Twilight of course.”
Sombra chuckled “Well at least we have entertainment.”
I giggled “Yeah, Trixie is really picking up some of Discord’s tendencies.” I blinked “Is it raining Gummy Bears?”
Sombra frowned “It is, urghh we may have to stay for a while after eating.”
Golden Goose smiled “Don’t worry about it, we have suites in the building for couples, it is free with any meal.”
I smiled “Thanks for the offer, I don’t think I could handle the crazy out there.”
Golden Goose laughed “Neither could I.”Me and Sombra quickly finished eating before being guided to a room, it was brilliant red with a beautiful blue bed with a white mattress on it. I was stunned, Golden Goose grinned “Welcome to one of our love rooms, there’s champagne in the fridge over there if you want to do it in here.”
I turned around to see a light blue fridge, I grinned as I waved a bottle of wine in his face “Looks like we’re going to have fun tonight.” Let’s just say we made quite a bit of noise that night.
I groaned as I woke up late in the day with an uncomfortable itch that I couldn’t scratch. Discord walked over to me “What’s wrong?”
I groaned “I can feel something withing in me, it’s itching to get out.”
Discord frowned “You magic is demanding you cause some chaos, why do you think I cause chaos, it’s fun but the main reason is it satiates the itch. You need to cause some chaos, go annoy Twilight for a bit, I assume you’ll enjoy that. If you don’t satiate the itch it will drive you insane.”
I smiled “Okay, I’ll go to Twilight’s.” I teleported away and I arrived in Twilight’s Castle Library.
I saw Twilight reading books, I grinned as I waved a hoof and all the books began to sing and dance. Twilight glared at me“Trixie what the hell are you doing?”
I laughed “Letting off some steam, that’s all.”
Twilight angrily stomped out of the room, I waved my hoof and I heard Twilight scream “Trixie!”
I then teleported out of the castle, I turned around to see Twilight fly after me with hot sauce coating her mane, I smiled as Twilight roared “I’m going to kill you Trixie!”
Twilight fired a huge blast of magic which I easily dodged, I waved her hoof and made the hot sauce disappeared. Twilight scowled “What did you do now?”
I held a mirror in front of her face, I burst into laughter as she screamed “My mane and coat!” I couldn’t help it I made her coat green and her mane a bright teal. I watched as I flew away, I heard her voice boom behind me “TRIXIE GET BACK HERE!”
I stuck my tongue out “In your dreams Twilight.” I smiled as I waved a hoof and gummy bears began falling from the skies. I burst into laughter as I flew away leaving Twilight to deal with the gummy bears.
I wondered who else was in need of a good pranking, hmm I know Celestia that will be fun. I smiled as I stood on the roof of the Canterlot throne room listening on Celestia. She was frowning as she read a scroll I grinned “Hello Celestia.”
Celestia looked up at me “Are you here to mess with me as you did my student?”
I grinned “Of course, it’s time to put on a show for Canterlot.” I waved my hoof with a mad grin, the sound of music began playing. I opened the door and the entire Royal Guard was dancing through the streets with Luna behind them singing uncontrollably

I grinned as Celestia’s eye twitched, she roared “I will destroy you!” I teleported out of the Castle and I flew away grinning knowing Celestia was chasing me. I turned around and started pulling silly faces at her. I was just about do something funny to her when I bumped into something I turned around to see Discord scowling at me. He shouted “Trixie, what do think your doing?”
Celestia scowled “Something you put her up to.”
Discord frowned “No, I told her to annoy Twilight. I assumed she wouldn’t do something this stupid, looks like I was wrong.” I watched as he clicked his claws and saw that the dancing and music stopped. He glared at me “You are acting like the old me, you have no restraint or control.”
I whimpered “But you told me to cause chaos.”
Discord sighed “Look, as reformed villain we have rules we must abide by and that means controlling ourselves. We can’t just go changing the world to out liking.”
He then turned to me, I saw a tear in his eyes “I love you Trixie and I can’t bare to lose you, you understand me. I don’t now what I’d do if you were sealed in stone for 1000 years.”
I cried as I realised what I had done, I felt him wrap his arms around me “I’m so sorry.” I heard Celestia say something to Discord but I couldn’t make it out.
Discord frowned “I am going to give you some serious lessons on our place in the world.” I heard him click his claws and we sitting back in the castle, he frowned “Get some sleep we are going to have a busy day tommorow.” I dried my tears and fell into a restless sleep.
I felt a presence in the dreamscape, I frowned it was Luna. She was interfering with Trixie's dream, I teleported into Trixie's dream and I scowled as I saw Luna manipulating the dream. Trixie was screaming horror as her body turned to stone. I clicked my fingers breaking the effect completely. I growled “Luna that is an abuse of your powers.”
Luna growled back “Discord, you shouldn’t have given her your powers she is clearly ignorant, her suffering is because of you.”
I slammed my fist into gut “Did you just tell me she should have died, I love her, what part of that don’t you understand?”
Luna collapsed in front of me “You really care for her don’t you?”
I growled “You think I didn’t?!”
Luna grimaced as she stood up “You always was a silly sort, you behaved weirdly and acted incredibly strangely whenever I saw you. I didn’t believe there is a serious bone in your body but I’ve never seen you this angry at anypony.”
I snarled “If your not gone in 10 seconds, you will learn the full extent of my fury!” Luna bolted out of the dream before I even started counting. I smiled as I gave her a light kiss “See you in the morning my love.” I vanished from the dream to get some sleep.
I awoke the next morning and made some pancakes. I sighed as Trixie entered the room, she was looking away. I frowned “Trixie, I was probably too harsh on you yesterday, you made a mistake but I was so scared. You are the best thing that has happened to me in my life, I don’t want to lose you.”
Trixie began to cry “I’m so sorry.”
I teleported over and gave her a light hug “I shouldn’t have sent you out there until we discussed this, I will make sure you understand how to control your power.” I wiped the tears off her face and said “I think we should get started.”
Trixie smiled “Yes let’s.”
I clicked his claws, I was dressed up in a white button up shirt and pants, I smiled at Trixie who was wearing a blue school blazer with tie. I said “The first lesson in chaos is ready to begin.”
I clicked my fingers and suddenly countless strands connected to every object including me and Trixie, I said “These are the strings that bind reality, Chaos beings like us can pull these strand subconsciously when we use our magic. The true skill while not often used is when you consciously manipulate the strings, it usually take longer but when you wish to craft something much more precisely you do it this way.”
I saw Trixie’s hoof shot up and I pointed to her “Yes Miss Lulamoon.”
Trixie asked “Mr Discord sir, I’m unsure of how to do it with hooves.”
I nodded “Yes you lack of multiple digits does make things more difficult. Still we’ll manage I think you should come down here and we’ll figure this out.”
Trixie trotted down and she looked at the string in front of her, she asked “What does this string do?”
I frowned “Don’t touch it will obliterate your body if you mess with it. Such strings are very temperamental I click my claws for those. Now pull on this string.” I put a string in front of her, she carefully grabbed it with both hooves and tugged lightly.
The sound of a bookshelf exploding behind her caused her to shudder. Trixie cowered in front of me so I smiled at Trixie to alleviate her fears“That is the best result I could have hoped for.”
Trixie raised an eyebrow “What do you mean?”
I grinned “Well you caused something to happen, let’s just say it took me months to do that.” We were interrupted by a dark blue flame, I frowned as the dark letter landed in front of me.
I unrolled the letter, I frowned as I knew it was important if Luna was sending it to me through tour secret flame connection. Trixie raised an eyebrow “Since when did Luna have a message system with you?”
I sighed “Since before I was a statue. Heck the letters actual went into the statue, I may have been the only reason she stayed so long, I told her to have faith in Celestia but Celestia failed to met my expectations.”
Trixie smiled “That was admirable.”
I shook my head “No, it was mainly a way to alleviate boredom in the statue state I was in. You sometimes think too much of me.”
Trixie smiled “Well I love you so that probably has something to do with it, now let’s read what it said.”

We have to talk all 5 of us, between Trixie and more importantly Twilight’s actions. Many of the world’s leaders are looking at this as a sign of weakness, we need to correct this or all the peace in Equestria will be replaced with years of bloody war.

I scowled “This is bad.”
Trixie nodded “Well then let’s fix up this mess that me and Twilight have caused.” I nodded back to her and she lifter her hoof, teleporting us to Canterlot.
woke up with a yawn, maybe I could finally get some peace after what Trixie did. I had a quick shower then entered the kitchen where I made myself an egg sandwich, one of the few things I could make in the kitchen without setting it on fire. I then sat at the map table to eat, Spike entered the room. I asked “Would you help read up on some old books in the library, a nice relaxing read might take my mind off the madness of the last couple of days?”
Spike opened his mouth only for green fire to burst out and a letter with Celestia’s real landed in front of us. I picked up and began to read
Dear Twilight Sparkle
I understand you have been under a lot of stress lately but we have to work together to prevent fall out from recent incidents, the Griffons, Dragons, Zebra and Minotaurs are sending diplomats, all Princesses must be present.

I sighed “Spike we have to head to Canterlot as soon as possible.”
Spike frowned “We haven't even had breakfast.” I ignored his complaint as I levitated him onto my my back and galloped to the station.
I asked the ticket pony “I need two tickets to Canterlot.”
The mare said “Of course Princess here you are, free of charge.”
I scowled as I put 20 bits on the table “No, I will pay and you will accept it!” I stomped away and took a seat until the next train arrived. I was not happy about the stares I got from the ponies around me. I got on the train and took a seat in a passenger cabin.
Spike frowned “Why are you so angry?”
I sighed “I’m just stressed out, I just want to relax and not worry about things. I am on the verge of having a mental breakdown, I just want to relax.”
Spike said “Maybe you should go to the spa by yourself and get some pampering in after this.”
I smiled “That’s a wonderful idea, thanks Spike.”
Spike nodded “Your welcome.”
We arrived in Canterlot and I frowned as I was getting scowls from most of the ponies around me. A group of the royal guards arrived and escorted Spike and I to the castle. They left us once we entered and the pair of us arrived in the throne room. I saw my fellow Princesses my brother, I then scowled as I saw Trixie and Discord sitting there as well.
Celestia said “Between Trixie and Twilight’s magic duel as well as Trixie's chaotic pranks many of our allies are concerned of fallout between us and those who aren’t may invade us if we don’t show a sign of solidarity. We need to fix this.”
Luna nodded “Agreed dear sister, I’m afraid our guests are sure to arrive soon.”
We watched as a Dragon and Zebra entered, the Dragon bowed “I’m Inferno, diplomat of Dragon Lord Torch he want to make sure that the dragons won’t get caught up in any squabbles.”
The Zebra frowned “I’m Zevan and I’m here for the same reason, we Zebras want to stay safe.”
Trixie bowed “Discord and I will keep out of your lands, I took a prank way too far my apologies for scaring you people.”
Zevan and Inferno “Thank you both, I just wish the same from your Princesses.”
Trixie turned to Luna “My apologies for embarrassing you.”
A look of shame crossed Luna’s face “I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have given you Nightmares.”
Celestia raised an eyebrow, Trixie, Spike and I gasped in unison. Luna tried to give Trixie nightmares. Trixie shook her head “Your forgiven as well, we all make mistakes.”
I gasped Trixie than turned to me “I’m sorry for everything,I have been a fool.” I was stunned she apologised to me, I was not sure how to react.
I then felt something big and squishy bonk my horn. I scowled as I saw Discord holding a giant rubber hammer. Discord rolled his eyes “I was trying to get you attention for the last hour, I turned you green, I made your horn floppy, I even made you wings flay away for twenty minutes and you didn’t respond.”
I rubbed the back of my head “Sorry about that I was just a little stunned a Trixie's apology.” I turned to Trixie “I’m sorry too, I saw it as opportunity to be important. I still feel a bit inadequate as a Princess, like I’m not doing enough.”
Trixie telported over and stared me right in the eyes “Twilight you can’t compare yourself to Celestia or Luna. We are little over 20, we adults by mortal standards but by immortal standards we are babies, Celestia and Luna are over 1000 years old and I have no idea how long Discord has been around, give it time. Celestia, Luna and Discord didn’t become masters in an instant, we both have a lot to learn Twilight.”
I smiled “Thanks Trixie.”
Trixie grinned back “Your welcome.”
Zevan and Inferno grinned “Well looks like you have done all you mushy making up. I’d say we’re done here and…”
A voice boomed “I AM STEEL AXE AND I DEMAND SURRENDER!”
Another voice squawked “I AM DARK WING AND I TOO DEMAND YOU SURRENDER!”
Trixie grinned as we trotted to the balcony to look upon thousand of Griffon and Minotaur warriors “Come one let’s show these bastards our new found unity.”
Luna’s Royal Canterlot Voice boomed “Charge!”I watched as Luna, Discord and Trixie burst out there. Discord was swinging a huge rubber sword that was knocking them flying, Trixie summoned balloons that were someone attacking both the Minotaurs and Griffins. Luna meanwhile was the only one attacking conventionally.
I turned to see Celestia shaking, she whimpered “Must maintain control, must maintain…” Then her eyes glowed red and she flew out she materialised a huge white axe, I froze as she cleaved one of them in half blood spattering all over her coat, she began laughing madly as she continued to sweep through “Die Die Die Die Die.”
Discord turned around and clicked his claws, I turned around to see Luna, Trixie, and Discord behind me. Trixie scowled “Discord why did you...” Her jaw dropped as she Celestia as did mine, her coat was red with blood as she madly killed opponent after opponent.
Luna sighed “I guess you never saw Celestia’s mad rage, she gets like this in combat.”
Trixie eyes widened “That explains why I have her called the Mad Princess.” I saw Celestia stop, I realised that she got them all. I was shocked at all the corpses before me.
We all teleported down and approached her, I saw the red fade from her eyes. Then she screamed as tears flowed from her eyes “No No No, I lost control again, I killed them!”
Discord summoned a cloud and it rained soapy over her coat washing out the blood which then vanished with a click. Discord then gave her a hug while he clicked his claws. We were standing in Celestia's bedroom, he dried her off.
Discord said “We should all return home.”
Spike barged in “You all left me in throne room!”
Inferno frowned “They had to take care of Celestia.”
Discord said “I need to take care of her right now.” Trixie nodded and disappeared.
Discord frowned “Now Twilight you need to go home.” I opened my mouth to speak but he put a claw over it “Celestia always is in a fragile mental state after one of those rages and if she’s been bottling it up for centuries it will be even worse. You really need to think on what you’re going to say to her before you speak to her again.” He clicked his claws and Spike and I were sitting in the Castle throne room. Rarity and Sombra were looking at us curiously.
I was wandering through Ponyville, with Discord not around I thought a friendly stroll. I smiled as few ponies waved at me, one was a mint green unicorn with lyre cutie mark and the other was a cream earth pony with 3 candies on her flank. I began to hum as I trotted through the quiet town. I felt a ball of chaos flying at me, I ducked to see Pinkie fly over my head and land on her hind legs perfectly.
She then bounced over to “Hi Trixie I really wanted to bake some cupcakes with Rainbow Dash today but I haven’t seen her all day. It's only been a day since wee met up with Gilda.”
I said “I’ll look for her she can’t possibly have gone too far.” I took to the skies and I scowled as I saw a band of Griffons flying around.
I used my magic to amplify my hearing the largest of them shouted “Spread out we will find damn Rainbow Pony and then we’re going to eat her alive. How dare she bring her pathetic pony ways to Griffonstone.”
I watched as they split up, I flew to Sweet Apple Acres, and I cast a simple eyesight spell. I saw a rainbow tail poking out of a tree, I landed next to the tree. I coughed to draw her attention, she scowled “I have been hiding from those…” She gasped, I frowned and turned around to see 3 griffins standing in front of me.
I scowled “You will leave her alone.”
The 3 Griffins laughed “What is a little namby pamby pony like you going to do to stop us from roughing her up.”
I raised an eyebrow “Is that all of you?” I rolled my eyes as another 40 Griffons landed. I grinned “Well this might be fun.”
The head griffon walked forward holding a huge bag of bits, he said “Leave and you can have the bits, you are of no concern of us.”
I laughed “You really think I’ll abandon a fellow pony to you. I know what you Griffons do to those who displease you.”
He look over me but as soon a she sees my Cutie Mark he falters, “Your Trixie Lulamoon.”
I roared “YOU AND YOUR LITTLE BAND OF BANDITS KILLED HER, YOU ATE HER ALIVE!” I raised a hoof levitating them in the air. I glared at their leader.
Their leader stammered “She’s not dead, she vanished in a flash of light. I have no idea where she went, I swear it on the might and honour of King Grover.”
I slammed the into the ground hard enough to hurt, I snarled “If you dare come back here I will kill you all!” The griffins all flew away at breakneck pace.
Rainbow Dash shouted “That was so awesome!” She then asked “Who were they talking about?”
I cried tears streaming down my face “Those bastards captured me when I was a foal of ten years. A Pegasi mare named Gemstone Star saved my life. They caught her and I saw them tear her wings off and eat them. I closed my eyes after that as I tried to block out her screams, I owe her my life. I must find her even if it is to just say thanks.”
Rainbow Dash asked “What did she look like?”
I smiled “She had a light pink coat with a light purple mane, she had a cutie mark of a storm on her flank. I only knew her for a short while but she saved me.”
Rainbow Dash said “Yeah, um thanks for helping me. I was worried when they offered you bits.”
I laughed “A friend never gives up on another friend right?”
She chuckled back “Yeah that’s true.”
I said “Well we should go and help Pinkie with her baking.” Rainbow Dash gasped and dragged me along to Sugarcube Corner as quickly as she could. I felt something in me tingle but I was unsure of what.
Meanwhile a tall pink mare’s horn glowed through her purple mane, her large wings resting at her sides as she smiled “I’m glad you still going strong Trixie, maybe sometime we will meet again.”
I sat next to Celestia in her room as she cried, this isn’t the first time she did this. When I met as an adult for the first time she was crying over a dead hydra. I smiled as I rubbed my claw through her hair, she looks like her mother in so many ways. I smiled “It’s not your fault, it happens to the best of us.”
Celestia cried “I murdered them in cold blood.”
I frowned “You lost control, it happens. I have done far worse, after I became King Discord well I had to kill thousands. Every other nation declared war on Equestria, within a year I had a suit of armour made of dragon scales, a cape made of Minotaur hide lined with Griffon plumage, my goblet was a literal griffon skull. I may have been chaotic silly when it came to running the nation but when it came to war I was a serious fighter.”
Celestia tear struck face was stunned, I sighed “Cruelty is a choice we make, I was cruel back then I killed thousands, played with lives for my own amusement. I was a forgotten relic by the time I took over, the true me forgotten by all.”
Celestia asked “How do you cope with it? I feel terrible.”
I saw her begin to cry again, I sighed “To be honest it will never stop hurting but as someone who has experienced it first hand it passes with time and effort. My advice would be to forgive but not forget, it is an easy lesson to forget. We are not perfect beings after all.”
Celestia looked down “How can I do this, I have never lost control like this. What if it happens again.”
I frowned “Stop worrying, I care about you okay. You may not know why but I do alright. Listen to yourself this is not the time to wallow to yourself in pity, you ponies need to be assure their safe after the attack. You are not the young filly you once were, you Celestia the Princess of Sun, the Eternal Victor, the First Child of True Harmony and the Invincible Sun, it’s time for people to see that side of you again, the warrior that you have long forgotten you were.”
Celestia wiped her tears off and nodded grimly “Your right, my rage has been building because I haven't let it out, I have been holding ti back, never fighting. I let Luna handle that side for so long, it’s time for me to return to the field.” I smiled as she opened a locked wardrobe, a full suit of golden armour enchanted by untold magics to be impossible to destroy by normal means.
I smiled after she put the armour on “That’s the Celestia I remember, the one who overcame the chaos, overcame the countless trials on finding the elements and sealed me away.” Her golden armour from head to hoof, her wings flared out with the golden armour on them, a horn guard protecting her armour covered horn. There was symbol of her cutie mark on the chestplate.
She smiled “Thank you Discord, I appreciate your help.”
I replied “I’m glad to be of service, I believe Trixie is awaiting me back in Ponyville. I believe she wants me to return home.” After I teleported home I felt something tingle in my chest, I shook my head and got myself ready for the night. I smiled as I saw Trixie sleeping soundly. I laid next to her and we descended into the realm of sleep.
I trotted down to the kitchen to see Discord drinking a glass as usual. I said “Discord we need to talk.”
Discord finished his drinking his glass and raised an eyebrow “Why?”
I shook my head “We need to get out more, if we want to gain the trust of those around us we need to actually do helpful things, I was planning to help Applejack at the farm and Rarity is running a fundraiser, maybe we could help them.”
Discord nodded “That sound like a good idea, before you came along I was moping around because I was unsure what I should do.”
I smiled “Well let’s go and we’ll discuss how it felt afterwards.”
Discord nodded, he teleported next to me and gave me a light kiss before teleporting away.I nodded as I quickly drank a glass before trotting to Sweet Apple Acres. I arrived and smiled as I smelt the fresh air, it reminded my family’s home, the smell of hay and dirt. I trotted up to a large red stallion and I asked “Where may I find Applejack?”
He simply pointed to a distant field “Eeyup.”
I smiled “Thanks sir …”
He supplied me his name “Big Mac.”
I nodded “Thanks Big Mac.” He nodded and trotted away. I galloped down to the orchard to see Applejack bucking a tree, I waited for her to finish the current tree, I the called out “Applejack.”
Applejack turned around and raised an eyebrow “Trixie, why are you here?”
I smiled “I’m here to help, beside we don’t know each other very well.”
Applejack smirked “Well let’s see how well you buck trees.” I followed her and demonstrated her technique, she pushed off the ground slamming dead centre with just enough force to make the apples fall into the basket. I tried to do the same only for my hooves to knock the tree out of the ground.
Applejack glared at me, I smiled nervously “I can fix that.” I waved my hoof and the tree was back where it was supposed to be. I said “Maybe I should just carry the apples and cart them back?”
Applejack said “That’s a good idea.” Horus later I smiled as we sat there on the watching the sun leave the world for a time. Applejack asked “Why do you perform your shows?”
I sighed “You mean why do I tell those ‘lies’? Well it’s simple, have you ever something massive you wanted in your life.”
Applejack shook her head “No, Ah don’t.”
I frowned “Okay have you ever believed you could do something and you couldn’t.”
Applejack replied “Yeah, not long before Ah met you Ah believed Ah could complete the entire harvest of Sweet Apple Acres by mahself, without mah friends Ah would have kept going.”
I said “Now imagine that you were pushed away by everypony and that became the sole focus in you life until it consumed you.”
Applejack’s eye’s widened “That didn’t happen to you did it?”
I frowned “Yes and no, you see there are two types of honesty, being honest to others and being honest to yourself.”
Applejack frowned “What does that mean?’
I rolled my eyes “The first part means telling the truth and the second part means being honest with what you want in life, I called myself the The Great and Powerful Trixie because that was who I wanted to be, if I kept saying that I would never forget that goal but soon I fell for it, I believed I was Great and Powerful, until I met your friend Twilight. She showed me the mare I wanted to be, it’s why I grabbed the amulet, I wanted to be like her.”
Applejack nodded “Ah guess Ah never needed to understand that part, Ah’ve never being extremely ambitious, competitive yes but not ambitious. Ah can’t believe Ah missed out on that part of my Element.”
I smiled “Nopony’s perfect, you are a very honest mare, you fit your element well. Just if you ever have a goal aim for it but never let your friends get hurt along the way.”
Applejack smiled “Thanks, Ah’ll take that advice.”
I smiled “Well I need to get home, I want to know how Discord’s day went.”
Applejack grinned “Keep him out of trouble.”
I grinned back “I will.” I felt something tingling in my chest, I wondered if I had a problem as I trotted home.
I teleported over to the Town Hall, I approached Rarity. I said nervously “Hi Rarity.”
Rarity turned and smiled “Discord, it’s good to see you out about.”
I smiled nervously “I teleported over here and I wondered if I could help?”
Rarity smiled “That’s a great idea, this is to raise funds for the local orphanage.I have got most of the decorations ready. I however am lacking an entertainer, you are quite a trickster.”
I laughed “Of course I’ll do it, I loved foals, they never judged me for anything.”
Rarity smiled “Well it sounds like you’ll do great, they’ll be here in a couple of hours.” I grinned as I began to make balloon dogs for the foal’s arrival.
2 hour later I smiled as the foals rushed in eagerly, a few adult ponies form the orphanage were watching, I gave each foal a balloon dog. I smiled as I conjured up a puppet show booth. I hid behind it and began moving the puppets, I began telling the story Sir Iron Shield and Lady Gemstone. I grinned as I decided to make it more interesting.
I clicked my claw and the foals were standing on my back as I leaned close to the battlefield. I grinned as I narrated in a deep voice “The mighty Sir Iron Shield approached a castle only for a terrifying Nightmare Dragon to emerge.”
I waved my claws and they watched in awe as Sir Iron Shield appeared in front of them, he was large silver earth pony carrying a huge greatsword with 6 glowing gems embedded in it in his mouth, his cutie mark was a huge red shield. He rushed across the barren wasteland to a large dark castle with lightning striking the very ground form the stormy skies. I smiled as I heard the foals gasp in awe, then shadow crushed out of the castle forming a huge shadowy dragon.
The dragon spoke in a demonic voice “Begone, the Lady Gemstone belongs to me.”
Sir Iron Shield roared “Never foul beast, you will be destroyed by my blessed blade.” He dodged the dragon fierce shadowy flames before cutting into the dragons flesh. The dragon roared and turned to black smoke, Sir Iron Shield galloped into the castle only to find the Lady Gemstone standing there staring at the moon in sorrow, her pale white wings and long horn, her pink mane resting over her shoulders.
Lady Gemstone spoke in a mournful tone “You have to come to bring me home but I can’t return yet.”
Sir Iron Shield begged “You must come with me, it’s too dangerous here the dragon…!” A huge roar bellowed as the fearsome dragon roared at them, Lady Gemstone approached the Shadowy Dragon. Just as the Shadowy Dragon was about smite the fair lady, Sir Iron Shield slammed his sword into the ground and 6 ponies made of pure light burst forth from the gems, a blue Pegasus and yellow Pegasus slammed into the dragon followed by a pink earth pony and orange earth pony then finally a purple unicorn and a white unicorn put a huge shield.
The dragon backed off at the sight of the six ponies then Sir Iron Shield’s sword glowed, the six gems empowered the warriors and then they glowed. A Rainbow Light burst forth from them and struck the dragon. The dragon’s body writhed and shrunk as the shadows poured form it revealing a small blue foal with a horn and wings, her light blue mane hanging off her shoulders. Lady Gemstone approached the foal in tear “My precious sister, I’m so sorry. I ignored your cries.”
The small foal cried “It’s all my fault, I should have listened to your words.” The six glowing warriors smiled as they returned to the blade and Sir Iron Shield approached the hoping to return them home.
I clicked my claws and we were standing there again in the Town Hall, the young foals cheered “That was amazing can we do that again?”
The adult ponies smiled as they looked down at the little animated play below them “Thanks you Discord, we were wrong about you.”
I was about to say something when I heard a crying foal behind them. I stepped past to see a white earth pony with a pale green mane foal in a wheelchair, I asked “Why wasn’t she with the rest of them?”
The adult ponies said “She is handicapped, we try to keep her away from strenuous activities.”
I frowned “Why haven’t you given her braces for her legs?”
The adult ponies frowned “She was born with her back legs in a state of extreme muscular atrophy, we can’t afford custom made braces.”
I nodded and I clicked my claws, I could see the state of her muscles and bone structure, any worse and she would her back legs amputated. I summoned myself a ruler and some measuring tape. I asked as I was measuring “What’s your name?”
She replied nervously “Winter Snow.”
I smiled warmly “Well Winter Snow today is you lucky day.” I clicked my claws and a pair of leg braces began to form in front of me, they had a solid adjustment strap and steel reinforcements to support her legs. I quickly attached her the to her legs.
I beckoned her to take a step forward, when her two back legs touched the the ground they wobbled slightly but she could still walk. I smiled “Come on one trot at a time.”
My smile grew as with each step she grew more confident and a smile began to appear on her young face. She then gave me a hug “Thank you Mr Discord.”
I nodded maintaining my smile “Your welcome.”
The adults gasped “How? You just made a brace out of air.”
I burst into laughter “Who wrote the first book on medicine?”
They blinked “Dr Entropy, why?”
I grinned “My full name is Discord Entropy Harmonium. Also note she won’t need it forever eventually she will be able to trot without it.”
They gasped “No way!”
I turned away form the shocked adults to approach the foals, I said once arrived “Winter Snow I have a gift for you.” She approached me and I pulled out a candle from my mane, I smiled “If you want to send me a letter just light the candle and burn the letter.”
She smiled “Thanks.”
2 hours past I played and entertained the foals. Rarity trotted out “You did an amazing job today and what you did for that foal. I can’t express how grateful for I am.”
I grinned “If you want it repay tell me the next time you organize one of these.”
Rarity glowed “That’s great, I’ll be happy to see you again.”
I smiled “Yeah, well me and Trixie have a lot to talk about.”
I felt a small tingling in my chest, I shook my head teleported home to see Trixie sitting there she threw a solid block of chocolate milk behind her which exploded. She grinned “How was your day?”
I smiled “Great, I love working with foals, I even helped a filly walk again.”
Trixie smiled back “Well I helped Applejack on the farm and we learned a bit about each other as well as were we stand on honesty, her element.”
I said “Maybe I should go visit Twilight, I haven’t exactly given her much reason to trust me.”
Trixie frowned “I should go and spend some time with Pinkie Pie, I treated her pretty badly during the incident, I stole her mouth.”
I nodded “Well since our plans are confirmed let’s go to bed.” Trixie nodded and I teleported over grinning, I lifted her into my arms, after all I was ready for some loving.
I trotted downstairs conjured myself up a large breakfast, I would need the energy to keep up with the party pony. Discord teleported down stairs and frowned “Why are you eating such a large breakfast?”
I deadpanned “Two words, Pinkie Pie.”
Discord nodded “Fair enough, I’m off to see Twilight.” He clicked his claws and vanished.
I smiled “Good luck.”
I peacefully costumed all the food in silence and then grabbed a pair of saddlebags to carry anything Pinkie would load onto me as well as carry my bit pouch. I trotted into Ponyville only to notice the glares I received from a lot of ponies, the fact I had to wonder what they were glaring at me for, the Ursa Minor, the Alicorn Amulet or the Duel with Twilight made me frown, I have way too many reasons for the ponies to hate me.
I bumped into something and fell over, I groaned as I realised I bumped into the door of Sugarcube Corner, I ducked as I entered. Pinkie bounced over “Hiya Trix.”
I smiled nervously “Hi Pinkie, um do you need help with anything?”
Pinkie shouted “Of course, I need to get you ready for the show, we have a comedy routine to perform.” I gasped as she dragged me into the kitchen she then through me in the basement.
I got up only to see Pinkie standing there, I scowled “Pinkie what the hell?”
Pinkie smiled “We have a comedy routine to set up, I want to make some foals smile.”
I asked “How much time do we have?”
Pinkie grins “No time.” I barely blinked as I was thrown into a box, I looked around to see myself in Twilight’s castle.
I thought (How to be humorous, as of course act like Discord.)
I blinked as I hear a loud noise turned around to see Pinkie cleaving through the door with an axe, she grinned “Here’s Pinkie.”
I grinned back as she broke down the door, I opened a door next to me and jumped into it. I poked my head out of the door behind her and poked her bottom with a needle, she yelped as she turned around for the door to have closed behind her. I poked my head out of the door and giggled “I’m over here.”
I then poked my head out of another door “Over here.”
I blinked as I heard a burst of magic blasted a door down, Twilight scowled “What the buck are you two doing?”
I shouted “Pinkie what now?!”
Pinkie dropped her axe and shouted “Run!” We jumped through a door laughing as we ran between doors randomly as Twilight fired blast of magic at where we were. My hooves glowed then thousands of me and Pinkie where running through the hallways giggling and laughing.
Twilight screamed as she fired all kinds of spells at us, I blinked as the clones dissapeared and I turned to see Discord glaring at me and Pinkie. Pinkie grabbed me before Discord could click his claws and pulled us into a an empty room. I saw strings surrounding me, I asked “What is this place?”
Pinkie frowned “This is the true source of chaos, even Discord has only seen glimpses of this place. I never use my full powers because of how dangerous they are, chaos is a great responsibility. Even Melody can’t access this place, I am it’s guardian older than time itself but I need a new body every hundred years.”
I gasped “Who are you really Pinkie Pie?”
Pinkie frowned “Chancellor Puddinghead, Party Wiz, Mr Joker, Silly Putty and that’s just to name a few, I’m not the same being I was the Rainboom changed me in ways I can’t imagine.” She then grinned “I guess all I can do is make ponies smile.”
She pulled the two of us out again and we were in Sugarcube Corner. A whole bunch of foals were smiling “That was a great show, it was really funny.”
I gasped “They were watching?”
Pinkie smiled “Of course I needed a partner and you did such a great job, you knew exactly what to do to make them laugh, isn’t that right.”
The foals nodded happily “Oh it was so awesome, you were amazing and that getaway from Discord was great too, you two just vanished.”
I blushed “Thanks.”
After the foals left Pinkie said “You will not tell anypony anything of what you saw in there.”
I smiled “I cross my heart, hope to fly and stick a cupcake in my eye.”
Pinkie smiled “I’ll speak to Discord so you don’t get into trouble.”
I smiled “Thanks Pinkie do you need some help baking?”
Pinkie smiled “I might, that did take longer than I thought.” I nodded and we baked up a storm for the rest of the day, I could feel a warm tingling in my chest all day.
I knocked on the door to the Friendship Castle. Spike frowned as he opened the door “Since when do you knock?”
I frowned “When I want to be polite.”
Spike shouted “Twilight, changeling!”
Twilight galloped down and facehooved “He’s not a changeling.”
Spike frowned “But he knocked and tried to be polite.”
Twilight groaned in front of us “No because if a changeling could catch Discord they wouldn’t need a disguise and that is a terrible disguise if they did.”
I smiled “Thank you Twilight.”
Twilight frowned “Why are you here?”
I sighed “I’m here to mend some fences, we aren’t exactly on the best terms and I believe it would do us all some good if we fix this before it gets worse.”
Twilight scowled “Fine.” I followed Twilight into the castle’s library, Twilight frowned “Why are you not being weird?”
I sighed “Two reasons, one I must set a good example for Trixie and two I am trying to make up for my mistakes.”
Twilight nodded “I see, well could you help me reorganise some of these books.” I grabbed some books and began putting them on their proper shelves. Twilight frowned “Why aren’t you using your magic?”
I groaned “My magic hasn’t recovered enough to function in such a high harmony environment such as your castle.”
Twilight asked “I’ve been curious about your origins, where did you come from?”
I frowned “I’ll tell a little bit but you must promise to tell nopony else, Trixie is the only one who knows all of it and I won’t tell you as much as I did tell her.”
Twilight goes through the motions “Cross my heart hope to fly stick a cupcake in my eye.”
I asked “Okay, have you heard of Faust?”
Twilight blinked “Who hasn’t heard of Faust the goddess of ponies? What happened to her is a mystery however.”
I said “She is locked away in a mountain by powerful enchantments that even the Princesses can’t break.”
Twilight frowned “How do you know that?”
I sighed “I was the one who locked her away.”
Twilight gasped “WHAT!”
I frowned “It was a sibling disagreement, it runs in the family.”
Twilight scowled as she put the pieces together “You locked your sister away in a mountain because of jealousy.”
I snarled “I was angry alright, you don’t understand it do you. She didn’t care about me I held onto my jealousy for years and I finally snapped, I spared her daughters and left them in the care of Starswirl.”
Twilight’s jaw dropped “You mean Celestia and Luna are your nieces?!”
I frowned “Correct you are and I would prefer to keep that way for now.” I didn’t want them to get involved in our feud.
I blinked as I heard the sound of running in the hallway, I frowned “Who is running in the hallways.”
Twilight scowled “I bet it’s Trixie.” She galloped out of the library.
I groaned “I hope not.” I continued to put books away when I heard explosions begin to go off. I bolted out the door as fast I could, I knew I couldn’t use my magic in here but I grinned the intruders don’t know that. I burst in to see Pinkie and Trixie standing there, I was about to click my claws when they both vanished, I groaned “She used it again.”
Twilight followed me “What do you mean?”
I frowned “The core of true chaos, she is it’s guardian. She wasn’t prepared for my manipulations and I didn’t know who she was. She gave me an earful afterwards, she gave me a deep gash after the Tirek incident.”
Twilight frowned “Then why didn’t she stop Tirek?”
I frowned “Simple chaos is incredibly dangerous and she is forbidden for using unless a threat to Harmony emerges. She was about to go to hell on Tirek before you went to the Tree of Harmony, he couldn’t disrupt her body’s connection to chaos because she is made of chaos.”
Twilight blinked “What!”
I frowned “Don’t ask her about it, even I don’t prod her about that.”
Twilight whined “But but…”
I stated “If your try and interact with it will turn you inside out in the best case scenario, not good for beings who need their insides inside their body to live.”
Twilight sighed “Fine.”
We returned to the library only to see Pinkie Pie standing there, she said “Sorry about that, it was my idea. Trixie was trying to make up for taking my mouth during the Alicorn Amulet Incident.”
I frowned as Pinkie Pie bounced away “I better go, she is going to be worried.”
Twilight said with a small smile “Thank you Discord, I haven't treated you fairly in the past but I can see you’ve truly changed.”
I smiled back “I’m glad to here that, I definitely think Trixie has helped me change. I do need to speak with her tonight about this, I feel like we may finally become accepted here.”
I felt a slight tingle in my chest as I headed home to speak to Trixie. I blinked to see Trixie shaking as she saw me enter, I sighed “I’m not mad, Pinkie told us everything.”
Trixie sighed “I shouldn’t have joined in.”
I shook my head “Nonsense friends work together and have fun together.”
Trixie smiled “Thanks.”
I gave her a small peck on the cheek “You’re welcome.”
Trixie smiled “Let’s hope we can find peace in these coming months.”
I nodded “I agree now let’s get some sleep before tomorrow comes.”
Meanwhile
A mare laughed in the Everfree Castle “Yes Starswirl’s time spell with this I will change everything but for now I have to find out a place to anchor it to.”
I was trotting next to Discord with a smile, for the last six months we have been gaining the trust of the ponies of Ponyville. The children love us, I shouted as I waved “Hi Bon Bon, hi Lyra.”
They both waved back “Hi Trixie Hi Discord, you both going to attend Pinkie Pie’s surprise party next week.”
Discord smiled at them “Of course no one misses a Pinkie Pie party.” I then felt something coming from Twilight’s Castle, I instantly cast a shield spell around me and Discord. I watched as Lyra and Bon Bon vanished as the environment shifted, huge factories spouting out smoke as guards ran through the streets. Discord scowled “That was temporal energy.”
I gasped “Somepony changed time!”
Discord nodded “Yes and it had to be a major event too which makes it even worse.”
I groaned “Okay we need to find somepony who can tell us something. The Apples probably know something as the cornerstone ponies in Ponyville.”
I teleported us to Sweet Apple Acres to see giant factories manufacturing weapons. I blinked “Look it’s Applejack.”
Discord blinked as he saw Twilight we galloped over with Spike on her back, he frowned “Twilight what’s happening?”
Twilight growled “Starlight Glimmer, the mare who stole our Cutie Marks but with some help me and my friends stopped her, she then went back in time to stop us from ever getting them and becoming the Elements of Harmony.”
I blinked “Um what are the Elements of Harmony?” Just as Discord was about to respond, Discord and I were violently jerked away from Twilight and Spike.
I turned around to see a crystal tree with had 6 glowing orbs in front of it. Discord frowned “Why are we here?”
The tree glowed “I am here to give you two a gift.” The stones shattered revealing 6 glowing gems, I screamed as I felt three of the gems fly into my body, their energies tearing through my flesh, I writhed on the ground for what felt like hours.
I opened my eyes and shouted “What was that for?!”
The tree said “I gave you the Elements of Harmony.”
Discord frowned “You really have a poor sense of humour, yet again as the Tree of Harmony you never got a joke.”
The tree replied “It’s not joke, I am giving the elements. Also my name is Glow.”
I scowled “Why did we deserve this?”
Glow dimmed “The Elements of Harmony are not for masters of Harmony but to guide seekers of harmony until they are ready to wield the power on their own. You two have a few sparks of Harmony in you but it will take time to bloom, the elements are there to help you on that journey.”
Discord frowned “What do we do now?”
Glow said “Well which of the beings your friends beat is here.”
I frowned “This is a all out war so Sombra I’d guess.”
Discord nodded “Well we have to purify his mind or banish him if necessary.” We nodded to Glow and took off flying northward.
I frowned as I saw Celestia standing over a desolate wasteland with hundreds of the Royal Guards rushing forward fighting what appeared to be heavily armoured soldiers. I frowned “We should land.”
Discord said “Agreed we will need to inform this version of Celestia of our plans.”
We landed next to the Princess, Discord coughed, Celestia turned around and shouted “Discord, how did you escape?!”
I frowned “Now is not the time for this, we have a war to end.”
Discord nodded “She’s right where’s Sombra?”
Celestia scowled “Why should I trust either of you?”
I rolled my eyes “Because we are the ones who aren’t sending an army at you?”
Celestia scowled “Fine but I expect an explanation after this Discord!” She then pointed to a hill in the distance“He’s over there.”
I smiled “Well let’s see if these work.” We both nodded and focused on drawing the elements out, I opened my eyes as I felt those as strong sensation in me and 3 elements flew out my body, Celestia gasped as the elements flew out of us. I frowned “How do we get these to work?”
Discord turned to the hill which Sombra was standing on “By Kindness.” I blinked as the Kindness shifted into the shape of a pink butterfly.
I blinked as words came to me “By Loyalty.” Loyalty shifted into the shape red lightning bolt.
Discord continued “By Generosity.” Generosity morphed into a purple diamond shape.
I nodded “By Honesty.” Honesty morphed into the shape of an orange apple.
Discord finished “By Magic.” Magic glowed changing into a purple star.
I finished “By Laughter.” Laughter glowed changing into the shape of a blue balloon. We shouted together “By Harmony!” I felt energy course through me as the elements spun around us. I felt energy tear out of me and all went black.
I woke with a groan, I looked around to see we were in Canterlot Castle Infirmary, ponies were running around tending to wounded ponies. I heard Discord’s voice “Where are we?”
A nurse ran up to us “You’re awake, Princess Celestia wishes to speak with you immediately.”
I asked “Are they in the throne room?” The nurse nodded, I turned to Discord who was grinning, I waved my hoof and teleported us into the throne room.
Celestia was sitting there with Sombra on the other side of the table. Celestia frowned “You’re here, sit down we need to discuss how you two got here?”
Discord frowned “We’re from an alternate timeline that has been modified by a time traveller.”
Celestia sighed “That does explain why your statue is still there but it doesn't explain why you two can use the elements.”
I said “The Tree of Harmony explained that the elements are there to help us learn more about friendship and it’s place within Harmony, once we get there we will be able to call on the power at will.”
Sombra frowned “That makes sense.”
I felt temporal energy, me and Discord sighed “It seems time is changing again, we have to go now.” I felt the energy flow over us and we were standing in the throne room of Canterlot Castle surrounding by black bug like creatures with holes in their legs.
I growled “Changelings why did have to be Changelings?” I smashed a Changeling in the jaw with my claw. I turned around to see Trixie using a changeling as a hammer smashing the other changelings nearby. We panted heavily after an hour of bashing them, I groaned as more came in “Ready for round two?”
Trixie roared “I’m sick of these damn bugs.” Her body glowed with pitch black energy as she let out a huge flash blasting all the changelings out of Canterlot. Trixie frowned as she landed “Good riddance.”
I shook my head as I regained control of my senses “Wow, I was not expecting you to do that, it took me years to learn that.”
Trixie smirked “I had a great teacher.” I gave her a small peck on the cheek.” Trixie asked “So what now?”
I frowned “We head to the Everfree, it is a good place to hide from the changelings which means any ponies not captured would be there.” Trixie nodded and we flew deep into the the Everfree Forest,when we landed two mares jumped out at us holding spears, we blinked “Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie!”
Fluttershy and Pinkie who I noticed where wearing stripes snarled “Silence, changelings.”
We blinked as we heard the sound of buzzing, we turned as 10 changelings landed behind us. Trixie screamed “I’m sick of all these Tartarus damned bugs!” She waved her hoof at them and they turned into winged oranges that rolled down the hill.
Fluttershy and Pinkie blinked “Okay you’re definitely not changelings, we’ll take you to our camp.” We followed then to their camp in the forest, I blinked as I saw Twilight’s zebra friend, Zecora. Zebra have always been good at fighting Changelings it makes sense she is in charge.
Fluttershy said “We’ll assign you a living space.” We nodded and were taken to a tent, we watched as the alternate pair of our friends trotted over to Zecora for a bit were they discussed something before heading back into the forest.
I blinked as Zecora approached us, she smiled “You two are very impressive.”
I frowned “What happened to the rhyming.”
Zecora frowned “I had to drop the habit, orders need to be short and concise. I’m surprised you know about it.”
Trixie frowned “So what now, what are you plans for this small group?”
Zecora sighed “Survive.”
I growled internally that was bad, I turned to see our two friends come through with Twilight and Spike. Trixie shouted “Hey Twilight, Spike!”
Twilight galloped over with Spike on her back, she frowned “How are you here and why were you jerked away from us?”
Trixie said “Well we…..”
I scowled as I see Applejack gallop towards us with Rainbow Dash and Rarity behind them“Ponyville has been attacked by…”
I telported in and socked her in the jaw “You’re not fooling me Chrysalis!” Trixie ran up beside me.
Chrysalis snarled as she and her two changeling guards shed their disguises “Discord, I won’t let you stop me now I have come too far.”
I frowned “I couldn’t beat you alone but I’m not alone.” I nodded to Trixie and smiled “You see Chrysalis chaos is fun but Harmony brought us together.”
I grinned as we summoned the elements, the elements began to spin around us Chrysalis shouted “Attack!” I knew it was too little too late, the rainbow laser fired at Chrysalis, a huge blinding light filled the area. We opened our eyes and looked around, everypony was okay. I‘m pretty sure everypony gasped in shock, I know I did. Chrysalis had a pair of large rainbow butterfly wings, her horn was long and straight like a sword, her hooves no longer had holes.
Chrysalis gasped “The hunger it’s gone, I don’t feel the need to feed anymore.”
The changelings around her had similar changes and their wings were only one colour. Trixie recovered first and said “Now I believe you had something to do, we’ll wait for you in Canterlot.”
Trixie teleported us to the empty throne room. I frowned “You think she’ll change, I knew her for centuries and she was horrible to so many, she made me look like a saint.”
Trixie frowned “She was starving as where the rest of her kind, if they don’t need to feed off us they won’t harm us anymore.”
I frowned “I just hope you’re right.”
3 hours past and they stared out to see Princess Celestia trotting beside the transformed Queen Chrysalis. Celestia frowned “Discord how did you escape from your prison?”
I frowned as I pointed to the garden “You’re version of me is still there, I came from a different timeline that doesn't exist right now.”
Celestia turned around to see Discord’s statue sitting there, Celestia frowned “Chrysalis here told me everything, and I am not sure whether to trust her or not. So tell me do you have elements.”
Trixie said “We do.” we smiled as the elements fly out of us, Trixie continued “We got them from an alternate Tree of Harmony where you were at war with Sombra, and we will probably have to leave soon as the timeline shifts again.”
Celestia frowned “Me and Chrysalis where going over some peace treaties, I hoped one of you would join us.”
Chrysalis smiled “I must thank you both, you have saved my kind from the eternal hunger.”
I grinned “It’s fine Chryssi, see you soon.” I then frowned as a wave of light flashed over us.
Trixie frowned “Where are we?”
I growled as I stared outside “Canterlot Castle and Nightmare Moon won.” We both were very concerned as we stared at the moon.
I looked around, we were in a throne room. I saw Discord holding a ridiculously large clock and frowned “It’s supposed to be daytime.”
I sighed “Nightmare Moon.”
I turned as I heard a gasp of shock “Discord!” I turned around to see Nightmare Moon, I pulled her into the room with levitation thine cast a repulsion spell on the room preventing anypony else from getting near.
Discord and I turned to Nightmare Moon, she roared “Unhand me this instant, pony.”
I turned to Discord “Elements?”
Discord nodded “Elements.”
We summoned the Elements of Harmony around us, Nightmare tried to break out only for repulsion spell to bounce her back. The elements glowed and blasted her with their might. We turned away from the flash of light when we looked back we saw Luna lying there amongst the rubble of her armour. Luna got into an offensive stance “Discord, vile creature.”
Discord rolled his eyes “I’m not here to hurt you, we are here to help.”
Luna growled “Why should I believe you and your… Who is she you, thrall?”
Trixie growled at the accusation “He is my coltfirend that you very much!”
Luna raised any eyebrow “When did you find a mare who would love you?”
Trixie frowned “We talk about that later once you get your guard off our flanks.” The sound of banging at the door was evident. Trixie removed her spell and the guard barged in there.
The guards looked around “Nightmare Moon where are you?”
They turned to see the broken shards around Luna who was about she size of an average pony, they gasped “Nightmare Moon, my Queen what happened?”
Luna’s eyes widened as she turned to Discord and Trixie, she said “These two saved me from the darkness, Nightmare Moon is gone, I am Princess Luna guardian of the night.”
The guard blinked. Luna frowned “Now where’s my sister?”
Discord guided Luna to the window, she began to sob as she saw the image of a mare on the moon. I trotted forward my horn glowing, I fired a small beam at the moon pushing my magic through it, I gritted my teeth my horn hasn’t exactly been as useful to me and I’ve been neglecting it and instead waving my hooves to cause something to happen. I watched as the mare on the moon vanished, then a huge rush of air filled the room as I saw Celestia slam into the floor her mane on fire, she roared “Nightmare Moon show yourself!”
Luna grabbed her sister crying “I’m so sorry.”
Celestia's eyes widened “Luna how?”
Luna pointed her hoof at us, Celestia stared “Discord..”
Discord grinned “I’m not your Discord, your Discord is still sealed in a statue.”
I frowned “I’d love to explain further but we may not have much time.” I glared as a huge wave of light flooded towards us. With a flash we ended up once again in the throne room but it was empty.
Discord eyes narrowed as he looked out a window“Tirek.” I gasped as the whole castle shook, Discord frowned “We have to stop him, I just hope the elements are enough.”
I said “Well then let’s get going.”
We flew out there, Tirek grinned “Well what do we have here, another Discord and another pony, well more power for me.”
Discord and I growled “Not a chance!” I growled as I summoned the elements of Loyalty, Honesty and Laughter out of my body. I felt the other 3 elements as well we pushed them forward, we roared “For Harmony!”
Tirek grinned wickedly as he fire a huge ball of energy a us, we gritted our teeth as his energy pushed towards us. Tirek laughed manically “Even the elements can’t stop me now.”
Discord growled gritting his teeth “Dammit, the normal power of the elements doesn’t match up to Rainbow Power. We don’t have enough power.” I felt my teeth grinding against one another as we tried to push the attack back.Discord sighed “Well I guess this is the end.”
He grabbed me and placed his lips against mine, I could feel his tears dropping onto my muzzle.
Meanwhile
Far in the frozen north under the rubble of where a grand crystal castle once stood a heart shaped rock began to glow it’s energy roaring to life. It felt something it had thought long lost, it felt love.
The rock turned into a beautiful blue heart shaped gem, the gem flew into the air before seeking the source of love.
Trixie’s POV
I felt something fly into us glowing I smiled as the feeling of love glowed in my heart and soul. I watched as our bodies crystallised and the elements flew into us our bodies glowed with power on my left front leg there was a red lighting bolt while on my right was an orange apple, I felt a tingling on my back, so I cast a quick spell and saw a large blue balloon on it. I turned to Discord whose body was crystallised like mine, I saw he had a pink butterfly on his right paw with a purple gemstone of his left claw. I them blinked as a I saw a large six pointed purple star on his back.
Discord eyes widened “This could only be one thing, the Crystal Heart!”
I blinked “The Crystal heart, I thought that was a relic of the empire based on…” We both said in unison as it clicked “Love.”
Discord shook his head “Well love let’s deal with him.”
I turned to see a massive glowing barrier of power blocking Tirek’s attack with little effort. I growled “Let’s end this once and for all.”
I glared at Tirek who watched in horror as a huge crystallised rainbow laser blasted him tearing the magic out of him as well as banishing him to Tartarus If I’d hazard a guess. Me and Discord looked around as magic flew back into the environment. I smiled “Well another timeline saved, where are we going now.”
He turned to me “You’re biggest challenge, the one thing you never thought you would have to face.”
I asked “What is that?”
He sighed “Me.” I froze in horror as temporal energy passed over us.
Trixie was looking at me with horror in her eyes, a voice said “I’m glad you two turned up.”
I raised an eyebrow “Who are you?” I noticed the voice broke Trixie free from her shock.
The voice said to us “I am the Crystal Heart, I have fused with the two of you permanently. The timeline I was in the Crystal Empire was destroyed along with Sombra and I had no where to go and no power to do anything until I felt the love between you two.”
I frowned “Well we have to face me now.” I looked around at the cotton clouds and the floating houses. I scowled as I saw Cloud Houses on the ground.
I could hear the worry in Trixie’s voice as she asked “Do we have to do this?”
I nodded “Yes we do.” I gave a small peck “Don’t worry I’ll be right beside you.”
I smiled as Trixie smiled, the Crystal Heart giggled “So cute.”
We both scowled “Thanks for ruining the moment.” We flew towards Canterlot angrily.
We landed in the Canterlot Courtyard. We saw the alternate version of me riding a weird cart thing after Celestia and Luna who were wearing clown costumes. I clicked my claws turning the entire scene back to normal.
I watched as my counterpart shouted “Who’s ruining my fun!”
My eyes narrowed as I glared at him fiercely “That would be me.”
I watched as the two Princesses and my counterpart turned to face me. The two princesses gasped “Discord why are you all…”
My counterpart shouted as he clicked his claws zipping their muzzles “Why would another me stop my fun.”
Trixie snarled “Because he found a better way.”
I nodded “I couldn’t have put it better myself, now it’s time for you to return to you prison.” I grabbed Trixie’s hoof and I felt harmony course through me, I also could see the rainbow glow coming out of my crystallised body. I grinned as he the rainbow flew out turning him into a statue and retuning Equestria back to it’s normal state.
Celestia trotted up to me “What happened to you?”
I smiled “I found friendship and more importantly love.”
Luna frowned “How did you wield the elements and why are you made of crystals?”
Trixie said “Well the elements were gifted to us as guides for us to become better friends to all as for the crystal look it fused with us due to the our love for each other. It really helped in the last timeline with Tirek.”
The Princesses eyes popped out “You beat Tirek!”
I frowned “He was a tough cookie.” I sighed as I felt temporal energy “Well looks like we have to go, keep him somewhere safe.”
Trixie and I vanished as we ended up in another timeline, I growled as I see the forest mowed down.
Trixie and I see two unicorn brothers driving massive tractors, I nod to Trixie, her horn glows and I click my claws, trees grow out of the grounds to tower above the two unicorns vehicles. Trixie casts another spells and some of the trees grow arms and legs striking at the unicorns for their folly.
Then a we are enveloped in temporal energy again and we stand in an empty wasteland, no life, no sun just emptiness. Trixie frowns “I sense two ponies.”
I frowned, I couldn’t feel them yet again this world is quite dead but then again Trixie is better at sensing things than me, her magic due to the small amount of unicorn magic in it is more stable than mine. I frowned “Well then teleport us nearby.”
Trixie's horn glowed and with a pop we were standing next to Twilight with a Spike on her back and a purple unicorn with a star and a swirl for a cutie mark. Twilight just finished “…I don’t know why my friends are so important to Equestria but they are.”
The unicorn shouted “I don’t believe you!”
Trixie and I scowled “Well you should! I assume you’re Starlight Glimmer.”
The unicorn growled “Yes why?”
Twilight gasped “Discord why are you so sparkly.”
I said “Crystal Heart but it’s not important right now. She is.”
Spike asked “Can I have a bite?”
Trixie frowned “We’re still living things you know.”
Starlight scowled “What do you mean I should?!”
I frowned “It would be easier to show you.”
I teleported over to Twilight, I asked “I need to access your brain for a minute?”
Twilight turned to him “Why?”
Trixie rolled her eyes “He needs your memories since he can’t just show her our timeline.”
Twilight groaned “Fine but be careful up there.” I unscrewed her skull and stuck my my paw in there carefully. I grimaced her brain is really full, the only pony who’s brain is worse is Pinkie Pie’s, I can never find anything in there.I finally pulled several pictures out. I then closed her skull. Twilight shivered “That was unnerving.”
Starlight scowled “What is wrong with all of you!”
I frowned ignoring the comment “Trixie can you summon a memory bowl.”
Trixie nodded and a large bowl the size of several ponies full of memory liquid appeared. I frowned “Everyone get in.”
Starlight frowned “No.”
Trixie glared at her “Do it or else I turn you to ash right now! Between me and Discord’s power we could fix everything you’ve done with or without you so choose carefully!”
Starlight huffed “Fine.” Twilight, Trixie, Spike and I joined her. I dropped the memories in and we appeared in what seemed to the Everfree Forest. Starlight gasped “Where are we?”
I frowned “We are watching a three dimensional construct of when Twilight first ventured into the Everfree Forest.”
Twilight smiled “I remember this moment this is where Applejack…”
They watched as they saw Twilight dangling of the cliff. Starlight commented “I didn’t know how you used to be a unicorn.”
Trixie frowned “Stop interrupting I want to see this.”
We watched on, Applejack said “Let go.”
Past Twilight screamed “Are you crazy?!”
Applejack shook her head “No I ain’t, I promise you will be safe!”
Twilight’s image shouted “That’s not true!”
Applejack’s image stared into into her eyes “Trust me, What Ah’m saying to you is the honest truth. Let go, and you’ll be safe.” Twilight let go her screams stopped as she was caught by her two pegasi friends.
Starlight frowned “Why are you showing me this?”
I frowned “Because it’s important.”
We watched the scene shift to Twilight and her friends charging at a Manticore, Fluttershy jumped between them “Wait!” She approached the Manticore.
Starlight said “She is going to get herself killed.”
I turned to her and growled “Shut up and watch.” She went completely silent. We turned back to see Fluttershy being licked by the Manticore.
Past Twilight asked “How did you know about thorn?”
Fluttershy smiled “I didn’t but sometimes we all need to be shown a little kindness.”
Another memory came up in a dark forest and we watched as Pinkie burst into song. Starlight shouted “What in Celestia’s name was that? I’m getting kind of sick of this get to the point.”
I sighed “Fine”
We saw Rarity who had just cut off her tail and was used it to fix the sea serpents mustache. Then it shifted to Rainbow Dash who had resisted the temptation of the Shadowbolts.
Finally we were watching as Past Twilight smiled at Nightmare Moon. Starlight gasped “Nightmare Moon is real.”
Spike snapped “Yes she is, do you not read the news.”
Past Twilight said “You think you destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that. Well you’re wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here!”
Nightmare Moon gasped “What!”
Trixie frowned “Okay let’s skip the epic speech please.”
Twilight nodded “I agree let’s get to the point.” I clicked my claws skipping to the point where the 6 mares were glowing with each element around their neck. The rainbow laser blasted Nightmare Moon as she screamed “No!” They then watched the reunion of the two sisters.
Starlight gasped “You and your friends defeated Nightmare Moon.”
I snarled as fury filled me “Correct they did and guess what you undid that with time travel imagine eternal night happening because of you.”
Starlight shouted “That may not happen!”
Trixie snarled “Fine we’ll show you all of it.” We showed Starlight everything from my defeat to Queen Chrysalis, Sombra and even Tirek.”
I growled “Now do you see what you’ve done.”
Starlight cried “I didn't mean too, I just wanted revenge.”
Twilight shook her head she turned to Discord “I’ll handle things from here.”
I sighed “Fine.” I teleported us out and I watched as Twilight and Starlight were pulled into the past. A temporal wave of energy washed over me and Trixie and we ended up in Twilight’s castle alongside Twilight, Spike and Starlight.
Twilight smiled “Well Trixie I’ve decided to take Starlight on as my friendship student.”
Discord frowned “I suppose I can accept that but it will take some getting used to.”
I sighed “Yes but we got a second chance for our mistakes, heck I got third chance.”
Starlight smiled “Thanks for accepting me.”
I smiled “Maybe we should make a reformed bad guys club we could invite Luna oh and Twilight’s friend Sunset Shimmer as well.”
We watched as our friends entered the room, Rarity asked “What happened?”
Fluttershy asked “Um Discord and Trixie why are made of gems?
Rainbow and Applejack scowled “And why is she here?”
Me, Discord and Twilight said “Well that’s a long story.”
After we filled them in on everything we had a lot of different opinions. Rainbow grinned “I knew my rainboom was awesome but I didn’t think it meant that much to all of Equestria.”
Applejack frowned “I’m still surprised you wield the elements yet alone the power of the crystal heart.”
Discord wrapped them all in a big hug “We couldn’t have done it without you girls.”
Pinkie Pie looks around at her friends who were struggling to breath “Um Discord too tight.”
Discord smiled awkwardly “Sorry.”
I frowned “Rarity where is Sombra?”
Rarity smiled “Um he is in the Crystal Empire doing research for the Princesses.”
We heard several and saw several portals appear behind us. Much to the shock of everypony in the room, including me, several ponies and some non-ponies appeared from them. Celestia and Sombra came from the first one, then another Celestia came out from the second but with the Chrysalis we reformed, then out of third came Celestia and a small Luna with number four having Celestia and Cadence appeared, the final one had Celestia and a fully sized Luna step out.
They all smiled “We are all here for your help in saving our Equestrias. We met up in the Space Between before coming here to thank you, we would love to stay but duty calls us all.”
We blinked as they left as fast as they arrived but the five portals stayed. Celestia and Luna teleported in “What was that and what are those doing here?”
After we informed them and stopped them from tyring to murder Starlight. Discord said “There is something I must do, Celestia, Luna you should come with me.”
A voice said “It’s about time.” I blinked as I saw Melody trotting in her true form.
Celestia asked “Who are you?”
Luna then growled “Why is she here?”
I heard Discord sigh “She is my mother.” Celestia and Luna gasped.
Melody grinned “Yes and I am glad you are ready to do this.” Discord nodded and clicked his claws, when I opened my eyes, I saw Discord, Celestia, Luna and Melody.
Celestia asked “Why are we on a mountain?”
A tear dropped from Melody's eye as she spoke “This is where Discord sealed his sister away.”
Celestia and Luna’s mouth widened into an o shape. Discord clicked his claws, he sighed “Okay, Trixie we’re going to have to blast this thing.”
I nodded and smiled as he held my hoof, we turned rainbow coloured and then blasted the mountain, a pitch black barrier disintegrated leaving a pitch black cave. I blinked as a white alicorn with a crimson mane. She growled as she saw Discord “Dissonance, I’m going to rip you throat out!”
Discord said “I’m sorry sister.”
I tensed as she rushed towards Discord only to see a griffon claw grab her hoof. Melody snapped “Enough, I will not see both my children die today.”
The Alicorn growled “Only one will die today.”
Melody frowned “And tell me when his marefriend who is much more powerful than he is tries to kill you what will you do Faust?”
Faust smiled sheepishly at me as I glared at her “Um…”
Luna growled “Why are we here again?”
Celestia frowned “Luna calm down.”
Faust’s eyes widened, Luna snapped “Well Tia,we are freezing our flanks off.”
Faust gasped “Tia, Lulu, look how you’ve grown.”
Luna asked “Who are you?”
Discord, Melody and I said in unison “She is you mother.”
Celestia and Luna’s jaws dropped “Why didn’t we know?”
Discord frowned as he turned to to Faust “Me and my sister here had a Nightmare Moon level falling out.”
Celestia sighed “So it runs in the family.”
Faust frowned “Brother, what runs in the family.”
I frowned “Two siblings fighting because one got jealous and one of the two got locked away for a very long time. The only difference being the jealous one got locked away in the Princesses case.”
Luna said “Well we have to tell all of Equestria about this.”
Discord asked “I hope my nieces aren’t too angry at me?”
Celestia eyes widened “Nieces!”
I sighed “Let’s go back to Twilight’s castle.”
My horn glowed and one pop later we were all in Twilight’s castle. Twilight asked “What happened?!”
Celestia frowned “This is our mother Faust.”
Twilight asked “Are you sure?”
Luna frowned “Well we only have Discord and his mother’s word on it.”
Twilight cast a simple spell on the three Alicorns and there came up a three dings. Twilight nodded “Okay you three are family.”
Discord frowned “Well let’s get this public announcement over with then.”
I said “Yes let’s do that before your sister tired to kill you again.” Discord telported us to Canterlot throne room only to see an unusually large Earth Pony fighting several guards.
Celestia boomed “Enough!”
We appropriated the throne, Faust cried “Solar Storm.”
Solar Storm was equal to Celestia in height and his muscles bulged under his golden coat. His unruly fiery red mane covered his right eye, his left eye shone a brilliant sapphire blue. He spoke in deep voice “Faust, you’re back.” He turned to Discord “What’s he doing here?!”
I rolled my eyes “He here for the family reunion.”
Faust turned to Celestia and Luna “Say hi to your father.”
Solar Storm gave them a huge hug “Tia, Lulu it’s been so long.”
Celestia frowned “I would love to catch up but we need to inform the populace.”
Solar Storm nodded “Right.”
2 hours later we were all stranding behind the balcony of the castle. I watched as Celestia and Luna introduced their parents to the applause of the crowd. We then stepped out as the boomed “Now you can meet our Uncle and his marefriend.”
As we stepped out I could hear a cricket chirp at the silence. We stood there before moving to the other side of the two Princesses. They called out finally “You get to meet our grandmother, the goddess who created this world, Melody.”
We watched as Melody trotted out confidently. I could the crowd whispering, Melody grinned “In truth I have lived among all of you for a long time, not as myself but as the name you have heard of me is Vinyl Scratch.” The crowd frowned, Melody grin widened exponentially “I guess you know better as …” She clicked her claws and a turn table turned up, she put on a pair of purple shades.
The the music booted up as she boomed “DJ Pony!” The crowd was mixed between cheers and scowls, she grinned “If you want to here me play.” She then jumped down “Now I’m going to find Tavi and we’re going to get wasted!”
Me and Discord burst into laughter, I could here the giggles of Celestia and Luna beside us. I only stopped laughing for a second as I saw the stunned looks on them and burst out in laughter again. I smiled I had finally found my family and my home.
