Jet Cannon

I came here to read awesome stories, post mediocre ones, and chew gum. And I'm all out of gum. Well, actually, I never had any gum in the first place, but you get the idea.

16/6/20 EDIT: Cancelled. I don't have any more idea of where this is going than I did all those years ago. May or may not revisit.

No biggie. Just trying to chat up the living embodiment of the sun. What could go wrong?

Twilight has finally gathered the courage to confess herself to the stallion she loves, the stallion who is ultimately responsible for every good thing to come her way in life.

Now if only it were simple to do so.

Partially R63 alternate universe, most things are the same otherwise (like, basically everything!).
Cover is a cropped version of this picture right here.
Mention should also go to Bud Grazer for running his eyes over it before I published.

21/12/15: Chapter 1 has been edited a little, in line with hopefully adding in a Chapter 2 soon!

After Trenderhoof leaves Ponyville, Rarity and Applejack have a little talk over some drinks.

A little something that's been sitting around, mostly finished, ever since Simple Ways aired. I'm slow, ok?

Editing/proofreading/making it not suck done by Silent Tortoise.

Cover image produced by myself from stock imagery nicked off found on the MLP:FiM wiki.

EDIT: Come the revolutiontime when I get back to this, I'll be updating several aspects of it, including the amateurish description.
2ND EDIT: I shall not be continuing this, but rather incorporating it into another story.

Adam Jack Smith is your average Southern farmer, not much else to say. Quite handsome in a rugged way, perhaps, and maybe with more than the usual amount of emphasis placed upon honesty at all times. But nothing bad.

And then a young woman falls into his life from a cloud. Odd.
She looks and behaves very much like a female version of himself. Also odd.
She claims to be a pony where she came from. Well that just takes the apple cookie.

At first glance, Lilac Dreams seems to have it pretty good: youth, wealth, a loving family, good looks, a great body, a beautiful lilac coat and the legendary rainbow-coloured mane and tail only granted to a few Pegasi. Unfortunately, two major problems are present in this Pegasus' life:

1. Can you even begin to imagine what being called "Lilac" does for a stallion's street cred?
2.If he flies for too long he gets cranium-rending headaches that cause him to lose consciousness.

To help with his problem (the second one, nopony can help him with the first) he travels to Ponyville to seek the aid of the famous Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia herself, and her friend Rainbow Dash, the best young flier in Equestria.

What's that I hear you cry? "Shenanigans"? But how? It's not as if both mares are very beautiful and he finds himself attracted to each of them. Honest. That would just be silly, right?

Apple Bloom's parents died years ago in an accident, when she was only a baby. That's what Applejack and Big Macintosh have always told her, and even though they must have suffered a great deal they still managed to raise her properly and give her all the love her parents couldn't.

But her brother and sister have been hiding a secret, through shame, ever since their parents' deaths, and now the time has finally come to tell Apple Bloom who she really is. But how will the youngest Apple react to what really happened? Can their family bonds survive the truth?

(Credit to the author known as Somber, who wrote the fantastic "Simply Rarity", for the inspiration for some minor details about Sweetie Belle's family history.)

Author's Note, added 17/3/2013: Do NOT read this, it is crap. Unless you want an example of how NOT to write stories, complete with a Gary Stu for good measure, then go right ahead!

When the Mane 6 set out their picnic that beautiful summer’s day, they had no idea it would be interrupted by a stallion crashing headfirst into it from the sky above. Or that this stallion would be an alicorn. Or be quite so handsome. Or have no cutie mark whatsoever, despite being fully grown.

This is all well and good, but why is he here? Why, despite his apparent perfection, do the six friends begin to feel more and more uneasy around him? And are his reasons for spending so much time around them all purely innocent?
