Every time Twilight Sparkle tries to read something, headaches come. Cringes worthy of speaking twist her mind. They are an absolute torture for her because she can't do anything against them. She can't study, she can't read and worst of all, she can't prepare for anything princess Celestia will be throwing at her.

Spike is having more than enough of it all and makes the wise decision to call in help from the outside. But the problem is, that there are only rumors of something called 'a shattering of minds'. Though one mind in the land, knows exactly what it is. Twilight's mentor, princess Celestia of Equestria.

Is the unicorn able to save herself, or is her knowledge her too dear?

A story written in a day (next to everything else) for one of my, friend Twilight Sparkle. This story was just because I wanted to do something for her, given how she has done so much for me, I thought of returning the favor. Again, not a major story, but more a gift for a wonderful friend.

What is the story of the princess of the moon after her return to the kingdom? Was everything rose scent and moonshine as assumed? Or was it a harder way? Time can and will change everypony for certain, that's no lie.

Yet that raises the question for the mighty alicorn. A question that she had been asking herself for a long time. The question of: what can you do, when your other side is the side you need the most?

The hat of Applejack is known by many. It makes the mare who she is, it really makes Applejack, Applejack. But how she got the hat is a question where few know the answer on. One day, Apple Bloom can't hold her curiosity any longer and just asks the simple question, 'How did you got your hat?'.

An idea born when a friend of mine gave me a link leading to the cover image, on which a big part of the story is based on. I just sat down for an hour and just wrote the story down, after some editing it was to my liking and, there it was.

The most impressive engineer in the rainbow factory was doctor Atmosphere himself. He was also head of the weather department in Cloudsdale. What he also knows, is that his clock is ticking and nearing its end. Though his life had been nothing but bloodshed and tortures. He knows his soul is tainted if not destroyed. In one last, desperate, attempt to clean his soul, he writes down all of his actions in a memoir. The truth and the brains behind the place of horrors, shall be revealed through his final, written words.

Shooting Star Dash -prideful daughter of Rainbow Dash and Soarin'- studies day and night in order to pass her test at the Weather School. All in order to see to which weather-factory she goes to. When she gets the results of her test however, she is devastated. The young mare has to go to the worst factory of them all. The very place where the heaviest storms of Equestria are made, the dreaded Storm Factory.

Trixie Lulamoon suffers from a horrible dream which satisfy her darker desires at one of the highest costs there can be paid in ones life. Follow the mare as she dreams the horrible dream.

Dreams are supposed to be happy and such, but some just drive one to the edge of madness and even beyond. Nopony should be suffering them. But with the fuel for the fire present, it can only rage until all is consumed.

Nopony knows where magic really originates from. It is one of the best hidden secrets of Equestria. The truth is, magic is made in a facility like any other thing. Though magic comes from a death factory. It's a thing that Sweetie Belle will find out, if she fails her test to see if she is being a true-unicorn. The mysterious facility itself, is operated by three all to familiar ponies.

But she isn't alone in the horrors of the place. The sister if another familiar pony also happened to be taking those very same tests. Teamed up together, they set everything on everything to make it out. Alive.
