This story is a sequel to Where Do Foals Come From?
The life of a Changeling isn't one to call lovely. Living in a family like this, changed that. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy loved their daughter with all their heart. The last thing their daughter wanted was for that to change.
Because of that, she vowed that she would never change back. She would forever be their loving daughter. And as long as they continued to love her like a true family would, she could keep her form.
But how long will it really last? Would she have to change back if they ever found out? Questions like that kept lingering in her mind. And every time they did, she would smile them off. Until then, loving her family was all that mattered.

Very nice first chapter. I do hope that Rainbow and Fluttershy will be understanding when they learn Miley's secret.
As for your question, the chapter was very well written. The only error I see is that you forgot to put a space between two sentences at the beginning of the chapter.

The story so far was not bad, but I still have a little bit trouble to really get into it, at least as much as I usually do with my "favourite" storys.
7634186 Rainbow and Fluttershy only saw her Cutie Mark once during that time. Only the broken heart registered in Fluttershy's mind, so that's why she thought that, but Rainbow Dash noticed the bandage and believed something else.
Now that they see her again, all they see is the broken Cutie Mark now. Even though, well to them, it proves that Fluttershy's initial take on the Cutie Mark was right, she no longer wants to believe that, because she doesn't wish the worst for her daughter.
Mean while, Rainbow Dash's mind is still making her believe that she saw it right.

Not sure what is my problem right now, maybe the weird moment they did it, when they had the problem with their child, or that Fluttershy was displayed so innocent right now, and it looks like she got some kind of Chrashcourse in love only for the sake of it.
I mean I like Fluttershy, I like Rainbow Dash in 85 % of the storys, so I think it has to be the situation.
Okay now what I'm saying next isn't because of that one scene that didn't exactly worked out for me this time.
The story was not bad, but if I remember it right in nearly every chapter was something missing for me, it didn't felt perfect at least.
It was a good read, but I can't really say that it was one of my favourites, however I don't want to appear mean because I'm trying to give an honest answer.

It looked like she was waiting for them, I could never take anything to seriously and they seems to really show that they cared for her. Well there was one moment where they were shocked, but that was kind of obvious since a lie was revealed.

I wanted the story to explain the differences that changelings feel with love, without it deriving from being PG. So yeah, if it's difficult to understand, then it looks like I did it right. It was meant to be confusing unless you look really deep into it.
If you can explain those, I would love to hear them. I want to be able to improve my stories with enough detail without it being too much/unrelated.

Boy... Everyone sure loves the happy ending far better than the tragic one. Is it because they really liked Miley? Or is it because of something else?
7762535 Guess it is a little bit the feeling the reader build up for the character and also the satisfaction that everything turned out good at the end.
Don`t misunderstand me, sad endings are sometimes also really good and often more intense, but they are just not as satisfying for me the most of the time than the happy ones. And in this Story, in my opinion the sad ending was just not really fitting, i mean she lived so long with them, and didn`t harm anyone except for this one day, they gave her already the love freely even if she didn`t understand that really and were more or less a happy family. Her sacrifice for her family was more or less in vain because she had never really harmed anyone by being a changeling in the first place. In the end only both parties were more or less unhappy with the outcome it wasn`t that much of a really sacrifice to save the family, more a not really needed overreaction, and I could not really think she would then stay her whole live just away from them only because of this impulsive behaviour.
Oh boy hope that was understandable, I am not a native speaker and sometimes my Sentences are not the best i fear

I won't read the alternate ending (never much cared for them). I just wish to say a few things;
That ending was stunning. To call it 'bittersweet' would not do it justice; i actually had a tear in my eye. Why doesn't this have more likes? Do not touble yourself too much on our reactions; follow that muse of yours instead.

I think the reason why it doesn't have more likes is for 2 reasons.
A. Since it's a sequel, only people who have read the first story will want to read this one. So that limits the attention that it would get.
B. I guess people just don't like stories that have a bad/bittersweet ending.
