Despite the fact that "not having to choose" would be considered a cop-out, I am quite happy with it. There was a large amount of time and effort spent on developing each relationship that I figured either it would be harem ending or X-Light and Y-Z eventual pairing. It was a fun story.

The only thing, I think, would've been more time spent on making the decision, to make the harem ending more natural. As it stands, it feels a bit too easy.

Harem ending? Harem ending. It was really the only way to end it without it being heartbreaking, instead of heartwarming.

Now then, using my limited knowledge of how betting pools work...it also seems that Twilight just made three mares very happy, and a fourth reasonably happy and fairly wealthy.

I kinda thought you were going to go Cheerilight on us from all the implications and that I would lose my house-BITS on this bet. But this ending pleases me and I am REALLY happy to hear that there's going to be more Props on a good story and a good read!

I must say, while rooting for Spitfire and Twilight, this ending really pleases me. I can see the effort you put into making this, not only a harem ending, but making is a believably good one. I tip my hat to you, as no other romance works I have read have managed to do what you have done. Honestly, this is just awesome. I don't really care what other readers think. Back on topic, I'm happy with the ending. For a moment in the beginning, I had wondered about Twilight picking nopony, but then I realized that that's not a happy ending, and this needed one. I kept figuring that with the little writing left, it was moving forward toward the 'harem' idea, and the dreamscape pretty much sealed it. And, like I said, I'm happy with the end result. It might be considered the cheap way out, but... At this point, like I said a long time ago, you built it up so well, that even if I preferred Cheerilight over the others, it still would've felt off if she had just picked one.

While I'm interested in all the other stories you mentioned, I think the sequel is the one that grabs my attention the most, for somewhat obvious reasons.

I loved this story all the way through... until now. Harem ending feels like a cop-out; 20 chapters of prep and now she doesn't have to make the tough decision? Too bad the tag list doesn't have a "Tenchi Ending inbound" option. Last chapter clop seems excessive and over the top - should have been an alternate chapter, side story (honeymoon?), bonus DLC, whatever. I'm keeping my rating where it is for now, and still tracking this, in the increasingly dim hope of an Alternate Ending chapter closer to your original idea.

While i'm sure you know by now i was rooting for twifire, I'm still pleased with how this solution turned out. at first i was (admittedly) a tad disappointed, but the more i think about it the more sense it makes to have this harem ending. To simply leave two out in the cold would have felt weird at this point.
And so i stand by what i said, while the ending may not have been what i was hoping for, it's still a damn fine ending! i support it and eagerly await the many many sequels we will force you to write!

Aw not really sure i like the ending.. though it is well written and quite good, it just feels a bit too.. pat, or anticlimactic(climax pun not intended). I feel like it would have definitely been better with one mare winning, and the other two ending up shipping together, as it has seemed increasingly plausible could happen....

Anyways, the ending both makes me happy for the conclusion of the story....even if it does seem like a bit of a let down after all the tension and buildup to a choice that never happens... and kind of sad that we won't see some of the other possible endings and the drama involved.....

Any chance of short alternate endings with different choices? or perhaps even a drama filled sequel?

Thank you for taking this this ending. So many people, readers and writers alike, discount it as the "easy" way out. Speaking from experience, it's anything but. Polyamoury is rare, and frequently misunderstood. There's a lot of trust and love involved, so many people fail to understand that.

heh, no not too obvious, just apparent enough to someone who's read as much as I have. In a story like this, you can look at the writing styles, the portrayal of the characters, and their interactions with the protagonist; most writers just can't help themselves, they'll throw in subtle clues, seem to favor one over the others. You however, kept them so even in the way you wrote, that it started to show that you had come to love all three and so I knew, so would Twilight .
