Fuck. Yes.

P.S. you missed a qutation mark at: She pushed the glasses up and steepled her hooves before her face, leaning her elbows on the desk. The... incident last week has brought to my attention how lacking security for Twilight has been. We need... we need other avenues of communication should a similar situation arise again.”

I too wonder how many foals the herd will ultimately have. With Twilight's OCD I could see them all "take turns," being mother or father to each others foals so they all experience the discomfort of pregnancy a "fair and equal," number of times. Mathematically that results in 12 foals, 20 if Plain Sight or Celestia joins the herd, 30 if they both do. (Yes, I know Celestia says she can't bear foals. Do you honestly believe Twilight "Magic" Sparkle wont be able to work around that?)

Commence read.

Glad to see it continue.

Grandfoals...they want them.

Hoo boy! This looks like fun! Should give it a good look-through though cause there a bunches of tiny mistakes like extra words, missing words, wrong words, or missing punctuation (most notably quotation marks).

Also, dat sonnet. Plain Sight, you creeper, you! Extra points to Gryffindor for having a creeper!

Honestly, I could do without Plain Sight. You have enough going on with Twilight and her herd. Then again am I biased and want to keep the feel of the first story in the series. Let the RomCom continue.

Twilight needs to hurry up and get those buns in the oven. That's all her job is. She is the stallion of the herd. Just sit down. Shut up. Look pretty. And get those mares knocked up.

So.
Freaking.
AWESOME.

Been desperately waiting to see how her parents take it.
And the whole thing with Cheers Mom :rainbowlaugh:

:facehoof: Not an auspicious start...
2237816
Now, did you mean one foal per mare, or one foal for Trixie, Spitfire and Cheerilee, and one foal from each of them for Twilight, or did you mean one foal for each of them from each of them? :twilightoops:
2237853
Parents. It's what they do. :ajsmug:
2237905
Tankyew.
2237938
I think they threw away the knob as being too limiting. :rainbowderp:
2237939
Extra words? MISSING words? WRONG WORDS? MISSING PUNCTUATION?

2237951
It's just a little... well, you'll see. :raritywink:
2237981
New guard? If you mean the one filling in for Plain Sight, it's just one of her subordinates. Otherwise, I'm not sure of whom you're speaking. :rainbowhuh:
2237989
Just wait until the parents get together! :pinkiecrazy:

2238050 I am wondering if Plain Sight will be welcomed in or not. She wants it, that's for sure. Celestia too! She wants the D, too! Or is it the TD? Definitely the T-D

I've really enjoyed this series so far and am happy to see its continuation. I'm really interested to see what happens with the foal based upon your hints in the last story and the description. Not much to say yet, but I can't wait to see where you take this.

2237938

Wait, now I remember. The same thing happens in Literary Appeal. Cheery's mom hooked up with Twilight's mom in college.

Instant fave and upvote and I've not even read it yet. Now, commence read!

EDIT:And it was completely AWESOME! Just the right bit of humor and seriousness. And don't you DARE leave Plain Sight out of this. I will hit you in your sleep if you do!

Damn this story is 646 ways of perfect.

Twi's family was great to finally see all together, Twi's dad taking it like a bawss, Twi's mom naturally being concerned but ultimately being there for her daughter, Cadence also calling Twi Twiley, and of course attempting to alleviate her husband's concerns, and Shining being well... Shining.

Got to wonder though how many foals Twi plans to have, it seems going by Twi's mom's history with Vintage that the Sparkle family mares have an unstoppable pheromone that drives other fillies crazy. Basically all the fillies born in Ponyville for the next five years will already belong to at least one member of the Twi Harem Progeny later down the road.

As for Plain Sight I say there's plenty of room for her in the Herd.

Happy to see that we're heading forward and this story is just amazing.

I like where this is going.

Instafave, will read later. I hope this one goes back in the direction of the first.

Obligatory image reference.

Interesting story, Twilight's interactions with her Dad seemed a little OoC, like, a little too- Daddy's girl I see, but her age and IQ drops about a quadrillion points. I see her more acting with feigned dignity and straight-faced syrupy sweetness than outright-

Whining. Yeah.

I'm curious, are the prequels required reading? I'd like to read this, but I don't want to spend time reading 170,000 words before it.

2238050

You established that their love for each other is growing and will one day rival their love for Twilight. Stands to reason that they might want foals with each other and not just her. So they'd each take a turn being a father 3 times and a mom 3 times for 4 X 3 = 12. That's a lot of kids but if they adopted the policy that all of them are their kids and that the biological parents are irrelevant and split the parenting duties equally I think it would work out. Especially since Ponyville has the close knit "village," dynamics that are perfect for raising a family and they collectively have so many friends to help out. Heh, Wonderbolt babysitters are go!

On a different note while details are lacking this "Herd Law," sounds like an emergency measure for times of population crash. If they get together under it they might well be required to have as many foals as possible.

2238081
Not sayin'. :ajsmug:
2238104
It'll likely be a few chappies before the foal shows up. :twilightsheepish:
2238110 2238134
I knew that plot point sounded familiar when I wrote it... Any similarity to other stories is purely the result of my brainfart. :facehoof:
2238173
Gun is already under my pillow. :rainbowderp:
2238226
As of this moment, the plan is one foal until the dust settles. Afterwards... :raritywink:
2238572
They threw away the knob that goes to 11. It didn't go high enough. :unsuresweetie:
2238839 2239411
Glad you like it.
2238913
Well, I'm planning on it being a lot less action-y and more rom-com, but my muse has been known to hijack my brain. :derpytongue2:
2239127
That's what I was going for, but she was taken off-guard by his comment. She should be more like herself in future, provided he doesn't blindside her again. :twilightblush:
2239376
They're not required, but it will help to know just what the heck is going on. I personally, would recommend reading the others first, but "A Roll in the Hay" could be skipped if you really want.
2239425
Heh. You just gave me a brilliant idea for a future chapter.
Concerning the herd law thing, it's a holdover from the time when ponies roamed around in herds. There may be a provision about birth rates appended to it, but for the most part, it's just an easy way for many who are in love to get together. :duck:

And... it begins once again. Let's see where you go with this one.

I absolutely adore family awkwardness with Twilight and there are scores of it in this, you also write it amazingly.

New Wrabbit story today? AW YEAH! How did you know it was my birthday? :ajsmug: Better get reading. :pinkiehappy:

After reading that title, all I can think of is this.

Great song.

Whoa, this was opportune for me. I just started to read the first story when i saw the second one being featured, and i finished reading the second one just a day before you posted this one. I am enjoying this whole story more than i thought i will. Thumb up and faved, all three of them :pinkiehappy:

And so we start the third part of this, so far, amazing story! Love it!:pinkiehappy:

Another TSW sequel? *insta-fave, insta-read*

Looking good so far, I'll save a full comment response until we get more into it. Though nice work there Night Light, stealing Velvet from a mare names 'Vintage'.

Le me: Hmm, this story looks, wait, is a continuation from....we'll i guess i have to read that first.
clicks link.
Okay so lets get, ...wait, is a continuation form,....... FUCK now i have to read two whole seasons the get where i want.

Alrighty then. A new story!
I do have a question though. If there was actually no sperm involved, then how did Cheery get preggers? No matter how much in heat they were, without any sperm at all, that should not have been possible. :rainbowhuh:

Oh well, doesn't matter really. What matters is NEW STORY! Plain Sight! Pining! Twi-family! Night Light is awesome!
I may be drunk right now! //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Twilight_Sparkle_lolface.png

Happy birthday! Also, 5 hours to read 5,000 words? Seems legit. :rainbowwild:

Finally! Someone got it! I was getting a little worried that my taste in music is getting dated. :derpytongue2:

Think of it this way; you have lots or reading to keep you occupied! And like Twilight says, reading = happiness!
2241691
Oooo... good catch. I was wondering if anyone would notice that. There's actually two reasons for that... which I will tell you now if you tell me how you got your Greasemonkey attachment to work again. :rainbowderp:

2241916 Hardly any Juice Newton fans around these days.

Great taste in music my friend. +10 awesome points for you.

2241916
I ended up having to leave the house for 5 hours halfway through. :twilightsheepish:

Anyway, Iloveportalz0r released an update, that got the greasemonkey attachment to work again. Although you have to hit refresh to get the drop boxes to go away after posting.
Image Fixer
Enhancements
It says it's version 10, but according to greasemonkey I am running 12, so....

2241980
Right back atcha. :ajsmug:
2242074
Still not working for me. I tried to reinstall it and everything. I miss my Lyradealwithit... :fluttercry:

2242148
Hmm. The icons aren't there anymore at all? The version of FiM enhancements, does Greasemonkey show it as version 10?

I loved it all! I can tell this is going to be just as good!

Spent all day reading the first two parts of this series. Glad I did, and glad I found something as interesting as this series to read.

I think Plain Sight should get a bit more time in the spotlight. it just seems kinda wrong to almost ignore such an essential part of twilights life. plus, i think it'd be freaking amazing if she wound up joining twilights love herd at some point! call me crazy if you wish, but i'm entitled to my opinion! oh, and sweet cover!

2242726 Sounds right to me.:pinkiehappy:

Also feel I should mention, that cover picture gives me diabetes every time I see it. And I agree with everyone else: Plain Sight needs more screen time! And I sure as heck wont complain if she joins the Herd too!

plain sight's report... HAHAHA!!!! :rainbowlaugh: and shinning was able to repeat that aloud?!?

Just about lost it at "Sparkle Maneuver."

Nice start, I really liked the playfulness of the visit with Twilight's parents, and their understanding of her feelings was great. They're good parents and you portrayed them well, making this a promising beginning.

Some alarms raised in my mind, though. Unlike most, I'm really hoping Plain Sight takes a back seat here and the story revolve around the canon characters. OCs interacting with the main cast is a tricky enough prospect as is, and in my opinion they should never be more than facilitators of the plot, moving things forward to challenge the canon characters. Plain Sight is interesting, but I preferred her in the first story where she was the shadow guardian. Her attraction to Twilight came out of nowhere for me, and kind of distracted me from the more interesting dynamics of the forming herd.

Sorry if this is sounding preachy, but OC romance is a bad idea when you've already got such focus on the other characters. Telling a good story is about focusing on the most significant parts and making sure every element works in harmony with the rest. Often, that means cutting a really good idea that you love for the sake of improving the story as a whole -- I cut 6000 words from the last chapter of Composure because it made things drag on too long, and recently I restructured the entire future story and discarded a truckload of ideas in order to get the story done.

Thinking on it, it'd probably be more compelling for Plain Sight not to become part of the herd, a note of bittersweet could-have-been catching readers by surprise.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts and recommendations. In my experience, canon characters are always more interesting than OCs, and unless the story is explicitly focused on an OC, they should be functionally no more than servants to the canon cast's arc and narrative.

I look forward to the next.

A giant massive orgy.

Okay, this type of stories better be the featured one-shot clopfics or top it... please...

I love the story :pinkiehappy: can't wait for the update. :twilightblush: I think I like Plain Sight and I wouldn't mind if she somehow got in but I do understand Varanus comes from  To make Plain Sight work into the herd will be tricky and very hard so you don't distract the readers from the main characters :pinkiesad2: If you don't do it right it can be detrimental to the story you are telling. I do want to see more scenes with Plain Sight though but not too many :twilightblush: Maybe a side story just build around her cause I'm interested in seeing how her life was. She seems she would be a good character for her own story which says a lot. :twilightsheepish: You know you have a well thought out background character if people could get emotionally attached to the point of that character could easily be used as a main for another story :twilightblush: I want MOAR :flutterrage: soon.

Oh, I am a lucky guy. Just finished reading TSW and IWDAFL a few days ago, and now this arrives! Such impeccable timing! And let me just say: FUCK. YES. Le instant fav.

Loved it. The whole awkward family scene was amusing and heartwarming. Although, I found Twilight's approach to be a bit blunt and surprisingly tactless. I mean, this is Twilight we're talking about. But whatever. Can't wait to see where you go with this. Oh and yes, please do more Plain Sight. I really like her, and now her issues could easily be woven into the storyline as an interesting addition to the chaos I'm sure you already have planned.

...Side fic. Detailing roller skates incident. NOW.

2239376 Oh, but you actually really do want to read those 170,000 words. You will not regret it.

2242883 2243257
Thank you. Took me most of a week to finish it.
2243480
Well, he had to reword it before turning it in to Celestia. Can't have a love letter to Twilight's booty making it to her desk. Her life's weird enough as is. :trollestia:
2243531
It involves 2 ladders, an umbrella, 13 wet chickens, and an egg whisk. :rainbowhuh:
2243647
I'm thinking of addressing Plain Sight in a blog post, since she's become so popular and everyone and their brother seems to clamoring for her inclusion. In fact, I will... tomorrow. It's late right now, and my bed is calling to me. Also, do you ever consider putting up the stuff you cut out as bonus material? //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Octavia.png
2243828
Well, the only orgies I have planned are between Twilight and her herdwives. //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Twilight_crazy.png
2244319
She has become one of my favorite OCs, so don't be too shocked if I give her a side story all her own. //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Cloudchaser_dealwithit.png
2246088
I'm afraid the roller skate thing will likely remain a Noodle Incident. //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Lyra_ooh.png

Wooooooooo it's here! Excellent start, I love what this series has evolved into. Really enjoyed the way Twi's parents were characterized, it just seemed to click perfectly. The scene with Plain Sight..........was great, I'm glad you decided to keep it. As you said the story may not be about her but she's become so much more than just an OC from the shadows you can't just let her fall by the wayside. Plus she helps add another perspective for the overall story to follow, hopefully making it longer.:pinkiehappy: I'm selfish I know it but it's not my fault, this series is just so good!!

2248475
I'm considering that just now. I've over 6000 words cut from the last chapter that could serve as a nice side story to Composure, heh.

Okay, that report of plain sight? it was unprofessional and out of character if I may say so. That's absolutely NOT something to send to your Boss, another pony and least of all her Brother. Also either Shining Armor read that from somewhere or made it up completely. Have him pull out a scroll from a filing cabinet drawer or something.
