There's these tiny brown ones barely a few milimetres in size, that I forget the proper name of, that I know as 'money spiders'. They're cute.
Angle-man spiders, summer-time nocturnal ones that build their webs at dusk and take it apart again at dawn.
Golden Orb spiders, summer-time spiders that spin silk of a beautiful golden colour and is officially the current strongest recorded spider silk in the world. Venomous and freak the everloving shit outta me when I spot them, but they leave me alone, so I leave them alone.
Beyond them I loathe spiders. White-tails, Redbacks and Huntsmans are the mot common around where I live, aside from the others I mentioned. Thank fuck my area doen't get Funnel-webs.
And just to clarify, my hatred for spiders comes from my older sister putting spiders on me when we were little. I never had full arachnophobia, because scorpions never bothered me, and I worked past being afraid of spiders when I was fourteen.

I know she is a spider, many eyes, fangs, legs... basically the whole shebang, but is she centaur-like, half human, half spider in appearance? Or does she look like an anthro ant. Your driders cant be "Forgotten Realms"(AD&D) driders. R.A. Salvatore has them in some of his (her?) Books. In the novels (s)he explains them as being made using a drow (alive or dead) by a priestess of the Spider Queen, Lolth. They are discribed as the bloated upper half (head, torso and arms) of a drow elf, and the abdomen, thorax and legs of a giant spider, fused together in an unholy union. Salvatore also describes them as mindless beasts that attack anything alive that is neither a drow female, nor another drider.
Lolth is one of the realm's evil deities.
