It's a sci-fi book by Orson Scott Card. One of the characters, named Bean, was a genetically engineered Embryo to be one of the world's smartest people. The modifications worked too well, leading to him crawling out of the crib he was in and hiding in a toilet during a raid of the illegal operation center, during which all the other experiments either failed or were killed.
Bean himself later helped Earth utterly destroy an enemy, but he never stopped growing. Then again, he grew slowly, being a tiny bean (hence the name) in Battleschool (middle school age kids being trained to be the world's top soldiers and generals), and later being a gigantic human so large that he is unable to live under Earth's gravitational surface energy.

I'd suggest reading it. The new movie does not do the book justice. (not quite as bad as the Eragon movie, but close). I'd start with Ender's Game, then Ender's Shadow, then Speaker of the Dead. There are quite a few books in the Enderverse, The Shadow saga following Bean, the Ender saga following Ender, etc.
Though it is written in a very complex manner.
Gave it a shot, didn't like it.

3817667 Holy crap, I didn't even know that Ender's Game had sequels. The first book was interesting, I have to get the other ones.
Like and fav even if I am not familiar with the setting. Mind someone tell me why mares have so big hots for humans? Or rather "humans" since they are animals from what I see....or really primitive humans.
I certainly don't like Prometheus. Crying and becoming "wet" at the same time? Someone here is quite mad. Her love for a human is showed in an interesting way, making him killing other for money...
It's an interesting start, how will the story progress I wonder? I'll fave this for now and continue to read it, definitely a more interesting start than a few of the other Your Human and You or Human in Equestria stories. A story about a human from this world, rather than a human from another universe. Not that I don't like those kind of stories, just refreshing getting a story based on a human in this universe. Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading more.
aw man. between the title, the description of "the next stage of humanity" and the sudden rapid growth coupled with that "thump thump" footsteps thing, i was expecting him to rapidly become something more like this

I'm honestly hoping that those tags are mis-used.
Dark - Story deals with dark themes or has a grim storyline.
-- Slavery, pit fights, violence and carnage... yup, this one's covered.
Sad - Story has a sad or depressing feel throughout.
-- While Dr. P lost her first human and is a bit deranged; so far the story hasn't warranted this tag yet. If more deaths occur or the story takes a morose or bittersweet tone then it fits.
Tragedy - Story ends in tragedy. The hero dies, the villain wins, and the good guys fail.
-- This one I'm hoping is wrong. For a story to be sad, dark, and tragic things have to start off bad, get worse over time, then finally end with them never getting better.

Dooples kinda reminds me of the Spartan 2's from the HALO series, especially John sense Dooples is kinda acting more like a machine than human. Just writing out what I thought. I'll be watching.

Go look up Your Human and You. Or go to the group page. MadMax's story is the original (I highly recommend reading it, it's worth it. Just take the first few chapters with a grain of salt. MadMax wasn't the best writer at that point)
