I like the concept, but it's a bit hard to read due to the technical errors, I think. Letting any decent editor have a go at it would do it a world of good.

This story deserves more thumbs up than it already has. In my opinion, this story is really good… even though Spike sacrificed his own life.

3667504 This story gives a great deal of feels. It has an excellent concept. It has a great execution. The dialog is amazing. And I am giving it a downvote. Because the technical aspect of this story, the grammar and the easiness of the reading, are THAT POOR. The errors, and the fact that it is VERY HARD to read, overshadows the great parts so much that it goes from a Grade A, Instant Fave, into something that makes me very sad. It has such potential, and it comes so close to reaching it, but then it just dies. I want to like this. The good parts are that good I want to love it despite its flaws. The flaws are just too much to overcome. Please, if you repost this after getting it cleaned up, send me a PM. If you can fix what is broken about this while maintaining the best of it, I will change my vote in a hoofbeat.
The start was rather confusing, but the ending, it hurt.
I've taken some time to read this, so that you had the opportunity to do some edits from the comments. I'm guessing you have because it looks and reads much better than the comments imply. There's still some errors, but a very interesting and well executed story. Although, I must admit that the end comes a tad fast.

Six years later. Buried beneath a pile I swear never gets any smaller. But it has been found again, and the edits make it a work more than worth a complete reversal of my previous downvote. Everything I liked remains, and the technical errors are gone completely. Wonderful work for both you and your editor.
