I love the part of the last fight of the SPARTAN against the Flood and the reaction of those on the other side of the portal, the feelings are really well showed.

Sorry this particular misconception really bothers me.
The springloaded box the holds bullets and feeds a gun is called a magazine.
Some guns actauly use clips. They are literally just clips that hold a certain number of bullets.
Revolvers have a "Cylinder"
Some Shotguns have a Magazine tube directly underneath the barrel. Others can be fed by box magazines.
Knowledge to the face.
I actually really enjoy the story though. Keep up the good work, I only wish to help you make your story better.
3423336 thanks for the info and I was thinking of the shotgun from metro and fallouts weaponry. but I honestly didn't know whether a revolver had a clip or not I knew for sure it wasn't a mag, but thanks for helping me with those and not insulting me

2000 words should never be the norm for a story. It's acceptable for the first few chapters, but after that chapters should be longer.

any AOE weapon, preferably a shotgun (any halo) due to it's high damage capability. fully automatics work ok-ish but hold back in punch and the exchange of damage-range is unequal, leading to spending about 1/2 a mag on a single infected! other UNSC weapons I would use are the Magnum (M6D or M6H), DMR (M395), SAW (M739), or Railgun (ARC-920)
as for covenant weaponry my preference is a Plasma Repeater, Plasma Rifle, Brute Mauler, Carbine, or, everyone's favourite, the Needler!
