All is not to remain that way; the return of the Windigoes ancient magic cracked the boundaries of reality, allowing an ancient force to return, one that challenges the very foundations of the world of Equus and all it is built upon.

Faced with a new foe unlike any they have faced, and one able to absorb even the greatest of magic turned against them, Twilight and her friends embark on a desperate quest to a land that was myth even in Star Swirl's time, in the hope of finding a way to save their nation, and their world. At the same time, their friends, allies, and relatives work at home to try and survive, and hope that Twilight and her friends have something to return to.
The journey will take them further than any of them believe, and at the end, more will have changed than any of them could imagine.

Slight AU set after the end of Season 9; AU aspects only relate to some minor backstories for a villain, and my own interpretations and ideas on how magic works in Equestria, and that Equestria is one nation on a world of many, as well as Equestria having armed forces - of a sort.
The story is an adventure piece, with sci-fi elements, bloody and grim warfare, and - eventually - tech in Equestria, including mecha. Caution for occasional bad language and acknowledgement of adult themes.
While it isn't set after The Last Problem it does hint towards that being an outcome in numerous places.

The last few weeks have not been easy.

I'd finally been able to move out of the home I've been living in in the area i've been living in for pretty much my whole life.

The move, setting things up and adapting to my new home's differences and the new location had not been easy.

Still, I'd gladly take that stress over what I'm stuck with now. One moment I'm walking through the city to head back to the house and the next I'm Cozy Glow, hovering between a buffed up Tirek and mutated Chrysalis and it looks like the Rainboom Laser of Death is headed our way.

Oh, and, before we switched places, Cozy somehow became and Alicorn.

What the fuck is going on?!

Was inspired to write this after reading My Life As A Psychopathic Nine Year Old Filly and thought I'd give it a shot, as writing a character stuck as Cozy Glow and dealing with the aftermath of all her shit, especially the finale, would be funny

Two mares, the beloved daughter of a witch, who was raised and bred to do evil deeds and selfish acts, while the other, the mistreated stepdaughter of the dark lady, treats all who she beholds with kindness and care. When the king of their land desires for the pure hearted mare to be his wife, as she looks in every aspect like his later spouse, he sends her brother for her. But the happy ending doesn't come as easily as in most tales of love and truth...

I found this fairytale called "The White Bride and The Dark One" (Changed 'Black One' to 'Dark One' so no one would be offended.) I do hope you enjoy this because it's going to be much longer then the others I've made.

And the cover was made by my very talented and fantastic friend, Jade Crossroads, who is my best friend and most importantly, the most creative and wonderful artist on this sight in my perspective!

After being stood up on Hearts and Hooves Day, Rarity's evening is rather lonely. Perhaps a friend could brighten it up.
