She suffered self-doubt in the face of uncertainty during the Battle of the Bands, but in the end finally proved herself.
Now that Sunset has been forgiven, she has to get used to her new status at Canterlot High...

This part is a nice gem for me. Because it is Maud being nice to Sunset...in a very Maud way. Good story.
Actually, this is much better justification in canon for Wallflower's actions: stringing her along and breaking her heart was a pretty shitty thing to do.
