In the wake of Celestia's return to Equus, the ponies have worked tirelessly to prepare for the arrival of the Ascended. Defenses have been set up, weapons prepared, allies warned, but most important of all in the minds of both Diarchs, a cure for the Indoctrination has been pursued.

The Ascended, or the Reapers as they are known to the rest of the galaxy, are not amused. They attack in force, unwilling to stand by and let this small, barely space-worthy race of unascended quadrupeds neutralize their most effective weapon in their march towards galactic cleansing.

Now they too shall learn to fear the dark, and the Princess who controls it.

It's been a long day for the Timberwolf pups, but now it's time to go to bed. Only one little problem they aren't sleepy, but that's okay The Pack Mother AKA mommy has a simple solution. A little lullaby for her precious little Timberwolf puppies.

Once upon a time there were three filly sisters. They were a unicorn, a thestral and a changeling, but that was perfectly normal. They had also adopted a human for a father, which they thought was awesomely normal. Their lives seemed perfect, but their father felt there might be room for more; A mother's touch, perhaps? Enter the slightly accidental but otherwise perfect nannies, Luna, Cadence and Celestia...uh...Dark Side, Sweet Heart and Sunrise Splendour. Though the question remains; Will these three successfully infiltrate their little family and achieve their top secret mission bring the much-needed maternal touch, or will they end up a victim to the fillies' devious matchmaking schemes?

Well, it would have helped if the three nannies didn't lose their memories on their first day, for a start.

What starts off as a journey to help a dear friend quickly becomes tangled in a conflict that has been brewing since before the rise of Nightmare Moon. These are histories not archived in any marble library in Canterlot. These are stories of seafarers and inkeepers, of orphans and griffins, and of an ancient race that Equestria has long tried to ignore.

This story is a sequel to In Stitches

Eight years after the events of In Stitches Rainbow and her children along with new friends set out in search of home. Dark things wait on the road ahead and the Everfree only gets darker, soon a long lost friend will join them.

NOTE: you do not need to read the first story, although the lore will make more sense if you do.

Loneliness is a hard thing to face, and for Princess Luna it's lonely at the top. She feels shipwrecked, tossed about in an endless sea of her own sorrow. However sometimes something comes around to change all that, a tiny shimmering star to drive away the dark. And after one particularly painful fight with her sister, Luna finds that light in the form of a foal by the name of Starry Night.
