Soarin had intended to enjoy the off season with light training and a few fun trips, but a crash has left him grounded till he heals. With Fluttershy for his rescuer and caregiver he starts to appreciate being ground side a bit more that he used to.

This takes place a few months after the events of my other story "Red Fire"

"Derpy..." He knew he needed to say something, but, well...Words had never really been Thunderlane's strong suit. Taking a quick moment to think on what would be the right thing, he hunched down next to her, resting his cheek on his own forelegs as he peered at her. "I'm glad you're not part a my family."

Her muffled sob was a very clear indication that that was decidedly not what she wanted to hear.

When Rainbow Dash makes some changes to the Ponyville Weather Crew's weekly team meetings and implements a snack duty rotation, a certain clutzy pegasus finds herself with some major problems -- The main one being the fact that she can't cook to save her life.

With her scheduled snack date fast approaching, poor Derpy has no clue what do, other than fail miserably and get laughed at, as per usual.

Fortunately, it's Thunderlane to the rescue!

Fluttershy has a delicate situation. She has been fussed over by a certain stallion, yet another colt is after her as well. Soarin and Big Macintosh are competing fiercely for Fluttershy's affection. The yellow filly doesn't know what to do; the two stallions aren't consulting her for the decision, but it wouldn't matter either way, as she doesn't have a clue which stallion she'll choose.

After being rescued by Thunderlane at the Wonderbolts academy from a near fatal balloon crash, Rarity writes her savior a thank-you note. From there a new friendship blossoms and maybe something a little more. [Will contain shipping, no clop.]

Equestria has been attacked by foreign countries to the east. Celestia's sisters have been dethroned and replaced by King's seeking nothing but power. Unfortunately, Equestria is also in the line of fire. With no way to tap into the elements of harmony that have been lost forever, it all comes down to defending the front lines to the north. In this way, equestria has made it's last stand in North Everfree, the only way that the enemy can enter equestria besides cutting from the north or south. Among these brave souls is the 43rd pegasi battalion of the Royal Guard. Among the soldiers are Ace, and his newfound friends, future wonderbolts, Spitfire and Soarin, among the others is Blaze, Aqua Star, and Asteroid Run. Can these ponies survive this new threat to equestria or will they lose their land to the darkness of the kings.

“What the hell?” he muttered. “What happened? He cautiously opened his eyes again.
“Oh…”
He wasn’t in his room.
“Oh…” Soarin mumbled again, looking down at the bed beneath him.
He wasn’t in his bed.
“Oh my…” He said, his eyes snapping open as his foggy brain put two and two together.

After being discharged from the Wonderbolts and spending an interesting night with a certain rainbow-maned Pegasus, Soarin moves into a new career, Weather Control.

He has no idea what he's in for.

Soarin'. The captain of the Wonderbolts and bachelor. He is rich, good looking, and is great with the mares, but he is soon to have a new problem to deal with.

Soarin' is just your average pegasus. He lives in Cloudsdale with his grandpa and his best friend Spitfire, aspires to be a member of the esteemed flight group the Wonderbolts, and he loves pie. But all that is about to change, as a mysterious voice calls out to him to warn him of his "destiny." Whatever could that mean? Like it or not, he and his friends are going to find out.

Soarin, flyer of the Wonderbolts loves pies. He will travel the length and breadth of Equestria for one worthy of his pallet.

At the Grand Galloping Gala he noticed the Ultimate Pie, and now must go on a journey to see if he can claim it for his own.
