Twilight Sparkle is summoned to Princess Celestia's castle early one morning, via a letter stating that she is being held captive and needs Twilight's aid. However, things take a strange turn once she arrives.

(I wrote this for the April 2011 friendoff on Equestria Daily. It's not super-graphic, but I think it's enough that a teen rating sounds good. It's also slightly edited; I decided while rereading that I wasn't quite happy with one part in the middle)

After nearly a year, Trixie returns to Ponyville, but for what? Why did she put herself in harm's way to return there of all places? Does she have yet another scheme in store for the Ponyvillians?

Things haven’t exactly gone well for Trixie. Ever since the Alicorn Amulet incident she has seen her own fortunes shrink while Twilight's continues to soar. Now Twilight is an Alicorn and Trixie feels left behind. But Trixie has a plan; one Discord is all too willing to aid her in. For a price.

One year since the abrupt end of her previous tour, Trixie returns to Canterlot to begin her show anew. Despite the initial success it remains clear that she cannot forget about the mare that haunts her memories. Something which is desired and deeply examined by Princess Celestia, however the discoveries of Trixie's true feelings towards her student seek to open a path she had previously only dreamed of leading. A path she swiftly urges the willing unicorn along as she sends the showmare to Ponyville for her next stop in the tour.

One would think that the wounded Trixie would appreciate Twilight Sparkle taking her in to nurse her back to health. But for some ponies, leaning on someone else isn't so easy. Their crossing of paths sets them both on a journey that neither of them would've expected...

Trixie just wants a little attention. Male attention, in particular. However, considering her winning personality, unique charm, and social grace... physical appeal is really the only option she has left. And Trixie wouldn't be Trixie if she didn't try to fudge things a little bit in her favor.

And it wouldn't be Trixie's life if the universe didn't inexplicably conspire to ensure all of her efforts ended in failure and great personal embarrassment.

Warning: Contains breast expansion for comedic effect; humanized ponies; pervy Rainbow Dash; Twixie; an extremely juvenile sense of humor; and Trixie's endless misfortune, also for comedic effect.

This story is a sequel to Against the Wind

Twilight and Trixie raise their new foal. A rambunctious unicorn colt, whom they named Starswirl after the historical unicorn wizard. And like the mage with whom he shares his namesake, young Starswirl Sparkle seems to be destined for greatness.

CANCELLED STATUS: A lot has changed in the show since I started writing this. Trixie's return, Starlight, and Canon Starswirl that I just couldn't find a way to write around. Sorry about that.
