The ponies of Equestria have always looked to the stars for guidance—and there's a very good reason for that. Back in ancient times, when the three pony tribes first united together under the Equestrian flag, the stars weren't just their guides. They were their guardians.

They were the Zodiac, twelve immortal ponies endowed with preternatural powers reaching far beyond those of a normal stallion or mare. For centuries, they served as the first, last, and best line of defense for ponykind. But when an immensely powerful foe threatens to destroy not only the newly formed nation of Equestria, but the immutable institution of the Zodiac itself, the patron saints of the stars above have their work cut out for them. With the fate of the entire world in their hooves, aspiring Hunter Leo and the rest of her super-powered friends can't afford to fail. Luckily for the mortals down below, though, that's exactly the way they like things.

After all, those vicious beasts and demons of Hades aren't about to slay themselves.

When the princesses realize that king Sombra probably wasn't properly killed, they decide to do something about it. However, they're much too important to deal with a background villain themselves. When a threat looms over Equestria, the key to saving it is an ancient medallion that mysteriously falls into Twilight Sparkle’s possession after an earthquake.

Following its clues, the Elements of Harmony must search Equestria from north to south, east to west, in order to find seven different ponies, each of whom represent one of the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, and Pride. All seven must be brought together to activate a hidden power, the only power that can put a stop to the imminent war once and for all.

Will Twilight and her friends be able to find their Sins in time? Even if they do, will the ponies that embody each one even want to work together? Or will Equestria fall into darkness and decay at the whim of the Elements’ most dangerous and threatening adversary yet?

In her youth, Twilight Sparkle discovered a way to infuse technology and magic. 20 years after her breakthrough, she is now the CEO and founder of Sparkle Industries, and one of the wealthiest ponies in Equestria. Her relatively perfect life goes sour, however, when she is captured by a group of griffons who want to steal her technology.

Spike loses a bet to Snips and Snails. The consequence? Ask Scootaloo out on a date. But what starts off as a frivolous punishment for the baby dragon ends up becoming much more rewarding than he ever expected.

"Humans.... Quite possibly the most infuriating mythical creatures in existence. If you ever have the 'luck' to meet a Human in your travels across Equestria, then you must be careful. Humans are extremely powerful creatures, some would say more so than Celestia or Luna, they are also more unpredictable than Discord. They can help you in a tight spot if you're lucky, or play nasty tricks on you if you don't hold the Human's favor. In my time I've seen a Human give a filly pounds upon pounds of gold, and the same one turn greedy ponies into gold. The only one I ever have seen 'face-to-face' was in my earlier years, he helped me repair my wagon when it broke down in Everfree Forest, by fix I mean a whole new one appeared not ten feet away, and the only thing the Human asked for in return was a spindle.... But be warned, never anger a Human, a trick or two in fair game is fine, but if you ever manage to truly anger a Human...... you'll be part of the small number ever to meet non-existence." - Star-Swirl the Bearded.

Fluttershy now lives a lonely life, traveling East, away from Equestria. It wasn't too long ago that a thin layer of powdery snow blanketed the ground. Now it was nothing more than nourishment for the blossoming flowers sprouting up in its place. All she has keeping her company are the soothing thoughts of her old friends and the few keepsakes she could smuggle out of Ponyville. For guidance, she looks forward towards the sunrises laid out before her; the sunsets are there to remind her of shady memories and the cold embracement of night. She is far from her home in Ponyville now and the creatures here aren't as friendly as those she knew back home. It seems as if her one her one specialty, the sole thing she's retained has turned against her. Life may be hard without the guidance of her friends, but just as life will, she must continue on until she finds what she set out for.
