The newly knighted Flash Sentry has returned to his life of keeping the peace. But even that has problems as his new responsibilities as a knight, member of the friendship council, and a certain new relationship with Twilight will keep him busy. The Knight of Friendship is about to go on the wildest ride of his life yet, as he soon finds that other secrets, threats and new trials are on the horizon.

Twilight is called in by Cadance to translate some old books in the Crystal Empire's library. To Twilight's chagrin, Cadance takes the opportunity to try and put her together with Flash Sentry. Twilight is left with no choice but to confront her feelings towards the guardspony.

This story is a sequel to Love Is Patient

Princess Cadence decides to play matchmaker again; she organizes a visit to Ponyville to have a brunch with Twilight and her friends (like what Princess Celesita did when Fluttershy stole Philomena). She brings along Flash Sentry as her bodyguard, although her real intention is to hook him up with her sister-in-law.

Twilight was willing to forgive Tempest and move on. But Tempest felt she needed to face consequences for her actions against Equestria and asked the princesses to pass judgement. But her sentence wasn't anything she could have expected, and where it takes her even less so.
