Rule 34 Updates resuming June 2016

I need to take a temporary leave of absence from the Rule 34 updates. I'll be back in a couple of months and will strive to have 3 months worth of data to discuss. In the meantime, please enjoy these pictures of shaved horses:

Collaborations Everywhere / Who Am I? · 1:21am Apr 22nd, 2013

For those of you wondering where the new chapters of my stories are, rest assured that I'm working on them, but I can only do so much. Heck, considering that I work 40+ hours a week, I'm surprised I have enough time to accomplish as much as I do.

Just within the last couple of weeks, I've helped nearly a dozen different writers with their stories.

I gave The Relaxing Fiend an outline for a Discord clopfic, based on his idea. I'll link to the story once it's published.

I'm helping Gabriel LaVedier by editing the sequel to his phenomenal Iron Will makes a Porno. That story, as well as its soon to be released sequel, are some of my favorites on the site.

I've outlined and helped edit ABagOVicodin's wildly popular Dash's New Mom, which exceeded 700 likes in less than 48 hours.

CosmicWaltz knew me when I was just starting out on this site. He saw something special in my early works, most notably Taming of the Screw. I wrote that before I knew about editors or story outlines. Back then, I was just flying by the seat of my pants. CosmicWaltz has entered the picture again and wants to help improve upon Taming of the Screw. I'll be working on revisions to that story when I can, but it may be slow going at first. I just wanted to thank him for his early support of my work and say how much I appreciate his patience.

Chuckward and I are collaborating on a new grimdark Fluttershy clopfic. I provided the idea and the outline. Chuckward's handling the writing. It's going to be the stuff of nightmares, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Another Chuck, Chuckfinley, helped me outline a Zecora / Changeling clopfic. That rhying dialogue is hard enough, but when I'm juggling it with several other stories, it becomes difficult to make any substantial progress. I hope Chuckfinley will pardon me for taking so long. Rest assured that I haven't forgotten about it.

twow443 has been on a solid streak of riffing gold. He's all caught up with 120 Days of Blueblood chapter nine. You can read his riff of chapter nine here. I don't have the final chapter of 120 Days of Blueblood finished yet, but I hope to have it done by the end of the month. While twow was waiting for the final chapter to be finished, he went ahead and riffed Family Bonds by Titty Sparkles. You can read twow's riff for Family Bonds here.

And speaking of Family Bonds...

I helped TittySparkles with the idea and outline for Family Bonds. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the second chapter.

A writer who needs no introduction is Nostalgia Schmaltz. I gave him the idea for the Liquid Pride chapter of Nostalgia Schmaltz's Requests - Round 4. He enjoyed it so much that he recently released a sequel, which is just as good, if not better. You can read Liquid Pride - The Sequel here. Nostalgia Schmaltz is also working on the second chapter of Gleaming Shield's Swell Night with Prince Bolero, which I'm helping to outline and edit.

These are just my recent or current collaborations. If I go back several weeks, I also helped work on
Daring Do Meets Ilsa, She-Griffin of the SS,
The Super-Speedy Semen-Squeezy 69,000,
Animal Antics and Animal Antics 2; all of which were outlined and edited by me and written and published by Nostalgia Schmaltz.

Also Fantasy Horror, by Chuckfinley, which I helped edit.

There's a First Time for Everything, by The Abyss, which I helped edit.

And darf's gloriously-titled Pinkie Pie Sucks A Hundred Dicks, which I was a creative consultant on.

After helping so many people outline and edit their stories, I looked back on my actual writings and realized that most of my free time has been spent assisting others. It's been a very busy month of writing and editing, and yet I have very little of my own story updates to show for it.

I have a newfound respect for the work of my editor, Bluebreeze. I now see how difficult it can be to read and edit stories in a timely manner, which was a talent of his which I fear I may have not fully appreciated.

Do any other writers on this site generate so many new collaborative efforts? I'm not the only one, am I? What compels me to reach out to so many and help them create new stories?

I started giving out story ideas to people as a way to collaborate with other writers and increase our total views through cross-promotion of stories. The more story ideas I offered, the more collaborations I became involved with, until the time I spent writing my own stories began to suffer as a result.

I don't begrudge those whom I've helped edit or outline their stories. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't want to. I just don't know how many more people I can assist before I have no time left at all to work on my own stories.

What's my purpose on this site? Am I here to write clopfics? Or is it time for my stories to be put on the back burner in order to help others express themselves creatively? Do I continue helping others at the expense of my stories, or do I refocus on writing clopfics and increase my own production? What's the right call? No matter what the answer is, it will only come after much soul-searching.

I guess my question is, what do I do? Who am I?

(Click play, then read along with my new lyrics.)

What am I doing here?
Why do I write this smut?
Is it because sex sells?
A market I can't glut.

After all that I've done,
What compels me to stay?
Am I just a pervert,
At the end of the day?

If I stop, I am condemned.
If I write clopfics, I am damned!

I am the author of dozens of stories,
For bronies in need.
How can I abandon them?
How can they clop,
Without porn to read?

If I stop, I am condemned.
If I write clopfics, I am damned!

Who am I?
One who writes of sexual slaveries
And helps others create their own stories.
This children's show that we adore,
I've tainted it for evermore.

Who am I?
I record statistics of pony porn.
That fact alone makes me worthy of scorn.
And must my stories for all time,
Be treated like such vulgar slime?
What's my crime?
How can I gain respect for what I write?
Should I reject smut and embrace the light?
It's a cartoon for girls, I know.
That was until I watched the show.
I found friendship when I had none
And now I write clopfics for fun!

Who am I? Who am I?
I'm Bronystories!

And so my friends, you know it's true,
I'll write more pony porn for you!
Who am I?
B-R-O-N-Y!

As soon as I read that praise "Who am I?" I figured it had something to do with that amazing piece of literature. And you ponified it....:trixieshiftleft:

After reading all you do, I feel like I have to take a nap. I wish I had a quarter of your drive. :ajbemused:

Can I um... Eat your brain, it's more creative then mine.

Well no matter WHAT you choose do to man, I'll stick by you. It's the least I can do.

I guess I left the ending a little ambiguous, but the bottom line is, I have no plans to discontinue writing my stories.

I'm not sure how I'm going to find the time to update my clopfics while writing story outlines for other people, but I'll make it work somehow.

And darf's gloriously-titled Pinkie Pie Sucks A Hundred Dicks, which I was a creative consultant on.

Creative consultant. It's amazing the terms one makes to either distance or strengthen just how much they had to do with something.

Edit: Once again I could swear i've read a blog of yours just like this.

1025547 I'm sure that you'll figure it out. Maybe decide certain weeks where you're going to help others and weeks where you're strictly focused on your own stories. A schedule, per se.

1025554
Schedules? Time management? Who knew writing pony porn was such serious business? :coolphoto:

I love you Bronystories. I want to do lots of sexual things with you.

Your collab list is almost as long as my edited fics list.
That's impressive.

1025565 Sorry. My mind can default like that.

Someone better cover that song.

1025634

We shall write a meta fic. Bronystories and Vicodin clop.

Careful there. You're heading down the path that I've seen many artists go down. I just hope that you don't burn out or feel overwhelmed with all the collabs :/

~Have a good one and stay strong (:

That rhying dialogue is hard enough, but when I'm juggling it with several other stories, it becomes difficult to make any substantial progress.

It's not at all that hard for me to rhyme.
In fact, I seem to do it all the time.
There's more to rhymes than words that sound the same.
With some help, you too can ace this rhyming game.

First thing to know is rhythm and verse
And syllables. Syllables are the worst.
It's easy to make a rhyme that is no good.
No sense of poetry, a spirit made of wood.
You must first find a rhythm, for a rhyme is really a song.
A rhyme is merely a song that is only two words long:
A pair of twins at either end of a line,
But what is between them makes them form a rhyme.

Most like to stick to even numbers for their works,
But I find that within even-odd combos more magic lurks.
The first line is even syllables, the next one odd.
They compliment one another, completing the job.
This verse here has syllables eight
But nine right here makes the rhyme feel great.

There's also syllables exact (8)
That can get this rhyming code cracked. (8)
Clever wordplay is a plus,
But syllables are a must!
It has to function, has to form
Even when you're writing pony porn.

If it's any more rhyming help you'll need,
I'm just the guy to do the rhyming deed.
For between all your works you tend to switch,
It ends up making rhyming one tough... well, you know.

My friend, dear Pr0n ValPr0n, your fortitude is magnificent and near legenday. Let others say what they will of your stories, they are what they are. You as a person are awesome.
