This story also stars the returning cast, and new characters including Flurry Heart, Starlight Glimmer, Lightning Dust, Gloriosa Daisy, Timber Spruce, and Princesses Twilight, Luna, Celestia and Cadence.
This also stars El Macho from Despicable Me 2, but with a different plot twist.
It was the beginning of the first school week of June and it was almost time for summer vacation, meaning no more classes and no more exams.
Chase was in his bed struggling and grasping his pillow, until he woke up in a cold sweat. He got up and went to Sunset’s room, “Sunset? I had a bad dream.” He went inside to see if she was there, “Sunset?” When he uncovered his bed, Sunset wasn’t there. He then walked downstairs and saw the girls leaving for the trip, until they looked at Chase with disgusted faces. “Oh, it’s you,” Twilight said. “Why are you still here? Shouldn’t you be with your aunt?” Rainbow Dash asked. Chase backed up and had tears in his eyes, “What’s happening? Why’re you being so mean?”
“Because you’re a mean meanie pants and nobody loves you!” Pinkie Pie said. “If only he was left in the snow to perish,” Rarity said. “Otherwise, I’d make him into a skin coat!”
“No! No! Stop it!” Chase said shaking in fear as he began to run, but the girls began to grow and the sky turned red. “You little varmint! You lied to us! We thought you were our friend!” Applejack said. “You should be ashamed of yourself!” Fluttershy said, until Chase starting sobbing, “I’m not a mean person! Please stop!”
“Why don’t you cry to your mommy?! Boo-hoo-hoo!” Fluttershy said angrily, then the girls left for the trip, but Sunset looked down at him one more time, “You were never my brother. I never should’ve adopted you. You mean nothing to me.” She raised her foot over him and was about to squash him like a bug, “SUNSET, NO! NOOOOOOO!”
“CHASE, WAKE UP!”
Chase, who was wearing a pale green camping shirt with aqua green sleeves and a blue crest, brown cargo shorts, a pale green and dark royal blue camping hat, and his Skechers, woke up in a cold sweat, then began to cry in the bus until he remembered being on a bus going to a camp, and found out he was laying on someone’s lap, and saw a orangish yellow hand comforting him. It was Sunset, his sister, “Chase, it’s okay. It’s over.” She was wearing a white and magenta camping shirt, dark gray shorts, black hiking boots with red shoelaces, tan soles, and maroon tube socks. She pulled him in for a comforting hug. “Did you have a bad dream?” Sunset asked, Chase nodded and comforted himself towards Sunset’s waist and buried his head on her belly, “Chase, do you want to tell me about your dream?”
Sunset nodded and then saw Chase crying and sleeping on her lap, then Rarity came over and sat next to Sunset and poked Chase, “Will you be okay, dear?” Chase nodded and then went back to sleep until tears started to leak from his eyes, so Sunset stroked the back of his hair and rubbed his shoulders. “I heard Chase had a rough night sleeping. Poor thing,” she said.
“Yeah, he probably needs to rest for the rest of the day,” Twilight said. “But where is he gonna sleep?” Rainbow Dash asked. “We’ll have assigned cabins,” Sunset said. The girls made agreeable comments and then Chase started squirming, but Rarity softly stroked his hands and Sunset shushed him, “Awww... the poor baby really needs some beauty sleep.” She kissed her fingertips and tapped the kiss on his cheek, then the girls left him alone and let him rest.
While the bus ride was taking 2 hours to get to Camp Everfree, the students chatted and some of them fell asleep. Meanwhile, Chase was starting to sleep peacefully this time after a nice comfort from Sunset. After a few minutes of boredom, Sunset fell asleep with him but leaned her head on the window, until the bus finally made it to Camp Everfree. The bus parked at the spot where the campfire and dining hall were, then the students and staff got off and unloaded their stuff from the trunk. Sunset then looked down at Chase sleeping on her lap, then gently poked his shoulder, “Chase, wake up. We’re here.” Chase then yawned and rubbed his eyes, until Sunset spoke up softly, “Chase, look where we are.” Chase then peeked through the window and saw a view of Camp Everfree.
Suddenly, two camp staff appeared to introduce themselves. One of them was a girl no older than Sunset, and she had pale maroon skin with freckles on her cheeks, green eyes, and maroon streaked hair a flower crown. She wore a yellow and green skirted shirt, teal shorts, and brown sandal strapped shoes with daisies. Her name was Gloriosa Daisy.
The other was a boy younger than Shining Armor, and he had pale reddish brown skin, green eyes, and pine green hair. He wore a red camping shirt with white stripes on the crest and sleeves, army green cargo shorts, brown leather wristbands, a black beanie hat, white tube socks and brown hiking boots with green shoelaces and dark brown soles. His name was Timber Spruce.
“Hello, campers! Principal Celestia, Vice-Principal Luna, good to see you again! Welcome back to Camp Everfree,” Gloriosa said. “If any of you are new, my name is Gloriosa Daisy. And this is my brother, Timber Spruce. We’re going to be your counselors for this trip and this time, nothing that happened last time will occur again.”
“Now, for the activities here, there will be boating, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, nature walk, arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, archery, and campfire tales and s’mores,” Timber said. “If there are accidents or if someone is hurt, call for us and we’ll come help you.”
“When we get to the cabin over there, you will pick a room and share a room with each other. And yes, you’re allowed to have a slumber party,” Gloriosa said. “Now, follow us and you’ll pick a room.”
The students and principals followed the counselors to the cabin. When they got there, all the students chose their rooms and set up their beds, but Chase was alone in the living room, until he felt a pink hand with glossy fingernails stroke his face. He looked up and saw Cadence, who was wearing a cerulean blue collared camping skirted shirt, a teal bandana, grey tube socks, dark blue hiking boots with black and dark cerulean blue shoelaces. Her belly was also a little bulged up. “CADY!” Chase exclaimed, as he ran over to her and hugged her waist. “It’s good to see you, munchkin,” she said. “Were you looking for Sunset?” Chase nodded at hugged her again, until Cadence held him in her arms and took him to his room, while there were a couple of students nearly done setting up their beds. She saw Sunset and placed Chase on the floor.
She was planning to bunk with Twilight on top, until she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, then turned around and saw Chase before she lifted him up and held him in her arms for a hug. After she put him down, she continued to finish setting up her bed, until Rarity came over to him and helped him unpack his clothes and then placed them in the dresser.
“Sunset, where am I sleeping?” Chase asked. “You’re sleeping with me, little brother, in this bed right here,” Sunset said. Chase jumped happily, until Rarity calmed him down, “Relax, darling. You have all the time in the world to sleep with your sister.”
“You may have an point there, Rarity,” Sunset said, until Rarity kneeled down to Chase, “Darling, I know you want to play with your sister, but it’s going to be busy this week,” Chase nodded and then the students were called to come to the dining hall for lunch.
When they got inside the dining hall, there were students eating their lunches. There was sloppy joes for lunch, assorted sandwiches, a salad bar, and a fruit stand. Chase didn’t know what to have, so Sunset asked for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in white bread for him.
After she and Chase sat down with the girls, they ate lunch together. Suddenly, Cadence and Shining Armor came to their table with good news. “Good to see you all,” Shining Armor said. “Especially you, Twily.”
“If you’re wondering what’s going on, it’s because we have good news for you all,” Cadence said. “You see, it’s been a year since our marriage and we just found out something amazing.” Shining Armor concluded the sentence, “What we’re saying is... we’re going to have a baby.” The girls gasped and then squealed in excitement and congratulated them both, but Chase was sadly confused.
Cadence went over to him and comforted him, “Chase, you’re part of the family now, too. Besides, you’re gonna be a cousin.” Chase then began to smile and gave his babysitter a hug, “Plus, I’m also here to babysit you, sweetie. Just in case if you feel lonely or if Sunset’s busy. She also told me about your nightmare on the bus today. I’m sorry about that, sweetheart. But I’m glad you’re okay.” Chase then leaned himself on her chest.
“Cadence, I have to report back to the station. Can you carry on without me for the rest of the trip?” Shining Armor asked. “Mmhmm. I’ll take care of the baby, too,” she replied, then they both kissed each other on the lips and Cadence watched her husband leave to do his job and then worked on hers: watching over the students and babysitting Sunset’s brother/her step-nephew.
After lunch, it was time to do some activities, but they have to be sorted into groups. Chase wanted to do activities with Sunset, and his wish came true because he was picked into her group, and she had a couple of other students in her group, including Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight. The second that had Rainbow Dash was lead by Timber and the third that had Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy was lead by Gloriosa. Dean Cadence was in charge of babysitting Chase and both Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna supervised the groups.
Suddenly, Gloriosa saw Chase with Sunset and went towards her, “Aww, who’s this? And does this cute little guy have a name?” Sunset nodded, “Sorry about this, Gloriosa. This is my brother, Chase Tucker. Chase, this is Gloriosa Daisy and Timber Spruce, the counselors of this camp.” Chase waved nervously, “Hi.”
Timber kneeled down and ruffled Chase’s hair softly and Gloriosa kneeled down and shook Chase’s hand, “It’s nice to meet you, sweetheart. If you want, you can try our activities anytime you want. It’s your choice, but we’re just giving you a chance to have fun.” Chase nodded and then hugged Gloriosa.
Sunset’s group was at wall climbing and ropes course. Until they got harnesses on, Sunset took Chase over to the three principals and asked them to watch over Chase while she participates. The three principals sat on a bench, then Cadence sat Chase down on her lap and she held him in an embrace. “Chase, I hope you’re enjoying time with your sister,” she said. Chase nodded and then tears fell out of his eyes, then Cadence wiped his tears with her thumb and gave him a kiss on the forehead, then rested her chin on top of his head.
“Chase, your sister’s about to do the zip line!” Cadence said and she stood Chase up to let him watch, until Sunset finally went through the zip line and saw Chase cheering for her. Meanwhile, Rarity and Twilight were wall climbing with Applejack helping with their harnesses. After they were done, Sunset went over to Chase and hugged him, then he saw Rarity walk over with a harness she made for him. It was the size of his waist and it had shoulder buckle straps around it. Chase squealed excitedly and gave Rarity a hug around her waist.
After Sunset helped him put it on, he went over to Applejack and she saw him walk over, “Howdy there, little feller. You here to do wall climbing?” Chase nodded, then Applejack clipped the hook on his harness and locked it in place, then Chase went over to the rock wall and started to climb. While he kept climbing, he took a couple of breaths but he suddenly looked down, then he closed his eyes and kept climbing. “CHASE! IT’S OKAY! JUST DON’T LOOK DOWN!” Sunset hollered. “IF YOU WANNA COME DOWN, JUST TUG THE ROPE GENTLY AND I’LL SLOWLY PULL YOU DOWN, OKAY!?” Applejack said, until Chase nodded, then continued climbing until he reached the top, but he suddenly slipped and started to panic, “SOMEBODY! HELP!” Applejack suddenly heard his scream, “HANG ON, SUGARCUBE! I’LL GET YA DOWN IN A JIFFY! JUST HOLD ON!” She then started to slowly pull the rope downward to let Chase climb down, then she went over to him and held him in her arms, then unclipped his harness, wrapped him in an embrace and rubbed his back, “You alright?” Chase nodded and then wrapped his arms around her shoulders and leaned his head on the side of her neck, then Sunset came over and held Chase in her arms and then gave him a soothing hug, “Shhhhhh... It’s okay, Chase. I’m here. I’m here.”
Later on, Rainbow Dash took Chase on a paddle boat and they rode all the way around the lake, then they came back to the pier to dock their boat. Rainbow Dash helped Chase get off, then she received a hug from him, “You’re welcome, bud.”
Next, Pinkie Pie and Chase made some sugar cookies with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles on it, and finally Fluttershy took Chase for a nature walk around the forest.
After the activities were done, and a nice dinner, the campers headed to the campfire for stories, s’mores, and stargazing.
Chase asked Sunset if she could help him roast his marshmallow and make him a s’more. Sunset then nodded and roasted his marshmallow, along with hers. After they were nice and toasty for a couple seconds, Sunset grabbed some chocolate and graham crackers, then set them up into two layers, but one part of each cracker had chocolate on the top, and then she set the marshmallows on the chocolate and crackers. After they were made, Chase and Sunset ate their s’mores, which Chase started to enjoy. Sunset then found out it was story time, so Chase went with her and sat on her lap as she held him with her hands on his shoulders.
“Okay, you guys,” Rainbow Dash said. “Now, gather around because I have a terrifying tale to tell. This one might scare you a little, Chase. But if you don’t want to listen, that’s fine. Okay, let’s see... Oh, here’s a good one.”
She cleared her throat and then began her story, “So every night, during the light of the full moon, when the woods get extremely foggy and when no living soul comes out, something drastic happens for people who visit the woods. Every night, they hear screaming of some kind of wailing soul.” Chase started shaking nervously, then Sunset comforted him by pressing him on her torso and hugging him softly, then Rainbow Dash continued, “And when people see this mysterious figure, it starts to haunt your soul like a nightmare in your head that never stops. But when it gets closer, it reveals itself with slashing claws, tendrils, big fangs, and creepy eyes. It’s no other than the... GHOST OF THE EVERFREE!” The students started screaming, including Chase, then Sunset shushed him as he started crying. “Sorry, buddy. I was messing around,” Rainbow Dash said. “I think we all need to go to bed,” Gloriosa said as the students went back to their cabins to turn in for the night.
After Sunset finished her shower and changed into her pajamas, she gave Chase his bedtime bath and helped him change into his pajamas by doing his zipper, and they both brushed their teeth. Then they went to their bunk bed and Sunset cradled Chase and they cuddled for a little while.
“Sunset, I’m scared. The ghost’s gonna get me,” Chase said. “No, sweetie. The ghost’s isn’t gonna get you. There’s no such thing as a ghost of Everfree. It’s just a urban legend. You know, a fairytale,” Sunset said. “Really?” Chase asked. “Mmhmm. Plus, I’ll be here with you all night long, but if you promise to go to sleep,” Sunset said. “Okay,” Chase said, after making a big soft yawn, then Sunset blew on his belly and caused Chase to giggle.
Chase tried to escape, but Sunset caught him with her feet and gave him foot tickles, then suddenly, Gloriosa came in, “Okay, lights out, everyone. We’ll see you in the morning. Tomorrow, you can do whatever activities you want to do. Plus, you can do anything you want for the rest of the trip.” The students then went to sleep, except Chase who was still scared from the ghost story. Sunset then stroked his shoulder and then laid him down next to her, then he hugged his teddy bear and Sunset’s arm. Sunset brought Chase closer to her and wrapped him in an embrace for the entire night. “Chase, don’t be scared. It’s no more than a bad dream,” Sunset said, then she kissed his forehead and covered herself with the blanket and then they both went to sleep.
Gloriosa checked on them and saw Sunset comforting Chase in her sleep, then smiled warmly and left the room quietly.
The next day, the students were waking up and getting ready for their free days of whatever activities they want to do, until Sunset started to wake up and saw Chase sleeping with his head pressed on her chest. Sunset then unzipped the bag and got out of the bag slowly without waking the sleeping child and went to get dressed.
“Chase. It’s time to wake up, darling,” a voice said. Chase slowly blinked, rubbed his eyes and softly yawned, until his blurry vision revealed Rarity in her camping clothes and placing her hands on his shoulder, “Good morning, darling. Did you sleep well?” Chase nodded, then Sunset came back and Chase got up and went to put on his clothes. Then, they all went to the dining hall for breakfast.
The menu was French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and cereal. Chase got some apple cinnamon oatmeal with brown sugar. Sunset got herself a plate full of eggs, bacon and sausage and some for her friends and Chase. After she sat down, they all enjoyed their breakfast together and decided to talk about what to do since they have permission to do whatever activities they want to do.
“I’m gonna do some baking!” Pinkie Pie said. “I was gonna do a nature walk,” Fluttershy said. “I was gonna go kayaking with Applejack,” Rainbow Dash said. “I’m probably going with Fluttershy,” Rarity said. “I was gonna play fetch with Spike,” Twilight said. “Twilight, did you bring a frisbee?!” Spike asked. “Yep, and I know you’re excited, Spike,” Twilight replied, petting her dog. “What are you gonna do, Sunset?” Applejack asked. “I was gonna...” Sunset suddenly cut herself off after looking at Chase, then thought of an idea, “I’m probably gonna play with my brother today.” Chase gasped and hugged his big sister’s belly, “You’re the best sister in the world!” Chase said happily. Sunset giggled and made a “d’awwww” reaction, then patted his head and continued, “And we’ll probably check out some cool places around here, unless if you all wanna swim in the lake later.” They all made agreeable comments.
After breakfast, everyone was starting to socialize with each other, until suddenly, Sunset held Chase on her back for a piggyback ride while running and they were both laughing. Applejack and Rainbow Dash watched them both play from the pier and made some warm smiles.
Sunset got tired and then put Chase down and they both played tag. Chase was it and he went after Sunset to tag her, but Sunset laid flat on the grass pretending to be dead, until Chase went up to her and then got made a “boo” scare and ran after Chase. Sunset tossed the frisbee over to Chase, then he threw it at Sunset to catch it. Sunset applauded and gave him a thumbs up.
Sunset and Chase ran off to the nature walk forest and then Chase walked on a log while Sunset placed har hand on her hip and shrugged her shoulders and smirked warmly. Chase then made it to the other side and climbed down from a small rock wall, until Sunset tickled him and then they both shared a quick hug and then ran back to the campsite and then went to then rolled on the grass and gazed at the clouds with some laughs.
“Ahem. Is there something I’m missing?” a voice asked. It was Gloriosa, tapping her foot and had her hands around her waist. “Oh, Gloriosa. I didn’t see you there,” Sunset said, leaning on her hip and held herself still with her hand. “Oh, the kid? Don’t worry, Chase is just being playful as usual, aren’t you Chase?” Sunset rubbed her nose against Chase’s nose, then they shared a hug. Gloriosa kneeled down and then ruffled his hair softly, “I’m glad your sister’s taking care of you. What were you two doing anyway?”
“We’re just hanging out and playing with each other. We’re also gonna go swimming in the lake, if that’s okay with you,” Sunset said. Gloriosa then nodded with a warm smile, “I think that’ll be wonderful. We have another side of the lake over there that’s for swimming only. You and Chase can go get changed if you want.” Sunset nodded and then Chase took her hand and went over to the cabin to put their swimsuits on.
After they walked out of the cabin, Sunset wore her regular swimsuit, but she didn’t have her sun skirt and gold bracelet. She also had black slide-on sandals with a little gold that covered most of her feet, and Chase wore his favorite shark swim trunks and shirt.
“Can we jump in, Sunset? Can we? Can we? Can we?” Chase asked while jumping excitedly. Sunset giggled and patted his head, “Okay, okay. We can jump in. I’ll go first and then after you jump in, swim over to me and we’ll swim together.”
“Okay!” Chase replied, until Sunset ran over the dock and jumped into the lake, then Chase jumped into the lake and swam over to Sunset as she held him in her arms arms and they both leaned in for a hug, then she placed him on her back and then they swam together, until the girls came over for a nice swim too. They all wore their swimsuits and swam over to them both to join the fun.
“Hello, darling,” Rarity said. “Hi,” Chase replied. “Chase, let’s see if you can try swimming by yourself,” Sunset said. “I can’t carry you on my back forever, so you’re gonna have to learn how to swim by yourself. Rainbow Dash, could you show him the butterfly?” Rainbow Dash nodded and then showed Chase how to swim the butterfly stroke, until Chase tried it out.
He then tried swimming back to Sunset, “Good job, buddy.” Sunset then gave him a victory hug and then he happily swam for fun, but later on, it was time to get dried off. Sunset and Chase went back to the cabin and got cleaned up, but Sunset gave Chase his bath before she took her shower. After getting cleaned up, they went to the dining hall for dinner, which was macaroni and cheese. Chase sat between Sunset and Rarity, and they all ate dinner together.
“So, girls. Any idea what we’re doing tomorrow?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Well, I was thinking about doing a nature walk together and taking a tour of the forest,” Fluttershy said. “That’s splendid, darling,” Rarity said. “But I’ll be sure to wear some insect repellent just in case.” Sunset looked down at Chase, “Hey, buddy. Tonight, we’re gonna do lanterns, so I’m gonna help you make one. Okay?” Chase nodded and then Sunset wiped the cheese off his lips, then he continued to eat his mac n’ cheese.
After dinner, everyone made their lanterns. Gloriosa appeared with Timber and they came to check out their lanterns, “Okay, let’s see your lanterns.”
Rainbow Dash made a red lantern with yellow lightning bolts, Rarity made a light blue lantern with purple diamonds, Sunset made a red lantern with a bamboo pattern, Applejack made a orange lantern with red apples, Fluttershy made a pale pink lantern with yellow butterflies, Pinkie Pie made a dark pink lantern with blue and yellow balloons, and Twilight made a purple lantern with pale yellow stars and moons.
“Great job, everyone,” Gloriosa said, until she found out that Chase made himself a blue lantern with green dinosaurs on it. “It’s adorable, sweetheart.” Chase blushed softly and then stood with Sunset. “Okay, campers. Let’s see if our lanterns can fly once more.” They all started to release their lanterns into the air and they started floating, and Chase let his float, then a tear stroke his eyes. “Don’t worry, buddy. We can always make you a new one to keep,” Sunset said, until she gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Alright, back to the cabin. Tomorrow, we’re nature hiking through the forest, so be sure to bring water,” Gloriosa said, as the campers went to the cabin to get ready for bed.
After Chase and Sunset were in their sleeping bag, Chase got a book from his bag and he showed it to Sunset, “Can you read me this?” Sunset saw Chase holding a book called “The Little Engine That Could” by Watty Piper, then she nodded, “Yeah, sure.” She then took the book from Chase and he got closer to her and leaned on the side left of her left breast and then she wrapped her arm around his shoulders and started to read him the book.
Gloriosa checked over the beds and saw everyone sleeping, except Sunset who was reading to her little brother. She smiled warmly at the two siblings and then left the room.
After Sunset finished reading the book, Chase started sleeping. She placed the book back in the bag and turned off the light and finally fell asleep, until Chase held on to her arm.
On a spooky night, Chase was running through the slenderly foggy forest, because something was after him. He hid behind a tree to hide, until he saw the Ghost of Everfree staring at him, until Chase quietly made a soft move, but suddenly the ghost jump-scared him and Chase woke up screaming. “Chase, are you alright, darling?!” Rarity asked with a small electric candle and hugged him. “Sunset, wake up!” Sunset squinted her eyes and then saw her hugging Chase, who had tears in his eyes, shaking like a Chihuahua. “Rarity, Sunset, the ghost is gonna get me! Make it go away!” Chase said. “No, no, no, darling. Nothing’s going to get you,” Rarity said, stroking his hair. “It’s all over,” Sunset said, before Chase went over to her for a hug. “It was only a bad dream. It’s only make-believe.” Chase then started to calm down, and Rarity went back to bed. “Chase, it’s late. Just try to sleep,” Sunset said, as Chase nodded and gently listened to her heartbeat. “Shhhhhh... Sleep, sleep, sleep...” Chase fell asleep again and Sunset comforted him.
The next morning, Sunset opened her eyes and saw Chase snuggling with her, then gently stroked his shoulder, “Chase, time to wake up.” Chase then softly yawned and rubbed his eyes, then saw Sunset giving him a warm hug, “Good morning, sweetie.”
“Good morning, Sunset,” Chase said, as he nuzzled his cheek on her chest and then Sunset gave Chase to Rarity so she can get dressed and help Chase put his clothes on. After everyone was ready, they went to the dining hall for breakfast. It was oatmeal, hash brown, eggs, bacon and sausage for breakfast.
After breakfast, the campers met up with their principals and Gloriosa and Timber for the hike, then Gloriosa spoke up, “Okay, campers. Today, me and my brother, Timber, are gonna take you all on a nature walk around the forest area in the camp that has a road path to lead us back to the camp. Now, if you have a water bottle with you, be sure to drink plenty because it’s gonna be a while. There will also be some short breaks if anyone needs to rest for a while. Now, there will be some wildlife and natural resources to see. If you wanna take pictures, you’re allowed to, but don’t touch anything. Alright, let’s go ahead and enjoy our hike.”
After the speech, they all left for the forest to do their hike, until Chase started shaking in fear. “Don’t worry, Chase. The ghost is not real,” Sunset said. “If you get scared, just tug my shorts and let me know, okay?” Chase nodded, then Sunset reached out her hand, “Come on, take my hand.” Chase held Sunset’s hand and they both caught up with the others in the forest.
While they walked, they had a tour through the shade of the trees and warmth of the sun. Until a few minutes later, they went through a short rocky cliff underneath the log Chase and Sunset played at yesterday. After a shortcut underneath the log and back into the woods, Sunset suddenly felt her hand was not holding Chase’s, causing her to lose him, “Chase?! Chase?!” She suddenly saw him slowly walking from behind the group in exhaustion and felt thirsty, so Sunset ran back to Chase and let him climb onto her back and held her hands underneath his legs for a piggyback ride so he can rest.
After Sunset made it back to the group with Chase, the girls saw Sunset with Chase on her back. “Is everything alright, Sunset?” Rarity asked. “Oh, everything’s fine. Chase just got a little exhausted from walking,” Sunset said. “My feet hurt... and I’m thirsty,” Chase said in a soft raspy voice, then he panted slowly and heavily. “Aww, you poor little thing,” Rarity said. “Here, sugarcube. Drink some water,” Applejack said, lending Chase her water bottle to drink from. After Chase drank some water, he felt refreshed. “Don’t worry, bug,” Twilight said. “It won’t be that long. You’re welcome to watch the view.” Chase nodded and then gave himself some views of the forest’s natural resources.
During the hike, everyone saw pretty glimmering bushes, a small pond with a small garden, some beautiful wildlife, and a huge waterfall near the mountains. Chase began to love the majestic beauty of the forest, and Fluttershy gave him some red delicious apple slices to eat. After the hike was finished, everyone went to do some activities or cool off in the cabin, while Sunset took Chase inside to give him a bath and wash the sweat off him. After he was nice and clean, he put on a fresh pair of camping clothes on, but he had a pair of lightweight sweatpants. After he got changed, Sunset tucked him into the sleeping bag and kissed his forehead, then left him alone to rest and closed the door.
After Sunset left Chase for his nap, she went to check on her friends, “Hey, Sunset! Come play cards with us!” Rainbow Dash said. “Where’s the little darling, Sunset?” Rarity asked. “He’s in the cabin taking a nap. He needs some rest for a while,” Sunset said, until they girls made a “d’awwww” reaction, then they all played cards together.
While the girls were playing cards, Dean Cadence went to use the bathroom, then after that, she saw her step-nephew napping like a little angel. She made a warm smile and sat down on a chair next to him without waking him up, then she rearranged the blanket on him, then she gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek and left the room quietly.
After a nice long nap, Chase woke up and saw a blurry vision of red and yellow, until his vision then cleared up and saw Sunset kneeling towards him and rubbing his shoulder, “Chase, you okay?” Chase rubbed his eyes. “Mmhmm,” he replied with a soft squeaky grunting voice. “Are you done with your nap?” Sunset asked, until Chase nodded as a reply, then Sunset unzipped the sleeping bag and gave him a hug, then helped him change into his shorts and let him put on his sneakers and then carried him to the dining hall for dinner, which was pizza dippers with red sauce and broccoli and cheese as an appetizer.
After dinner, they had s’mores again, but this time, Sunset roasted two marshmallows for him and made his s’mores. After Chase ate his, he sat on Sunset’s lap and then she leaned back on the ground with Chase laying on his back and on top of her belly and laid the back of his head on her chest, then they both did some stargazing together.
“See that one?” Sunset asked. “Uh-huh,” Chase replied, until Sunset explained some of the stars up in the big night sky, “That’s Orion the Hunter, and that one is the Ursa Major, along with the Minor.”
“That one looks like a unicorn!” Chase said, pointing at the constellation of Monoceros. “That’s good, and see that one and that one? Those are Pegasus the Winged Horse and Perseus the Hero. And that scary one is Scorpius, and those are Leo the Lion and Leo Minor the Lesser Lion.”
“Sunset, why do the stars form shapes?” Chase asked. “Well, Chase, the reason why the stars do that is because they tell stories, like Hercules over there. He was known for slaying a nine headed hydra in an article from Greek mythology.”
“Wow, you’re really smart like Twilight,” Chase said, until Sunset patted his belly and rubbed his hands. “Thanks, Chase. I’ve studied astronomy with her before I met you.” Chase then started yawning, until Sunset sat up and lifted Chase up in her arms and held him, “Alright, buddy. Let’s get you inside and ready for bed.”
After they were ready, Sunset and Chase climbed into the sleeping bag and tucked themselves in, then they fell asleep, but Chase wanted to stay up for a little while and talk to Sunset, “Sunset, can we do something together tomorrow?”
Sunset nodded and then touched his face, “Of course we can, but after later tomorrow it’s gonna be a dance party and we’re going home afterwards. Plus, I’ll plan a trip to Equestria Land soon. It’s an amusement park, but since you’ve never been there because I plan to take you there.” Chase smiled warmly and then made a small yawn, until Sunset kissed his forehead and then they both went to sleep.
While the students were sleeping, nothing woke them. Until all of a sudden, Sunset heard Chase crying, and saw him curled into a ball with his head on his thighs and his hands on his knees. “Chase, what’s wrong?” Sunset asked softly, putting her hand on his shoulder. “Sunset... I h-h-had another nightmare... a-and I had an accident,” Chase said with sobs, until Sunset saw a wet spot on his pants. “Aww, Chase, you peed your pants,” Sunset said, until she lifted him up in a cradle and took him over to Rarity’s bed. “Rarity, wake up.”
Rarity heard Sunset’s voice, then opened her eyes and saw Chase crying and his wet pants, “Oh, dear. Come here, sweetie. I’ll get you all cleaned up.“ Chase nodded and then suddenly, Fluttershy woke up and saw Chase crying and saw his wet pants, then she took him and laid Chase down on her lap all the way on his back so that he can see her face, then she stroked his hair and held both his cute little hands for comfort, “Shhhhhh... it’s okay, Chase. We’ll take care of you, sweetheart.”
Chase nodded and then started to calm down and Fluttershy leaned down and gave him a tender kiss on his forehead. “Do you wanna tell us about your nightmare?” Rarity asked while she came back with some clean underwear, some wet wipes and a towel, then took off his pants and carefully started to change him. Chase nodded and then started to tell about his dream, “I was sleeping with Sunset, but we were in a scary hospital... *sniff* and then the doctors came in and S-S-Sunset was dying and... *sniff* the nurse took me away, until the doctors were electrocuting her! They were killing her!” Fluttershy shushed him after she softly embraced his head towards her belly for a hug, then Rarity wiped the section with a wet wipe and dried it with the towel, “That must’ve been awful, darling. But don’t worry. Sunset’s not going anywhere, and you’re safe.” Chase nodded, then Rarity put on the clean underwear and straightened it out and then put his pants back on after she cleaned the urine off. Then, Rarity patted his belly softly, “Feel better, darling?” Chase nodded and then fell asleep again.
“Sunset, he is all clean,” Rarity said. “Would it be alright if he slept with me and Fluttershy just for tonight?” Sunset nodded, “Yeah. Go ahead.” Rarity nodded and then walked back to her bed where Chase was leaning by Fluttershy’s stomach and rested his head on a pillow. “He looks so cute when he sleeps like that,” Fluttershy said, softly rubbing his hair. “I know,” Rarity said, until she took her slippers off her feet and then got under the sleeping bag and zipped it closed. “Rarity, can I lay by your side?” Chase asked softly. “Of course, darling. Just not too close,” she replied softly. Chase scooted over to Rarity and laid his head on her belly, then Rarity placed one hand on his hair and her other arm around his shoulders, until Fluttershy embraced her arm on the sleeping child’s back.
When morning came, Gloriosa came to check on the sleeping campers for a wake up call, until she then suddenly saw Chase curled up with Rarity and Fluttershy. Gloriosa had a warm smile and then decided to let them sleep for a few more minutes.
Few minutes later...
Gloriosa and Timber came in the bedroom to wake up the campers, “Wake up, campers. Rise and shine. Today’s your last day of being here at Camp Everfree!” The students started to wake up and get ready to go home and ready for the day. Rarity suddenly blinked and stretched out her arms flexibly. Fluttershy woke up and then saw Chase sleeping like a little angel, “Chase, it’s time to wake up, sweetheart.” Chase then made a soft yawn and then felt Fluttershy wrap him in for a hug and felt his cheek pressed on her belly. “Good morning, Chase. Did you sleep well, darling?” Rarity asked, until Chase nodded with a soft moan. “Alright, now go to your sister and get dressed. We’ll all walk together,” Fluttershy said, as Chase got out of the bed and went over to Sunset, who had his clothes ready.
After Chase was dressed and packed up for the bus ride home later, Sunset let him have a piggyback ride on the way to the dining hall for breakfast. Today’s menu was pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Chase got himself some pancakes along with the breakfast meats and eggs, then sat down with the girls and then started to eat his breakfast.
“Girls, last night, Chase asked me if I could do something with him today, and I said yes. But I need to know what we’re all doing today,” Sunset said. “We’re having a free day today, and later today, you’re all going home,” Gloriosa said. “And we would like you to participate in the activities, Chase. Just for fun.” Chase nodded and then felt Dean Cadence stroke his shoulder, “Don’t worry, sweetie. Sunset will be watching.” Chase then realized that he had support and now wasn’t afraid.
“Sunset, can you teach me how to fish?” Chase asked, then Sunset made a soft nod. After Sunset and Chase walked over to the docks, they met up with Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna, who were already fishing. Sunset got him a small fishing rod and put some bread onto the hook. Chase took the rod and held the string where the hook was without hurting himself, then sat down on the dock and then lowered the string on his fishing rod into the water and waited for a fish to come. “Okay, Chase. Just be patient and it’ll come,” Sunset said, then Vice-Principal Luna stood by him and watched over him.
Then, all of a sudden, Chase felt something tug his fishing rod, “SUNSET! I GOT SOMETHING!” Sunset looked at Chase trying to pull his rod out of the water, then went over to help him and suddenly, Chase caught a huge bass! “Guys! Chase caught a big bass!” Rainbow Dash said excitedly, causing everyone to see the biggest fish Chase has caught, until Photo Finish took his photo and Sunset helped Chase put it back in the water.
“Great job, buddy,” Sunset said, until she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Later on, after a few activities, they went back to the center of camp and had a party before they left, then Gloriosa made an announcement, “Everyone, I just wanna thank you for coming over to Camp Everfree and you all did a great job with your groups and we are very proud of you all. Great work, everyone, and enjoy the rest of your school year.” The students made a cheerful applause and then they continued to party, while Sunset and Chase danced together.
After the party ended, it was time to get on the bus back home. Chase sat next to Sunset, who sat with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. “Did you have fun, sweetie?” Fluttershy asked. “Yep. I did,” Chase replied with a soft happy tone. “Good,” Fluttershy replied, then she gave him a kiss on the cheek, then wrapped her arm around his shoulders for comfort, and Chase leaned by her side. Sunset suddenly took out a brown notebook and decided to write down something to an old friend of hers.

How’re you doing in Equestria? Any new spells or fights against darkness? I know we haven’t seen each other for a while, but I have some good news and bad news about what happened here recently.
Here’s what’s up: I just adopted a 4 year old boy named Chase Tucker as my brother. He’s very sweet and totally adorable and sometimes playful in a cute way. He gets shy when he meets new people, but he’s okay now.
A few months ago, I found him in an alley all broken-hearted because he had no family, well he did. You see, he lost his parents in a car crash when he was 3, then he lived with his aunt who hated him. I’ll explain everything, but last time we encountered her, she was wearing a glowing red ruby on her neck and she turned into a giant she-demon. That medallion made her really angry. Chase has been given the love and comfort he truly deserves so far. I’ll let you know about Chase’s backstory some other time and let you know if we run into Equestrian magic soon.

I’m glad you took someone under your care. That was really thoughtful of you, just like when I hatched Spike. That ruby you told me about was The Stone of Eternal Hate. It’s a stone that can turn somepony’s anger into power. Estella must’ve received the same side effect as well. I’m also glad you destroyed it when you all saved Chase. I hope to look forward about Chase’s progress and what you might find. In fact, I would love to hear about your little brother, if you have the time.

Sunset smirked warmly and then closed her book, and put it back in her bag and suddenly saw Chase sleeping on Fluttershy’s lap. “Can you wake him if we’re there?” Sunset asked. “Of course,” Fluttershy replied. “Did she say anything back?”
“Yeah. I just told her about Chase and our encounter with Estella, and how I’ve been taking care of Chase,” Sunset explained. “She also said if we run into Equestrian magic, she would like to meet him, including the other Princesses of Equestria, and they might like him, but I hope they can forgive me like you all have.”
The girls were pleased, then Fluttershy stroked Chase’s hair and his little hands that touched both her legs.
During the drive, the students socialized and slept during the ride, and Sunset comforted Chase while he laid on Fluttershy’s lap.
After the bus made it back to school, Fluttershy gently shook Chase, “Chase, wake up, sweetheart. We’re back home.” Chase then woke up and sat up. After everyone got off the bus, they all went home. Sunset and Chase walked home to their apartment to rest from the trip.
After they had dinner later on, they had a few minutes with each other until Chase’s bedtime. Chase brushed his teeth and then met Sunset in his bedroom. After that, she gave him a hug, read a short story to him, then tucked him in his bed, and gave him a small kiss. “Goodnight, Chase. I’ll see you in the morning,” Sunset said, leaving his room with the light off and then shut the door.
After she tucked Chase into bed, she got herself ready for bed, and then she tucked herself under her covers and took one more look at the stars in the big beautiful night sky, where the moon shone, then started sleeping peacefully.
Sunset and Chase walked over to school, and then went to their homerooms. When Chase got to his classroom, he saw Sam Sam and Melody playing with Miss Blue Belle, and a new student that was big, had chocolate brown skin, brown hair, golden brown eyes, a small sports grey hoodie with blue jeans and white Nike’s. “What up, buddy? My name’s Seamus, and these two peeps are being so cool with me. They your friends, too?” he asked. Chase nodded, “I’m Chase. Chase Tucker.” Seamus wrapped his arm around his shoulder and lead him to Miss Blue Belle, Sam Sam and Melody, “Pleasure, by the way. Come on, let’s meet up with Melody and Sam Sam and build blocks.” Chase nodded and then they both sat down and built blocks altogether.
Suddenly, Mrs. Chrysalis came in and the students went to their seats for attendance, “Now, children. In case you didn’t know, today is the last day of this school semester. And I hope me and of course Miss Blue Belle will see you all again next year. So, how about if we all watch a movie together and have some snacks?” The kids cheered and they all got some snacks for themselves and took it to their desks. After that, they watched “Shrek.”
At lunch, Chase and his friends went to meet Sunset, “SUNSET! OVER HERE!” Sunset heard his voice and saw him with Sam Sam, Melody, and Seamus. “Hey, kids. Who’s this?” Seamus went over to her and shook her hand, “Name’s Seamus. And you must be Sunset Shimmer. Chase told me about you, and that you took him as a brother. That’s cool!” Sunset blushed by his kind words, then she decided on something after she took out $20.00 from her wallet, “If I buy you kids some burgers, do you want to sit with me and my friends?” The kids said yes, then Sunset got them some plain cheeseburgers with waffle fries, and small sodas. Chase got a Coke, Sam Sam got a Sprite, Melody got some pink lemonade, and Seamus got a root beer. Then, they met up with the girls and sat down.
Melody sat next to Rarity and Fluttershy. Sam Sam sat between Twilight and Applejack. Seamus sat next to Rainbow Dash. Chase sat next to Sunset. “Guys, the kids made a new friend today. Everyone, I want you to meet Seamus,” Sunset said. “S’up?” Seamus asked. They all waved and said hi to him, then they continued to eat lunch together.
After school finally ended for this year, Sunset and Chase said goodbye to their friends and that they would meet them tomorrow if they’re not too busy, then they went home.
“Sunset, can we go to the park? I miss going there,” Chase asked. “Sure thing, buddy,” Sunset said kindly, then she crouched down to let Chase climb onto her back for a piggyback ride, then they walked to the park.
When they got there, Chase went to the jungle gym and wandered around the obstacles and went down the slides, then Sunset pushed him on the swings. After the swings, they watched the clouds and try to guess their shapes. “Hey, that one looks like a penguin!” Chase said. “And that one looks like a elephant! And that’s a lion!”
Sunset was amazed, “Well, smart guy, can you see the biggest yacht in Canterlot City?” Chase looked at a weird shaped cloud, but then turned his head another way, “I SEE IT! I SEE IT!” Sunset then showed him her travel book about it, “That’s where we’re going. You, me, the girls, and your friends. Even our friends’ families, including Cadence and Shining Armor. We’ll be on a huge boat across the ocean, living in paradise for an entire week. Plus, there’s a swimming pool, and lots of fun stuff to do.”
Chase smiled warmly and then hugged his sister, then they went back home and took a nap together.
When Chase was sleeping in his bed, he suddenly felt cold and felt something crawl onto him, but he got up and went downstairs to the kitchen for a cup of cold water. Suddenly, Sunset went over to check on him, “Chase? What are you doing out of bed?”
“I‘m thirsty,” Chase said. Sunset frowned and then walked over to him and gave him a warm hug, then she got him a drink and sent him back to bed. When Chase was tucked back in bed with his cup, Sunset went back to her room and went back to sleep.
After Chase finished his drink and went back to sleep, he then heard soft thunder rumbling, and then heard spooky noises and felt cold from the wind, until a dark shadowy figure crawled out from his closet and slithered into a king cobra, then formed a huge clawed hand that tried to grab him. Chase suddenly woke up in a cold sweat and felt his heart beating rapidly, until Sunset came in, “Chase, what is it?”
“I felt something touch me!” Chase said in a panic. “Can you check my closet and make sure nothing’s in there?” Sunset nodded and went to look over, but saw nothing, “No monster in here. Well, Chase, looks like you were just dreaming.” Chase nodded in relief, until Sunset took Chase over to her bedroom so that he can sleep with her for the rest of the night.
After she laid Chase on one side of her bed, Sunset tucked herself back in. Then, they went to sleep, and Chase felt safe and warm, but Chase kept rolling around the bed because he started to have another bad dream that he couldn’t wake up, until he accidentally shoved Sunset off the bed. She woke up from bumping on the floor and saw Chase crying in his sleep and mumbling in fear. She got back into the bed and then pulled Chase over to her for a hug to comfort him until his nightmare would calm down and that he would finally sleep.
Until an hour later, Sunset got tired and Chase started to sleep peacefully, then Sunset laid him back down and then went back to sleep.
The next morning, Sunset saw the sunrise shine through her window, then she saw Chase was still sleeping. She gave him a small kiss, then she gently shook him, “Chase, it’s time to wake up.” Chase started to heavily open his eyes, and then Sunset rolled her eyes and rubbed his shoulder, “Are you still tired?” Chase nodded. “I’ll give you a few more minutes,” Sunset said, then she got out of bed and tucked Chase back in, then gave him a kiss on the cheek. “I’ll check on you later,” Sunset whispered. Chase nodded and then went back to sleep. She went downstairs for a cup of coffee, “Ugh... Well, at least I got some sleep last night.” She then took a sip of her coffee and made herself a bagel with cream cheese.
While she ate her bagel, Chase came down with a soft yawn, then he went to Sunset for a hug. “Do you feel better, buddy?” Sunset asked. “Mmhmm,” Chase nodded, then Sunset gave him a kiss on the top of his head and gave him the last remaining piece of her bagel. “By the way, we’re going over to The Sweet Shoppe to meet the girls for some ice cream and sweets. So when you’re done, go get dressed and brush your teeth, then we’ll go,” Sunset said. Chase nodded, until he finished his bagel slice, and went upstairs to get dressed and brush his teeth. When he came down, he took Sunset’s hand and they walked over to The Sweet Shoppe.
After Sunset and Chase left their apartment, they all ordered some treats and sat down, they began to talk about Chase’s night terror last night. “Okay, so if we find anything involving evil magic, I might visit Equestria for some answers. Just in case,” Sunset said. “I do sure hope that she’ll know what to do, darling,” Rarity said. “I know you’re stressed and overwhelmed about Chase or some other magical incidents. We’ll find something to do soon.”
“I’m sure Princess Twilight won’t mind. She might love Chase like we all do,” Fluttershy said. “Yep. Pretty much,” Sunset said, until she thought to herself, ‘I really hope Princesses Celestia, Luna and Cadence like him.’
“Hello!” a voice said, entering the store when the girls acted casual. A man appeared with white skin like Chase, black combed hair and a goatee, brown eyes, and he wore a red satin long sleeved buttoned shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a gold chain necklace with a medallion with the letter “E”. “Buenos dias, my friends! I am Eduardo Perez! Owner of the Salsa and Salsa restaurant across town, now open for breakfast.”
“Hello. I’m Cup Cake,” she said. “And I’m Carrot Cake,” he said. Sunset saw Chase whimpering while he buried his cheek on her chest, “It’s okay.” She embraced him.
“So, what can we get you, buddy?“ Carrot Cake asked. “Oh this’ll just take a momento!” Eduardo said. “I am throwing a big summer Fiesta de Carnival party! And I’m going to need some of your best cupcakes! Decorated with....... The Moscatan flag. It looks something like this.” He suddenly ripped his shirt open revealing a chest tattoo of his country’s flag. “What’d ya think?” He then shook his shoulders so that it looked like the flag was waving. “My goodness!” Rarity exclaimed. “This guy’s nuts!” Sunset said, until Eduardo suddenly saw the girls and Chase at their table, “Ayeyey! I’ve never seen you 8 work here before! Who are you?”
“Oh, we don’t work here, except her,” Sunset said. “Let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Sunset Shimmer. This is Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Twilight Sparkle. This little guy sitting on my lap is my brother, Chase. Well, adopted brother to be exact.” Chase suddenly crept back until Rarity gave him a hug. “Sorry, about him. He’s kinda shy around new people.”
Rarity then asked while comforting the boy, “Pardon me, darling. But did you say you own a restaurant across town?”
“Why yes I do, señorita! Salsa and Salsa!” Eduardo said. “That... is... AWESOME!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “I’d sure love to try out the place,” Fluttershy said, until Rarity agreed. “Indeed, darling.”
“It was nice meeting you, Mr. Eduardo,” Sunset said. Eduardo nodded, then turned back to Mr. and Mrs. Cake, “But anyways, I’ll need them by next week! Adios, my friends! Have a good day. Come by when you get a chance, okay?” The girls sighed, but Eduardo came back for a moment. “And girls, welcome.....to the shop family!”
“What is it, darling?” Rarity asked, Rainbow Dash suspiciously kept looking at him walk. “What’s going on?” Fluttershy asked, with Spike on her lap. “Rainbow Dash, could you please tell us?” Twilight asked. Rainbow Dash sighed, then started to explain, “That guy looked familiar.“
“Like what?” Applejack asked. Rainbow Dash sighed again, “I hate to tell you guys this, but he looked exactly like a daredevil named “El Macho.” The girls gasped, until Rarity placed her hands on her cheeks, “EL MACHO?! I’ve heard about him!” Sunset Shimmer was confused, “Who’s El Macho?”
Rainbow Dash started to explain everything, “Alright. From about 20 years ago...”
A flashback appeared, revealing El Macho wearing blue spandex pants with two straps and white thread revealing a pattern, black and brown sandals, a red and black wrestler mask, and a red cape with a black star symbol. He pointed at a wine bottle from a bartender and then he was given the drink bottle labeled “La Venganza del Escorpion.” He opened up the cork and poured the drink into the glass and put the bottle down on the table and then drank it.
“He was stunningly ruthless, he was DANGEROUS! And as the name implies, very macho!” El Macho then took out two dollar bills and paid for the tip, then he walked out of the bar.
Another flashback showed El Macho stepping out into a stadium until he rammed his head towards the grill off a monster truck, then he went under and lifted it up.
“He even had a huge reputation of lifting extremely heavy stuff, using ONLY his bare hands!” El Macho tossed the monster truck over the ring of fire, and it landed on its wheels, until the crowd applauded and tossed him roses. “But sadly, like all the greats, El Macho was gone too soon!”
The final flashback showed him doing a skydiving stunt, “He died doing the greatest stunt in the most macho way possible! Fluttershy felt worried, “Oh, my. That sounds painful.” Twilight wasn’t concerned, “Yeah, but it sounds like El Macho’s pretty dead. Because volcanic magma can easily burn you into a crisp.“
“But they never found the body!” Rainbow Dash said. Pinkie Pie started jumping, “Ooh! Ooh! What’d they find!? What’d they find!?”
Rainbow Dash pushes Pinkie Pie backward, then explained again, “But the only thing was found was a small pile of singed chest hair, but that face. He’s totally El Macho!”
Applejack was now confused, “So what you’re saying is... that guy used to be a pro-wrestler sized daredevil?”
“Yes!” Rainbow Dash said. Sunset thought for a moment, “This may sound ridiculous, but do you think he might have something to do with Equestrian magic?”
“You might be onto something, darling,” Rarity said, blushing her cheeks with her makeup. “What if we snuck into his restaurant and look for clues... TONIGHT?” Twilight asked. “Probably a good choice,” Rainbow Dash said. “Because I’m telling you, if anybody in the town has anything involved with evil magic...” She then pointed at Eduardo entering his restaurant, “It’s him!”
While Chase was in his Thomas and Friends pajamas after he had his bedtime bath and was playing with his toys, he heard the door open and saw Cadence come over because Sunset recently asked her to babysit him.
Cadence was wearing a teal shirt with her crystal heart symbol underneath a blue sweatshirt with pink stripes, a pink skirt, her black cropped pants and her navy blue flats. She was now 7 months pregnant with her baby.
“CADY! Chase exclaimed as he went over to hug his favorite babysitter/step-aunt, until he felt her belly push him back a little. “It’s good to see you, too, sweetheart,” Cadence said, until she sat down on the couch, and hugged him again. “How’s my little munchkin?” she asked. “I’m good,” Chase said. “I heard about what happened,” Cadence said. “Are you feeling better, sweetheart?” Chase nodded and then he went to his play mat and cleaned up his toys.
When he was done, Cadence was sitting down the couch leaning back and watching a classical movie about love and mystery. Cadence felt so relaxed and rested while she was comfy on the couch, until she saw Chase near her right leg.
“Here, sit close to me,” she said kindly, until Chase came over to the couch and leaned next to Cadence, until his head rested on the side of her belly and he felt her hand stroking his cheek. “You enjoying the summer?” Cadence asked. “Mmhmm,” Chase said. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m just glad you’re feeling better,” Cadence said. “It’s also a shame they don’t make movies like these anymore. I love romantic classics. I even read some books about love, including Twilight.”
“Wow, I like to read children’s books,” Chase said. “Yeah, I know,” Cadence said, until she suddenly jolted after feeling a few kicks in her abdomen, then she unrolled her shirt and gently rubbed her gravid midsection to calm her unborn daughter, and then rested her legs on the other side of the couch and placed a pillow underneath her back to avoid back pain, then she rubbed her belly to calm her child, until Chase came over. “Would you like to feel it?” she asked. “Okay,” Chase said, until he gently placed his hand on her midsection and gently pressed on her stomach, until he felt her kick again and softly rubbed her belly. “Looks like she’s excited to meet you,” Cadence said. “Can I lay on it?” Chase asked. “Mmhmm,” she replied, then she lifted him up and placed him on the couch, until he crawled over, laid down on her belly and gave her a warm hug.
Chase then fell asleep, while he felt Cadence’s belly rising up and down due to her breathing, then she wrapped her arms around him and then she put her favorite movie back on.
Meanwhile, Sunset and the girls went towards the entrance of Eduardo’s restaurant after they parked their car. They snuck towards a wall and then Rainbow Dash checked for any guards, “Okay, we’re clear.” They then quietly snuck towards the door and Sunset found out that the door was locked. “It’s locked,” she said. “Great. How’re we gonna get inside?” Rainbow Dash asked. “I may have something in my makeup bag that can pick the lock,” Rarity said, as she looked through her purse and found a small pin, then Twilight used her telekinetic magic to pick through the lock, until the door opened. “Well, that was easy,” Twilight said, after she pushed her glasses up a little. Then, they entered the restaurant and looked around for clues, until Rainbow Dash made sure the door was shut and the blinds were shut.
While they looked around for evidence, Rarity accidentally tripped over a little wire that was connected to a small bell, until the girls cowered towards each other and shook, but suddenly they saw something coming. When it came out, it was a little chicken. “It’s a chicken,” Twilight said. “Aww... are you lost, little guy?” Fluttershy asked, until the chicken clucked. “You must be lost.” Rainbow Dash then laughed, “A chicken? Some guard dog that is! What’s the worst thing that can possibly happen?”
Sunset shrugged her shoulders and smirked, then she placed her hand on her hip, “Well, at least it can’t get any worse.” Suddenly, the chicken leaped onto Sunset and started pecking her face with his beak until Sunset moved around the restaurant making a mess, “AGH! Get it off of me! Get it off of me! Get it off of me!”
“Hold still, darling!” Rarity said, until she used a translucent diamond and tried to blast the chicken off her, but it dodges the attack and then leaps onto the ground and crawled underneath Rarity’s skirt and she starts to scream and rolls on the ground with her hands trying to catch the chicken underneath her shirt, but eventually, it pops his head out exposing himself between Rarity’s shirt and skirt, until Rainbow Dash grabbed the chicken’s neck and got angry at him, but the chicken bit her finger and started pecking her face, until Applejack used a tablecloth to grab the chicken, but she ends up leaving Rainbow Dash blind and covered in the tablecloth like a ghost, but she then trips over the floor and falls down and then Spike growls at the chicken, until it clucked and charged towards him, but Fluttershy kneeled down and gave him the stare, making the vile creature dizzy and Twilight tied him up with a cloth napkin. “There, that should hold him off,” Twilight said.
“Is everyone okay?” Applejack asked. The girls nodded, until they got confused about the chicken. “I just don’t get it. What caused this creature to act this way?” Fluttershy asked. “I don’t know, but that was a close call,” Applejack said. “You said it,” Rainbow Dash replied. “That pollo was loco!” Pinkie Pie said, until the girls made stern looks. “What?”
Later on, they went to the kitchen and looked everywhere for evidence, until Pinkie Pie saw a picture frame of Eduardo. She went to it and found out it had a vault behind it, “Hey! There’s a vault over here! Maybe there’s loot inside!” Sunset realized what she meant, “Or maybe some kind of dark magic potion from Equestria.” Twilight took her laptop out of her bag and tried to hack into the vault’s security code, then numbers popped open and the vault door opened and Rainbow Dash grabbed the jar inside it. “Aha! Wait a minute...” Sunset then took the jar and read the label titled Eduardo’s Secret Salsa Recipe“Is this... salsa?”
“Aww, dang it,” Twilight said. The girls then groaned in disappointment.
“Ooooh! Salsa!” Pinkie Pie said.
After Cadence put Chase in bed, she went back to the living room and read a book. Suddenly, Chase came back down, until Cadence looked at him, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?” Chase then yawned, “I’m thirsty.” Cadence carefully got up and went to the kitchen, got Chase a cold cup of water, let him finish his drink and sent him back to bed. And when Chase was in bed with his drink, she went back to the couch and continued to read her book and waited until Sunset would return.
“I don’t understand. If Eduardo’s not the culprit, then who is?” Sunset asked pacing around thinking. “I don’t know, darling. But I’m sure we’ll find out soon and get this summer break over with,” Rarity said. “You might have a point,” Rainbow Dash said.
Meanwhile, Eduardo returned to the front entrance, only to see that it was already open, “Huh?” He then opened the door and looks around suspiciously. “Somebody’s going to die tonight.....” he said until he started looking around, before he saw his chicken tied up and gasped in horror. “Pollito! What did they do to you?” He asked after he lifted his chicken up. “Pollito, can you hear me?” Pollito clucked in reply, then Eduardo nuzzled his cheek with the chicken, “Who would do this to such a sweet little chicken?” He suddenly heard a noise from the kitchen, “Huh? WHO’S THERE?!”
The girls turn around, while Pinkie was eating chips with the salsa. “Uh oh…” she said with her mouth full with chips and salsa. “He’s here!” Rarity said.
Eduardo grabbed a knife, “You coming out? Or am I gonna go in?”
The girls try to find a way out, but Sunset found a big air vent. Sunset kneeled down and lifted the air vent open. “Quick! This way!” Sunset said as the girls retreated into the vent. Eduardo jumped in the kitchen, but missed the intruders, until he saw that someone’s been eating his secret salsa recipe, and that they went through the vent.
“For once, I’m glad someone has nice clean air vents,” Rarity said. “I forgot to mention that I’m severely allergic to dust and vacuum dirt.”
“Shhhhhh! Don’t you wanna get busted? He’ll hear us!” Sunset said. “Sorry, darling,” Rarity said, until eventually, they made it out of the vent and then went towards the car, until Eduardo came out and then heard them hide, then flipped out 8 knives in each hand, “AHA! I HAVE YOU NOW!” Suddenly, he was ran over by their car. The girls saw Spike driving, “Sorry, he was getting on my nerves.” Twilight rolled her eyes and held him in her arms.
After they got in, they left the restaurant and drove home, until Eduardo woke up dizzy.
Sunset suddenly came back in and saw Cadence sitting on the couch watching “Twilight.”
“Hey, Dean Cadence,” Sunset said, until Cadence was jolted in surprise. “Oh, Sunset! I thought you’d be back by 11,” Cadence said. “Well, I said I’d be back later. Where’s Chase?”
“Oh, I put him to bed,” Cadence said. “Yes, he brushed his teeth.” Sunset nodded, “Thanks for watching him for me.”
“Anytime, Sunset. I should be going now. Call me anytime,”. Cadence said, until she left the apartment and walked home. After that, Sunset went to check on Chase. When she quietly walked in, she slowly covered the remaining corner of his blanket over him, then kissed his cheek, “I love you, buddy.” She then turned his nightlight on, left his room with the door halfway open.
The next day, Chase woke up from his bed and went downstairs for some breakfast, until he got himself a bowl of cereal. After that he went to the couch and watched some TV, until he heard Sunset come down. “Good morning, Chase,” she said. “Good morning,” Chase said. “Are you watching your favorite morning show?” Sunset said. “Mmhmm,” Chase said, until Sunset went to the kitchen to get herself some breakfast.
“Oh, and Chase? Rainbow Dash invited us all over to something. And you and your friends are included,” Sunset said. “So, go get dressed and brush your teeth, then you can resume your episode, okay?” Chase nodded, then paused his episode and went upstairs to get dressed and his teeth brushed, then he came back down and resumed his episode. Suddenly, Sunset came over and watched the episode with him.
When it was 10:55, Sunset and Chase walked over to the park, which had a small stadium decorated in black with green lighting bolts and light green flames. “Sunset, is it okay if I stick with you?” Chase asked. “Are you scared, buddy?” Sunset asked. Chase nodded. “Then, yeah. Sure,” Sunset said, as she placed her hand on his cheek and brought him closer to her hip for comfort.
When they got in, they took their seats where the girls were sitting. They brought Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo along, and Melody, Sam Sam and Seamus. Fluttershy and Twilight sat with Melody, Sam Sam and Seamus, Sweetie Belle sat close to Rarity, Apple Bloom sat with Applejack, and Scootaloo sat down next to Rainbow Dash. Sunset came over and sat between Rarity and Rainbow Dash, then Chase sat on her lap, until she wrapped her arms around his torso so that he would have hands to hold onto.
Then, an announcer came over to introduce the event, “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to get this stadium rumbling for our turn of event: a stunt show starring... The Washouts!” The crowd applauded, as one skateboarder, one roller skater, and one motorcyclist appeared, then they made a pose until green fireworks and confetti popped out, and then the crowd applauded.
The first one wore a black hoodie with green lightning bolts on the front and rings on the bottom and sleeves, black fingerless gloves, dark grey khakis, and green and black lightning print sneakers. He had red skin, greenish brown eyes, and yellow streaked hair. His name was Short Fuse.
The second one wore a black rolled up sleeved t shirt with green lighting bolts, dark grey rolled up shorts with green stripes, dark green tube socks, and black roller skates with green lighting bolts. She had dark purplish gray skin, teal eyes, and curly hair with streaks of white and sky blue. Her name was Rolling Thunder.
The third one wore a black cropped sleeveless motorcycle jacket with green lighting bolts, black long sleeved fingerless gloves with green lighting bolts, black cropped pants, and black combat boots. She had pale turquoise skin, combed golden streaked hair, and amber eyes. Her name was Lightning Dust.
Lightning Dust started off with her motorcycle jumps over huge piles of mud. When she landed, there were no scratches on her. Short Fuse did a cannon blast through a hoop that was lit on fire and landed on a soft mattress with the lighting bolts and flames. Rolling Thunder did a dive into a huge inflatable pool full of hose water.
Then Rolling Thunder did some speed roller skating and Short Fuse did some skateboarding tricks.
After Lightning Dust did motorcycle tricks, she decided to conclude the stunt show by making a huge jump over huge stacks of monster truck tires and then land on the other by riding an ATV in the same colors as her uniform.
When the stunt show was over, Sunset and the girls left, but suddenly they heard a voice from behind, “Rainbow Dash!”
Rainbow Dash turned around and saw Lightning Dust with her hand over her hip, “Lighting Dust? I don’t believe it!” Rainbow and Lightning suddenly went over to each over and made an arm wrestle handshake with each other. “Wow, you’ve actually lost a lot of weight,” Rainbow Dash said. “And so have you,” Lightning Dust said. “So how’ve you been since we’ve departed?”
“Oh, I’ve been doing pretty well,” Rainbow Dash said. “By the way, these are my new friends. This is Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer.”
“Looks like you’ve made some company, but I’m glad you never forgot about me,” Lightning Dust said, until she saw Chase hiding himself behind Sunset’s legs for comfort. “Who’s that over there? Is he your son?” Sunset looked down and patted Chase’s head gently, “He’s actually my brother. This is Chase. Sorry about this, by the way. He’s kinda shy around new people.” Chase slowly walked over and hugged Lightning Dust. “He does that,” Sunset said, until Lightning Dust checked her watch, and then went to the van to pack up, “Okay, I need to go. We’ll meet again, Dashie!”
“Sure thing!” Rainbow Dash hollered back. After they left the park, they all departed their ways and went back home.
In cell 1403, Estella was sitting there in despair and anger because of her prison sentence and her humiliating defeat by Sunset and her friends with their magical powers, and why they protected her nephew. “Grrrr... I don’t understand it. I don’t understand it!” she said in frustration. “Why would that flame haired girl and her so-called friends protect that miserable brat!? He never deserved to be alive! Oh... just you wait, Sunset Shimmer and company... For one of these days, if I ever get out of this wretched place, I will make you all pay!” She then made an evil cackle.
While Chase was in his bedroom sleeping, he was finally getting a good night’s sleep thanks to his nightlight. Until suddenly, he heard a crash that softly woke him up. He got out of his bed and took his flashlight with him.
When Chase got outside quietly, he saw something glowing in the backyard. He went towards it and saw a glowing gemstone. He kneeled down and picked it up. When he touched it, he suddenly began to levitate into gravity and then he felt the energy from the stone flow through him. When he came down, he suddenly began shaking, then he went back inside and saw Sunset reading her book, “SUNSET!” Sunset jolted and saw Chase covered in soot. “Chase, what happened to you? You’re all filthy,” Sunset asked. “Have you been playing with the stove?” Chase shook his head, then showed her the stone. “Chase, where did you get this?” Sunset asked. Chase took her hand and lead her downstairs to the crash site where he found the stone. “A crash landing?” Sunset asked. “Well, that’s odd.” Suddenly, Sunset looked into Chase’s recent memory about what happened earlier, then she let go of him. “You found Equestrian magic?!” Sunset asked. “I’m afraid,” Chase said. “Make it go away.”
“Aww, it’s alright, sweetie. I’m sure it’ll go away tomorrow morning,” Sunset said. “Anyways, you should probably be in bed. It’s late. And don’t worry, I’ll watch over the stone for tonight.” Chase nodded, then Sunset took him back upstairs and tucked him back into his bed and gave him a hug and kiss, “Okay, you get some sleep and I’ll take care of everything.” Chase nodded, then Sunset left the room and took the stone to her bedroom so that she can find out what it is.
Eventually, she decided to write a note in her journal to Princess Twilight about this.
’Dear Princess Twilight,
I know it’s the middle of the night and that’s it’s late, but I think Chase found something by himself. While he was sleeping and while I was reading my book, he snuck out of bed and saw a glowing gemstone crash into our backyard. When he touched it, some strange energy started to bond with him. I hate to say this, but I need your help. If you can find anything, let me know in the morning.

After she was done, she turned off the light and went to sleep.
The next morning, Sunset woke up and went to check on Chase again, until she saw him sleeping calmly. After she realized he was fine, Sunset went downstairs for breakfast, until she saw her journal pulsing and buzzing. After she opened it, a message from Princess Twilight came through.
’Sunset,
I’ve read your message after I woke up and realized what happened to Chase, so I managed to find a book about ancient artifacts, but suddenly, I found this. What Chase found was “The Sorcerer’s Stone.” I couldn’t find what the rest was, but if you come over to Equestria, I can help you and your brother out about the stone and why this is happening to him.

Sunset then nodded and closed her book, and then saw Chase downstairs watching TV. She went to the kitchen and made some pancakes for herself and some for Chase.
“Chase, I made some pancakes,” Sunset said sweetly, until Chase came over to the kitchen and sat down while Sunset cut his buttered pancakes and poured the syrup on them. He was happy that Sunset would always be there for him, until she smiled back at him, then they continued to eat their breakfast.
When they were done, Sunset then thought of something, but suddenly she had an idea, “Chase, how about if you and I go to the mall and buy you some new clothes? Would that be nice?” Chase nodded, “Okay, but I’ve never been to a mall recently.”
Sunset kneeled down and placed her hands on his shoulders, “Don’t worry. I’ll ask Rarity to help out. Now, go get dressed and we’ll go.”
“Okay,” Chase said.
After Chase was ready, Sunset and Chase walked out the door, but Sunset looked at Chase one more time, “Hey, Chase? Instead of you walking... how about if I give you a piggyback ride when we reach the mall? It’s so that you don’t get tired along the way.” Chase nodding, and then Sunset turned backwards, crouched down, and then she let Chase climb onto her back. After he wrapped his arms around her neck, she stood back up and lifted him up from under his legs, “Alright, hold on tight.” Sunset and Chase started walking all the way to the Canterlot Mall.
While they were walking to the mall, Chase thought of something, and asked Sunset a question, “Sunset? Do you think the others will know?”
“About the stone? Yeah, I think so,” Sunset replied. “Don’t worry, though. I’ll do the talking.” Chase nodded, as he hugged Sunset with a soft moan, causing Sunset to give a warm smile and smirk.
When they arrived to the Canterlot Mall, Sunset crouched down to let Chase climb off, then he took his hand and they walked inside together. When they got in, they saw a lot of stores, until they saw the girls chatting with each other. “Sunset! Chase! Glad you two could make it today!” Rainbow Dash said. “Hey, girls,” Sunset said. “Darling, we also brought Melody, Sam Sam and Seamus!” Rarity said. “But they’re with Fluttershy because she’s their babysitter.”
“Well, that’s good,” Sunset said. “Anyways, I’m gonna be busy with something personal, so since I’m not gonna be available, could you take Chase to that store and help him pick out some clothes?”
“Of course, darling,” Rarity said. “Come, Chase. Let us pick you some outfits to wear.” Chase took her hand and they walked to the clothing store. When Rarity and Chase arrived at the clothing store and walked over to the kid’s section, they started to look for suitable clothes for Chase to wear, but he suddenly tugged her skirt gently and showed her the cute shirts he found. “Oh, my! They look so cute!” Rarity squealed. “Which do you like better?” Chase pointed at the cute dinosaur and minions t-shirts, then Rarity took them, and they went to pay for his shirts. ‘I should probably get him some cute pajamas and shirts based on the stuff he likes, and maybe make him some as well for his birthday,’ she thought to herself.
When the girls met up, Chase saw his friends with Fluttershy, and they ran into each other and gave themselves a group hug. “Okay, now that we’ve taken care of everything, how about if we get something to eat?” Sunset asked. The girls made agreeable comments and then they walked over to the food court. After they gathered their food, they met up at a big table and grabbed extra chairs for the kids. Rainbow Dash had a Philly cheese steak and a soda, Pinkie Pie had a turkey club with a strawberry milkshake, Applejack had some chicken nuggets with fries, an apple fritter and a soda, Fluttershy had a caesar chicken salad with Italian dressing and a diet soda, Rarity had a sushi dish with unsweetened iced tea, Twilight had some lo mein, and Sunset had two gorditas and a soda, Chase had a kid’s cheeseburger with fries and a soda, Melody had a crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a soda, Seamus had chicken tenders with fries and a soda, and Sam Sam had a hot dog and a soda.
“By the way, there’s something I need to show you guys,” Sunset said, then she took out the stone from her pocket and showed it to them. The girls gasped, then Sunset started to explain, “Chase found this in our backyard last night and he said its energy bonded with him. I wrote to Princess Twilight about it and she said that it’s something called “The Sorcerer’s Stone.” I believe we’re dealing with Equestrian magic once again. I know we were hoping to kick that off the bucket list, but I don’t think Chase might be able to control its magic.”
“Is it true, Chase? Are ya really cursed?” Seamus asked. Chase nodded, then he began to cry, when he looked at his locket and saw the picture of his parents. “Are those your mommy and daddy?” Melody asked. “Mmhmm. This was my mother’s locket, but she placed the picture inside it for me,” Chase said. “Don’t worry, bruh,” Seamus said. “They ain’t goin’ nowhere from you. They still with ya.” Chase smiled and hugged Seamus, until he hugged Chase back, “I promise.”
When the girls took the kids to the park to play, the kids went to the playground and had some fun. Suddenly, they saw the CMC swinging on the swings. “Hey, girls!” Chase said. “Look, it’s Chase!” Sweetie Belle exclaimed, as they got off the swings and went to give him a hug, and the other kids two. “Hey, Rarity!” Sweetie Belle greeted. “Oh! Hello, Sweetie Belle,” Rarity replied. “You having fun over there, Apple Bloom?” Applejack asked. “Yep! Can we play with them for a little while?” Apple Bloom asked. “Yeah, can we?” Sweetie Belle asked. “Of course, darling,” Rarity said. “Just make sure they don’t get hurt and take good care of them.” The CMC crossed their hearts and then they took Chase and his friends to the tree and they played hide-and-seek.
Until it was Chase’s turn to count, he suddenly began looking and ran fast like a stallion. He suddenly found Seamus and Sam Sam hiding in a tunnel, Melody hiding in the pirate ship with Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle hiding in the castle, and Apple Bloom in the express train one by one. After they decided to end the game, they saw Chase panting. “Chase, you okay, man?” Seamus asked. “I just ran really fast,” Chase said. “Prove it,” Scootaloo said, until Chase ran over to the other side of the park and came back. “Wow! Sunset was right. You do have superpowers!” Sam Sam said. “Rarity! Applejack! Chase has powers!” Sweetie Belle said.
When they were done playing, Sunset took Chase home and she made him some macaroni and cheese for dinner, and herself some chicken and rice. “Did you have fun at the mall?” Sunset asked. “Yeah!” Chase replied, then took another spoonful of macaroni. “I’m glad you did,” Sunset said. “By the way, I wanted to tell you this, but I have to travel somewhere not far from here but in another world for information about what’s happening, but I’m sure Princess Twilight won’t mind if I brought you along. .” Chase smiled warmly and then hugged his sister when he finished his macaroni, then went to the living room and watched some TV.
Sunset then began to think about something, ‘I just hope Princess Twilight really likes him.’
The next morning, after breakfast, Sunset and Chase walked over to the school and stood before the unicorn statue. “Okay, Chase, whatever happens, stay close to me,” Sunset said. Chase nodded, then they both held hands and traveled through the portal by touching it, and then suddenly they crashed through a pile of books.
After Sunset stood up, she was a unicorn with her mane the same color as her hair, and her cutie mark was the same sun symbol. “SUNSET!” a voice appeared. She saw a lavender alicorn with navy blue mane with two streaks colored pink and purple. Her cutie mark was a magenta star. “Hey, Twilight,” Sunset said, giving Twilight a hug with one foreleg over her neck.
Another pony came in, but she was a unicorn who had pale light grayish lavender fur, moderate purple curled mane with light purple and pale light grayish aquamarine streaks, modern Persian blue eyes, and a cutie mark showing a purple and white glimmering star with a aquamarine borealis. “Hey, Sunset,” she said. “If you don’t know me, I’m Starlight Glimmer.”
“Nice to meet you,” Sunset said. “Hey, where’s Chase? Chase?! Can you hear me?!”
“In here, Sunset!” Chase replied, while trapped underneath the books. Starlight used her horn and removed the books and then brought Chase out of there, but he wasn’t a human anymore. When he was revealed, he was on four legs. He was now a unicorn colt with sports gray fur, his mane was ruffled and colored moderate cerulean, dark navy blue, dark green, and pale light grayish green. He had a cutie mark of three shooting stars with green and blue sparkles.
“Chase! You’re a unicorn!” Sunset exclaimed, until she saw him crying. “So, that’s Chase?” Twilight asked. Sunset nodded, “I’ve been taking good care of him since he was found in the snow. I just didn’t know he had a hard life after I met him, so I chose to adopt him.” Twilight smiled warmly, then she went to him, sat next to him and placed her wing over him for comfort, “Chase, are you scared about your new look?” Chase nodded and then hugged the princess and he got his tears on her fur. “Shhhhhh... it’s okay, sweetie,” she said. “You’ll get used to it.”
Starlight went to him and helped him stand up, “Okay, now try walking on four legs.” Chase then slowly walked on his new legs and he finally got the balance. “Good job,” Starlight said, until Chase hugged her, then she smiled warmly and patted his back with her foreleg, “Umm... you’re welcome?”
While Sunset, Twilight, Starlight, and Chase were walking in the hallway, they began to talk about the Sorcerer’s Stone. “I should’ve known this, Sunset. But it sounds like the stone could be a dangerous threat to anyone or anypony anywhere,” Twilight said. “I could imagine if Eduardo Perez could’ve gotten his hands on it,” Sunset said. “In our world, he was a daredevil named El Macho.”
Starlight smirked, “Impressive. So, Chase. I heard you’ve encountered the stone, but what happened then?” Chase tried to remember, but he had trouble, but suddenly he felt electricity zap him. “Whoa... Did you see that? He just unleashed a spark of electricity,” Starlight said. “It must be a side effect from the stone,” Twilight said. “I just had an idea. But you might not like it, Sunset. There maybe one pony who might be able to help, but I don’t know if you two wanna see each other.”
“Who? Oh, right...” Sunset said as she realized who Twilight meant. “Who is she talking about?” Chase asked. “You’ll see,” Starlight said.
While the four ponies made it to Canterlot Castle, they walked inside and entered the throne room.
There were three alicorns sitting on the throne. One of them had light whitish gray fur with huge wings, her mane and tail were flowing and multicolored with glittering streaks of light cerulean, light turquoise, very light cobalt blue, and pale grayish pink, she had pale light grayish magenta eyes, and she had a cutie mark of a sun symbol on gold and yellow on her flank. She wore a tiara, a necklace and golden shoes over her front hooves. Her name was Princess Celestia.
The second had dark blue fur, her blue flowing mane and tail glimmered like the night sky, she had cyan eyes with sapphire blue eyeshadow, and she had a black crown with a black glittery necklace with a crescent moon and she had bluish silver glitter shoes on her front hooves. She had a cutie mark was a black splotched cloud with a crescent moon on her flank. Her name was Princess Luna.
The third one had pale light grayish pink fur with wings that had a tip of purple, she had a straight curly mane and tail colored with a striped mix of violet, moderate rose and pale gold, she had light purple eyes, and she had a cutie mark of a teal crystal heart with gold laces. She also had a gold crown shaped like a fleur de lis, and she wore a necklace and gold shoes on her front hooves. Her name was Princess Cadence.
Chase hid behind Starlight when she turned herself another direction, and Sunset bowed her head looking at Princess Celestia with nervousness.
“So, Princess Celestia,” Twilight said, laughing nervously. “You’ll never guess who’s back! Actually, maybe you can guess because she’s right here!” She leaned over to Sunset’s ear, “Go ahead. Talk to her.” Sunset nodded and then she stepped forward. Starlight wrapped her foreleg around Chase as he hugged her neck, “It’s okay.”
Sunset looked at Princess Celestia and then spoke, “Princess Celestia, the last time we saw each other, the very last time, I was your snide little pupil who both betrayed and abandoned you for no reason. But what I mean to say is that I’ve come before you as a changed pony, humbly asking for forgiveness, guidance and knowledge. But not just for me, but also for my little brother.” She pointed her hoof at Chase. Princesses Luna and Cadence were concerned about the little one.
Princess Celestia stood up and walked over to Sunset, then Sunset cowered, “Or I can just go and you can never see me again, if that’s what you want.” Princess Celestia placed her hoof under her chin and gave her a stern look, then made a warm smile, “I’ve missed you, Sunset Shimmer.”
“I...I’m so sorry,” Sunset said, as she hugged her mentor. Chase had tears in his eyes and went to Sunset. “Princess Celestia, Luna and Cadence, I’d like you to meet my brother, Chase Tucker.” Princess Celestia saw how nervous he was, then placed her hoof over his head and comforted him, “There’s no need to be afraid, little one. I will not hurt you.” Chase then went to the princess and hugged her foreleg, until she rubbed his back, “Perhaps it is time you knew the truth about your sister. You didn’t know this, Chase... but Sunset Shimmer was a former student of mine.” Chase looked towards Sunset, who looked to the floor in shame.
“It was long before she became who she is today. Long before you two even met,” Princess Celestia said. “Back then, Sunset Shimmer used to live here in this world’s version of Canterlot. She began her studies with me not long before Twilight. But when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cruel and dishonest. I tried to help her, but she eventually decided to abandon her studies and pursue her own path. One that has sadly led to her... stealing Twilight’s crown.”
Chase was shocked, until Twilight continued, “Until then, I went to your world to get my crown back, and after me and my friends from your world defeated her, we forgave your sister and decided to teach her the true meaning of friendship, and so far, she’s been getting along really well. But do you think you could tell us about your past and how you met Sunset and why she adopted you?”
Chase began to have tears in his eyes, then Sunset decided to speak as she comforted Chase, “Well, it all started before he was 4. He lived with his parents in a nice suburban neighborhood. His mother was a nurse and his father was a lawyer. But one family member hated him. It was his aunt, Estella Tucker. After she was thrown out from coming to visit, she killed them in a car crash, then abused Chase with slavery, violence, and aggressive attitude, but then he ran away. And on a calm and snowy night, before the last week of February, I found Chase in the alley and took him home with me, and then I introduced him to the people I got along with and I’ve been taking good care of him since Estella’s been sentenced to life in the asylum. And he’s been happy living with me.” Chase smiled and hugged his sister’s foreleg, then she hugged him back. Twilight and Starlight had tears in their eyes because they were surprised that he had a rough life.
“Although this power seems mysterious, I am not familiar with the way the stone bonded with your brother,” Princess Celestia said. “Hmm, indeed,” Princess Luna replied. “The phenomenal cosmic powers of the Sorcerer’s Stone could perhaps lead to an unimaginable catalyst if left unchecked.”
Chase didn’t like to hear that, but he looked at the guards that were giving him angry looks, causing him to feel uncomfortable, but suddenly Cadence flipped her wing over him for comfort, “Don’t worry, sweetie. They’re just doing their job.” Chase nodded and then walked with her.
“So, Chase. Is it true your aunt hurt you?” Princess Celestia asked. “Mmhmm, she hated me,” Chase said. “I didn’t want to live with her.” Starlight suddenly felt sorry for him, so did Twilight. “I also feel a huge surge of love inside you,” Princess Cadence said. “It’s from how much your parents cared for you, and how much your friends and family, including your sister loves you. The stone gave you a powerful protection spell inside you. That spell... is your love for everyone you care.” Chase suddenly hugged the princess.
“The answers that you seek are in the Canterlot library,” Princess Celestia said.
When they all arrived at the library, they saw a lot of ponies picking out some books and others reading them. “Wow, there’s over a billion books in here,” Sunset said. “I know, right?!” Twilight excitedly asked. “But don’t worry. You’re looking at somepony who knows this place like the back of her hoof.” She suddenly saw Princess Celestia going towards a couple of bookshelves, “Where are you going, Princess Celestia?”
“To the restricted section,” Princess Celestia replied. “There might be something that can help,” Princess Cadence said. Twilight suddenly got confused, “Wait, there’s a... a reh... a reh... a reh... a RESTRICTED SECTION?!”
“Breathe, Twilight,” Sunset said, until Chase laughed a little. Suddenly, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna each took their books and lowered them like levers and the bookshelf revealed a secret entrance to the restricted section underneath the library.
“Wow...” Chase said. Twilight made a huge gasp, “Oh my gosh! So many books all unread! Ancient historical artifacts! I just... I thought...! I can’t...! THIS IS AMAZING?!”
“Are you sure you and Starlight are up for helping me go through all of this stuff? It’s a bit much if you ask me,” Sunset asked. Twilight suddenly started to freak out and squished Sunset’s cheeks, “Don’t take this away from me!” Chase laughed out loud. “I should warn you, however,” Princess Celestia said. “Most of these archives may not have the information you seek, but try your best.” Sunset and Twilight both nodded. “Guess we’ll have to read everything!” Twilight said as she flew to a section upstairs and surfed for a few books. “Let’s see... No way! Can you actually believe they have Canterlot Cantabiles Volume 31? I’ve been wanting to read this my whole life! Sunset, that’s where it gets goooooooood! Over here! An original Windigo Weather Warning from the pre-Equestrian era! Ahem! Sorry. Just got carried away. Now you and Starlight see what you can find.” Sunset and Starlight nodded, then they search the shelves in the restricted section for answers.
Few hours later, they found nothing. Chase napped on Starlight‘s back while she kept looking for answers.
Sunset then got exhausted, “Did you know that Chancellor Puddinghead tried to pass a law mandating Earth ponies drink carrot juice at every meal? I do. Know that. Now.”
Twilight smiled warmly at her, “Awww. Sounds like you got to read all the fun books.”
“Well, not just me,” Sunset said, pointing her hoof at Chase. “We should probably take a break from looking...” Twilight said, when Sunset sighed with relief, “because I found something that can help!” She placed a huge brown leather book with gold printing on the back and front covers. Chase and Starlight went over to look. “I don’t suppose you’re familiar with ancient pre-Equestrian artifacts?”
“Well, obviously. Why?” Sunset asked, until Twilight flipped the pages in the book, “Well, these pages date back before the founding of Equestria. Which means that if I find the right page that could...” She suddenly gasped. “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” they said in unison. “It says here that it belonged to a heroic wizard who used the stone to vanquish any evil. With the Sorcerer’s Stone, the wizard could use its power to restore balance, but others wanted it for darkness. Starswirl the Bearded knew the stone couldn’t fall into the wrong hands, so they had no choice but to either send the stone to a safe location or just destroy it. But during a big battle, the wizard gave his life to send the stone away by destroying himself. After that, the stone was gone for good.”
“What happened then?” Chase asked. “I don’t know, sweetie,” Twilight said, until she found a couple of missing pages. “But somehow it looks like the stone must’ve landed in your world. But here’s the worst thing: if the stone is destroyed, then something unknown will happen, either bad or good.”
“Chase and I should be getting back to our world,” Sunset said. “Maybe I can convince my friends that I have a solution, now that I have what I’m looking for.”
Twilight nodded, “The Sorcerer’s Stone. And Chase, I want you to have this. It’s a guidebook to Equestria. It’ll help discover the secret history to our world. Good luck, and try to control your powers.” Chase nodded and gave Twilight a hug, “Aww, aren’t you sweet?” Twilight giggled. “I guess it’s worth a try, if that’s even possible,” Sunset said. “Oh, it’s possible,” Twilight said. “Even though I would have to come back here anytime I want and help reorganize the whole library by subject. Or maybe chronologically! But until then, I’ll figure it out, and I’ll take this book with me and a few more back to my castle and look over as soon as I can. I promise.”
“Thank you. Both of you,” Sunset said. “This means so much to me.”
“This is quite a contrast from the last time we parted ways,” Princess Celestia said. “But you are not that way anymore. With every choice you make, you prove yourself to have a kind heart.”
“Well, I guess I had a good teacher,” Sunset said. “But since I knew how much Chase loved his parents, I wanted to prove myself that I could perhaps show that same love and care he deserves, until I decided to give him a new home and raise him as a brother.” Chase went over and nuzzled his cheek with her chest fur, until Sunset hugged him back, then gave him a kiss on the cheek. “You were also a good student, and a good friend,” Twilight said.
“Are you saying I wasn’t a good teacher?” Princess Celestia angrily asked.
“Oh, no! I wasn’t...! I mean, what I meant...!” Sunset rabbled. “She didn’t say that!” Twilight said, until Princess Celestia started to laugh, then Sunset, Chase, Starlight and Twilight joined in.
Sunset and Chase said goodbye to Twilight and were about to cross the portal, but suddenly they heard a voice, “What's it like back there?” It was Starlight Glimmer.
“It's pretty different. And not so different at the same time. It's kinda hard to explain,” Sunset said. “Heh. Guess you kinda have to go there to really get it, huh?” Starlight asked, until she thought of something. “I, uh, don't suppose...” Sunset realized what she meant, “You really think Princess Twilight would be okay with that? I mean, Chase is pretty shy around new people.”
“I don't know for sure that she wouldn't be okay with it,” Starlight said. “That's not a particularly compelling argument,” Sunset said. “I know,” Starlight said. “But she wants me to learn as much as I can about friendship. And I'm not learning a whole lot just hanging out here in her castle. It’s really boring.”
“Well, I haven't ever seen you in that world,” Sunset said. “Neither had Chase. So chances are you aren't gonna run into yourself.”
“Well, that’s something you don't hear everyday,” Starlight said. “So, just lay low. Don't draw too much attention to your—“ Sunset was cut off by Starlight. “You'll barely even notice I'm there!” she scoffed. “Introducing you to my friends could be a nice distraction,” Sunset said. “And maybe you can meet my friends, too!” Chase exclaimed. Starlight nodded. “But you'll also totally notice I'm there, and it will keep your mind off of other things that might be bothering you, and I can help foalsit Chase. So? What do you think? Can I go back with you two?!” Starlight asked making a cute face. “Hmmm...” Sunset said, thinking for a moment, until Chase made the puppy eyes. Sunset made a smirk when she had an idea.
When they went through the portal, Starlight’s vision was blurry until she saw a pair of hands, “What happened?” Sunset went to her and helped her up, “It's all pretty weird at first, but try to roll with it.” Starlight stood up, and she was a human.
She had her normal colors, but her hair was still curly and straight, and covered with a pink beanie with white stars. She also had a turquoise t-shirt with dark pink crest and rings under a dark grey hooded vest, grey torn jeans, a watch on her wrist, and dark gray boots with pink shoelaces and black soles. She wiggled her fingers, “Are these?”
“Hands,” Sunset replied. Starlight raised her leg up and wiggled her foot, “And what happened to the rest of my hoo—“ Sunset cut her off, “Feet! Those are feet. Remember the whole thing where I said you need to lay low? Now would be a good time to play it cool, and maybe Chase can help you walk like we do.” Chase nodded. “Oh. Right. Heh. Play it cool. Heh-heh,” Starlight said, as Chase helped her walk, then she got the hang of it, “You did say I'd make a good distraction.” Sunset rolled her eyes, then Chase kept Starlight in balance. Starlight suddenly walked with Sunset and Chase to their apartment.
The next day, Starlight, who was wearing a turquoise pajama set of a t-shirt with three buttons on the crest and dark pink sleeves and crest, dark pink pants, and dark aquamarine slippers on her feet, was thinking about how humans walk with those strange legs and how they use their hands to grab or touch things. Until she saw Chase come down looking tired. “Hey, buddy,” Starlight said softly. “Do you want to sit down?” Chase nodded and then he sat next to Starlight and laid down on her lap. Starlight then realized what he was doing, then she rolled with it by stroking his arm and hair.
Suddenly, Sunset came downstairs and saw Chase laying on Starlight’s lap, then Chase woke up and saw Sunset standing there with donuts and coffee, but a small chocolate milk bottle for Chase. After they had their donuts and got themselves dressed, Sunset and Chase took Starlight to the park to meet up with the girls.
When they saw the six girls sitting on a picnic blanket with a basket, Sunset, Chase, and Starlight went to the girls and sat with them. “Girls, this is Princess Twilight’s student, Starlight Glimmer. She’s from Equestria,” Sunset said. Starlight suddenly started to recognize the girls, “Rarity? Fluttershy? Rainbow Dash? Applejack? Pinkie Pie? Twilight? Spike? How’d you guys get here?”
“No, no, no, Starlight,” Sunset said. “They’re our friends from this world.” Starlight then realized what she meant, Chase went to play with his friends at the playground. “By the way, Starlight, darling...” Rarity said, “is it true that you are Princess Twilight’s student?” Starlight nodded, “Well, I’m still learning about friendship and why it’s important, but so far, I guess I can keep learning by staying in this world for a little while. And probably learn more about you, Sunset.”
“And you can also help babysit Chase, too,” Sunset said. “Well, if you have the time.” Starlight nodded, then she joined their picnic.
Meanwhile, the kids were playing a role play of Sweetie Belle being an evil sorceress and Chase and his friends trying to stop her.
“Hahahaha! With this beautiful jewelry of power, I’m unstoppable! Nothing can stop me! I will rule with an iron fist, but who can ever try to stop me?” Sweetie Belle said with an fake evil cackle.
“There’s only some that will, your highness!” Chase said. “Which is us, Team Good Guys!”
“Yeah! Get ready to feel the thunder!” Seamus said doing a kung fu stance. “Ha! Mere mortals are no match for my powerfully wicked beautifulness!” Sweetie Belle said. “Grr! Laugh it up, lady!” Sam Sam said. “Because you’re gonna be sorry in a couple seconds, when we kick all your butts and destroy your evil army forever!”
“That’s right! Because there’s four of us and only one of you!” Melody said, until Apple Bloom and Scootaloo appeared and pretended to be giant monsters. “Oh no! Giant mutant monsters!” Melody said dramatically, then the preschoolers charged towards the Crusaders and they pretended to fight each other by laughing and giggling, and they made sound effects.
Sunset and the girls were adoring the action. “Awwwwwwwww...,” they said in unison. “Are they supposed to be doing something?” Starlight asked. “It’s called playing with your friends,” Sunset said. “It’s also fun to imagine something that they want to do.” Starlight then understood.
“By the way, I’ve read some terrible news from Shining Armor,” Twilight said. “Sunset, get Chase over here. He needs to know.” Sunset nodded, “Chase! Come here!” Chase and the kids came over, then they sat with Sunset and Fluttershy. “Chase, I have some bad news,” Twilight said. “Your aunt, Estella, she’s escaped from the asylum.” Chase realized what she meant, then he had an image of Estella flash in his head. “No! No, I don’t want to see her again! I wanna stay with Sunset!” Chase said, as he hugged his sister. “Chase, it’s okay,” Sunset said, until Chase started to freak out. “Chase, calm down!” Seamus said.
“Sweetie, let it go,” Sunset said. “Close your eyes.” Chase closed his eyes, “Deep breath.” Chase breathed deeply in and out, then Sunset gave him a hug. Starlight thought of something, and made a brainstorming grin, “Hey, would it be alright if I joined in the fun?” The girls nodded, then Starlight got up and ran towards the kids and then they ran from Starlight with giggles and screams.
When Starlight caught Chase, she scooped him up and gave him a raspberry on his belly and then she laid down on the ground, until the other three kids came over and tackled her. That made Chase feel better.
Few hours later...
After they all got home, Chase and Sunset sat down to cool down. “Chase, don’t worry. I’ll write to Princess Twilight about this,” Sunset said. “Just relax.” Chase nodded and then he cuddled with Sunset.
Meanwhile, Estella was walking inside her mansion wearing a white tiger jacket and black dress pants and heels. She was still angry about her defeat when she looked at her clothing collection and then looked at her nephew’s picture frame, “Grr... Now that I’m free at last... Just you wait, Sunset Shimmer and friends! Soon, I’m gonna make you pay!” She then remembered how the girls defeated her and got her sentenced to the asylum, “Dear Chase may not be under my care no more. He escaped from me, but soon, I shall wreak my vengeance on you all.” Then she saw a advertisement paper about Eduardo’s Salsa and Salsa restaurant downtown. “Oh, yes,” Estella said until she recognized him. “El Macho, my model. You were truly are a bold one. And I think I know just where to find you.” She then made an evil cackle.
Meanwhile, at Eduardo’s restaurant, Estella was eating a quesadilla and waited for Eduardo to come out. But suddenly, he came out dancing to Mexican music.
When he went to the back, he had an argument with his lawyers about his restaurant’s budget.
“No! No! No! No! No! No!” Eduardo said angrily. “I will not sell my restaurant to the likes of you! I’ve been having excellent customer service and this is how you plan to repay them!?”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Perez,” the first lawyer said. “If you do not pay for your bills until less than a month, you will be evicted from your restaurant forever.”
The shouting continued, until Estella knocked on the door. “GET OUT! No! No! Aaaah! NOT HERE!” Eduardo hollered, until he realized he snapped at a woman. “Forgive me, señorita. These men are giving me a hard time.”
“Only two foolish lawyers giving you a hard time?” Estella asked. “Oh, my dear Eduardo Perez, the world is truly unfair for the two of us.”
“Get out, of I’ll make you!” Eduardo said, then the lawyers left. “Oh, señorita Estella Tucker, my inspiration of life, in my restaurant. I am so sorry for the lawyers.” Estella then made a confused look, “Lawyers? After they did over some silly little budget I bought, you still claim to struggle with them? No!”
“And here you are, my lady. Free from prison,” Eduardo said, until he took a look at his El Macho uniform. “El Macho...” Estella said, “I plan to propose an alliance. Just us together, and you will help me get my revenge on... THIS BOY!” She showed Eduardo her picture of Chase. “Him? From the Sweet Shoppe? With those seven girls?”
“When did you see them!?” Estella asked. “I saw them three weeks ago, but I was asking for cupcakes for my summer Fiesta de Carnival party,” Eduardo replied. “You see, those girls carry magic,” Estella said. “They will form pony ears and their hair will extend into ponytails. And worse, they’ll unleash their power! I bet we could use... this against them!” She showed Eduardo black crystal roots in a huge container with green and dark purple auras. “I bet you can crack this open!” Estella and Eduardo shook hands.
Chapter 14: Chase’s Slumber Party at Rarity’s/The Ooze
While Sunset and Starlight were at the apartment doing research on the stone, Melody, Sam Sam and Seamus came over for their sleepover with Chase. Chase and his friends were playing with their toys, until Sunset started to lose concentration. “Kids! Please... keep it down,” Sunset said. “Sorry, Sunset,” the kids replied in unison. Sunset then made a warm smile, then she kept looking into the book of ancient artifacts, but still found nothing. Starlight couldn’t find anything either.
“This is hard,” Sunset said. “How am I supposed to watch over four kids in a slumber party if I some Equestrian research to do, especially if Chase’s life is at stake?!” Starlight put her hand over Sunset’s shoulder, “Relax. You’ll find an answer soon.” Sunset nodded and then continued reading, until she thought of an idea about Chase’s slumber party.
“You want me to what?” Rarity asked. “But Sunset darling, I’m way behind on schedule! And I’m far too busy with these outfits to make for my client’s grand formal gala!”
“I understand, Rarity,” Sunset said. “I’m busy, too. And so is Dean Cadence, due to her pregnancy. I just need some room to think.” Rarity then looked at the kids with puppy eyes, then made a warm smile. Rarity saw how serious Sunset was, then thought for a moment. “Oh, alright,” Rarity said. “But I‘ll need to think about it first, because I need to finish on where I left off, and then I’ll have time to watch over them.” Sunset nodded, then kneeled down towards the children, “Okay, kids. Rarity’s gonna look after you until tomorrow morning. Make sure you behave and do what she says. I’ll be back to take three of you home to your families and then Chase home to my apartment. Rarity, I know you’re busy, but can you please try your best?”
“Oh, Sunset. Don’t be ridiculous,” Rarity said. “Just continue with your work and I’ll deal with these sweet little darlings. And I’ll make sure they’re in bed on time.” Sunset nodded and then went back to the apartment, then Rarity went to finish up her outfits for her client’s gala, “There, that should do it. Now, I should probably...” She then went upstairs and saw the kids set up their stuff in her bedroom.
“Whatever are you four doing?” Rarity asked. “We’re setting up our stuff, but we have no room to put our sleeping bags,” Chase said. “Where are we going to sleep tonight?” Sam Sam asked with a sad cute face, then began to cry. “Awww... Don’t worry, Samuel darling. I’ve got it covered,” Rarity said, until she gave him a kiss on the cheek, and then set up her bed for them to set up their sleeping bags. “There you go, children. Spare room for the night.” The kids set up their sleeping bags and pillows, then they went downstairs for a while, until Rarity saw them playing ball by rolling it on the carpet.
Then later on, the kids were doing some quiet coloring until Rarity came back with some fast food for dinner. She got herself a spicy chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing, and she got the kids some kid’s meals.
She got Chase a kid’s plain cheeseburger with fries and a soda, Melody and Sam Sam some chicken nuggets with fries and two sodas, and Seamus a kid’s crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a soda. After they finished eating, Rarity let them share the bathtub so that they can smell clean in the morning.
After the bath, she let the kids change into their pajamas and she put on “Finding Nemo.”
Chase was wearing his dinosaur footsie pajamas Rarity made him, Melody wore a unicorn nightgown with unicorn slippers, Sam Sam wore a whitish sandy tan and light green long sleeve pajama set, and Seamus wore football pajamas.
Rarity put on her nightgown and slid her slippers on her feet, then came downstairs and sat down on her couch. The kids went to Rarity and sat on the couch with her, but she let them lay down with her. Chase laid on her left side, Seamus laid on Melody’s lap while she laid on Rarity’s lap, and Sam Sam laid on her right side and had his cheek pressed on her right breast.
After they finished “Finding Nemo,” the kids played with their toys for a while. Few minutes later, Rarity came back to check on the kids, then they saw her, “It ain’t fun with a babysitter not around,” Seamus said. “Yeah, but at least we have you,” Chase said. Rarity smiled warmly, then cleared her throat, and pointed her thumb towards the stairs, “Alright, children. Bedtime.” The kids were now depressed. “Don’t worry, darlings,” Rarity said. “I’ll make you some pancakes tomorrow morning.”
“YAY!” The kids replied with a cheer. “Now, upstairs and into bed please. I’ll be right up to tuck you in,” Rarity said. “Perhaps I should read you a story first.”
When the kids went upstairs, they went to the sink and brushed their teeth, went potty, and Melody asked Rarity to brush her hair. After they were in their bed, Rarity zipped their sleeping bags and covered the lightweight blanket over them to keep them warm, and pulled out a book copy of “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax,” and read it to them.
After she finished reading the book, the kids gave her a group hug and laid back to fall asleep, then Rarity tucked them and herself underneath the blanket one more time and gave them kisses on their foreheads, “Goodnight, children.” She looked at the kids one more time, “Awww... They are such adorable little darling children, sleeping like sweet little angels.” Rarity then yawned, laid on her back, turned off the light, flipped her sleep mask over her eyes and went to sleep. Suddenly she felt a small press on her belly, and she saw Chase snuggling with her, so she placed her hand on his cheek and then she went back to sleep.
The next morning, Rarity woke up and saw the kids sleeping and snuggled in the bed’s warm blanket. Then, she got out of bed, put her purple plush bed robe on and tied her sky blue metallic strap around her waist and then put her slippers on her feet and then went downstairs to the kitchen and then got herself a cup of latte. Then she started to make the pancake batter, and poured some spoonfuls onto the griddle until they were fluffy and golden brown. When the pancakes were placed on the table stacked on a plate, the kids came downstairs and sat down on the table and Rarity served the pancakes on each of their plates, then served herself some pancakes, then they started eating once they were cut and topped with butter and syrup. When they were done, Rarity took the plates to the dishwasher, then the kids went upstairs to get dressed and brush their teeth, then they packed up their bags and met Rarity downstairs to head over to Sunset’s house after she would take Melody, Sam Sam and Seamus home.
Meanwhile, at the mansion, Estella and Eduardo were in a laboratory they set up for a fellow scientist they hired who works with genetics. He had white skin, brown eyes, and dark grey hair. He wore a white lab coat over a light blue long sleeve shirt underneath a black patterned vest, a red bow tie. His laboratory had a desk made of stainless steel and topped with a computer, some drawers for files on research, a chemistry set and some other lab equipment. His name was Dr. Marcus Bernstein. “Now, Dr. Bernstein, if you be a good boy, I won’t hurt you. Just crack the code on the canister,” Estella said with a softly threatening tone. Dr. Bernstein took the canister that had the crystal roots inside and began to crack the code on the computer, then suddenly, the coding worked. The digits revealed the code which turned out to be “623D5CE426,” and then the canister was connected to miniature pipes and then an dark purple oozing liquid was being drained into smaller containers and then Estella decided to test the ooze on a test subject with a small dose.
Eduardo brought in a test subject which turned out to be a sleeping prisoner in chains and shackles, until he was placed on a chair with restraints. Then Estella showed Dr. Bernstein the case with several vials of the ooze and gave it to him with a mechanical needle gun, “Load one up. Show me how it works.” Dr. Bernstein then took a vial from the case and took the needle gun from Estella, “It won’t work. Genetic mutation’s not possible. If it really occurred it would-”
“Just kill him and spread disease? Don’t be ridiculous,” Estella said. “You’re just too stupid to know it.” Dr. Bernstein then infused the ooze with the needle, then Estella touched his shoulder, “Do it. Now.”
Dr, Bernstein slowly walked towards the sleeping prisoner and held his arm and slowly injected the ooze into the vein of his forearm and then removed the needle from him, and stood back. “It’s done,” he said. “Good,” Estella said. “Now, get back. Eduardo, the shackles, if you please.” Eduardo nodded and then removed the prisoner’s shackles, but suddenly he heard him grunting and then he was starting to sweat.
When he kneeled on the floor, he yelled in pain and then his uniform was tearing itself apart, until Dr. Bernstein activated the emergency protocol. Suddenly, the man was changing into something monstrous. He became a man-bat with a huge wingspan, and oddly shaped hands. He screeched and tried to break the glass with his fists. Suddenly, the creature saw through their bodies and tried to feast off their blood, but the glass was too strong, so the man-bat hung upside down to rest until he was needed.
“I don’t believe this. That ooze that contained magic can turn anyone into deformed animals?” Estella asked. “I’m afraid so,” Dr. Bernstein said nervously. “I believe that we could recruit a few more for your project. After we have enough mutants, you will finally have your revenge,” Eduardo said. Estella nodded and then she gazed at her experiment.
When the kids were taken home to their families because Sunset texted her about a surprise for them, Chase and Rarity finally made it back to Sunset’s apartment, then they went inside and saw the other girls sitting in the living room. “Hey, Chase. We’re going somewhere fun today, just you, me and our friends,” Sunset said. “I’ve realized you watched some kid’s movies involving dinosaurs, so we’re going to the Dinosaur Park,” Twilight said. “Plus, I’ve learned about these creatures back in Crystal Prep and in Canterlot High.” Chase was excited, until he saw his friends come back, and Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo came with because they wanted to be with their sisters. Then, when everyone was ready, they went to Applejack’s truck and drove to the Dinosaur Park.
When they arrived, they got their wristbands, scanned themselves for metal, and got their tickets checked, they went through the gate and saw the entire park with many animatronic dinosaurs and a discovery center with discoverable fossils, interactive biography notes, and some gift shops and food courts. They went up ahead and checked out the animatronic dinosaurs. They a tyrannosaurus, 9 velociraptors, a huge valley with a couple triceratops, stegosaurs, hadrosaurs, apatosaurs, brontosaurs, and brachiosaurs. They also saw pterodactyls flying with rails and sitting on branches.
Then after eating some pizza and burgers at the food court, they went to see dinosaur eggs hatch, find some fossils, tried the petting zoo, and went on the safari, and tried the gift shop. Pinkie Pie found some dinosaur toys and plushies for the kids and Rarity found some fabulous clothes that this park has. After they had fun, they went back to the parking lot and went home.
When Chase, Starlight and Sunset got back to the apartment, they received a visit from Cadence and Shining Armor who wanted to come over for dinner tonight and hang out with their favorite step-nephew. Chase went over and gave his favorite step-aunt a hug, and then she hugged him back by patting his shoulders and gently stroking his hair while his head was gently pressed on her belly. “How’s my little step-nephew?” Cadence asked. “I’m fine, Auntie Cady,” Chase said. “Am I still allowed to call you that, since you’re now my step-aunt?” Cadence giggled, then kissed his forehead, “Of course you are. I would never say no.” Chase smiled warmly and then hugged her belly again, until Cadence looked at Starlight. “So, you’re Starlight Glimmer?” she asked. “Sunset’s told me about you. You’re from the pony world, right?” Starlight nodded, “Yep, I just wanted to come here and learn about your species and what’s so fascinating about it.”
Cadence and Shining Armor were surprised, until Cadence was cut off by a kick from her abdomen, then Chase rubbed her stomach, “Aww, Chase... you’re too sweet... Thank you.” Chase then gave her one more hug, then went to play with his toys. Then Sunset had a talk with Cadence and Shining Armor, “So, how far all are you?”
“I’m just about there,” Cadence said. “Possibly 8 months, but next week, I’ll be 9 months or my baby will be born early.” Sunset nodded, “I see. Are you two excited about the yacht trip?” Cadence and Shining Armor nodded in agreement. “I’m sure whenever the baby is born, she’ll enjoy it,” Shining Armor said. “And you too, honey,” Cadence said, giving her husband a kiss on the lips, then she saw Chase playing with his dinosaur and LEGO soldiers.
While everyone was having meatloaf with vegetables and butter noodles for dinner, Chase wanted to tell Cadence and Shining Armor something he could not hold anymore, “Auntie Cady, I wanna tell you and Uncle Shiny something.” Cadence put down her fork for a second then looked at him, “What is it, sweetheart?”
“I also discovered a rock in my backyard, but it had magic and I became a superhero,” Chase said. “He’s talking about this,” Sunset said, showing Cadence a sketch of the Sorcerer’s Stone. “I don’t get it,” Cadence said, suddenly she saw Chase levitating some vegetables over to him and scooped a spoonful. Everyone at the table gasped when they found out Chase has the ability to use the Force. “Whoa... I didn’t know that could happen,” Sunset said.
When Cadence and Shining Armor went home, Sunset called the girls and the kids over. Suddenly, they came in through the door. “We got here as soon as we could. Did something happen?” Twilight asked. “I don’t know,” Sunset said. “But I put Chase in time out so that he can calm himself for a little while, because something happened at dinner. Somehow, I think he had the ability to use the Force, meaning levitate objects like how Twilight does but with gravity.” The girls made confusing looks, then suddenly Sunset realized he was calm. “Chase? Do you feel better now?” Sunset asked in a soft voice. Chase nodded, then he went to Sunset and gave her a hug. Suddenly Pinkie Pie jumped, “PEEKABOO!” Chase suddenly screamed and an energy orb covered him and he started to curl into a ball and started crying and shaking. “What the heck, Pinkie?!” Rainbow Dash asked. “I was trying to make him laugh,” Pinkie Pie said, then realized what he was really feeling. “Oh...”
“It’s okay, darling. You can come out,” Rarity said, then Chase looked at her and then hugged her, then Sunset took him and spoke up, “Can we all hang out sometime tomorrow, but if you’re all busy tomorrow, that’s fine.”
The girls made agreeable comments and then left the apartment so Sunset can take Chase upstairs for a bath.
It was 4:30 in the morning, until Sunset got a text from Shining Armor about some good news. Sunset had to wake up her brother and told him the news about his step-aunt, “Chase, your step-aunt is delivering her baby at the hospital, so get dressed and wait for the others to come pick us up. You can sit with your step-aunt in the back seat.” Chase got up in excitement, got his clothes on, brushed his teeth, grabbed his go bag, and walked with Sunset to the car that drove over.
When Sunset sat in the front row and Chase sat with his step-aunt who laid on the entire back row, and she was perfectly calm. “Auntie Cady, is she gonna be okay?” Chase asked nervously. “It’s okay, sweetie. I’m sure she’ll be healthy,” Cadence said, rubbing her belly, until she saw Chase rubbing his eyes. “Why don’t you sleep with me? You look so tired.” Chase nodded and then laid on her stomach and got out his blanket and wrapped it around him to keep him warm.
When everyone all got to the hospital, they all sat down and waited for the good news about Cadence’s baby when she and Shining Armor went to a delivery room to give birth to their daughter.
’One hour later...’
When the kids were asleep because they were bored, Fluttershy and Rarity let them lay on their laps, and then Sunset read a book, until a nurse came out. She had white skin, blue eyes, and pink hair tied in a bun, and she was wearing a light gray shirt and pants, white sneakers with pink shoelaces and pink socks and a white hat with a purple cross and lavender hearts on each corner. Her name was Nurse Redheart.
“Hello, everyone. Sorry to disturb you, but her baby is ready to see you,” she said softly in a happy voice, until Chase ran to the delivery room door. Nurse Redheart slowly opened the door and they saw Cadence cradling her baby and pressed her little cheek towards her breast.
Chase came over and Cadence let him lay with her, until he saw the baby with pinkish white skin, light purple curly hair with blue streaks and big cute blue eyes. She had tiny hands and feet and she had a small baby boy blue bow in her hair. Everyone made a “d’awwww” reaction at the sleeping baby who was wrapped in a baby girl pink blanket. “Everyone, meet your niece, Flurry Heart,” Cadence said. Chase suddenly felt Flurry place her little hand on his, then Chase looked at Flurry one more time. “I’m sure we’ll be the best of friends, little cousin,” Chase said, until he closed his eyes and yawned, then fell asleep. When they left, Shining Armor let Cadence rest after she kissed his lips and got some rest from all that pressure.
The next day, Cadence and Shining Armor came back from the hospital and took Flurry home with them. After that everyone went home to get some rest and ready for another new day.
At their apartment, Sunset was tucking Chase into bed after his visit at the hospital, “Did you like your cousin, Chase?” Chase nodded, “Yeah, but I’ll be sure to be there for her. Will she come on the yacht with us?” Sunset nodded, “Yep, and her parents.” Chase smiled warmly and then hugged Sunset, until she laid him back down on his bed, covered his blanket over him and gently gave him a kiss on the forehead, “Goodnight, little buddy. I’ll see you in the morning.” Sunset left the room and closed the door halfway.
Chase then thought about Flurry, ‘I’m gonna like Flurry as a cousin. She was so little and gentle like me. Maybe we have something in common.’ After the thinking, he went to sleep.
When Sunset was done with her breakfast and finished feeding Chase his breakfast, they both packed up their suitcases because they’re going on the yacht with their friends and families. Chase invited his friends to the trip, so he made sure he had enough tropical clothes, pajamas and swimsuits for the trip. He also packed his toys, coloring stuff, and toiletries.
When Chase was packed up, he met up with Sunset and she was wearing the same sundress from the beach trip. Then, he took her hand and they went to the car and put their stuff in the trunk. After that, they sat down with their friends and they wore their clothes from the beach trip. Sunset sat with Twilight and Rainbow Dash.
Chase sat with Rarity, Fluttershy, Melody and Sam Sam. Chase saw Cadence and Shining Armor in the back seat and he saw Flurry Heart in her travel car seat sleeping and had a sky blue blanket with white clouds wrapped around her and she had a white pacifier with aqua blue gelatin coating and a sky blue ring in her mouth. Her travel seat also had a model of plush fish.
Chase sat back down and sat between Sam Sam and Fluttershy, until they started to drive down to the pier. Chase then had his hands folded on his lap, until he took out his locket and looked at the picture of his parents, then kissed his locket, then had tears leak down from his eyes. Fluttershy suddenly heard him cry until she saw him holding his locket, then she rubbed his back in a small circle and then she gave Chase a hug, until she let Chase lay down on her lap to sleep until they would arrive.
When they got to the pier, they unloaded their suitcases from the trunk, got scanned for metal, checked their passports, and then got on board the yacht. Later on, they assigned themselves in a multi sized room and got some spare bedrooms each other while Cadence and Shining Armor, along with Flurry Heart assign themselves to the master bedroom. After their stuff was unpacked and their suitcases were placed under the beds, they decided to go outside and enjoy the sun and swim in the pool for a while, so they applied some sunscreen on themselves, until Cadence put some sunscreen on Chase, then Flurry.
After everyone was in their swimsuits while some stayed in their sundresses, they went to the pool and beach chairs where everyone from Canterlot High was enjoying their time on the yacht. Some were on chairs, some were in the pool, and some were at the bar. Chase suddenly saw his friends and some of the girls sitting on beach chairs and some swimming in the pool. Chase went into the pool and swam over to the others, and then they all had some fun. Suddenly, Sunset came over and held Chase in her arms, then wrapped him in for a hug. “Sunset, can we swim together? Please?” Chase asked with cuteness. “Of course we can,” Sunset replied, then she kissed his nose. Later on, Chase was happily swimming with his sister, then they had some fun and some laughs.
After they had a nice swim, Sunset saw Rainbow Dash come over with a volleyball in her arm, “Hey, Sunset! You wanna be in a volleyball game with us?!” Sunset then looked at Chase who pressed his cheek on her breast, then thought of an idea, “We’re in.”
Rarity suddenly saw 5 girls walking over. It was Sunny Flare, Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, and Lemon Zest. Sunny Flare wore a pale pinkish lavender two piece related to Rarity’s with the symbol of her hair clip on the center and her bottom, Sour Sweet wore a tankini in maroon and light green with a cherry sticker, Indigo Zap wore a navy blue athletic two piece but her bottom was swim shorts, Sugarcoat wore a maroon and pale purple two piece like Sunset, and Lemon Zest wore an hourglass shaped bikini in maroon and lime green with an image of pie slices.
“Hello, girls,” Cadence said, rocking her baby to sleep in her travel seat. “Hi, Dean Cadence,” they said in unison, then they got some sunscreen on themselves and went into the pool, and joined Sunset and her friends for some volleyball.
After being in position, Sunset put Chase on her shoulders and then she held his knees still so that he wouldn’t fall off. Then, they started playing the game. Rainbow Dash served the ball first, then it went back and forth with the other players until Chase bopped it, and then the game continued until the final round ended and when CHS won against Crystal Prep fair and square. Chase then swam over to the Crystal Prep girls, “No hard feelings?” Chase asked, then Sunny Flare went to him and gave him a hug, “No hard feelings.” She then gave him a small kiss on the forehead. “Can we hang out next time?” Chase asked. “Mmhmm. Yeah, we can hang out next time,” Sour Sweet said, “Just hope we’re not too busy with anything.” The girls made agreeable comments, then Chase saw Sunset come over and she took him out of the pool to dry off because it was almost time for dinner.
When they got changed and got cleaned up, they went to the buffet for some dinner. Rarity got herself a t-bone steak with mashed potatoes and cooked broccoli, Applejack got herself the same steak, but with corn, beans and a bread roll with butter, Rainbow Dash got herself some pork chops, Twilight and Fluttershy got some meatloaf for themselves, Pinkie Pie got herself a burger, and Sunset got the kids some kid’s meals and herself some beef lasagna.
Sunset ordered Chase some spaghetti and meatballs, Sam Sam some chicken tenders and steak fries, Seamus a cheeseburger, and Melody some macaroni and cheese. She also got them some Pepsi, but Melody ordered a Sprite. “Bon appétit,” the waiter said to the children, then walked off. The kids and the girls began to eat their dinner, until Starlight came over with some fish and chips and a soda. She wore a aquamarine tank top with green rings and her northern lights star symbol, pale grayish purple skirt, and purple crocs.
When they finished dinner, they decided to head back to their room and watch the night sky together. They saw how big the moon was and how beautiful the stars were glimmering. After a few minutes of watching the sky, Sunset and the girls took the kids back inside and got them ready for bed. When the kids were bathed and dressed into their pajamas, the girls went to bed. Then, Sunset realized that the kids were asleep, until she got up, tucked them under the blanket, gave Chase a kiss on the cheek, then went back to bed.
The next morning, the girls woke up and decided to get themselves some breakfast since there was food in the pantry. Then the kids woke up one by one, but Chase couldn’t get up because he was so tired. Sunset went over to check on Chase after getting her coffee, then she sat down next to Chase and then stroked his hair. Chase suddenly started to wake up and then went to the kitchen for breakfast. Rarity gave Chase a bowl of cereal and a kiss on the cheek. When everyone finished breakfast, they got dressed and showered, they left the room and went to do some fun activities.
Rarity and Sunset took the kids over to the miniature golf course, Rainbow Dash did some wall climbing, the kids did the paddle boat race with the girls cheering for them, they all watched a children’s music show on stage with the kids, and got some ice cream. Chase got a small soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in a cup, Melody got a small soft served strawberry in a cup, Sam Sam got a small soft served creamsicle with chocolate sprinkles in a cup, and Seamus got a soft served twist of vanilla and cookies and cream with chocolate sprinkles in a cup. The girls got themselves some milkshakes.
After they got inside, the kids went to the floor and played with their toys while Fluttershy watched over them. After a few minutes later, the kids got bored. “Man, this don’t feel right,” Seamus said. “Yeah, what do we do now?” Sam Sam asked. “How about if I take you four to the pool?” Fluttershy asked. When they heard what she said, the kids put on their swimsuits, and then Fluttershy applied some sunscreen on them one at a time. Seamus wore red swim trunks, Melody wore a pink hourglass shaped swimsuit with a sky blue skirt and teal stripes, Sam Sam wore a sand tan swim shirt with green swim trunks, and Chase wore his casual blue shark swimsuits.
After they left the room, Fluttershy took the kids to the pool and then she went back to her chair. Suddenly, the kids jumped into the pool and then did some swimming, splashed each other and had some laughs. Rarity took a peek at the kids playing in the pool, then made a “d’awwww” reaction. Sunset realized that the kids were okay and playing safely. Suddenly, the kids got out of the pool later on and Fluttershy got them some towels to dry themselves off on.
After they got back to the room, Rarity took the kids to the bathroom for a bath. When the kids were all clean, they were in their pajamas and then Rarity came back with dinner for the kids. She got Chase a cheeseburger, Sam Sam some chicken tenders with fries, Melody some macaroni and cheese, and Seamus some fried chicken. After the kids were eating their dinner, the girls were about to go out to dinner by themselves, “Starlight, is it okay if you watch over the kids until we get back. Remember: bedtime at 9:30,” Sunset said. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything,” Starlight said. “Okay, we’ll see you later,” Sunset said. “Kids. Remember: bedtime at 9:30.” The kids nodded, then the seven girls left, leaving Starlight in charge of the kids.
When the girls went to a fancy restaurant in the yacht, they were assigned to a table for seven.
Later on, they ordered some food. Rarity ordered parmesan crusted chicken, Applejack ordered a panko breaded fish fillet, Rainbow Dash ordered a Italian meatloaf, Fluttershy ordered poached scallops with shrimp and dip, Pinkie Pie ordered calamari, Twilight ordered steak, and Sunset ordered crab cakes with a salad.
“I don’t get it,” Sunset said. “Chase appears to be normal, but I still know that the stone is still affecting him. I think he’s trying to... HE MUST BE CONTROLLING HIS POWERS!” The girls were amazed. “That’s splendid, darling,” Rarity said in joy. “Maybe the stone only works with some kind of emotional trigger!” Twilight said, “If he gets scared, he sets up a force field. If he’s happy, he’ll use any type of magic that makes him happy, but I don’t know what happens... when he’s...”
“Angry?!” They asked in unison. “Oh, I don’t even wanna guess. It may not sound good,” Fluttershy said. “It might make a huge exploding mess!” Pinkie Pie said. “Yep, and it ain’t gonna be pretty, but so far, I think he can handle it so far,” Applejack said. “I sure hope so,” Sunset said. “Let’s finish up dinner, then we can go back to the room and check on the kids before we go to bed.” The girls nodded in agreement, then they continued to eat their dinner before it got cold.
Back at the room, Starlight and the kids were watching “How To Train Your Dragon” while eating popcorn. After the movie, the kids did some free time by playing with their toys, drawing some pictures, and reading some books. Suddenly, the girls came back from dinner, and they saw Starlight watching over the kids like she was supposed to.
“Aww, they’re such sweet little angels,” Fluttershy said. “Were they any trouble, darling?” Rarity asked. “No, no, no! Of course not!” Starlight said. “They’re fine! As long as they have a suitable adult around, the kids will be okay.” Sunset smiled warmly and then the girls went to socialize.
Meanwhile, the kids tried to tuck themselves into bed. “Sam Sam, are you cold?” Melody asked. “Sorry. I just don’t wanna get scared,” Sam Sam said with sadness. “Don’t cry, Sam Sam,” Melody said, patting his back, until Seamus accidentally tugged the blanket. “Seamus, leave some for all of us,” Chase said. “Sorry, bruh. I’m grabby sometimes,” Seamus said. “Great, now how are we gonna sleep?” Chase said. “I wanna sleep too!” Sam Sam said crying. Chase and Melody suddenly started to cry, and so did Seamus.
Chase had enough, “Guys, calm down! As long as we’re together, we’ll never be scared. I’m gonna go ask my sister if she can tuck us in. Stay here.” Chase went over to the girls and knocked on their side of the door, “Sunset, can you tuck us in?” Sunset realized what he meant, “Yeah, just give me a few minutes.” Chase nodded and ran back to the room, while he waited with his friends.
Later on, the kids went back to sleep, and Sunset tucked them under the covers and gave them their kisses on their foreheads. “Goodnight,” Sunset said, until she walked back into the room and went to bed with the girls.
The next morning, on an extremely hot day, the girls woke up and brought back some food from the buffet and saw the kids watching TV. “Hey, kids. We got you some pancakes,” Sunset said. The kids came over to the table and sat down and ate their pancakes. After breakfast, the girls put on their swimsuits because they were going to the pool for the afternoon until 3:30 pm. Chase also wanted to spend time with his friends and Sunset. “Sunset, can we play together later?” Chase asked. “I really wanna spend time together.” Sunset kneeled down and gave Chase a hug, “Don’t worry, Chase. We’ll have some time together. I promise they’ll have something for you four to eat because the bar also has food.” Sunset gave Chase a kiss on his forehead, then gave him another hug. After everyone got sunscreen on, they waited until 10:30 am.
The kids were coloring pictures while the girls were outside on their balcony getting tanned by the sun. Suddenly, they heard the TV on the screen, so they went to the living room and then saw them watching “Wall-E.” Sunset and the girls suddenly saw the drawings they drew. Chase drew a picture about the girls riding Thomas the Tank Engine, Sam Sam drew a picture about life under the ocean, Melody drew a picture about a unicorn prancing on a rainbow, and Seamus drew the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The girls were surprised that the kids were keeping themselves supervised, but it was time to head down to the pool. “Come along, children,” Rarity said. The kids paused the TV, turned it off, and went with the girls to the pool.
When they got to the pool, the girls sat down on their lounge chairs and did some relaxing. “Hey, kids,” Sunset said. “Why don’t you go swimming? We’ll join you after lunch.” The kids nodded, until Rarity took out some sunscreen and then rubbed it onto the kids, then she let them go swim in the pool.
When the kids jumped into the pool, Applejack gave them a beach ball, then they played catch with it and made a few laughs. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash came in the pool and decided to get some exercise, then she got out to dry off. Two hours later, it was lunchtime.
They ordered some cheeseburgers for lunch. After lunch, the kids went back into the pool, but the girls joined them. They splashed each other and Sunset let Chase ride on her back for fun, until Chase went to play with his friends again, and Starlight was there. She was wearing a pale purplish black hourglass shaped bikini with white stars all over.
After they all had a nice swim, they got out of the pool, dried off, then went back to the room to get showered and dressed into their vacation clothes. Meanwhile, Sunset gave the kids their bath and they changed into their vacation clothes, too.
Later on, while they were walking around the yacht inside, they saw Trixie passing out flyers for her magic show this evening. Sunset and the others were not surprised at all, but suddenly Trixie saw Chase with his sister and her friends, then went over to him. “Hello, Chase Tucker,” she said. “Don’t you recognize moi? Trixie?” Chase nodded, until Trixie gave him a hug. “Oh, sorry, Sunset,” she said. “I’m just trying to be nice towards one another, but as an offer, I was wondering if you could come to my performance tonight? Pretty please? I’ve been working on some new tricks!” Sunset looked at the poster, then shook her hand, “If Chase gets hurt, I’m coming after you but mercifully, because I’m not that type of girl I was anymore. Understand?” Trixie nodded, then she kneeled down to Chase and gave him a kiss on the cheek and continued to pass out her flyers. Chase felt the kiss Trixie gave him, then blushed. “Man, you got some guts,” Seamus said.
After having some spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, they went to the yacht’s main hall and entered the entertainment center and took their seats. Seamus sat next to Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy placed Sam Sam on her lap, Melody sat between Rarity and Pinkie Pie, and Chase sat on Sunset’s lap and had her arms wrapped around his belly for comfort while she patted her hand on his chest. “Chase, remember, she may or may not call on you. So, you’re gonna have to be patient,” Sunset said, then gave Chase a kiss on the cheek and suddenly the lights were dimming.
Suddenly, there was smoke everywhere and then Trixie walked out and she was wearing a short dark blue dress/shirt with long sleeves, a short puffy skirt, yellow lining and shoulder pads, light blue stars on the sleeves, purple clips and necklace, purple knee high socks, dark blue heels with gold stars and sky blue bows on them, and a dark blue top hat with a yellow lining and 2 purple feathers.
“Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight’s host for this performance is for me, the Great... and Powerful... Tr-r-r-rixie!” Trixie said with rolling “R’s.” Then, the crowd applauded. “So, for my first trick... from inside this jumbo sized black top-hat, I shall pull a small white rabbit out!” Trixie said, then she fixed her sleeves, took out a wand, then circled it around the hat’s brim, and then pulled the rabbit out of there. “BEHOLD, THE RABBIT!” The crowd applauded and cheered, then Trixie gave the rabbit a carrot magically, gave it a small kiss on the forehead, and put it back in her hat for a nap.
“Now, for my second trick, I will try to make this little ring...” she extended the ring into six rings as a chain. “Into a chain, and now, I shall pull them apart!” Trixie then mashed the rings into separate rings and tossed them into the air and then caught them with her hat, then the rings disappeared magically. “Voila!” The crowd applauded.
“I have to say, this is going pretty well,” Rarity said. “Yep. Totally,” Sunset said, then she looked at Chase. “Are you enjoying the show, honey?”
“Mmhmm. I’m starting to like Trixie,” Chase replied. “That’s good,” Sunset said.
“Now, I do believe I have a little something in this pocket,” Trixie said, until she pulled out a red hanky. “Now, feast your eyes for once I make this handkerchief into a pattern of colors, I will then make them all disappear!” She then began to make a pattern of multicolored hankies starting with red, yellow, green, and blue, then it repeated one more time. When the pattern was done, she then turned the hankies into a stick and made the stick disappear. Then, the crowd applauded.
“For my next trick, I will need a volunteer from the audience... You, the cop!” Trixie pointed as Shining Armor. “Could you come up here, please?” Shining Armor rose from his seat and walked up the stage to Trixie. “Now, before I start, tell us your name,” Trixie said. “Uh... Shining Armor,” he replied. “Well, Mr. Armor,” Trixie said, shuffling her cards. “Since my trick is difficult, you’ll have to pay attention very clearly. First...” She revealed the cards to him. “Pick your card.” Shining Armor then picked his card and it was showing 8 black spades, then he gave it back to Trixie and shuffled the cards again, then she revealed the card he picked. “So, is this your card?” Trixie asked. “Yeah, that’s the one,” Shining Armor replied. Then, the crowd applauded, then Shining Armor sat back down with his wife and kissed his daughter’s cheek.
“Now, I will need another volunteer for this trick, which will be a few placement of a few sharp knives in the basket,” Trixie said. Sam Sam came up on stage and tugged her skirt a little. Trixie turned around and looked down at the small boy, “I’m Sam Sam.”
Trixie nodded, then shook his little hand. “Alright, Samuel. Now, I’m going to perform a trick which I promise will not be painful, but it might tickle,” Trixie said. “It’s only a magic trick, but if you feel a small pinch, just let me know.” Sam Sam nodded, then Trixie lifted him up and placed him into the basket and closed the lid. Then, Trixie inserted the 10 knives around the basket, until Sam Sam made some cute giggles. Then, when she was done, Trixie removed the lid from the basket and then took the knives off the basket and then Sam Sam stood up and giggled. Trixie lifted him up and held him in her arms and then the crowd applauded.
After Sam Sam went back to his seat, Trixie was ready for two more tricks. “Before I end my performance, I shall start with two more tricks,” she said. “First, I will need a volunteer for the cup shuffling trick.”
“Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!” Pinkie Pie said. “Yes, you there,” Trixie said. “The pink one, come forth.” Pinkie Pie squeed in excitement, then went on stage, until Rarity placed Melody on her lap and softly stroked her hair, until the little girl pressed her cheek on Rarity’s chest and placed her hand on her breast and curled her arm underneath the other. Rarity comforted Melody, rubbed her shoulders and placed her hand on her hair, then gave her a soft kiss on the temple.
“Now, Pinkie Pie, am I right?” Trixie asked. “You silly billy! You know me!” Pinkie Pie said. “I see,” Trixie said. “Now, for this trick, I’m going to place this ball underneath one of these gold cups. You’re task is to guess which of these cups has the ball underneath.” Trixie finished explaining, then she placed the ball underneath the cup in the middle and then she shuffled the cups, then she was finished. Pinkie Pie then thought for a second, then removed the cup on the left, until it revealed the ball, “I FOUND IT! I FOUND IT!” The crowd applauded, then she went back to the seats.
“For my final trick, I will make my final volunteer disappear inside this closet and then he or she will come back within 10 seconds,” Trixie said, until she saw Chase sitting on Sunset’s lap. “Would that little boy right there come up on the stage please?” Trixie asked. Chase gulped, then walked up nervously to the stage and stood by Trixie. “Could you tell us your name?” Trixie asked. “I-I’m Chase,” he replied. “Don’t worry, Chase. This will only last for ten seconds each,” Trixie explained. “Now you get into the closet, and I’ll take care of the rest.” Chase nodded and then went into the closet and Trixie shut the door. Trixie then took out her wand and wrapped a huge glittery blue starry blanket over it, “And now, with a three taps of my wand, I shall make this child disappear.” She tapped her wand on the cloaked box three times, then uncovered the box, and then opened the door and then he disappeared.
“Now, feast your eyes because once I place this blanket over here, he will suddenly... REAPPEAR!” Trixie exclaimed, until Chase waved. “Hi.” The crowd applauded, then Trixie kneeled down and gave Chase a kiss on the cheek, then Sunset walked over and held him in her arms, then went back to her seat. “And that is all for the thrilling performance from the Great and Powerful Trrrrixie!” She threw a smoke bomb on the ground, then she and her stage props disappeared.
After they left the entertainment center, they went back to the room to get ready for bed. “That was totally pizazz!” Seamus said. “Those knives tickled,” Sam Sam said. “I knew that ball was underneath the left one the whole time,” Pinkie Pie said. Sunset looked at Chase, and found out he was blushing and touching the cheek Trixie kissed on, “You know what? I don’t think Trixie’s that bad anymore. She probably just wanted to be very sweet to my little brother and possibly us.” The girls made agreeable comments and then they stopped for milkshakes and walked back to the room.
When they were in the room, Sunset tucked the kids into bed and then met with the other girls in their pajamas and then went to bed.
While they were sleeping, Chase woke up in sadness and fear, then he began to cry, when Starlight came over. “Chase? Are you okay?” she asked, until she sat on the bed and wrapped him in for a hug and then Chase pressed his cheek on her chest and placed his curled arm underneath his other arm on her breast. Starlight placed Chase on her lap and rocked him slowly back and forth, until he was calm. “Chase, do you want to tell me about your nightmare?” Starlight asked.
“I was playing with my friends at the playground... *sniff* but suddenly, we saw a giant dragon attacking us! After we were trapped,... *sob* it ate me!” Chase said sobbing. “Shhhhhh... it’s okay, Chase. You’re fine,” Starlight said, until she came up with an idea. “How about if I sleep with you kids tonight?” Chase nodded, then Starlight stood up and got under the covers, then she let Chase lay towards her belly, and then he held his teddy bear. Starlight wrapped one arm around Chase’s arm and then she went back to sleep.
The next morning, Starlight and the kids got up, and Starlight managed to make the kids some buttermilk waffles for breakfast. After the kids had breakfast, Starlight put on “SpongeBob SquarePants” on the TV.
Suddenly, the girls woke up and saw the kids watching the show. “You put SpongeBob on?” Sunset asked. “I just wanted to make sure that their morning was a good one,” Starlight said. “By the way the weather’s going to be like yesterday, so we’re gonna have to hang out in here for the rest of the day, or until we can come up with something,” Applejack said, cooking some steak and eggs for breakfast.
“In case you didn’t know, I made the kids some waffles,” Starlight said. “That’s so sweet of you, darling,” Rarity said. “It’s nothing. Just trying to fit in with this human stuff,” Starlight said. “So, how has Princess Twilight been so far?” Applejack asked. “Good,” Starlight said. “When Chase met her and the other princesses, they were so sweet to him. I even hid him by my side when he felt nervous.” The girls made a “d’awwww” reaction to her story, then Sunset saw the kids playing with Spike.
“Fluffy doggie!” Sam Sam said with giggles. “Thanks. I needed that,” Spike said. “That’s so cute! A talking dog!” Melody said, giving the dog a kiss on the forehead, then Spike played tug-a-war with Seamus.
After they all got dressed, they hanged around in their room and watched “Cars.” Sunset embraced Chase with her legs and wrapped her arms around him for a hug, Seamus laid on Twilight’s lap, and both Rarity and Fluttershy watched over Melody and Sam Sam.
When the movie was over, the kids started to get bored. Suddenly, Sunset came up with an idea. “Kids, get your shoes on. I’m gonna take you 4 for a walk,” Sunset said kindly. “Could the rest of you stay here and socialize while I’m gone?” The girls made agreeable comments, then the kids were ready and they left the room and went for a walk around the yacht. “Me and Fluttershy are gonna go to the spa,” Rarity said, then the others agreed to stay behind and then both Rarity and Fluttershy walked over to the spa.
After Sunset and the kids had their walk and stopped for burgers and milkshakes, they came back to the room to rest themselves, and so Sunset could give her feet some rest. Suddenly, Sunset thought of an idea after she got herself some water, “Hey, uh... Rainbow Dash? Could you and Applejack take the kids and let them sleep on a bed?” Applejack and Rainbow Dash realized what she meant, then acknowledged. “Sure thing, Sunset,” Applejack said, then she and Rainbow Dash uncovered the sheets and then the kids came over and climbed onto the bed on the other side, and then Applejack tucked them in, then she and Rainbow Dash sat on the bed with them.
Sunset went to go cool off outside and then sat down on a chair and took a nap.
Suddenly, Rarity and Fluttershy came back from the spa. “WE’RE BACK!” Rarity said. “SHHHHHH! You’re gonna wake the kids!” Twilight said softly, until Rarity and Fluttershy saw the kids sleeping in their bed. Rarity sat down with the kids without waking them and then read her magazine. Sam Sam suddenly started squirming, until Fluttershy leaned forward and shushed him by rubbing his shoulder, then he calmed down and Fluttershy gave him a kiss on the cheek and then she left the kids alone to sleep.
Hours later, the girls ordered pizza, but it was all plain cheese. After they ate their pizza, Twilight got a text, “Guys, there’s gonna be some shooting stars tonight!” Twilight said in excitement. “Come on, let’s go sit on the balcony and watch them!”
The girls went outside and sat on the chairs and watched millions of shooting stars shower from the sky. Oooooh! Pretty!” Pinkie Pie said. “They’re so beautiful!” Fluttershy said. “Yes! Indeed, darling,” Rarity said. “I’ve always wanted to see shooting stars,” Chase said. “I heard you get to make wishes,” Sunset said. Chase suddenly closed his eyes and cross his fingers, then made a wish. “So, what’d ya wish for, sugarcube?” Applejack asked. “I wished that I had a family like you all,” Chase replied, until they all got in for a group hug after Chase’s kind words.
Later on, the girls went to bed after getting changed into their pajamas and brushing their teeth, but they suddenly saw the kids getting ready afterwards. “Hey, kids? Would it be alright if you four slept with us tonight?” Sunset asked with a warm smile. The kids nodded, until Sunset thought of an idea, “Go get ready, and you can sleep with me tonight.” The kids nodded, then they went to the bathroom to change into their pajamas and brush their teeth, then they went potty. After they were ready they climbed into the bed.
After the kids crawled into the bed with Sunset, Chase laid on top of his sister, then they went to sleep after Rarity tucked them underneath the blanket, then she went to sleep in her sleeping bag. Until then, everyone went to sleep.
The next day, the kids woke up and went to the stove and got themselves some bowls of cereal for breakfast. Then, they decided to draw some pictures while they waited for the girls to get up.
After the girls got out of bed and had some steak and omelettes with peppers, spice and cheese for breakfast, they got dressed and then packed up their bags, “Kids, make sure you pack your bags because we’re going home today. We might take you to Equestria Land tomorrow.” The kids cheered and jumped, then they got dressed, brushed their teeth, and then packed up their stuff to go home.
When they were ready, they left the room for the last time and then they left the yacht and went back onto the pier and walked over to the parking lot, loaded their suitcases and bags into the trunk of the car, then got inside the vehicle. “What about Auntie Cady and Uncle Shiny?” Chase asked. “Don’t worry, bug,” Twilight said. “I asked my parents to drive them home.”
“Alright, now that we’re buckled up, let’s head on home and get some rest,” Applejack said. “We just had a long trip, so let’s get a chance to rest.” They all agreed, then Applejack started driving.
Later on, Chase and Sunset finally made it home and unloaded their stuff from the trunk and went inside. “Bye, girls. I’ll let you know about what to do soon,” Sunset said, then Applejack drove the others home. Then, Sunset and Chase went inside the house to get cooled off.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bernstein was doing research on the ooze, until he secretive managed to do some research on a cure. Suddenly, Estella came over, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” Dr. Bernstein jumped and hid his research, but Estella grabbed it and read it, “A cure!? How dare you plan a cure!? There will be no cure on my watch! Now get back to work and forget about the cure, because if I find you doing it again and I’m feeding you to that thing!” Dr. Bernstein nodded in fear and continued his research, suddenly Estella heard a voice, “Estella, is everything alright?” Estella turned around and she saw something that shocked her eyes, “Haha! You truly are El Macho! The world-famouse daredevil in Mexico!”
“That is correct!” El Macho said. “Can you believe I was still alive?! After all these years, I can finally have revenge on those lawyers while you have revenge on your nephew.” Estella cackled, then they saw their second mutant breaking the glass. It was a giant man with the feet of an elephant and his body had the body parts of both a manta ray and a shark.
“Looks like everything’s going as planned,” Estella said.
The next morning, Chase woke up and felt relaxed. After he came down, Sunset made him a bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal with brown sugar for breakfast with a glass of orange juice. After breakfast, Chase went upstairs to get dressed and his teeth brushed, then he met Sunset downstairs again. “Chase, could you come sit on my lap please?” Sunset asked. Chase came over and sat on his sister’s lap. “Chase, today’s gonna be different. I’m sorry, but we’re not gonna be able to hang out today,” Sunset said. “Don’t worry. I’ll take you to Equestria Land tomorrow. Does that sound fun?” Chase nodded, then he gave Sunset a hug. After Chase and Sunset broke the hug, she put Chase down on the floor and then she left to go out with her friends, “I’ll see you later today. Okay? I’ll think about finding you a babysitter.” Chase nodded and then Sunset left. After she left, Chase sat on the floor and waited for his babysitter.
While Sunset walked to meet up with her friends, she suddenly saw Cadence’s car pull over. “Hey, Sunset,” Cadence said, while Flurry giggled. “Hey, Dean Cadence. Hey, Flurry,” Sunset said. Then, she bent over and then decided to talk to Cadence for a while. “Hey, uh... do you think you and Flurry could do me a favor?” Sunset asked. “Sure, anything,” Cadence replied. “Is it okay if you could go to my apartment and watch over Chase until I return? I just need to help out with something,” Sunset said. “Mmhmm,” Cadence replied. “After I get some of Flurry’s stuff from my house, I’ll head on over and go babysit your brother and my daughter as well.”
“Thanks, I owe you one,” Sunset said, until she gave Flurry a kiss on the nose, then the baby giggled cutely. Suddenly, Sunset went off to hang out with her friends while Cadence went to stop at her house to pick up some of Flurry’s toys and some diapers and baby food, then she drove over to Sunset’s apartment.
While Chase waited, he heard the door open and saw Cadence enter with Flurry in her travel seat and a huge bag full of Flurry’s stuff. “Auntie Cady! Flurry!” Chase said, then Cadence kneeled down, put Flurry down and gave Chase a hug, then kissed his forehead. Chase saw how happy Flurry was, while she reached out her hands and then Chase held her and gave her a hug.
Cadence unbuckled Flurry’s seatbelt and let her play on the floor, then Chase decided to set up both Flurry’s toys and his toys, and Cadence sat on the couch and read on her kindle. Flurry was wearing a baby boy blue onesie with a pale pinkish white bib sewn on the crest.
Chase built blocks with Flurry, then he helped Flurry play with her toys, but suddenly he began to smell something gross, then covered his mouth. “Auntie Cady, something stinks,” Chase said. Cadence sniffed the scent, then rolled her eyes, “Don’t worry, Chase. Flurry just needs to be changed. Go play with your toys and I’ll let Flurry get back with you.” Chase nodded and let Cadence change Flurry’s diaper and played with his Thomas train set.
After Flurry was changed, Chase held Flurry on his lap and sat between Cadence’s legs and they read a book together. After the story, it was time for lunch. Cadence made some macaroni and cheese for Chase while she fed Flurry some mashed peas. Cadence made some funny faces while she fed the baby, and Flurry smiled a little. After lunch, Chase put on “Thomas and the Magic Railroad.” Cadence let Chase lay on her lap and she put Flurry on her bouncy chair.
When the movie was over, Sunset came back from her hangout. “Dean Cadence, I’m back,” Sunset said. “Oh, hello, Sunset,” Cadence said. “How was the hangout?”
“It was great. This hangout we went to was the spa and hair salon, then we went to The Sweet Shoppe for some ice cream. After that, we went to the mall and did a shopping spree. I just needed a few things for me and Chase, and some supplies since school starts next month. Speaking of which, Chase... I got you this.” Sunset gave Chase a pencil box for preschool. “It’s for school next month, and then you’re off to kindergarten,” Sunset said, then Chase gave Sunset a hug.
Suddenly, Cadence packed up Flurry’s stuff and went home, but she managed to say goodbye to her step-nephew.
After Cadence and Flurry left, Sunset and Chase went upstairs and read a book, then built some blocks.
Chapter 22: A Day at Equestria Land & Babysitter Trixie
The next morning, at 9:30 am, the girls were driving the kids and themselves to Equestria Land. The kids were sitting with Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Starlight and Pinkie Pie. Chase was laying on Rarity’s lap while the other kids were accompanied by Starlight. When they arrived at Equestria Land, they went to the parking lot and parked the truck.
The kids got in line for the Flying Rocket Shuttles that had an alien octopus on a meteor holding them. They went with Pinkie Pie, Sunset and Rainbow Dash on each rocket in 2 pairs. Chase and Sunset went on the blue one, Pinkie Pie went with Sam Sam and Melody on the red one, and Seamus went on the green one with Rainbow Dash. When the ride started, the ride began to slowly spin, then the rocket went up and down. After the ride ended, the kids laughed.
They decided to go on the rapid water log ride all together. One row had Chase, Melody and Sam Sam with Sunset. The other row had Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Seamus. The last row had Rarity, Starlight, Twilight, and Fluttershy. When their log was lifted up, they saw animatronics of cartoon characters play some songs and reenact some moments, then the log went downward and it slowed down with a huge splash, but none of the others got wet. When they got off, they went to get some lunch.
At a food joint, the girls ordered some burgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders and fries with sodas and shakes. After lunch, they went on the haunted house spinning coaster, and some of them got jump-scared by the pop-ups. Fluttershy suddenly felt Melody and Sam Sam embrace her stomach, then Sunset comforted Chase. After the ride, Sam Sam was crying and Rarity held him in her arms and rubbed his back, “Shhhhhh... It’s alright, Samuel darling. It’s all over now.”
“I know. But it was so scary,” Sam Sam said with weeps. “Shhhhhh... Deep breath, darling. Deep breath,” Rarity said softly, then Sam Sam started to calm down and Sunset did the same thing for Chase. “It’s gonna be okay, Chase. Nothing’s gonna get you,” Sunset said, until Chase whimpered and his his face underneath her hair. “Chase, don’t be scared. It wasn’t real. It was trying to make you laugh a little,” Sunset said, until Chase calmed down. “How about if we go sit down?” Sunset asked. Chase nodded, then they all went to sit down on the benches.
After the kids felt better, the girls went on a rainbow colored roller coaster with cloud tunnels, until Fluttershy read the tag, “It says it’s for both children and adults.”
The girls took the kids in each coaster seat, and made sure their seatbelts were buckled. Chase sat with Sunset, Sam Sam and Melody sat with each other, Rarity sat with Applejack, Pinkie Pie sat with Twilight, Starlight sat with Seamus, and Fluttershy sat with Rainbow Dash. When the ride started and went uphill, the kids got a little excited, and so did the girls. When they reached the top, the coaster went downward and they began screaming and cheering while going through a few turns, curves, and hills. After the ride ended, Rainbow Dash got cheerful, “That was awesome!” Pinkie Pie jumped happily, “Wheeeeee!” Then, they concluded their time at the park by going on the ferris wheel.
Chase leaned closer to Sunset as she wrapped her arms around him for comfort. They all rode in the seat together. The other kids sat with Applejack and Pinkie Pie. When the ride kept going and stopped a few times, until it reached their stop, they got off and went home with some souvenirs from the gift shop and grabbing some pizza for dinner.
The next day, Chase woke up and saw Sunset pacing around the living room thinking. “Sunset? What are you doing?” Chase asked. “I’m about to go out with my friends, but leave you here with a babysitter,” Sunset said. “But I don’t know which one. Most of the other adults here in Canterlot City are busy or might be.”
Chase then thought of an idea, “I know you don’t trust her, but... can we ask Trixie? She was very kind to me.” Sunset realized what he meant about her kindness towards Chase, then smirked with an idea in her head, “Alright, just let me find her number.” Chase cheered happily, and then texted Rarity and asked her to find Trixie and give her Sunset’s address.
When Sunset left, Chase waited for Trixie to come over, but suddenly, he heard a knock at the door. When he opened it, Trixie was standing there and she wore a purple zip up hoodie with golden yellow and light blue stars all over and he had a golden yellow striped on the bottom. She also had a blue metallic skirt, cerulean cropped pants and she wore cerulean and purple sneakers with light blue soles and shoelaces over purple short socks.
When she entered, Chase gave her a hug, then Trixie hugged him back. Trixie sat on the couch and rested her legs on a footrest. Chase went over and showed Trixie a board game that they could play together. The game was called “Dragon’s Pit.”
Trixie sat down on the floor with her legs crisscrossed Chase laid on his belly and helped Trixie set up the game, then they set up the pawns, cards, and die.
Trixie went first and rolled the die, until it landed on 4, and then she moved 4 spaces. Chase went next and rolled the die, until it landed on 6, and then he moved 6 spaces. Then, Trixie had the next turn and moved 5 spaces until she landed on a dragon space, and picked up a card. She read it, “Warning: You have approached the treasure of the dragon lord! Go back 2 spaces!” Trixie moved her pawn back 2 spaces, then Chase went next. After a few minutes later, Chase had the last turn. When he rolled the die, it landed on 5, and then he went 5 spaces, until he landed his pawn on the green eyeball, “Dragon’s Pit!”
“Curses! Trixie has been defeated by the adorable Chase Tucker!” Trixie sarcastically exclaimed, then Chase decided on another game. “Can we play The Floor is Lava?” Chase asked. “I don’t get it. How do you play it?” Trixie asked.
Trixie and Chase set up pillows on the floor and tried to stay on them without touching the floor. When Trixie and Chase made it to the couch, the game was over.
Suddenly, Trixie’s stomach growled, “Hmm, looks like Trixie is gotten the rumbles in her tummy. Perhaps a bit of lunch ought to help.” Chase gave her a box of macaroni and cheese to make, then Trixie filled up a small pot of water, then she set it to boil. When the water was boiling, she opened the box, took out the cheese mix, and poured the macaroni into the pot and added a little salt. Then, she stirred the pasta until it was done and poured into a strainer, she added a slice of stick butter and a little bit of milk into the pot and then poured the macaroni back into the pot, and poured in the cheese mix and mixed it with the butter, milk, and macaroni. When it was done, she called for Chase, “Young Chase! The macaroni and cheese is ready for the eating!” Chase came over to the kitchen and then Trixie came over to the table and served some of the macaroni and cheese into Chase’s bowl and into hers.
After lunch, Chase put on “Open Season.” Trixie sat down on the couch and waited for the movie to start, until Chase came over to her, “Would the adorable little Chase Tucker like to lay on Trixie’s lap?” Chase nodded and then he hopped on the couch and then he laid on Trixie’s lap, then the movie started, and Trixie made some popcorn for herself and Chase.
When the movie was over, Trixie saw Chase sleeping on her lap, until she smiled warmly and had a rosy blush on her cheeks, then she kissed his cheek, unzipped her hoodie, unrolled her shirt, and placed her hand on his shoulder blades while Chase pressed his cheek on her belly.
Suddenly, Sunset came back from her hangout, “Trixie, I’m back.”
“Welcome back, Sunset Shimmer,” Trixie said. “I assume you had a good time.” Sunset nodded, then she saw Chase sleeping on Trixie’s lap. “Looks like you two had fun,” Sunset said. “Correct,” Trixie said. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I shall leave you to your brother, and I shall take my kind and warm leave.” Sunset nodded, then Trixie went home.
After Trixie left, Chase woke up and saw himself laying on Sunset’s lap. “Sunset!” Chase exclaimed as he wrapped his arms around her waist, then Sunset hugged him back. “Hey, buddy,” Sunset said. “I’m glad you and Trixie had fun. Good news: We’re going back to school next week, but on Tuesday. I also got you some extra school supplies while I was gone.” Chase nodded, then he went to his play-mat to play with his toys.
The next morning, Sunset was sleeping in her bed, until she suddenly felt something shake her. Chase kept trying to wake his sister, “FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! FIRSTLY DAY OF SCHOOL! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, SUNSET! COME ON! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! IT’S OUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!”
“Not now, Pinkie. Few more minutes,” Sunset mumbled. “NO, SUNSET!” Chase exclaimed. “IT’S ME, CHASE! YOU’VE GOT TO GET UP! IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! YOU’LL BE LATE!” Sunset finally realized that it really was the first day of school, then she looked at Chase with a sad face, “You promised we would walk together.” Sunset then gave her brother a hug, then kissed his forehead, “Okay, okay. Don’t worry, I’m awake. Calm down.” Chase hugged her again, then he went over to his room to get dressed and pack his backpack for preschool, then Sunset got up and stretched herself until she was less stiff.
After she came downstairs for breakfast, she saw that Chase left her a bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffee, and made himself a bowl of cereal. “Thanks, Chase. That’s so sweet of you,” Sunset said, until she sat down and ate her bagel and drank her coffee. After breakfast, Chase went to brush his teeth, and Sunset went to get dressed and her hair brushed, then she brushed her teeth, and packed her school bag.
When Chase was ready, he took Sunset’s hand, and then they walked to school together.
After Sunset and Chase got inside the school, Principal Celestia gave Sunset her schedule and then Sunset hugged Chase and gave him a kiss on the forehead, “I’ll be back in time to pick you up after school, okay? Now, you have a good day, and tell your friends I said hello!” Sunset suddenly ran over to her friends and then they walked to class. Chase looked at Principal Celestia, then she led him to the preschool room and let him inside. Chase placed his lunchbox and backpack in the closet and then he went to the mat and took the LEGO bin and then began building a castle. When all of a sudden, someone kicked his castle. “Hey!” Chase said.
When Chase looked at him, he was a little tubby and a little bulky and he had light brown messy long hair with tan streaks, the same skin as Chase with five freckles on each cheek, and amber red eyes. He wore a black t-shirt with a white skull on it, black converse sneakers with dark grey studs and blue overalls.
“What’d you do that for?” Chase asked. “Because I hate castles!” The mean boy said, until he grabbed Chase’s shirt and lifted him up. “If you don’t know who I am, the name’s Brutus! I run the preschool grade, dweeb! My sister used to run the entire school, but she taught me how to watch out for newbies like you and teach them a lesson if they get in the way!”
“What did I ever do to you!?” Chase asked. “Nothing! I just wanna make sure you don’t! In fact, I feel like giving you a head start!” Brutus said, until he balled up her hand into a fist, and while Chase was shaking in fear, he clenched his eyes shut and felt tears roll down his eyes, then Brutus was about to make the blow.
“Hey, hobo!” a voice appeared. It was Seamus, “You think you can just wreck up my peep’s LEGO castle and introduce yourself and threaten him by giving him a hard blow? I don’t think so!”
“Oh, yeah? Say who?” Brutus asked. “You looking at this big fella right here! I don’t feel like taking you on here right now because of school rules, so you best back off and leave the poor guy alone!” Seamus said. “How about if I beat you up instead!?” Brutus replied with a blow. “Brutus! That’s enough!” another voice appeared. It was Miss Blue Belle, then Brutus gulped. “Brutus, go sit in the corner. You’re in timeout until class starts,” Miss Blue Belle said. “And I’ll be telling your parents about this, young man.” She suddenly saw Chase crying over Brutus’s behavior towards him, then she kneeled down to comfort him, but he ran off to hide, and he kept crying over his broken heart when the mean boy hurt his feelings.
“Chase? It’s okay, baby,” Miss Blue Belle said, then repelled her hand and kept crying. Suddenly, after Miss Blue Belle told the kids to continue playing, she walked over to Principal Celestia’s office and knocked on her door. “Come in,” Principal Celestia said. Miss Blue Belle entered the door, “Oh, Miss Blue Belle. This is unexpected.” Miss Blue Belle had a depressing and worrying frown. “What’s the matter?” Principal Celestia asked. Miss Blue Belle sighed, “Principal Celestia, would it be alright if we called Sunset Shimmer over? I need to take her to my classroom so she can come pick up Chase early. He’s having an emotional anxiety meltdown.” Principal Celestia nodded.
In Mr. Cranky Doodle’s classroom, Sunset and her classmates were doing a summer break assignment, until they heard a knock on the door. It was Vice-Principal Luna, “Sorry to interrupt, but can I borrow Sunset Shimmer for a while?”
“Uh, yes. Of course,” Mr. Cranky Doodle replied. Sunset got up from her seat and went with Vice-Principal Luna, then they met up with Miss Blue Belle and she opened the door to her classroom, until Sunset heard Chase crying. She walked over to his hiding spot where the bookshelves were, kneeled down and saw the redness on his face and eyes. “Chase? Are you feeling okay?” Sunset asked. Chase turned around and saw Sunset with a concerned look, then he got out of hiding and Sunset gave him a hug, then continued to cry, “Shhhhhh... It’s okay, Chase. I’m here. It’s okay.”
“Sunset, earlier before we were about to start class, a boy named Brutus, who is sitting over there in the corner, threatened to hurt Chase, but Seamus tried to stop him, but he threatened to punch him too. I was able to stop the fight,” Miss Blue Belle explained. “Oh, Chase...” Sunset said in sorrow as she rubbed his back and shushed his sobbing while he played with her hair and nuzzled his cheek on her neck and shoulder. “Do you want to go sit with me in my classroom? We’ll take you to the library later,” Sunset asked. Chase sniffed and nodded, then Sunset grabbed his backpack and his lunchbox, then she turned to Miss Blue Belle one more time. “I’m sorry about this,” Sunset said. “It’s not your fault, dear. Someone was just mean to him. He can hang out with you for today,” Miss Blue Belle said. Sunset nodded, then she walked back to her classroom with Chase and his stuff in her arms.
When she got back to the classroom, she put Chase down and went to sit at her desk to do some schoolwork. Then, Chase went over to the corner with tears in his eyes and placed bean bag chairs around him and sat down with his legs hugged up to his chest and leaned his head on his lap, then he shook with sobs. He suddenly felt a hand comfort him. When he turned around, he saw Rarity kneeling towards him. “Is something wrong, darling?” Rarity asked. Chase couldn’t speak, then Rarity sat down with him and comforted him by stroking his hair and rubbing his arm until he laid on her lap.
“Now, tell me what’s wrong,” Rarity said. “I-I-I was enjoying my first day of the new school year, but suddenly a s-s-s-student was b-b-being m-m-m... MEAN TO ME!” Chase wailed, until he started to get tears on Rarity’s shirt, but she didn’t mind, so she grabbed a tissue box and let Chase blow on them to dry the tears from his eyes.
When they all went to lunch, Chase took out his peanut butter and jelly sandwich and ate a few bites, but he was too sad to eat. “Chase, darling. You must eat,” Rarity said. “I’m not hungry,” Chase said. “I know how you feel, Chase,” Sunset said. “Look, I’m sorry he hurt you, but if something happens like that again, come talk to us and we’ll handle it, okay?” Chase nodded, then ate his sandwich. Pinkie Pie came over with a big soft sugar cookie with vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles for Chase, then she gave him a hug, then went back to her seat to eat her lunch. Chase ate his cookie when he was done with his sandwich, then moved on with his other snacks including carrot sticks and apple slices. “Chase, I’m sorry to say this, but we have to take you back to the daycare program. But the bully’s been sent home and will probably be sent to another school or something,” Sunset said. Chase was finally happy, then he finished his lunch.
After lunch, Sunset and the girls dropped Chase off to the preschool room and went to Mrs. Cheerilee’s class, and then she started the lesson. After she finished teaching, the students began their assignments. Sunset started to lose focus because she realized that Chase was really broken and hurt.
When school ended, Sunset went to the daycare program room to pick up Chase. When she got to the door, she saw Chase napping on the mat after the students left. She went over to Chase’s stuff and took them off the hanger and carefully lifted Chase up without waking him and held him in her arms and wrapped them around him for a hug. Then, she left the room with a soft goodbye to Miss Blue Belle and took Chase home.
When they got home, Sunset let Chase lay down on the couch, then she put her backpack in the kitchen and then went to go sit with Chase, then she placed the sleeping boy on her lap, and read her journal for replies, but received nothing.
She closed her book, and then comforted her little brother, “No more tears, Chase. I promise on my life that I will never let anything happen to you.”
The next morning, Sunset woke up and brewed herself some coffee, until she felt a embrace on her right leg. She looked down and saw Chase hugging her leg. When her coffee was ready, she patted Chase on the head and gave him a bowl of fruit flavored cereal for breakfast, then made herself some eggs and bacon.
After they got ready, Sunset and Chase had a talk before they left, “Chase, listen to me. If Brutus picks on you again, do not fight him, but tell the teachers or your friends and they’ll help you. But if you really feel uncomfortable with him around the preschool, we’ll think about it, okay?” Chase nodded, then gave her a kiss on the nose. “Good boy!” Sunset said as she rubbed her nose with Chase’s. “Come on, let’s walk over to school.”
When they arrived at school, Sunset dropped her brother off to Miss Blue Belle’s homeroom, then she gave him a hug and kissed his forehead, “I’ll pick you up later.” Chase nodded, then went to hang his stuff on his hanger, then went to the play mat and played with his dragon plushie, when he saw his friends walk over and they helped rebuild his castle. Suddenly, they saw Brutus walk in, so Chase and his friends acted casual and played with their toys. Suddenly, Brutus passed by and went to play with his toys.
When Miss Blue Belle came back, she was relieved that Brutus wasn’t picking on Chase again, “Okay, kids. Go to your desks. It’s time to start.” The kids went to their desks, and then Miss Blue Belle started, “By the way, Mrs. Chrysalis will be here soon, but you can work on coloring some matching worksheets before she gets here.” The kids started to do their matching coloring worksheets, then they saw Mrs. Chrysalis come in. “Good morning, Mrs. Chrysalis,” the kids said. “Good morning, children,” Mrs. Chrysalis replied, then she put her stuff on her desk and walked over to the chalkboard.
“Now, to start off our day, we are going to learn about subtracting numbers.” Mrs. Chrysalis started wrote “subtraction” on the chalkboard, then drew 20 apples on the board. “So, let’s say if I went to the store and saw 20 apples in a box. But if I took 6 apples from the box, how many will there be left in the box?” Chase suddenly raised his hand. “Yes, Chase?”
“You would have 14 apples left,” Chase said. “Correct,” Mrs. Chrysalis said, then she wrote “14” on the board. Then, the lesson continued, until it was time for some science. “Alright, children. For today’s science lesson, we’re going to make some homemade volcanoes, but with baking soda and vinegar,” Mrs. Chrysalis said. “First, you’re going to decorate your volcanoes, and then you will show me the eruption of your projects. You can create your volcano anyway you want, but it can be creative. And you can also color your lava, too. Now that Miss Blue Belle has passed out your materials, you may begin.”
The kids started to decorate their volcanoes with their materials, until Chase made his look like a volcano and used his dinosaur figures for the display. After he was done he poured the vinegar into the flask and put in three small drops of red and yellow food coloring into the vinegar. Then, he raised his hand for instructions, “Mrs. Chrysalis, I’m done.” Mrs. Chrysalis came over and looked at his volcano and saw the dinosaurs standing there. “Amazing work, Mr. Tucker. Children, can I have your attention real quick?” Mrs. Chrysalis asked, then the kids paused for a moment. “See his volcano right here? This is what true creativity means to you. If you want to be truly creative, you will also earn a gold star. But don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be too creative. It can be anyway you want it to be. Now, I see everyone’s finished with theirs, so for now, you will now put your volcanoes on the windowsill over there, and then you may play with your toys, read some books, or draw some pictures until recess starts.”
The kids put their volcanoes on the windowsill, then they had some free time. Chase went over to Miss Blue Belle and she read a book with him, until he leaned on her knee and looked at the pictures in the pages.
Meanwhile, the girls sat in the library for some social reading. Sunset was still worried about the bully that hurt Chase yesterday. “I told Chase to tell either his friends or the teacher if that bully hurts Chase again. But I’m afraid the mean kid will start a fight,” Sunset said with worry. “Don’t worry, Sunset. Chase is a brave little boy,” Fluttershy said. “Indeed, darling,” Rarity said, blushing her cheeks with her makeup. “I’m sure he won’t be in any trouble.” Sunset sighed in relief, but she was still nervous.
At recess, Chase was playing catch with his friends. When all of a sudden, Brutus came over and cornered Chase to a wall, “You may have gotten lucky this time, dweeb. But now you’re gonna pay for what you did yesterday!” Chase cowered himself when Brutus placed a palm on the wall, “WHAT DID I DO?!”
“You humiliated me on purpose!” Brutus said. “Now, I’m gonna make sure you don’t do it again! Permanently!” Brutus was about to punch Chase as he tried to dodge the attack by ducking, but suddenly Chase accidentally shoved Brutus back with a energy fireball. When Brutus landed on the ground, his nose started to bleed. When the students found out what happened, Chase suddenly found out what he did was wrong, and he ran back inside to hide. Miss Blue Belle came outside and saw Brutus’s nose bleeding, then she walked over and kneeled towards him, then Chase’s three friends were worried about Chase’s behavior too. “We best get him to the nurse, or else he might get angry and beat up Chase!” Seamus said. “Can you take care of our friend, Mommy? He’s very frightened,” Melody said. “Of course, sweetheart,” Miss Blue Belle said.
When school ended, Sunset and the girls came over to the preschool room and saw the school nurse fixing up Brutus’s nosebleed, then she saw Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna with Miss Blue Belle and Chase’s friends. “I appreciate you all coming here. We need to talk,” Principal Celestia said with a soft stern voice. Sunset saw Chase being comforted by Melody, then the girls sat down on the kids’s desks. “I don’t understand,” Sunset said. “Did Chase do something wrong?”
“No, no, dear. He’s fine. But he was in the middle of a fight during recess,” Miss Blue Belle said. “It was an accident,” Chase said. “Honey, it’s okay,” Miss Blue Belle said. “He was playing with his friends before this started, until later on, Brutus...” she pointed at Brutus with a tissue up his nose, “cornered your brother to a wall and was about to hit him.”
“My goodness,” Rarity said, with her fingers on her lips. “But suddenly Chase was so afraid he shot a lightning ball from his hands and blasted him back, and that’s what caused Brutus’s face to look like that and Chase ran back inside crying and shaking. He was so scared,” Sam Sam said. “I’m glad you told me, kids,” Miss Blue Belle said. “Chase, are you sure you’re feeling okay?” Chase shook his head, “I didn’t mean to hurt him. I couldn’t help it.”
Sunset placed her hand on his shoulder, and then lifted him up for a hug and then held him. “Sunset, you and your brother can go now,” Principal Celestia said. “Thank you, Principal Celestia. I’m sorry for the trouble, Miss Blue Belle,” Sunset said. “It’s fine, Sunset. He just needs some TLC right now,” the teacher said. “Come on, Chase. Let’s go home,” Sunset said softly, then Chase waved goodbye to his friends and teachers, then Sunset took her little brother home.
When Sunset and Chase got home, she put Chase on the couch and placed her bag somewhere else, then she sat down next to him and decided to bring him closer to her side so he can lean on her hip, then she looked down at him, “Chase, I’m not mad, okay?” Sunset said. “I know,” Chase said. “But I was worried this might happen,” Sunset said. “Chase, what caused you to do this? You almost killed someone!”
Chase began to feel scared, then he took some deep breaths, “It was an accident, I swear!”
“Chase, I know you didn’t mean, too,” Sunset said. “But I can’t help you if you don’t tell me the truth. Just breathe, then tell me what happened.” Chase took a deep breath, then he started talking, “I was playing with my friends, but Brutus came over and cornered me to the wall, then he said that I humiliated him, but I didn’t. He was being mean to me. And then... well you know the rest.”
Sunset realized that he was really being bullied, then she placed Chase on her lap, then they cuddled for a while until Chase would calm down.
After Chase was tucked into bed, Sunset was thinking about the school fight, then decided to write to Princess Twilight about Chase’s fight.
‘Hey, Twilight,
I need to give you a heads up. Today, after school, Chase got into a fight with a preschooler, but he didn’t actually hit him. Chase’s little friends told me that he accidentally used a lightning ball and it caused the bully’s nose to bleed. I think this might have to do with the side effects from the stone. If you can tell me what’s happening, I’ll help you figure out a solution for this.

After she finished writing, she tucked herself underneath the blanket, turned off her light, and went to sleep.
Chapter 25: A Mysterious Invitation/Estella’s Dinner Gala
On a nice Saturday morning, Sunset finished giving Chase his bath and let him finish getting ready for the day. When she came downstairs, she went to get the mail. When Sunset came back in with the mail, she sorted it out. There were 3 envelopes about bank letters, Chase got mail from Toys R’ Us and a package that had a new book inside, but she suddenly received one with her address in fancy writing. “That’s odd. Rarity doesn’t write like this,” Sunset said. “Better find out who it’s from.” She took out a letter opener and opened the envelope, until there was an invitation and read it.
‘You are hereby invited over to this place for a feast and grand gala regarding a peace treaty tomorrow night. Be sure to dress formally and children are allowed to come. I just want to be fair with all of you, so please enjoy the food and music.

When she read it, she had a concerned face about the writer, then dialed Rarity’s phone number on her house phone, “Get her fast!”
After Rarity read the letter with her glasses, she was shocked about Estella’s words. “Hmm, it appears that Estella wants a truce with us. But I’m afraid we have no choice but to go to the gala.”
“ARE YOU INSANE?! DON’T YOU REMEMBER WHAT ESTELLA DID TO CHASE BEFORE?!” Sunset asked with stressful anxiety.
“I think both of you are right,” Applejack said. “I don’t personally like this, but I guess it means for Chase’s safety. I mean it could be a trap.”
“If we’re going, then we need to make sure he’s protected. We’re also going to need some Equestrian magic to support us, and I know who can help,” Sunset said. “Rarity, we need some new formal dresses and could you make one for this world’s Twilight and we’re gonna need two more, because Starlight’s coming along.”
“I thought you’d never asked, darling,” Rarity said. “But who were you mentioning?”
“Trust me, I know it’s weird like the last time they met, but I’m sure we can form some kind of extra protection,” Sunset said. “Oh! Her!” Rarity said. “I’ll write a letter and then we’ll wait until she replies,” Sunset said.
“If it’s okay with you girls, you can wear whatever you want,” Rarity said.
After they waited for the reply and went to the school statue, Chase and his friends went with them and Fluttershy was put in charge of watching over the kids. When all of a sudden, the statue started to glow, and then another human walked out. She had the same lavender skin, purple eyes, and bluish purple hair with the purple and magenta streaks, but she didn’t have glasses on her face and her hair was straight down. She also wore a light blue flannel t-shirt with puffy sleeves and a dark pink bow on the collar, a purple skirt with a magenta star symbol, purple plaid leg warmers and black shoes. It was Princess Twilight!
“Princess Twilight!” Chase said as he ran up to hug her. “Aww, Chase. You’re being too sweet,” Princess Twilight said, then she kneeled down and gave him a kiss on the forehead. “Hey, girls,” she said. “Hey, Twilight!” they replied. “Oh, hi, other me,” Princess Twilight said. “Hi, Princess,” Twilight said. “Princess Twilight, can I show you my friends I made last year?” Chase asked, holding her hand. “Aww, you made some friends? Well, of course you can,” Princess Twilight replied. When Chase led the princess to his friends, she made a warm smile when she saw how adorable Chase’s friends were. “Princess Twilight, these are my friends,” Chase said. “This is Sam Sam...” Sam Sam waved and blushed, then Princess Twilight waved back. “...Melody...” Melody walked over and hugged Princess Twilight around her waist, then the princess patted her head, “and Seamus.” Seamus made a thumbs up and Princess Twilight giggled with a blush. “I’m sorry, but you three look so cute,” she said. “How about a group hug?” The kids went to Princess Twilight and she gave them a group hug.
“Okay, so Estella’s setting up a gala with dinner?” Princess Twilight asked. “Yep,” Applejack said. “But it could be a plot to get revenge on Chase and even us!” Sunset said. “Calm down, Sunset,” Twilight said. “We’re still going, but I’ll need some formal clothing,” Princess Twilight said.
“Rarity’s taking care of that,” Sunset said. “Now, we need a plan about what to do about the kids. Estella might be on to them.”
Princess Twilight thought for a moment, then came up with an idea, “We’ll make sure they’re safe, but I’m going to provide the protection for them. Except Chase, because he wields the most powerful and magical object in Equestria, the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
“But we’re going up against Estella in a party. We can’t just fight her,” Rainbow Dash said. “I also came here to warn Sunset about Chase,” Princess Twilight said. “Here’s what I found out: if the stone is destroyed, then the wielder is returned to his or her mortal state.” The girls gasped, then Sunset hugged Chase. “I don’t wanna die! What can I do, Princess?! I WANNA LIVE!” Chase exclaimed. “Don’t worry, you’re not going to die,” Princess Twilight said, then Chase sighed in relief. “But I don’t know what will happen.”
“Maybe if this peace treaty is a scam, we can sneak into the back room and look for clues,” Twilight said. “That’s not a bad idea,” Sunset said. “What do you think, Twilight?”
“Well, it somehow looks like we have ourselves a royal ball to go to,” Princess Twilight said, until the girls agreed.
After the girls and kids got into their dress clothes, they went over to the mansion by taking Applejack’s truck and then they parked at the front entrance. When they got in, Rarity,Applejack,Pinkie Pie,Rainbow Dash,Fluttershy,Sunset,Twilight,Princess Twilight, and Starlight were wearing fashionable gala dresses, but the kids were wearing their clothes from the spring formal. When they got inside, they saw the guests being welcomed by Estella.
Estella suddenly saw Eduardo behind the door, “A fiesta? But those girls broke into my restaurant! And now you want them here with the children?”
“How dare you?! I can’t exactly be seen dining with a evicted daredevil-turned-fugitive, you fool!” Estella said angrily. “In fact, the boy shouldn’t be here!” Eduardo said. “Why did you invite him?”
“Aww... Jealous, El Macho?” Estella cutely asked. “Jealous? Of them? No! No! That’s ridiculous!” Eduardo said. “Whatever can they do?” Eduardo and Estella suddenly saw them and Starlight and Princess Twilight in their dresses. “Now, there’s more of them!?” Estella growled. “They must be up to something. I will deal with them. You carry on with our experiment.” Eduardo nodded and then walked over to the door and went downstairs.
When the girls were getting signed in, they suddenly saw Estella come out. Chase tried to free his grasp from Sunset’s hand and then he ran to hide behind a bench, suddenly Fluttershy walked over and held him in her arms, then she brought him closer for a hug, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
“I wanna go home,” Chase whined. “Don’t worry, darling. We’ll keep her away from you,” Rarity said, then she gave him a blow kiss, then Chase started to breathe while whimpering and shaking, then Rarity took out a purple faux fur jacket and put it on, then Rarity took Chase and hid him underneath the jacket so that he would be safe.
“Sunset, darling!” Estella said. “Welcome to my humble home, and your lovely friends, and children, too.” Spike was growling while Twilight held him. Starlight and Princess Twilight made stern confused brows.
“I’m so pleased you’re all here, darling,” Estella said. “Come with me. Now tell me, how have you been, including your... brother?”
“Oh, he’s doing fine,” Sunset said. “He’s been growing up real good, and has been educated real good.”
“How thoughtful,” Estella said. “It’s such a relief for us to put aside our differences and come together tonight. And now...” She showed the girls the table lit with candles and centerpieces, and set up with plates, napkins, silverware, and glasses. “Dinner is served! Gaston? Alfredo?” Two butlers came over to them, then Estella spoke, “Take our guests of honor to their seats. By the way, I’ve saved a special surprise for you, my dear.”
“Um... thank you,” Sunset said.
When everyone sat down in their seats, Rarity unzipped some of her coat and let Chase see all the delicates and aristocrats sitting and chatting with each other. “Shh shh shh shh...” Rarity said softly pulling Chase towards her hip for a hug, then Chase wrapped his arms around her belly, then Rarity patted his head, and gave him a buttered bread roll since she found out he was hungry. After Chase finished his bread roll, Chase got a glass of ginger ale, and sat on Rarity’s lap to drink it.
Suddenly, Estella gently tapped her spoon on her wine glass and spoke up with kind words, “Tonight is a wonderfully joyous evening because our children, including your sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, stepchildren, grandchildren, and siblings get to join us at the table... so that we can show our generous appreciation to their magnificent beauty of youthful talent and gifted love. In my past... my life has been fueled with so much anger that has riddled some mistakes. But I hereby pray to be forgiven by all of you. So tonight, I will begin to set things right. From tonight... we’ll be closer to our children than ever. To the children!”
“To the children!” the guests replied lifting their glasses. Suddenly a few chefs, cooks, butlers and waiters appeared and placed several plates and dishes of food on the table. “Bon appétit,” the chef said as he walked away. Chase rose from the table and saw the people eating. Seamus grabbed some turkey legs and some mashed potatoes, Sam Sam took some of the chicken tenders, Melody took some of the spaghetti and meatballs, but Chase was still to scared to eat. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some business to attend to, so enjoy the feast,” Estella said, as she left the dinner table.
Suddenly, Sunset saw Estella leave the room, “Chase, it’s okay. She’s gone.” Chase looked and saw Estella’s seat was empty, then rose up and saw the huge bowl full of spaghetti and meatballs. Sunset got him a spoonful of the spaghetti, then she put the red sauce and meatballs on top of the spaghetti, and gave the plate to Chase. Chase suddenly saw Fleur sitting next to Rarity, until she looked at him and placed her hand on his cheek, then Chase softly blushed and then he started eating.
Since Twilight was thinking about Estella’s behavior, she kept eating her salmon. When the girls finished their dinner, Sunset, Starlight and Twilight went downstairs to the basement and then saw a laboratory. Twilight saw a canister full of the crystal roots and saw ooze being drained from it, then Starlight and Sunset saw dead people that were being mutated. “Estella’s been creating mutants?” Sunset asked. “Sunset, I think these roots came from Equestria,” Starlight said. “Maybe I can get a sample and possibly work on an antidote,” Twilight said. “Okay, but hurry,” Sunset said. Twilight took a small canister of the ooze.
“Surprise!” a voice hollered, then the girls turned around. It was Estella, until she cackled, “Easier than as I planned, but you’re too late!”
“You’re out of your league, lady!” Sunset said. “And I hereby keep you locked up in here!” Estella said. “With you, Little Miss Sunset Goody Two-Shoes Shimmer out of the way, it just wouldn’t do... if something would come before him.”
“Chase...” Sunset said. “Goodbye, my dear,” Estella said, then she cackled and locked the door. “No! Leave him alone!” Sunset hollered. “I’ll think of you when I kill your friends, then your brother and his three friends!” Estella replied, then cackled as she left. “No! Stop!” Sunset yelled. “Please...” Sunset then kneeled on the floor and started crying.
Twilight was starting to work on the antidote with the sample of the ooze. “I’ll try to get some recommended chemicals on the antidote so we can get out of here and save the kids,” she said. Sunset then sent a text to Rarity.
When her phone buzzed, Rarity took out her phone and read Sunset’s text. “Oh my! Girls!” Rarity said. “Estella was tricking us! But she has Sunset locked up with Starlight Glimmer and our world’s Twilight! We have to find her!” The girls gasped, then they went to the basement, until they found out the door was locked. “Stand back, y’all!” Applejack said, then she used her magical strength and unlocked the door’s rotating knob, and then when the door was open, Twilight finished gathering some notes about the antidote and grabbed the canister. When all of a sudden, a containment cell was open, and the man-bat and was released.
When the girls left the mansion, they got into the truck with the evidence and drove home. When Rarity looked out the window, she suddenly saw Chase laying on her lap, so she embraced her arms and hands onto him. “I’m gonna need to set my lab equipment for me to work on the antidote,” Twilight said. “Let’s camp at the school. We’ll be safe there.” Applejack nodded, and then drove to the school.
When they got to the school, the girls took the kids over to the library to set up their beds, and Twilight set up her lab equipment and then started working on the antidote.
She set up her laptop and typed in the formula for the ooze, used a microscope to see the cells inside the ooze, mixed up some chemicals consisting both hydrogen peroxide and antiseptics, then took some notes on her research, and then tested some other chemical combinations by using zinc acid, sodium chloride, lithium, cadmium cyanide, and phosphoric acid, and when all the chemicals were done, she tested a small drop on a small sample of her blood mixed with a small drop of the ooze, then looked under the microscope, until the mixture from the blended chemicals started to cleanse the other cells from the ooze and start to change color.
When she finished her research, she hid her equipment underneath the desk in a small cabinet, and joined the sleepover.
Later on, everyone was asleep, but Chase couldn’t sleep. Rainbow Dash looked at him and then placed her hand on his shoulder and rubbed her thumb softly. “Can’t sleep, huh?” Rainbow Dash asked. Chase shook his head, then moped. “Come here, bud. You can sleep with me tonight,” Rainbow Dash said, then Chase walked over and laid next to her. Rainbow Dash wrapped her arm around his shoulder and then Chase leaned closer to her hip and pressed his cheek on her belly.
Sunset woke up one more time, until she saw Chase sleeping with Rainbow Dash. Then, she went back to sleep.
The next morning, the man-bat woke up and then found out he can survive the sunlight. He went inside and tried to find some blood to feast on. Meanwhile, in the preschool room, Sunset was playing a board game with Chase, until they heard a faint banging noise. “What was that?” Chase asked. Sunset got up and looked out the window and Chase hid behind the giant panda. “I don’t see anything,” Sunset said, until the man-bat mutant appeared and tried to get in, but Sunset used a tack and jabbed its finger with it, then the creature got in and saw Sunset protecting Chase, then it charged towards them both.
“RUN!” Sunset yelled, until Chase tripped over and he cowered until Sunset kicked the monster’s face with her foot and lifted Chase up and ran out of the room until the creature got back up, then it followed the scent of their blood.
“Come on! Hurry!” Sunset said, until she and Chase locked the door in the library to be safe. Rainbow Dash saw them hugging, “What’s the matter?” Suddenly, the creature came back and got back up, then it walked towards Sunset and Chase, but Rarity came over and set up her crystal shield and Rainbow Dash and Applejack protected the three. When the creature got closer, its fangs expanded, but suddenly, a rainbow colored liquid was injected by a syringe placed on the neck, and then the creature turned back into a human again and passed out.
Rainbow Dash used her speed and dropped the fainted man off to the asylum and came back, “There. All done.”
“Twilight, you saved us!” Chase said. “Yep!” Twilight said, then showed them all the liquid. “I give you... the antidote!”
Later on, they got ready to stop Estella and El Macho from destroying the city, until Chase had the stone with him. When they were ready, they drove off to the abandoned shuttle launch station and abandoned foundry building.
When El Macho and Estella arrived at the abandoned warehouse with a huge space shuttle, they decided to use it as a thermonuclear missile with the crystal roots inside an explosive canister. “The canister is prepared for detonation,” Estella said. “Yes, and no one will stop us, but once we place it inside and have enough to create an army and conquer the world!” El Macho said, then he scrubbed the diagnostics and initiated the launch.
“T-Minus 10 minutes till launch.”
Unexpectedly, the kids snuck into the base and then replaced the canister with the crystal roots with a canister full of diesel fuel, then ran with the crystal roots to the girls.
When they arrived back outside, Applejack placed an explosive device inside the canister, and Twilight gave two syringes that had two of the last batches of the antidote to Sunset and then she ran off to distract the mutated guards.
Without them noticing, Sunset injected the antidote into their bloodstream and it turned the shark mutant, rhino mutant, crocodile mutant and rat mutant back into their human selves and then they passed out. El Macho and Estella saw the guards that were being cured, “What’s happening to our minions?! Girls?!”
Suddenly, Pinkie Pie was rolling the canister into the ocean, and when it tumbled off the cliff and landed in the water, it blew up. “There. Mission accomplished,” Pinkie Pie said.
“T-Minus 7 minutes and 30 seconds till launch.”
“Girls, we’ve got company,” Rainbow Dash said.
Sunset and the girls ponied up and used their magic to cure the rest of the guards, and then Applejack and Rainbow Dash put them inside the truck so that they can send them to the hospital at the asylum.
“T-Minus 5 minutes till launch.”
When everything was taken care of, the girls saw the kids were missing, then they saw El Macho and Estella watching from outside. “It’s over, Estella. Now, where are the kids?” Sunset asked. “Take a look for yourselves!” Estella replied, pointing at the rocket. When she looked closer, she saw the kids trapped inside the shuttle with the diesel fuel canister. Sunset gasped at what she saw. The kids were rambling for help and banging on the glass. “You ruffians!” Rarity said.
“Let them go!” Sunset said. “We will...” El Macho said. “...but with the countdown starting off for the remaining 10 minutes, and we send that shuttle with the canister inside straight into the same volcano where I faked my death! When it blows up, the ooze will corrupt the civilians and create enough troops to conquer the world! But only this time, it’s for real!”
“One thing we forgot to mention that part,” Rainbow Dash said. “We replaced the canister with diesel fuel, then sent the real canister into the ocean to blow up. “So you can kiss your evil armies goodbye!” Pinkie Pie said.
“T-Minus 3 minutes till launch.”
“This Twilight here also made an antidote for your all powerful guards, some heading for the hospital and the others heading to the asylum for some medical care.” Sunset said. “YOU IDIOTS!” Estella said. “You ruined everything! Handle them! And finish the job this time!”
“With pleasure,” El Macho said, taking off his cape. “Alright, girls...” he took out a small vial of the remainder of the ooze, “You’re gonna die.” He drank the ooze, then the girls reacted with shock and disgust. El Macho suddenly grew fangs on his bottom jaw, then he started growing and his skin turned red, and he became an huge angry Diablo hulking beast with his bones popping out everywhere and his spine became spiky on his back. When El Macho got angry, he made a thunderous roar, then he charged at the girls and tried to destroy them, but the girls used their magic against him.
Suddenly, Chase was lucky enough to escape from the rocket, but until he tried to save his friends, the rocket was starting to move to launch position and it caused Chase to fall, until Rainbow Dash caught him in her arms while in flight, then he saw Rainbow Dash in pony mode. “You can fly!” Chase said. Rainbow Dash suddenly blushed with a warm smile and then she landed on the ground, “Run!” Chase ran to hide, but he was trapped by an antenna that was thrown by El Macho.
Chase saw the girls getting beaten by the rampaging beast, until he realized Sunset was there, too. It suddenly triggered some anger from the past, then he suddenly started to get really angry and then he went towards El Macho and blasted him with a huge plasma beam. When El Macho saw some burns on his arms, he got really angry and started to pummel Chase, but the boy placed a force field against him, then he suddenly used his lightning power against El Macho and it made him dance, then the beast fainted, and then Twilight came over and injected him with the antidote, causing him to change back into a human, then Rarity put handcuffs on his wrists and wrapped him in a blanket.
“You’re too late,” El Macho said, softly cackling until he coughed. “You’ll never got to save them in time.” El Macho suddenly fainted.
“We gotta get the kids outta there!” Rainbow Dash said. “But how? Some of us can’t fly!” Applejack said. Sunset thought for a moment, “Maybe we can, but with a little help.”
Suddenly, they saw the chicken push the fast forward button to the launch. “I really hate that chicken...” Sunset said.
“T-Minus 10 seconds till launch.”
“Come on!” Sunset said, as Rainbow Dash and Applejack went with.
“9...”
“8...”
“7...”

“1... Liftoff.” The shuttle lifted off and then went to the destination listed. While they were climbing to the part that had the windshield and console inside, Applejack broke the emergency hatch open, then she reached out her hand, “Grab on, kids!” Melody went first, and Applejack gave her to Rainbow Dash, then Sam Sam came next, and Seamus went last after he placed a bomb armed for 2 minutes. When the kids were safe with Twilight and Rainbow Dash, they jumped off, then the bomb inside the canister blew the shuttle into smithereens and the blast made them all fall uncontrollably, until Rarity caught them with her crystal shield and then Twilight lowered it to the ground.
When they made it to the surface, Sunset gave the kids a group hug, until Estella walked out with the medallion she wore before, but some pieces of it were lost. “You... ruined... EVERYTHING!” she said, until she used a red lightning attack against Sunset, then she strangled Chase’s neck with her hand’s strong grip, causing him to choke. Suddenly, Chase placed his hand on Estella’s wrist, then she started to feel a burn that felt like acid, and screamed in fear. “What have you done to me?!” Estella asked, suddenly she saw the stone in Chase’s pocket. “Give me that stone!” Estella said, but suddenly, she was stopped by the girls. Chase ran to Sunset with the stone, then hid behind her leg her leg.
“No! This can't be possible! Your magic can't defeat mine!” Estella said. “I DESTROYED YOUR NEW LIFE, CHASE!!! YOU LOST EVERYTHING, YOU USELESS BRAT!!!” Chase hugged Sunset’s leg and rubbed his cheek on her thigh, until his sister stood up for him and stroked his hair, “Did you? Because you left out one important thing.”
“And what’s that?” Estella asked. “His friendship, the love we all gave him, and the kindness he showed us,” Sunset said. “WHAT!?!” Estella asked. Twilight stood next to Sunset, “You may have ruined Chase’s new life, but you can't destroy his friendship, Estella!” Rainbow Dash walked up next, “And we keep telling bad guys.” Applejack came up, “But y'all just don't seem to remember.” The girls held hands and formed a heart shape, “Friendship is magic!”
Then the girls lit up their magic and blasted it at her, but suddenly, Chase threw the stone in the unison and it was finally destroyed, until Estella was now blinded with fear, and saw a vision of the girls in front of a rainbow light that haunted her, and when she started to run off screaming, Starlight punched her in the face, knocking her out, then her skin was back to normal. And when the magic was done, the girls landed on their feet. Suddenly they gave each other a group hug, until Chase passed out. Until he fully closed his eyes, he saw a blurry vision of Sunset kneeling down towards him.
Chapter 28: The Aftermath/Starlight and Princess Twilight Return to Equestria
“Golly, that side effect from the stone really did it, huh?”
“Ya said it, sugarcube.”
“Look, he’s waking up!”
Chase heavily opened his eyes and found out he was in his bedroom laying on his bed, and his sister and her friends, and his friends, were there to support him. “Hey, Chase,” Sunset said. “Are you feeling okay?”
“I think so. What happened to the-“ Chase was cut off by Sunset when she placed her finger on his lips, then placed the same hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay, Chase. You destroyed the stone, remember?” Chase remembered, “Is Aunt Estella dead?”
“No, she’s back in prison, but this time, there will be impenetrable prison cells for her and El Macho,” Sunset said, then she gave her little brother a hug and kissed the top of his head, then she let go of Chase and he got up and went to the bathroom to get dressed and brush his teeth.
When they all got over to the school statue, they realized Starlight and Princess Twilight have to go back. “I’m sorry we have to leave so soon,” Princess Twilight said. “But don’t worry, we’ll be watching over from the other side.” The girls nodded, but until Princess Twilight walked through the portal, he felt a tight embrace on her leg, and she saw Chase crying because he couldn’t help what he was hiding. “Chase, is there something you want to tell me?” Princess Twilight asked. “He wanted you and Starlight to remember his birthday,” Sunset said. “He’s turning 5 soon.” Princess Twilight realized that she might forget that promise, “Chase, I promise to never forget about your birthday.” Chase smiled softly, then Princess Twilight gave him a kiss on the forehead. “Okay, I should probably get going,” she said, then she and Starlight walked through the portal. “Bye!” The kids and the girls said in unison.
When Starlight and Princess Twilight left, everyone went home. Suddenly, Sunset saw her journal blinking. She opened it and saw a message from Princess Twilight.
‘Sunset,
I began to realize that Chase might pester you about if I might come back, but could you do me a favor and give him this on his birthday? It’s a little something for my gratitude to Equestria.

Sunset then saw her package come out of the statue and she then put it in her bag.
After saying goodbye to the princess and her student, the girls took the kids to The Sweet Shoppe for some ice cream.
“Do you think we’ll see Starlight and Princess Twilight again?” Sam Sam asked. “I don’t know, sweetie,” Twilight said. “But don’t worry. They said they’d watch us from the other side.”
When Chase finished his ice cream, he looked at his locket and then he began to softly cry, but his sadness was calmed down by the soft embrace of Rarity’s hand as she pulled him closer for a hug and she let him curl up towards the side of her belly. “Don’t cry, darling. No tears for now,” Rarity said softly in his ear, as she stroked his cheek with her fingers. After they all had their ice cream together, they went to their homes to get ready for school tomorrow.
Meanwhile at school, Chase was swinging on the swings thinking happy thoughts, until he saw something that beamed his eyes. He saw another little girl at his age, and she had the same skin hue as Chase did, she had purplish black hair with a purple bow headband, purple eyes, and she wore a navy blue long sleeve shirt with a black and purple plaid skirt, and she wore black Mary Janes over white tube socks that reached her knees. Chase got off the swing and went to her. The girl looked at him as he walked over. “H-H-Hi... I-I-I’m Chase,” he said shyly. “Oh, hello. I’m Violet. Violet Evergreen,” she said. “I also heard about you on the news. You’re pretty lucky to have a sister like Sunset Shimmer.”
“Thanks,” Chase said, until he blushed. “Chase!” he heard some voices appear, and saw his friends running over to him. “Well, I’m guessing you two wanted to be alone?” Seamus asked. “No, no, it’s fine,” Chase said. “Don’t worry. I was looking for some friends anyway,” Violet said. “Can I join you guys?”
Later on, Chase and his friends were playing “knights and dragons.” Violet was the princess, Chase and Sam Sam took down Seamus who was pretending to be an ogre guarding the tower, and defeated Melody who was the evil witch.
“We’ll save you, fair lady!” Chase said, until he held Violet in a cradle. “My hero!” Violet said, and she pretended to kiss him. But suddenly, Brutus walked over to the 5 friends and made a mean stare. “You messed up for the last time, Tucker!” Brutus said. “Now, I’m gonna make it official.” Brutus was about to beat up Chase, but Chase stepped on his foot and he ran with Violet, but eventually Brutus grabbed Chase by the back of his shirt and was about to punch him in the gut, but eventually he was stopped by Miss Blue Belle. “That’s enough, Brutus,” she said, suddenly the bell rang. “I’ll get you,” Brutus said.
After school, Chase was on his way to meet up with his sister, but he got grabbed by Brutus and he beat up Chase with a pillow full of both the cushion and some building blocks. It started to hurt Chase, but suddenly Sunset, the girls and Principal Celestia broke up the fight. “Brutus! Stop it! Leave my brother alone!” Sunset yelled as she and Rainbow Dash tried to break them up.
“Hey! Hey!” a male voice appeared. He had the same skin hue as Brutus, dark brown hair, and green eyes. He was wearing a dark grey polo shirt, khaki pants, and blue and grey sneakers. “What’s going on?”
“Wait, wait, wait,” Applejack said, as she handed Chase over to Rarity and Fluttershy for a hug. “Is he your son, sir?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Yeah, why?” Brutus’s dad replied. “Well, since the first week of school, he’s been harshly picking on my brother here even thought the teacher kept telling him to knock it off. But he kept on doing it,” Sunset said. “Is that true, son?” his dad asked. “Yeah, I’ve been picking on the little wimp,” Brutus said. The girls and principal gasped at what Brutus called him. Chase started to cry as he pressed his cheek closer on Rarity’s soft chest, then she kissed him on the forehead. “Why would you say that? Look at his sweet little face,” Sunset said, as she pointed at Chase’s sweet sad-eyed little pouty angelic face. “I’m sorry about this, sir.”
Then Brutus’s dad looked at his son, “Okay. That’s it. You’re grounded!”
“Pop!” Brutus argued. “No but’s, mister. You’re coming with me right now!” Brutus’s dad said as he took his son home. “Have fun locked in your room, Brutus!” Rainbow Dash said.
After they left, Chase was still upset that Brutus called him a wimp, until Rarity was still comforting him while he rested his cheek on her breasts. “Don’t worry, love,” Rarity said. “He won’t hurt you anymore.” She gave Chase a kiss on his temple and then she put him down, so that Sunset could take him home.
“Sunset, I also met another girl today,” Chase said. “Oh, really? Do you wanna tell me about her?” Sunset asked, when she sat down and placed him on her lap, then he started talking, “Her name was Violet, she was the same age as me, she wore black and purple clothes, and she was pretty like Rarity.” Sunset and the girls were touched about how he described his new friend. “I let her play with us today, and she said that you were lucky to have me as a brother,” Chase said. Then, Sunset thought of something next time he met Violet again.
“Hey, Chase,” Sunset said. “I know you’re a little too young for this, but maybe you can ask her out, but as friends. You know, try to get to know each other, and you might have a little luck.” Chase nodded, then they went home.
When school ended, Chase was about to go meet up with his sister, and then they walked home. “Did you have a good day today.” Sunset asked. “Yeah, I’m glad Brutus didn’t bully me,” Chase replied. “Well, I’m glad,” Sunset said.
On the way home, they saw six familiar students from another school. It was the Crystal Prep girls Sunny Flare, Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, and Lemon Zest. “Hey, look who showed up!” Indigo Zap said. “Aww, it’s little Chase Tucker!” Sour Sweet said, pinching his cheek softly. “Sunset, if it’s alright with you, could we take him for today?” Sugarcoat asked. Sunset then realized that today was a specially important day, so she made up her mind, then huddled them for a whisper, “Okay, but could you make sure he’s distracted long enough for me and my friends to get things ready for tonight?”
“Why are we whispering?” Lemon Zest asked. “The truth is... today’s his birthday,” Sunset said, then the girls softly gasped. “Then of course we can distract him,” Sour Sweet said, until she turned to Indigo Zap and Lemon Zest. “Just make sure nothing bad happens.”
“By the way, you’re welcome to come over,” Sunset said. “Maybe you can take him to the park,” Sunset said. “No worries, dearie,” Sunny Flare said. “We’ll take care of him.”
“Good. Now I need to get going. My friends are waiting for me,” Sunset said, then she kneeled down to Chase and placed her hands on his shoulders, “Chase, these girls are gonna look after you for a while. When they bring you home, you’ll know what’s gonna happen soon, okay?” Chase nodded and then hugged his sister, then Sunset gave him a kiss on the cheek, and walked over to her house to set up Chase’s birthday party.
When the Crystal Prep girls took Chase to the park, he held Sunny Flare’s hand as they walked towards the playground. He went all over the jungle gym while Sour Sweet and Sunny Flare watched over him, until Chase and the girls saw three familiar students from Crystal Prep. It was Fleur and two other girls. One of them had light cyan colored eyes, and her hair was a mix of pale light grayish cyan and light opalish gray and she wore a girl’s Crystal Prep uniform. The other had light grayish aquamarine skin, moderate opal eyes, and her hair was colored dark grayish indigo with dark indigo and moderate opal streaks and curled up in a ponytail.
They were carrying shopping bags from the mall. “Fleur!” The girls said. “Hello, ladies! You probably remember Coco Pammel and Coloratura,” Fleur said, then she saw Chase struggling to get higher on the swing. Chase suddenly gave up trying and began to cry, but he felt like he was going backwards, until he saw Sour Sweet pulling him up on the swing, “Let me help you with that, buddy.” Sour Sweet suddenly let go and then kept pushing him on the swing until he was high enough. “So, uh... how’s Auntie Cady doing at your school?” Chase asked. “Who? Oh, you mean Cadence? Well, she’s been doing fine,” Sour Sweet replied. “After she had her baby and came back, Principal Amore passed away from cancer.”
“NOOOO!” Chase replied back. “Yep, it was sad,” Sour Sweet said. “But eventually, Cadence decided to take her place as Principal. We’ve been happy since that happened and when Amore was around.”
“If you don’t recall, we used to be rivals with your sister and her friends since the Friendship Games, and when Cinch was the principal. She was a real pain in the neck. She blackmailed Twilight to participate in the games, and we’ve been so mean to her. But after Cinch forced her to unleash all the magic from your sister and her friends, she became consumed by it, turning her into a she-demon, and Sunset became one too, but with the light side of it. After all of that, Cinch was fired because someone didn’t believe in friendship.”
“That’s some story,” Chase said. “I’m sure glad you didn’t meet Cinch,” Sour Sweet said. “She would’ve ignored you with disgust. She probably didn’t like children either. Especially at your age.”
“Sour Sweet! I think it’s time to head on over!” Indigo Zap yelled. “Okay, we’re coming!” Sour Sweet replied. “Just give me a second!” Sour Sweet then helped Chase off the swing and then they went with the others. Fleur then saw Chase walking up to her and then gave her a hug around her waist, then she hugged him back by patting his head. Coco and Rara were touched about how cute Chase looked. “Chase, this is Coco Pommel and Coloratura,” Fleur said. “You can call me Rara for short if it’s too long,” she said. “Hi,” Chase replied. “I’m planning on being a fashion artist when I grow up,” Coco said. “And I plan to be a stylish singer when I grow up,” Rara said. “I think I’ll name myself Countess Coloratura.”
Chase finally understood that they were planning to be famous. When they finished talking, Fleur grabbed the shopping bags and gave the others to Coco Pommel and Coloratura, then they walked with Chase and the 5 girls over to Chase’s birthday party.
Meanwhile, Sunset made sure everything was set up, until the lights went off when Rarity saw Chase coming. The Crystal Prep girls went on ahead, but Sunny Flare spoke to him one more time, “Chase, we’ll catch up at your party. Sunset’s gonna come get you.” Chase nodded, until Sunny gave him a kiss on the forehead and walked with the others to the party. Chase sat on the bench for 3 minutes straight, then he saw Sunset come outside. “Sunset? What’s going on?” Chase asked. “It’s a surprise,” Sunset replied. “How about if I carry you? I’ll shield your eyes.” Chase nodded, then Sunset lifted him up and then held him in an embrace, and placed her hand over his eyes. After his eyes were closed, Sunset walked him to his party.
“Ready?” Sunset asked. “1... 2... 3!” Sunset uncovered his eyes and Chase saw himself in The Sweet Shoppe and saw decorations in many shades of green and blue, then all the guests popped out to greet him, “SURPRISE!” Then, they applauded. “Happy birthday, Chase,” Sunset said. “I-It’s my birthday?” Chase asked. “You remembered!” Chase hugged Sunset and pressed his cheek on her chest, until Sunset hugged him back, then she walked him over to a table so that everyone can have some dinner. Applejack grilled some burgers and hot dogs on the indoor hibachi, then everyone made sure they had some for each other.
After dinner, it was time to open some presents.
Twilight handed her gift to Chase that was wrapped in purple wrapping paper and had a navy blue ribbon and bow. When he opened it, it was a collection of children’s books, and he got another box that was magenta and inside it was a constellation light up globe. Chase hugged her on the leg, then Twilight him back, “You’re welcome, bug.”
“This is from me and Shining Armor, munchkin,” Cadence said. “And Flurry, too.” Cadence kissed Flurry on the cheek, then the baby babbled with a giggle. Cadence and Shining Armor got Chase a new teddy bear. Chase got a hug from his beloved step-aunt and step-uncle.
Chase then saw Rarity walk over to him, and handed him his present, “Here you go, darling. This is from me.” Chase then opened his presents and he got some new clothes and new pajamas. “If your wondering, darling. I made some of them at my boutique, but some of them I bought from the mall.” Chase then hugged Rarity, then she hugged him back and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
“Here ya go, sugarcube. This here’s something I got ya from the mall, also,” Applejack said. Chase then took his present that was wrapped in green wrapping paper with red apples all over, and opened it, revealing a new sleeping bag that had SpongeBob on it. Applejack kneeled down and gave Chase a hug, and ruffled his hair gently. “Y’er welcome, Chase.”
Rainbow Dash then came over, “This is for you. I got this from the toys section at a superstore at the mall.” Chase took the present wrapped in blue sports ball wrapping paper. After he opened it, he got a blue ball with green stars. “Thank you, Rainbow!” Chase said, hugging her. “No problem, little dude,” Rainbow Dash replied. “You can play catch with it or play soccer with it. It’s both a dodgeball and a soccer ball. Maybe next time, I can teach you how to play soccer.”
“I would love that,” Chase replied, pressing his head on Rainbow Dash’s belly. Fluttershy showed Chase his present which was a fish tank that had 3 clownfish, a moorish idol, a yellow tang, and 2 goldfish inside and it was decorated with blue marble rocks, a SpongeBob pineapple, a treasure chest, and a tiki. “I realized you either did or did not want any pets, so I decided to get you this,” she said. Chase then giggled and hugged Fluttershy’s waist. “You’re very welcome, sweetie,” she said, until she lifted him up and gave him a kiss on the forehead, and put him back down.
Pinkie Pie walked over and gave Chase a hug, then gave him his present that was wrapped in sky blue wrapping paper with balloons all over and a yellow ribbon and bow. “This is from me and my sister Maud.” When Chase opened it, he got a small jumbo sized wooden box with a couple of rocks, minerals and gemstones inside. Then, Chase gave Pinkie Pie a hug, until she have him a big kiss on the forehead.
Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo came over with a wagon full of presents for Chase. “These are for you,” Sweetie Belle said. Chase went over and opened his presents the girls got him. He got some new action figures, some new LEGO sets, a remote control monster truck, new Thomas and Friends trains for his railroad collection, new toy dinosaurs, and some new coloring books and drawing paper with new crayons. Chase then went to Sweetie Belle and wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his head on her belly for a hug, until she hugged him back, then Apple Bloom and Scootaloo joined the hug. “We love ya too, Chase,” Apple Bloom said. And we always will,” Sweetie Belle said. “No matter what happens,” Scootaloo said.
“Sweetie Belle, how did you three manage to purchase these toys for Chase?” Rarity asked. “Well, we found out that his birthday was coming up, so we decided to do a donation for Fluttershy’s shelter so that she could help us earn enough money to get this stuff for Chase,” Sweetie Belle said. “They were really thoughtful,” Fluttershy said. “I’m so proud of you, darling,” Rarity said, until she rubbed her nose on Sweetie Belle’s nose, then they shared a hug. Applejack pressed Apple Bloom’s cheek on her belly and wrapped her arms around her little sister for a hug. Rainbow Dash gave Scootaloo a hug.
Sunset realized that she had hers and Princess Twilight’s gifts to give Chase. “Chase?” Sunset asked, until Chase turned around. “This one is from me, and this is from Princess Twilight and the other princesses in Equestria.” Chase sat down on his seat and opened Sunset’s present first. Sunset got Chase some new sets of bedsheets for his bed that had overalls of the solar system, dinosaurs, and stripes in red, green, white, light and dark blue. “We can keep the ones you have, but I was thinking about adding some upgrades on your bedsheets,” Sunset said. “Now, open this one.” Chase opened the present he got from Princess Twilight, which was a journal that he could write to her about what he experienced or he could just talk to her.
Sunset then gave Chase a kiss on the forehead. “Okay, looks like it time to eat some cake,” Sunset said. “I thought you’d never asked, dearie,” Cup Cake said, as she and her husband rolled the cake out. It was a chocolate cake covered with vanilla frosting and it had some pink and blue frosting ringed around the top layers, rainbow sprinkles on the sides and a little bit on the top with a huge plastic lettering saying “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHASE!” on it and plastic balloons on the top in random colors.
They all gathered around and then sang to Chase.
“Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, dear Chase.
Happy birthday to you.”
“Okay, buddy. Make a wish, then blow out the candles,” Sunset said softly. Chase closed his eyes and made his wish, then he blew out the candles. They all clapped their hands for an applause. “What did you wish for, darling?” Rarity asked. “For a family that loves me and supports me,” Chase replied. They all made a “d’awwww” reaction, then Sunset gave him a hug. “Alright, everyone. Time to eat,” Cup Cake said, then Rarity cut the cake into smaller pieces and gave them to everyone.
After the party, some of the guests stayed to clean up, while Sunset and Chase walked home with their friends helping them carry in Chase’s presents and then they went home.
Later on, Chase tried on one of his new Thomas and Friends pajamas “Did you have fun?” Sunset asked. “Mmhmm,” Chase said. “I’m glad I finally have a loving family, and the best sister I’ve ever had.” Sunset made a warm smile and kneeled down to Chase’s level and wrapped her arms around him for a hug. After she laid him back into his bed, she placed the blanket over him, then she gave him a kiss on his forehead, “Happy birthday, buddy. Goodnight.” Sunset then left the room after she turned off the light and closed the door halfway.
After Chase looked at the picture of his parents in his locket, he then looked at the moon in the sky, then went to sleep.
