Going to a con is fun... But when you get transported to Equestria as your costume and end up in a desert with little food and water... It ain't fun anymore... At least I got Sparten Pathfinder armor on with a cloak like the one the Chief used...
(Warning Tis a Displaced story!) Well... It sucks being in Equestria... I mean, yeah I'm a Brony... A closet Brony, but a Brony nonetheless, but getting sent there from a con by a dude who looked like the Resident Evil 4 merchant kinda sucks... And not because I don't get to see my family and friends ever again, but because I become a Sparten 4 under a minute... And then it hurts... And I mean it HURTS! I felt like I went through a grinder, then a wood chipper. It sucks... And all I have is Pathefinder armor, a DMR, and magnum. I also have Master Chiefs cloak from the Halo 5 trailer... What? I had to, I needed to look badass... And a have a knife like Emile's from Halo Reach... Once plastic now metal... Don't judge! You would've done the same fucking thing!... So... Hope you enjoy my misadventures in Equestria... That is, if you are reading this...

Pain, that's all I feel right now, pain. I really shouldn't have bought from that Resident Evil 4 Merchant. The thing I bought was a case with a fake A.I. Chip in it. Next thing I know, I'm seeing Rainbows and then sand. And I wish I could move but the pains just to much. I feel as if I just went through a meat grinder... Then I was cooked... Oh man, now I made myself hungry... Shit... Well I might as well lay here for another few minutes. It's not like I'm going anywhere.
-20 minutes later-
Aaaaaaand I'm still laying here... In the sand... And not on a floor... There goes hoping this was a dream. The pains kinda subsided to only a dull throb now, so now I think I can move.
I lift my head up to see its night, I then notice that I can see through my helmet completely fine, which shouldn't be the case. I should be looking and seeing everything in orange or 'solar' as that's what the visor color is. And I know I still have the helmet on because I can feel it, but somethings off, I can breathe clearly. And usually with this thing on, I can't breathe as well as you would without it on. And the air seems... Cleaner? Now that's weird, I should at least taste the air but I can't.
I lift myself to my knees and start crouching on one knee, I look around to only see sand, desert sand. Fuck me I'm in a desert. I look to see my cloak still on me, and my armor. But now it looks... Metal? Da faq?! This stuff was foam at the con! So wherever I am... It made the stuff I'm wearing real... That's both cool, and scary. Maybe my guns are real too? I reach to my back and feel the DMR , I grab the grip and bring it forward. And as I do that I hear a click as it detaches from my back. I bring it to my face to see that it's metal too. Oh hell yes I'm starting to like this... Except for the pain. Which is slowly going away, very slowly... I still feel like I was kicked in my manhood about five times. But I'm ignoring the pain... For now.
I get to my feet and wobble a bit but I keep my balance, I look around again and see nothing but sand. I look down at the DMR in my hands and feel a bit safer knowing I have it, I look around once more before trudging straight ahead into the unknown. Hopefully I'll find a town or something. I pull the brown hood over my helmeted head and continue walking.
-An hour later-
So I figured out my arsenal, I've got the Halo 4 magnum, the Halo 4 DMR, Emile's knife from Halo Reach, a satchel with a water bottle, two chocolate bars, and three pencils for my sketchbook, and also that A.I. Chip from the Merchant. I have seven clips for the DMR and five for the magnum. I had to have fake clips to make the whole costume look more authentic.
I look down at the A.I. chip, it started glowing when I put it in my hand. It kinda looks like Cortana's A.I. I think to myself for a minute before deciding to put it in my helmet. What do I have to lose?
But then I feel cold. And you see, the sun just came up and I can tell it's obviously hot, but after putting the A.I. chip in. I feel like someone poured a bucket of ice water on my head, it's that fucking cold! Then orange flares around me and I see a HUD appear on the screen of my helmet. A shield bar fills up at the top and a motion tracker also appears at the bottom left, and a ammo count for my gun appears. And I won't lie... A nearly shit myself when this all happened, then I hear a female voice that's soft and kinda dull.
"All systems online and operational, Shields at full, Motion Tracker picking up no movement." She says, which kinda surprised me by how quick this was all happening. "Vital signs normal, nothing posing a threat is detected." Ok now I gotta respond to all of this before she goes on about where I am, which could help, but I'd rather know who I just put in my head.
"Alright hey you and I need to talk." Ok more da faq! My voice has changed! It sounds a bit older and more stoic, like a soldier. I was a sixteen year old guy before this!
"Yes? What is it you need?" She askes. I shake my head and continue, ignoring the change in my voice.
"Ok first who the hell are you? Second where the fuck are we and how did we get here?" I ask, she's silent for a minute before speaking.
"My name is Serenity, I am your personal Artificial Intelligence or A.I. for short. And we are currently in a desert." She states matter of factly. I sigh, perfect... I now have my own A.I. and I can tell she'll turn out to be just like Cortana.
"Alright, I knew the desert part. But I meant what planet?"
She's silent again before answering "Unknown" does she sound... Depressed? No, it's gotta be my imagination.
"Alright" I say before continuing on my way to the unknown world we have now found are selves on.
"What is are current course?" She asks, which to I sigh.
"We have no current course, we're just walking to see if we can find a town" I respond. She's silent for a few minutes before asking
"Are you wishing to find civilization?" I slap my helmeted face.
"Nooooooo! Where trying to get to the moon!" I say sarcastically.
"Sarcasm can be withheld thank you very much!" She snaps. Oh, she's snippy is she? Well, that'll be fun to poke at later. But for now, we continue in silence. Which lasted about twenty minutes before she gives me a heads up saying there is a cluster of life forms to the left, which I turn to look to see a town.
"Well... How convenient..." I say as I change my direction to the town. As I walk into the town I look around to see the houses are falling apart like the ones from old western times. As I continue, I begin to see... Nobody, this place is a ghost town... "Serenity, are you sure this place is inhabited?" I ask.
"Indeed, but they seem to be hiding from something." Well fuck... That may be me or- then I hear the click.
"Put your hands were I can see 'em!" I slowly turn to a Minotaur about seven feet tall with a crossbow pointed at me. He looked like he was pure muscle and he had two swords on his back, I know I don't wanna fight him in hand to hand combat.
"I ain't gonna say it again, put them there hands of yours in the air and give me all your valuables!" I look to see he had a large satchel slung across his shoulder, and a glint of hold coming from it. And I guess he got pretty impatient, and pissed I didn't respond. "Fine! Your funeral!" He fires his crossbow at me and the bolt flys and hits me in the chest which pings off the shield, I don't even flinch for some reason. Because I know I would have shit myself by now, but then my voice starts talking when I didn't mean to say anything.
"My turn." I say as I pull out my magnum and fire a round through his head.
He falls backwards with a thump, I hear the wind in the silence as I hold my magnum in front of me. My arm drops to my side and I start to approach the dead Minotaur on the ground, I look to his satchel to see gold coins had fallen out of it. A lot! Of gold coins, then I hear a door open. I turn to my right to see a horse with its head sticking out of the door. I take a double take and see a pony from MLP leave the house looking at me with wide eyes. He was a brown stallion with a red mane and tail, he looks a bit skinny, and his cutie mark is a hammer hitting an anvil. He takes a few tentative steps off his porch, as if seeing my reaction which is obviously hidden by my cloaks hood and my helmet which is also hidden by my hood. I hear another door open, and I turn to look to my left to see a unicorn mare coming out of the house, she's a light tan unicorn with a brown mane and tail. Her cutie mark was two sticks together with fire coming off of them. Then the sounds of more doors opening and closing is heard and I look at my motion tracker to see a bunch of yellow dots coming from behind me, I turn to see a crowd of ponies behind me, all looking at me with wide eyes and open mouths. I stood close to about five something back on earth and now I can tell I'm taller, maybe six something... I was never good with knowing how tall I am, but they all look about four feet tall maybe five... I suck at knowing heights. But I looked at their eyes to see that they were staring at me in awe and some with fear. And Then I figured it out, I look at the Minotaur and back the ponies to see most were skinny and hollowed cheeked. I could see ribs and other bones jutting out, I just killed a Minotaur who was harassing this town and taken there money... And then that's when I knew... That I was gonna be here for awhile.
So, after a good amount time of the ponies thanking me for killing that jackass. Who I found out had stolen, maimed, and killed these ponies to get what he wanted. I told them of my dilemma, which obviously they couldn't really help me with too much. They did give me a bit of food and water for my travels, but as you can already guess, it wasn't too much. They gave me a bit of bread and refilled my water bottle, so after the whole ordeal, I got to walking out of the town.
"Those locals seem... Greatful." Says the A.I. Who now decided to talk
"Well, I did just help them out with a bit of a problem they were having." I respond, to which she's silent again. Then I hear a pair of hooves beating the ground behind me, I turn to see a small blue filly with a black mane and tail running towards me with a light blue sash in her mouth. I crouch to her height as She stops in front of me panting, then looks up to me, my god her eyes are so freaking big! And her little face! Oh my god I'm going to get Diabetes because of the shear cuteness! She drops the sash on the ground and looks at me again.
"Um, mister... I just wanted to say... Thank you for saving us." She scoots the sash towards me. "And I wanted to give you something for saving us."
I look at the sash, it's just a normal blue sash, nothing special about it, but it's the thought that counts. I pick it up and lift up my left arm. I tie it to my left wrist, and look back at her.
"Thank you, what's your name?" I ask.
"Sketch"
Ok, so not all ponies names have two words in them, good to know. I reach over to my satchel and pull out my sketch book, I look at it, I haven't really drawn in it all that much, and I could probably find a new one... Hopefully. I look back at Sketch and I give her the book, she looks up at me in surprise, I grab out two of my pencils and set them next to the book, which Sketch is just staring at.
"Sketch, I want you to have this, I have no use for it right now. If you promise to take care of it... You can keep it."
She looks back at me, and then she grins ear to ear in happiness. She picks up the book and pencils hugs them.
"Thank you mister! And I will, I promise!"
I ruffle her mane, and she runs back to the town were most of the ponies were still gathered. More colts and fillys start crowding around her as she tells them what I gave her, I stand up straight again, and continue walking. After a few minutes, Serenity finally speaks up.
"That was... Very kind of you."
"Hey, she gave me something, I gave her something. Sometimes I'm too nice... Probably because of all the games I played... And I may or may not have played too much of Bioshock 2... I kinda get over nice to little girls..."
"But she's a different race!"
"Children of all races are the same."
And with that, she's once again silent. So I continue walking, after a few minutes the town is in the distance as I keep walking. Maybe I could have stayed? Nah, I gotta keep moving. Hopefully the Princesses can find me a way out of here, and if not... I'll just keep walking, make new friends, stop a war or something... Save a kingdom? Eh, I could probably do all that now. Being what I am, but... I do miss my family... My friends... Everything's gone, just, gone... What do they think happened? Do they think I ran away? Or do they think I was kidnapped?!
"Fuck!"
"What's the matter? I'm reading high amounts of anger and stress."
"Serenity, I'm pissed!"
"Why? There's nothing to be angry about, you just saved a town, you should feel happy."
"I just left my world... To come to this one... For. What. REASON!"
"... I do not know."
"Well fan fucking tastic! Just like when you stated the obvious when we first met! Now would you kindly SHUT THE HELL UP! And let me think!"
After that outburst she's silent, so I continue walking lost in thought.
-3 hours later-
"Maybe we should have gotten a map."
"You said you'd map out the place as we go!"
"Well, all my data consists of... Is sand... And rock..."
"Fantastic! You say we don't need a map, but now your saying we do!"
"I never said we didn't need a map, I said that I could map the area we're in as we go!"
"Well, fuck me! What do we do now?!"
"Well I rightly don't know, maybe we can ask the pegisi pulling that golden chariot!"
"Wait, WHAT!"
I look up to see said chariot, with the solar princess in to... And she looks very pissed. Well fuck me, her chariot lands in front of me and she steps off of it, she gets about five feet away from me, then proceeds to stare me down.
"Um... May I help you?" I ask, better try to act polite until I get what's really going on.
Finally Celestia speaks "None of you should be alive... Me and my sister made sure of that."
Well... Fuck... I'm going to get my ass sent to the moon.
"Um... Excuse me? What did I do?"
"Your kind... One's like you... Fought with Discord two thousand years ago... When we trapped him in stone... We hunted you all down for what you did."
"Look lady, I didn't do jack shit, I got here a few hours ago by some strange means, I didn't hurt or kill anybody... Unless you count the Minotaur."
"WHAT!"
"Hey woah! Calm the fuck down! He was terrorizing a town full of defenseless ponies!"
"You lie! You all were great deceivers!"
"Go check the town for yourself! I fucking saved them!"
"And how do I know I can trust you?"
"Um..."
She starts charging her horn, and aims it at me. That's when Serenity finally decided to speak up.
"Use a pulse grenade!"
"I never added grenades to the suit!"
As I said that, a pulse grenade appears in my hand and I look down at it. Fucking badass looking, but I can't stay and gawk at it all day. I press the button on the side of it, and I throw it at Celestia. She immediately jumps back as it hits the ground, she then takes to the air as it goes off, as she did all of that, I bolted, running as fast as I could away from her. I'll say this, I don't know how I didn't see it before, but I somehow ran into the Everfree. After an hour of running, I stop to look around, place is fucking dark and dank looking... Eh, could be worse.
I sit down to take a break, kinda wishing that could have gone better. I look at the ground, and that's when the fatigue hits me, I mean, I ain't that tired, but walking around and then running can take its toll on a person. I decide to lay on the ground and rest... Maybe when I wake up this is all really a dream.
Well... This is different... As you can guess, I'm dreaming but... It... It seems too real, I feel like I'm really here. Oh the dream I'm currently in is one of a dark tunnel... And the walls are rocks so obviously I'm in a cave with only one way to go, forward. So I walk deeper within, it seems like I had been walking for hours until I finally ended up in a cavern which by how I felt, must be huge!
I look left and right and I notice I can see but barely. I look forward to see something in the middle of the cavern, it kinda reminds me when you see a dragon sleeping in its den on Skyrim. And if that game has taught me anything, it's that I shouldn't wake it up or go anywhere near it, but as you can guess... I never really cared for the more intelligent things in the game. I more or less just beat everything up with a fucking sword and walked away, oh don't tell me you all haven't done the exact same thing! You see a dragon, you look at your gear and your level and you say "Fuck it" and yell "LEEROY JENKINS!" And charge right at it. But as you can guess I'm not that stupid, so I start inching my way forward towards it to get a better look when it then decides to get up... And I swear if this wasn't a dream I would have definitely shit myself, and pissed myself. What I see ain't a dragon, it's a giant creature with a huge head with a huge maw with three strips of skin coming off of it, two on the bottom and one at the top, all hanging down as if rotten. Tenticales start moving around, covering up my escape route, and surrounding me. I look up to see the abomination that puts fear in all of us Halo Fans, Gravemind.
"What has wondered into my place of sleep?" It inquiries.
Oh I swear his voice! It's terrifying and epic at the same time! It sounds like hundreds of voices speaking at once, and a hundred more echoing.
"Well? Speak!"
That's when I found my voice.
"H-How are you real?! And for that matter, alive?!"
"Ah, a soldier of steel and strength, not as much as the other ones, but still a warrior, tell me... How did you get here?"
"How should I know? I just popped up."
"Interesting..." I think it's pondering, I said think! It's got so many voices it's hard to tell.
"If your here... Then this means my time is close! I shall be able to finally come forth!"
"Wait, WHAT?!" Oh no, this is very bad! He can't be able to go to Equestria! Nothing could stop it if it does come!
"Oh none shall stop me now! I shall devor all life!"
Aw hell naw Bitch!
"You'll have to get through me first!" It looks down at me and laughs.
"A puny warrior like you? Ha! Do not make me laugh! You can not stop me for I have one last Equine under my control! She could not fend off the power I put over her, her will was not strong enough! She shall find the last spore and release it!"
"You forget, I'm a fucking Spartan! I'll make sure she doesn't release you!" I really hoped I sounded more confident then I felt.
"You will never find her, she is hidden, and she will get that last spore and release me!"
He towers over me, "And you shall die!" And he rushes towards me, maw open wide. I put my arms up trying to defend myself, then I open my eyes.
I raise my head and look around the forest clearing I'm in, I have no clue how I got here but it's fine by me! I prop myself up on my elbows and take a better look around. It's open and clear of all underbrush and trees, I look over to see I was laying next to a log. I get up and sit myself down on it and take off my helmet, I look into the visor of my helmet to see my reflection, I got a bit of a stubble but the only real difference in my appearance, I have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, my skins a bit pale but that's mostly because I stayed inside a lot, I sigh at my situation.
"Well, look who woke up! Took you long enough." I jump at the voice and look all around me, no ones near me then I look up, and I see the one being that my inner Space Marine is yelling at me to Purge. Discord, the Spirit of Chaos, the maker of crazy cotton candy clouds that rain chocolate milk, and checker board ground, the one being who really reminds me of Sheogorath.
"You were asleep longer than normal... Well for your kind that is." He takes out a random book from behind him and puts on reading glasses and starts skimming the book.
"A guy can over sleep can't he?" I ask.
"Yes he can, I guess." Discord throws the book into the air were it disappears, and he takes off his glasses and wipes them with a cloth. He then puts them back on and looks at me.
"So, how did you get here?"
"I don't have a clue in the world on how I got here."
"Well... I still didn't get a thank you."
"For what?"
"Getting you away from Celestia when you ran, I teleported you closer to the Everfree so you could get away from her."
"Oh... I was wondering how that had happened, thanks... I guess."
"Your welcome, now! You may want to hurry and find that one pony."
I look at him with wide eyes, "How the hell..."
"I was listening onto the conversation, very difficult thing to do, but at least I did it."
"Do you have any clue who, what, and where she could be?"
"Well... She's a Bat pony, and if memory serves me right, and her name is Eclipse. She's currently residing at a town not for from here... I can't quite remember it's name."
"Wait, how do you know all of this?" He looks at me and ponders for a second, tapping his chin.
"She looked suspicious after I went to the town earlier this week. She was walking around, looking dazed, with a distant look in her eyes, and me being me, I instantly knew something was wrong. But I couldn't really do anything to her because if I did I'd get in trouble."
"Hm... Makes sense, do you got a map to the town?" He looks at me, then puts his lion paw into his ear and pulls out a map, then hands it to me.
"There you go, now I must be going, ta ta!" With that, he disappears.
Most. Fucking. Random. Dude. EVER!... And that's why I love him! Wait... Why was he at the town?... Oh who gives a shit! He's Discord! But I better look at the map. I look down at it to see its an actual map... For a second I thought it just be scribbles, ok... So I gotta get past Ponyville... Then gooooo... East? I think? Oh fuck me I hate maps! I look up from the map, then I look back down at it. Oh fine! I put it away and start heading towards ponyville, and if I've read enough Fics... Then their gonna be a bit... Distressed at seeing me, Eh why should I care? I'm a Spartan now.
I put my helmet back on and start walking again.
"What was that all about?"
"Well hello to you too Serenity, and it was nothing, but we have are heading!"
"And where's that?"
"A town that I have no clues to what it's name is!"
"Should I care? Or even ask?"
"Probably not... Unless you wish to become frustrated."
"Alright then" and we now continue are journey!
-three hours later-
I'm hiding in a bush at the edge of the Everfree looking out at Ponyville, it looks like a normal day. They got stands set up, and ponies are milling around getting groceries. One of the stands as I could see has nice red apples on it, and manning the stand is Applejack. She's talking to Rarity it looks like, which I can also see the white unicorn with a gem in her hoof, she looks like she's showing it off and Applejack is just rolling her eyes.
"Hey Serenity?"
"Yes?"
"How did you get a pulse grenade?"
"I accessed your memorys and conjured one up."
"You gotta be fucking with me."
"We're in a land full of magical horses... What do you think?"
Well damn, she makes a good argument.
"Ok, if you can do that... Can you make an armor ability?"
She's silent for a few seconds before responding.
"Yes, I think I can try."
"Alright, we need the invisibility cloak, can you make that?"
"As I said, I'll try." And with that, she's silent again, I sit there and wait for about thirty minutes until I hear that sound you hear when a Promethien Knight appears and I feel something change in the armor.
"Their, done, it should be able to get you through the town. But you'll need to keep to the shadows, and take breaks every few minutes."
"Alright, let's do this!"
Chapter 4, "I'm sneaking! Oh wait... They see me!"
Ok, I admit, I'm not great at sneaking. I barely got passed Applejack and Rarity who were talking about a spa, and I ran into a few ponies who looked around when they were bumped. And right now I'm doing better because of the lack of equines.
Right now I'm crouching by some houses when I saw a pony I didn't think I'd get to see, The Doctor, the amount of fangirling I'm doing inside my head is huge! But what actually scared me, was that he was looking directly at me and smirking. And then he started walking over to my position, I froze and didn't dare move.
He walks up right next to me and looks around, after a second of me still being frozen and him looking around, he looks back at me... Then he just pokes me, no seriously, he just poked my shoulder and I nearly lost my balance from my crouching position. He snickers then gets a serious face.
"You know, you're terrible at stealth correct?" He states, to which I remain silent, still not moving, but I could barely hold back a sqee at his voice, it was David Tennets.
He sighs, then gets out a sonic screwdriver, and to which I start to really sweat. If he uses that my cover will be blown, and I Really don't feel like running. He points it at me and to which I smack it out of his hoof, as it hits the ground he looks back at me and scowls.
"That wasn't very nice you know!"
I remain quiet as he continues to scowl at me, he reachs down it get his sonic screwdriver, and I smack his head. I'm reeeaaally going to regret doing that. His head hits the ground and he picks himslf up and starts to look really pissed.
"You shouldn't have done that." As he said that, he brings up the sonic screwdriver and turns it on.
It immediately takes affect on my armor, and my invisibility turns off. I look at my hands, then back at him. He's smirking at me, looking triumphant, that's when I stand up and tower over him, he notices this and instantly starts to make himself smaller. You gotta remember, in the face of a predator, most animals, when out of options, tend to cower. Even if they are Timelords, that's when something hits my helmet and lands on the ground. I look over to see a muffin on the ground, I look up to Derpy staring at me, with what I assume to be a, 'If you hurt him, I'll tear off your head, and shove it up your ass face. I stand there for a second longer, looking directly back at her, I slowly crouch down and pick up the muffin, I raise it up or her to see it fully... I then shove it in the Doctors face. Oh, she. Was. Pissed! She started to fly at me with speed that could have matched Rainbows, time seems to slow down as she flys at me, her hooves ready to strike. I then move without my brain saying so, and I do the matrix, I bend my back and avoid her completely and she flys into the wall behind me. I get back up to look over at her, she's unconscious obviously, but I couldn't help but feel bad.
That's when the purple bolt of a spell hit me, I fly backwards and hit the spot were Derpy was at, and I notice she's now gone. I slide to the ground, my shield was offline, and Serenity was saying something I couldn't hear. My ears were ringing, and it was hard to concentrate, I look up to see Twilight staring daggers at me, she had her wings extended, and I think she was trying to make herself look bigger... Which I don't think it was working on me to much. I look to her side to see Rainbow with Derpy and the Doctor, the Doctor was holding Derpy in his hooves, trying to wake her up, and Rainbow was giving me the death glare.
I knew when to run, and when to fight... This situation called for a retreat, I got myself to one of my knees, and I look at Twilight. I hope this would work. I pull out a frag gerenad , Serenity had made me a few on are walk here, I press the button, and toss it in front of me, she looks at it confused for a second until her eyes widen, she puts up her shield as the gerenad detonated, as you can all guess, I bolted as soon as it went off... Or rather, I stumbled until I regained my concentration and ran.
I ran for awhile until I had to stop, I stood panting until I looked up. I was outside of Sugercube Corner, and I could here Pinkie singing.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah Serenity, I'm fine." I look around and notice nobody around, weird, but that's good at least.
"My scans are showing two broken ribs... Your lucky your not dead from all that running."
I couldn't help but chuckle at that, I've never broken a bone in my life, yet here I am with now two broken ribs, Life sucks. "Well, at least we got away." I continue to catch my breath that now hurts to breathe in, until I noticed two pink hooves in front of me. I look up again to see a smiling Pinkie staring at me, look, I've seen My Little Pony, and every time she did that... It never surprised me.
"Hi! Are you here because of the new brownie recipe I made?" She's looking at me with a smile that looks like it hurts. I only stare at her, then I stand up all the way again to look at her.
"No, I'm trying to get through this godforsaken town without dying." I state, I then try to walk past her but she appears in front of me again.
"Why? What's the matter with Ponyville? It's the nicest town in Equestria." She's looking at me with wide eyes that are full of curiosity.
"Well, right now, it ain't that nice."
"Why?"
"Because I was shot into a wall by a Alicorn?"
"Oooo! She takes in a long lungful of air before breathing out again, she then smiles at me.
If you all could see my face... It was complete shock at how she did that, I swear she doesn't need air, and only does it for show.
"Um... Yeah, she attacked me." Oh I just fucked up.
"Why'd she attack you? She wouldn't have attacked you unless you did something she didn't like, and everypony knows not to make her upset."
"Well, you see-" I didn't get to finish my sentence until she gasped and glared daggers at me.
"Now I remember! You were the one Celestia told Twilight to watch out for because he's dangerous!"
I did the only thing I could think of... "Ok you got- OH MY GOD! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!" I point behind her and she instantly turns around, to only see nothing, she turns back only to see me running away.
"HEY! THATS NOT NICE!" She yells, but I didn't give two flying fucks, and I kept running, I ran until I had run out of the town, and I didn't stop until I was a good distance away, I stopped and started panting again.
"Your going to get yourself killed you know." Serenity states, and to which I don't respond to.
I stand up straight again, and continue on. I take out the map and look at it, by the looks of things, I was going the right way. But I should be careful, I don't want to get caught. I look around to see just plain grassy fields, man, this reminds me of home. I really wish I hadn't come here, to this world, it fucking sucks... But I have to admit, this place is nice, I mean, everything seems fresh, and clean, and colorful. Well, maybe this world won't actually be that bad.
-1 hour later-
So I found the town, it's a quaint little town. Most it's inhabitants are ponys, but, I did see a few griffins, a Minotaur, and a Zebra. Then I saw a bat pony, she was walking through the street heading into a forest that was nearby. If you're thinking, 'hey, what's the name of the town?' How should I know? I can't fucking read the gibberish they have as letters. I watched her as she walked by some stalls selling fruits and vegetables, and then, I started to follow her, I only saw one bat pony after about thirty minutes of watching the town. So it must be her, so I have to keep an eye on her, but I guess she got the feeling of being watched, she turned around and looked at the bushs I was in, she stared at my location before looking away and shrugging, she continued on, and I stayed a good distance behind her.
We traveled for about, twenty minutes until we ended up in the middle of a clearing in the forest, she looks both ways, then uncovers some grass to reveal a hatch, I watch intently as she opens it up and goes inside, after about five minutes, I follow in after her. The place was dark and I couldn't see anything, I was walking down stairs for a minute before I hit metal flooring.
"I'm going to turn on night vision" Serenity states, and after a few seconds, everything becomes a light green haze and I can see around me, I look left, then right, to see two hallways. I think for a second before I go down the left one, I walk down the hallway until I see a door on the side, I go over to it and see that it has a keypad like from the one you see in the first Halo game, and the door looks like the ones from it too. I go over to it and reach down to press the keypad.
"Stop!" My hand hovers over the keypad as Serenity yelled that. After a second, the keypad glows green and the door opens. "I hacked it, next time, wait for me to tell you to touch things." I roll my eyes and continue into the room, I could tell there was a lot of stuff in here, I look around and see a light switch, I walk over to it and try my luck, I flick it to 'on' and the lights in the room blink for a second before Turning on. Oh. My. God! The room was filled with weapons on racks, there were Assault Rifles, DMR's, Battle Rifles, Magnums, SMG's, Sniper Rifles, Spears, Swords, Gerenads, Axes, Fucking Flamethrowers and Machine Guns! Rocket Launchers, and Gerenad launchers. Oh baby,I died and went to heaven! I run over to the racks and look at them all, they look so beautiful! I go over to a Sniper Rifle and pick it up, and I look at it. Oh my god I think I'm gonna cry, I start to cradle it like a baby.
"Ahem" I freeze, "You know, you look really pathetic right now." I roll my eyes at Serenity and Continue to cradle the Rifle, my Rifle, yes, it's mine now! No one else's! All mine! All of them are mine!
So I do the one thing everyone loves doing... I suit up, I take off the cloak and roll it up, I then proceed to take any weapon I think is worth carrying, which is. Another Magnum, a Gerenad Launcher, An Assault Rifle, that beautiful Sniper Rifle, Two SMG's, a Sword that looks like a katana, and a few more Gerenads. I'm about to leave when I see a necklace on a table, it was obviously a work table with all the guns scattered on it, but the necklace looks out of place. I walk over to it and pick it up, it's a necklace with a black and White Scythe on it, weird... But fucking cool looking! I take off my helmet and put it around my neck, I hear a voice as I put it on and I nearly shit myself.
“I’m Lee Connors, or if you’d like, Venom. If you need a mostly-friendly superhero to help you save the day, then I’m here. I’ll help when you need me.” I look around and realize that it's from the necklace.
I seriously think that's fucking cool, and I made a note to keep in mind that if I need help, somebody's got my back I'm about to put my helmet back on when I think of something, I go over to a roll of tape and take a piece off, I then look around until I found a pen, I write my name and put it on the back of me helmet.
"So that's your name... I like it." I smile at Serenity, then I place the helmet back on pandora walk out of the room. And I know now, that Equestria's gonna know about me after this... And my name is gonna go down in history books... My names Kent, and I'm gonna make sure Gravemind stays where he is.
You know the one good thing about sleep? It blocks out a lot of crap you don't wanna listen to. And where I sleep... There's plenty of noise.
I sleep in a room with my two younger siblings, both are boys so obviously, they need to wake up at the butt crack of dawn, and wake up the whole house with the tv blaring and they're stupid arguments.
But when you work at your dads work, which is pretty much a huge work place, and the work your told to do, is to clip the bushs, which are the fire thorn ones, and pick up the twigs and place them in a trash bin and take it to a pickup truck and dump it in the back, and to yank out weeds near ponds, and in the cracks in concrete... Did I mention it's in the blazing heat of the summer sun? Yeah, it sucks! But, I get paid quite a bit for doing it all... So... Kinda worth it.
But when you do all that for a whole day, and you go home to bed... Sleep comes easy... And you become hard to wake up.
But, I needed to get up, or that's what my alarm clock is telling me, by beeping like crazy, to the point that I wanted to burn it... In the flames of the Warp.. Don't worry about it unless you're a Warhammer 40k person, then please do worry... Cause that may mean I am turning to Chaos... And that's bad.
I lift my head to the infernal clock, and I slam my hand on the top of it to shut it off. I lift myself out of bed, and look back at it.
Oh, yeah, now my cats giving me the, "You're a dick face." Cause I woke him up, hey, he's on my bed, so it's his fault, not mine. I yawn and walk to go get dressed.
-Two hours later-
So, I bet you're all wondering, "Hey, what do you have planned for today?" Well, I'm going to a con. My friend was able to convince his parents to take me, and my parents said it was fine... That was three months ago, and in that time, I had a lot of ideas of what to go as. My first was to go simple, so I thought, Hey I could go as Scout from TF2, I looked the part, and I was pretty fast too, then I thought it may have been done a bit too much. Then I thought, hey, why not my Chosen Undead character from Dark Souls? Then I thought of the armor and weapons... Which all of it was Silver Knight armor, a Silver Knight shield, and a Black Knights sword, I was immensely lucky to get that sword on my first Black Knight, don't ask how, it just happened. Then I ruled that out, I thought of my Fallout Three character, then, ruled that out. My friend and me had another friend who was great at making costumes, and me and my original friend helped make them, and in the end, I chose to go as a Spartan Pathfinder, and my friend went as the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who. Kinda sounds like a bad joke when you think about it, the Tenth Doctor and a Spartan walk into a bar... Heh, kinda funny I guess.
So, I get ready to head out as my friend comes to pick me up, so after an hour of preparing and then waiting, his parents van parks out front, I get up and walk outside, I walk up to it and the door opens, I jump in, and we're off.
-two more hours later-
So, after all that, we finally make it, I see people walking around dressed up in some grade A badass gear, I can't really name too many, most are from games I never played, and some are anima characters, to which the only full anima I watched was Full Metal Alchemist. I see a few TF2 people walking around, I see a blue spy walking with a few people dressed as characters from Naruto wearing a mask that had the face of Naruto on it, clever, and hilarious. My friend had immediately broken off without a word, to which, it is only me. So I start to wander around, looking at different venders, I see a few choice looking ones, I turn to see a My Little Pony stand with a few guys looking at comics, and a few others looking at plushies, I continue on my way.
That's when I saw the Resident Evil 4 merchant, now, you see, I never played Resident Evil, none of them, but I watched the game grumps play a bit of it, and if I remember correctly, they shot him to see what would happen, and it turns out he came back to life and scared the shit out of them... Hilarious to the fullest!
So, seeing him, I walk up to him to look at his wares.
"Ah, a true warrior I see?"
I look up at him as he said that, he has his eyes locked on me, a bit creepy, but, hey, no one knows if I'm looking or not, best part about a visor, no one knows if you're looking or not.
"Eh, wish that was true, but I'm just a normal guy, nothing special."
"Ah, true, true, but, if you had an A.I. wouldn't that make it easier for you to be better?" He cocks his head at me, waiting for my answer.
Clever sir, oh so clever. "Yeah, an A.I. would make targeting my enemies so much easier." I say jokingly. I turn my head to look over at another stand, and when I look back, he has a metal case in his hands.
"Then maybe this would help?" He offers for me to take it, to which I do, I unclip the clasps, and pop it open, I look to see a glowing A.I. chip, it looked just like Cortanas, same color too.
I whistle at it, some fine detail, and it looks like actual metal, whoever made it is a damn good artist.
"How much for it?" I ask, looking back up at him.
I could tell he was grinning under his mask. "For you... Twenty Dollars."
Damn... Cheap... Seems too cheap... "It can't be that cheap, what's the matter with it? Is it defective or something?"
He shakes his head "No no, nothing like that, it's something that's been taking up a bit of room and no one seems to want it, so, for you, twenty dollars."
Hm... Seems a bit suspicious... But, hey, it's cheap, and looks well made, so, why the hell not?
"Alright, sounds fair." I open pouch with my wallet in it, and pull it out, I fish out twenty dollars and pass him the money. "There you go, twenty dollars."
I can tell he's smiling again "Thank you, enjoy the A.I."
"Thanks, I'll make sure I do." As I say that, I pick up the case, only for everything to go black, then the Rainbows start, and, the single thought I had, was "Aw shit..."
Chapter 5, The Guardian Sentinel, and the "Last Infection Form"
So, after my quick pick up of weapons, I run down the hallways to catch up with the Bat-Pony.
"You do know that running like this will alert her that we're after her correct?"
"Serenity, please, shut the fuck up while I run."
She sighs before remaining quiet, I keep running until I stop at a locked door at the end of the hallway, I look through it to see a large open room with cover everywhere.
"Serenity, could you open the door?"
She sighs again, and after a few seconds, the door turns green and opens, I walk in with my assault rifle raised, I scan the area, seeing nothing, I lower my gun, I turn to look back to see the door shut, and locked itself.
"Um... Was it supposed to lock?" I ask
"Um... No, it wasn't.
That's when I heard the buzzing, or... Well... I really don't know how to explain what the sound was. I turn back around to see a giant sentinel, like one of the ones from Halo Wars, but a bit more... Armored, looking at me with its laser charging up.
"Oh shit!" I roll to cover as it fires it's beam at me, after a few seconds it stops and I poke out of cover and fire at it, the bullets only hit a massive shield, and it fires again, forcing me to duck back into cover.
"Damnit! How the hell am I going to kill that thing!"
I look at all my weapons but sigh, I got nothing that could take out its shields, I look down to see the necklace I found, I grab it and sigh. "No real choice... Hopefully he doesn't kill me when he gets here."
I grab it tightly, "Lee Connors! I summon you!"
A portal appears. Black and purple, with the sound of lightning. Black slime falls out and splats on the floor. It pulls itself together, and a black Spiderman wobbles to the right and slaps into the wall.
"Who summoned me!? And why!? I was sleeping!" He rubbed his head with his left hand.
I look at him, my eyes wide under my helmet. "Um... That would be me... Sorry for the rude awakening, but, I kinda got a problem." As I say that the giant sentinel fires at my cover again.
An exclamation mark appeared above Lee, who proceeded to use black webs that shot out of his wrists to pull its aim from me, to the guy I summoned. He laughed, "Jeez! What did you do to piss this piece of scrap off!?" He yelled as a Scythe appeared. "I'll ask who ya are later!" The attacks passed right though him, and Lee jumped before too many hit through. He sent a barrage of web balls at the Sentinel.
The shields let the webs through, but they don't do much harm to the machine, it charges up and fires again.
"Hey! I just walked in, and it immediately started shooting! Not my fault!" I run from cover, firing my assault rifle at it, only for the bullets to deflect harmlessly off the shields again. "Fuck! Damn things tougher then I thought!"
Lee yelped. "Fudge! What is this thing!?" Lee used his web to move around the room, circling the Sentinel.
I fire at it again, before pulling out a grenade, arming it, and throwing it at the sentinel, it hits the shield and bounces off. I pull out my DMR and aim at the grenade and fire, hitting it, it explodes and takes down its shields, to which I start firing from my assault rifle again.
"It's a huge mother bucking Sentinel! And it's pretty pissed!" I yell as it turns to me, firing it's laser. I try to dodge but get hit in my side, my shields go down instantly and I run into cover as it fires again.
Lee jumps over to me. "Trust me! I need you to hold my hand and shield your mind!"
I look at him, and sigh "Why the hell not, nothing to lose." I grab his hand after I say that. And I shield my mind.
His body slithers onto mine, and I see myself in a black and white Spartan suit. It feels stronger, and I'm holding a Scythe/gun in my hands. I heard a voice in my head. 'Tear him apart... I've got a date to get back to.'
'I thought you were sleeping, you know what, never mind, let's fuck this guy up!'
I run out of cover as the sentinel fires again, it misses but keeps following us, I jump up and land on top of the sentinel, it starts spinning trying to get to us but I start firing at it, trying to get through the metal armor, after that fails, I cut into it with the sycthe. The sentinel stops moving and the part I stabbed starts to spark, my eyes widen under my helmet and I quickly jump off of it and run as it hits the ground exploding on impact, the force of it blows us off are feet. I look back at the flaming debris of the sentinel.
"Shit... That was some fireworks right there... Maybe the forunners should have gone into the firework business."
'Oooohhhh~ That was better than I expected! And fast! Plus, my Scythe finally kicks butt.'
'Seems too fast... Something doesn't seem right.' As I thought that, multiple smaller sentinels come out of hatches in the walls, and they point at us. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me, fuck this!" I turn and run as the sentinels shoot smaller, but still deadly, lasers at us. I run to the next door that had been across the room. "Hey Serenity, maybe you could UNLOCK THIS DAMN THING!?!?!" The door turns green and opens.
"Already done." Says the ever so helpful A.I. I run through the door and it closes behind us, and not to soon, as the sentinels fire at the door, trying to get at us.
'Who's the chick? And what're ya gonna do 'bout the prob?'
'Thats Serenity, pretty sure she's the one who got me here to Equestria, and the problem, we have to catch up with a Bat-Pony before she releases the flood.
Lee coughed, 'AND THE FLOOD GATES OPEN!!!'
I heard the sound of water rushing, but it sounded way too cartoon to be real. It's like a dam broke! Haha! Anyway, what's that plan Captain? Go all spartan on them? Cause I do a great spartan commander. TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!!! But in all seriousness, we should hurry up. Try using my web shooters. I know it's a bit embarrassing to say 'I Love You' everywhere you go, but come on!' He punctuated this by flashing a heart in my point of view.
'Yeah, we need to hurry, but the flood you're thinking about is different, the normal flood is just a lot if water, but the one I'm talking about is a parasite that takes control of its host and morphs them into something... Grotesque, but, enough talk, we gotta mov before she releases the last surviving infection form'
I shoot a web from my hand and swing only to hit a wall and fall on the ground. "Ok, I have no idea how to use these!" I say as I pick myself up off the ground "I'm just gonna book it." I start running down the hallways as Serenity tells me directions.
'You have no idea what a joke is, do you? And I'M a parasite.'
'These parasites don't help they're host, they kill them, and make them into monsters, and no... I'm not great with jokes.'
"Stop! There's a room you may like Kent"
I stop as Serenity said that, and I look around. "Room to your right."
I look to the room and open the door, I peak in to see its another armory, but instead of weapons, it's filled with a god amount of armor, I walk in to see most of the armor is old, and my meaning of old is, most of it looks like the armor from Halo Reach.
"Eh, not as great as my current armor, we'll come back later." I say, and I turn back and run out of the room to continue my running down the hallways.
'Awww, I'm flattered.' Lee giggled
I sigh and continue my run.
"We're getting close!"
"And how would you know that Serenity?"
"I scanned the area, and we have a door to are left coming up, it has one life form in it."
"That could be something else."
"It's the size of one of the equines... And I know I'm correct."
"Alright alright, door on the left, got it."
I watch the doors on the left as I run past them, and I can here Serenity quietly counting. So... What are you exactly? You kinda remind me of Venom from Spider man.
'Gee, I wonder why Mr. Spartan.' He said with sarcasm. 'Maybe I AM Venom. Like my Token says, I'm Lee Connors, Symbiotic Anti-Hero from an alternate universe looking for ways to make my Celestia's life a living hell. And I like cake...'
He seemed to be daydreaming, then snapped out of it. Other than that, I've got a BIG family, an I'm learning what it means to be a complete A-hole to my hosts. And I'm a bit crazy... I mean, wouldn't you be if you're stuck to a eggheaded pony, being the number one criminal for no reason, and getting turned into a mare? All in a couple days. Three to be exact.'
'Well... Quite a few interesting things to know... Well... When I first came here, I get literally attacked by Celestia herself, she was pissed about my kind hurting her ponies, and I find out all other Spartans here before me were hunted and killed by the ponies, and I'm now on the list of beings needed to be exterminated... And I find out that the head honcho of the Flood is here, and about to be released, and I seem to be one of the only ones able to stop him, and for all of that, I have no help on this world, all ponies hate me it seems... And I may have pissed off a Timelord...
I stop at a door and peek inside to see its full of cells, I back off and continue to run again.
'Huh... Celestia's never tolerant of others is she?'
'Not really... Strange she never knew of the Flood.'
"Left door!"
I stop at Serenitys voice and look into the doors small window to see a lab, I turn my head, and see a shadow move in the room. "Serenity, can you get the door open?" I ask, she's silent for awhile before responding.
"Give me a minute, it won't take long."
I'll see what's going on!' The Symbiote jumped off me and slithered into the room and reformed into it's humanoid form. He walked forward.
As I watch him and look back at the Shadow, it moves before disappearing. "I don't like this..."
"The fudge you don't! I don't have any bad feelings!" Lee said, playing with lab equipment. "I need one of these back home! Why didn't I ever think to get a laser!?" He laughed, and through a jar of green liquid at the door, which proceeded to burn down. "Huh... I opened the door! Get in here you~" He chucked as he played with two more chemicals.
I walk into the room and look around before looking at Lee. "I wouldn't mess with those, we don't know what's in them." I get out my DMR and look around the room again.
"Relax! I eat this stuff for lunch!" He took a sip of a red one, and spit it out. "That was disgusting! What was that!?" He looked at the label, "Parasite Repellent... Ha... Ha..." He placed it into a trash can, summoned his Scythe, and cut it into pieces.
"Hm... Where'd that shadow go?..." I walk around the room, looking at the different chemicals and such.
"The equine is still in here." I freeze at Serenitys words, and look back at Lee
"The ponys still here, we have to be careful, no idea what she'll do."
Lee gave me a mock salute. Then webbed up the exit. "Get through that!" He turned around to the room, and talked in a low, menacing voice. "You wanna do this the easy way?" His body started to grow, then a tongue slipped out of his head, and yellow teeth ripped out after that. He spoke gruffly, "Or the hard way."
I back up from him.
"Damn... That's pretty fucking scary... Not as bad as Gravemind... Thank god." I look around the room and see a pony figure dart from cover to cover. "Shit..." I point my DMR at the figure as it keeps darting from cover.
Lee, on the other hand, jumped to the cover the pony was trying to reach. He roared, and used his webs to catch them.
The pony screams and starts struggling in the webs, and I approach them.
"That was SO cool!" Lee turned back into the smaller form, teeth, tongue, and Scythe disappearing. "So... What are you doing out here?"
She stares at Lee with wide eyes until her eyes glaze over, and they turn a sickly green, she the same looks into his eyes and grins.
"You will all DIE!" Her voice is deep and echoes.
"Gravemind!" I run the last small stretch and look at the mare "Release her! You're time is over!"
"Oh... But it isn't." She turns her head to the left, and I look over to see a destroyed glass tube, I look at the ground to see a water like liquid all over the floor, and some of it trails off to a small space at the end of the lab.
"Lee... It's out..."
"The Flood!?" Lee stared at the liquid, "What do we do!? Would that Parasite Repellent work? Could I use magic to seal it away in a pocket dimension!? Could I..." He trailed off. "Is it the Flood? I'm not used to that stuff..."
"It's small right now... Not really a great threat... Just keep that mare away from it... And I'll deal with it" I start walking towards the other side of the room, with my DMR at the ready
I heard ripping, something getting hit with webs, a slapping sound, and Lee saying, "Why're you hitting yourself? Why're you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?"
I shake my head and continue to the other side of the room, as I get to the other side, I see something small scurry under a table. I go over and keep my DMR trained on the table.
"Never thought I'd be doing this..." I crouch down and look under the table, I see something small, it shifts a bit as I look at it, and lunges at my face.
"AHHHHHHHHH!!!! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF!!!!" I start to run around the lab like a chicken with its head cut off, never have I been more thankful for my helmet.
Lee laughed uncontrollably. And webbed it off my face. "Dude! It's just a rat!"
I stop and look at him. "Then... Where's the infection form?"
"The what?"
"The Flood infection form! The thing in the tube, the thing we're trying to stop... Wait..." I look up at the ceiling to see the infection form above of us, it gurgles at us before scurrying to the door, only to stop at the webs, it turns and looks at us.
"Man that's ugly!" Lee shouted before shooting his webs at it. They missed, and it went for the vents.
NO!" I fire at it, only for it to get away in the vents. "Shit! We need to kill it before it gets away to the outside! Follow the vents!"
Lee slithered into the vents.
"If you can! Just smash the damn thing!"
"You will all DIE! Nothing will stop me! I am the shadow that stalks the universe! I have eaten many better then you! I. Will. Win!"
I look over at the mare still being controlled by Gravemind, I walk over to her, and promptly smack her as hard as I could, which may have been too much because I just knocked her unconscious. I look at my hand and shrug. "At least I got him to shut up"
There was a big CHOMP, and a burp. "Excuse me!" Lee yelled. He slithered out of the vent. "Didn't have anything small enough to smash it with so I... Ate it... It actually tastes like chicken! And I've eaten things worse... I think..."
I just stare at Lee
"You... Ate... The Flood... I just... I have no words..." I look back at the mare, then back to Lee. "I... I guess that's it... Graveminds plan is over... It failed..."
I take off my helmet and sigh. "Can't believe it was that easy..."
Lee shrugged, "I'd say... Hey, you got any ice cream on you? When I said Flood taste like chicken, I meant the living kind... The multiverse hates us Displaced, right?"
"Yeah... And, no, I don't have any ice cream... I may have something as a reward for helping save this world... But, we may need to go past the sentinels again."
"No, you don't." I look over at my helmet to Serenity who was on the speakers. I turn when I hear a door open and I turn to look at the other end of the room where a door opened up.
"Well then... Alright." I pick up my helmet and put it back on, and I go over and pick up the unconscious mare, and I start to walk over to the door.
Lee followed. "That sounds good. I'd give you something, but I'm just a Symbiote... So, what're you going to do with Miss 'I-Will-Win'?"
"Not sure... Maybe try to get Gravemind out of her head, and hopefully she goes back to normal... And after that... Let her go back to her normal life... Not much I can do."
As we walk, we find another door which opens, then we end up in a hallway with a few other doors, on both sides, and a ramp leading up. "Looks like we're back at the beginning... And if that's the case, the room with your reward will be around here."
"Can't wait. S'been an honor dude." Lee moved his hands behind his head.
"Like wise." I go over to a door and open it, I go over and switch the light on, and it shows the weapons armory. "Hope you like weapons, I got quite a few if you want any."
Lee stood there for a moment, just staring. "Dude..." He turned to face me, "Have you read my Christmas list!?"
I laugh and shake my head. "No, but you're free to take as many as you want, I have no use for so many weapons."
Lee grinned (I have no idea how), and ran over to the multiple weapons and grabbed a bunch.
I smirked. 'This guy likes weapons...'
After several minutes, he was done. "Wow! These are awesome! Thanks..." His mood suddenly shifted. "I can't take these without giving you something... I know!" He used his webs to grip his token. "Three questions. One: Can you take care of a child? Two: What gender of a child do you want to have when you're a father? And what's your favorite color?"
I look at him with my head cocked to the side "Um... Yes, I can take care of a child, um... Female, and... Blue? Why do you ask?"
He didn't respond to that, and shooed me out. "I'll call you in an hour. I need to prepare something..."
"Um... Alright..." I exit the room and go back to the entrance of the forunner facility
As I reach the entrance, I look outside, through the hatch to the forest, I turn my head slowly before clambering out. I look around at everything and I take my helmet off, I take a deep breath of fresh air and sigh, I look off to the side to see a log, I walk over and sit down, I look up at the sky, and see a few Pegisi flying about, but, where I am, they could never see me, I look back down to look around the forest. "Well... This is my new life... Better make the most of it..." I sigh again, and look down, I really wish this never happened.
- 1 Hour later-
I sit beside the log, tossing my Magnum in the air, and back into my hand.
"I'm guessing you're bored."
"Course I am, there's nothing to do."
"You could help me figure out something."
"No thanks." I sigh "I'm not gonna help you with whatever it is." Serenitys silent before sighing and going back to what she was doing, and I continue to throw my magnum in the air.
"Yo! I'm done! Get in here!" I heard Lee shout.
I get up and put away the gun before heading back through the hatch and walking to the armory, I make it to the armory door and I walk in.
Inside, a grey Unicorn mare held a small vile of blue and black liquid. She looked at me, and smiled. "Hey man. I'd like you to meet Acid Touch. Your new companion!"
The liquid seemed to move around. "She's a Klyntar baby Symbiote. Like me, but weaker. She might get as strong as me, but it'll take time. She's a baby, so she'll need a host for thirty six hours until the magic kicks in." He held out the vile. "This'll keep her alive until you're ready to be her host."
I look her/him, then I take the small vile, then look back up. "Um... Alright... Thanks, but, Lee, why are you a mare?"
"I used magic to make this form so I can survive without a host. In my world, I'm stuck as this until tomorrow. I've grown to like it."
stare at her/him for awhile before shaking my head. "Well... Alright, I kinda hope that doesn't happen to me, well, I guess you need to get going now?"
"It can't happen to you. I need this form to survive since I'm a symbiote. You've got a body of flesh and blood. Anyway, yes, I do need to go. It was nice meeting you though. Take care of Acid for me." Lee said and a portal just like the one he came here in. "She's made out of the Token, so you most likely won't see me again. So this'll probably be the last time we meet." He tossed a phone-like object to me, which I caught. "Type in how she's doing. I'd like to know. You can tell her what you want her to know. She wont remember me, or anything after you open it up. I've also placed a list of powers she might have."
I look at the phone, then back at her/him. "Alright, thanks, I'll take care of her... Oh, also, don't shoot anyone that's a civilian with those guns, I don't want to get in trouble for giving you guns... Just, point at the bad guys." I laugh at my terrible joke
Lee chuckled. "Who said I was a good guy!? Haha! Anti-Villains rule! And none of this'll come back ta bite ya. I'm from an alternate universe! If anything, you already are in trouble." She/he gave me a mock salute. "Godspeed bro!" He than turned around, and jumped into the portal. It closed right behind him, and the room fell silent.
I look around and sigh.
"Man... It's way to quiet... Kinda miss him already..."
So... Here I am... Standing in the weapons armory, I lift my hand to look at the vial with Acid Touch inside of it, she moves a bit as I look at her.
"Alright... So, if I remember that one spider-man movie... And what Lee says... She really needs a host to live, and she needs to come into contact with skin so I can host her..."
"Do you really think you can trust what he says?"
I sigh and shake my head "Serenity, he seemed to be a cool guy, and he helped me quite a bit, so, yeah, I think we can trust him."
"But we don't know what the thing in that vial will do!"
"Serenity, stop being paranoid, that's my job, second, what's the worst that could happen? We're in a land of colorful talking ponies that are out for my blood... Anything that can give me an edge on them is good for us." I wait for her response.
She's silent before sighing in defeat, "Fine, but if this thing turns out to be a flesh eating monster, it's you're problem." I roll my eyes at that, I look around until I spot a chair nearby, I walk over and sit down, I take off my helmet and look at the vial.
I watch the baby Symbiote move inside of it, and I sigh.
"Well... Let's get this over with." I open the vial and watch Acid as she remains still before slithering out on my hand. I look at her as she lays there as a small blob in my hand, I sigh again before lifting my hand to my neck, I pull back the spandex covering my neck.
And I feel her weight on my hand ease until I feel her slither on my neck, I shiver at the feeling of her settling on my neck, and after a few seconds I feel her still, I let the spandex ease over her and after another few seconds, I feel my mind shift a bit, as if something is settling into it, and just as quick as it started, it stops. I shake my head a bit before grabbing my helmet and putting it back on, I crack my neck and stand back up, setting the vial onto a table.
"Alright, now that's she's settled in, what's next to do Serenity?"
I here her sigh, god she does that a lot, and she responds, "We might want to try and wake up the equine and see what she knows."
"Alright, let's get to it then!" I walk over to the unconscious mare and look her over, she has a large bruise on her cheek from where I slapt her, but other than that, she's alright, I open one of her eyes and look at it, they were blood red with black slits, I let her eye close, and I turn her head from side to side, until I let her go.
"Well... Not sure what to do... She's completely fine, but I have no-" that's when I got an idea, I pull out my magnum and fire off a round at the ground, the sound echoes through the room and the mares head immediately bolts up, looking left and right until looking at me, her pupils go to the size of pinpricks, and she remains completely still.
I sigh at that and shake my head before putting my magnum back to my side, I then look up at her.
"Ma'am, I just need you to answer a few questions, and you're free to leave.
She just stares at me with wide eyes and I just shake my head again.
"Are... Are telling the truth?" I look up at her as she says that, I can hear the fear in her voice, and she's trembling slightly.
"Of course I am! I wouldn't do anything to hurt you." She rubs her cheek as I said that, and I grimace slightly.
"Well... O-ok what do you want to ask me?"
"Just a few things, first, what do you remember?"
She sits there for a minute before answering.
"I just remember leaving my house this morning, then, nothing..."
"Alright, second question, do you know this place?" I gesture to the room.
She sits there, looking around for a minute before shaking her head.
"Alright, my final question... What do you think when you think of the words peace... And salvation?"
"That's not a logical question Kent." Says the one who knows nothing of Halo.
I shake my head at Serenity, but I look back up at the mare to see her sitting there thinking, a look of concentration on her face, her muzzle is scrunched up, and her eyes are narrowed, in all honesty, it's fucking adorable.
But then she looks off into space, and she says something that makes me recoil in surprise.
"Through rock and metal and time, It has listened. Deathly silent, it is waiting, Deep in its artificial grave.

She sits there, deathly silent, and I watch and wait for her next words, only for her to shake her head, and give me a sheepish smile. "Um... What was the question again? I think I spaced off."
But she looks at me with a cocked head, "Um... Hello? Did I... Say something wrong?" I just look at her, eyes wide under my helmet.
"You said something... That... That no one here should even know... Unless... He gave you some memories..." I step back and collapse on a chair, my head in my hands. "How... Just... How?..."
She looks at me, a bit uneasily. "Um... I'm sorry if I offended you, but... Can I go now?"
I look at her, then it hits me... I jump up, startling the mare, and I run to a terminal, I take Serenity out and place her into it.
"Serenity, I need you to look at logs, personal logs, anything, I need something about allies, or something on what they used those cells for!"
Her hologram appears, and it's the first time I've seen her, she has a young looking face with long pale hair, with jeans, and a hoodie on, she looks at me with a annoyed look.
"No please?"
I smack the front of my helmet before looking at her again. "Not now! I need to know what they were gonna do with that much armor and weapons! It looks like they were making an army, but there were no more humans!"
She looks at me, confused now, "What are you trying to say?"
I sigh and shake my head, "This is a HUGE facility! And they must have an A.I. or a few, so they needed to repurpose the armor, the A.I.'s would make them fit a different species by working on the armor and weapons, and telling by all of this here... I wouldn't go against them having the ability to make more Spartans from ponies, Griffins, Minotaurs, anything, and if they weren't able to do anything, then they must have had the ideas to do this, and if you can get deep enough, maybe we could find out for sure if they have the means of making more Spartans or not, and if they do, then they have the things to train them, and the thing they used to change them, we could have allies almost like us, ready to fight by are side, in case anything like the flood happens again!"
After a few seconds, Serenity disappears, before reappearing instantly. "It seems they do."
I just look at her, "Wait... That fast?"
"Times slower for A.I.'s you idiot."
I sigh but look at her, but I see her flicker red for a split second, but I ignore it for now.
"So, we better start! If I remember, we can make Spartan lll's only, Spartan ll's take too long."
She nods her head, "Yes, but it still takes time with Spartan lll's as well... And we need to train children! How will we find any that we don't need to steal?!"
"I'll think of a way" I look at her before walking away, I motion the mare to follow me, and she gets up as I head to the hatch leading to the outside, as we reach it, and we get out, I look off to the forest before looking back at her.
"Look, I need you're help miss..."
"Eclipse"
Thank you Discord! "Eclipse, I know I shouldn't ask you this, but you may have now become part if something big... Very big... And I need you to help me get to Canterlot."
She looks at me with wide eyes, "How did I become apart of this?! And why do you need to get to Canterlot?!"
I sigh and look back to the forest, "Look, You can leave, but this is for the safety of Equestria, actually, the entire planet to be exact, and you became apart if this because of a being who may return... Took control of you, he must have left you because he would be talking by now, but he's not, and I need to get to Canterlot because I need to get recruits for a... Program, and the recruits need to be children, and Canterlot is a big place, and obviously, there are orphans, we could recruit them... I need your help getting them... I promise you won't get too deep into this, and you can back out if you want."
I stand still, looking out, until I feel something bump my leg, and I look down to see Eclipse looking up at me with a glint in her eyes.
"Back out and miss the fun? Buck that, I'm in, I've always wanted to do something instead of my boring job all my life."
I look over at her flank to see a potion being mixed, I shrug then look at her again. "Alright... Wait, that quick? You trust me that easily?"
She looks at me and snorts, "You seem like the good type, not wanting to kill everyone like the princess says."
I smile under my helmet, and I look off towards the far off castle of Canterlot.
'Now this'll be fun now won't it?' I feel Acid shift as I spoke in my mind, and I give a content sigh, life is getting a bit better.
So, after I explained the plan to Serenity, I dropped off a lot of the weapons I had on me, and only take a few things, like my DMR, and a magnum with a silencer, and after I did that, me and Eclipse start are journey.
I'm hoping my plan is simple enough to go off without and hitchs, but knowing my luck, that's not gonna happen.
I bet you're wondering, 'Hey, why are you going? Can't Eclipse just go and do it?' Well, yes, she can, but I rather be there to keep her covered, not sure how Canterlot really is. I know it's full of Nobles who have they're noses so far up the clouds that they might actually find those fucks I was supposed to give, but if anything happens, I need to be there to give off a distraction or scare some pony off.
So, are journey has started, and we have only one real way to get to Canterlot... And that's train, and the only nearest train is in, you guessed it, Ponyville, cause Eclipses town doesn't have one... Great right?
-1 hour later-
So me and Eclipse are currently walking to the town where the six ponies that could actually Fight me! Are, and it's only been a few hours since I was there, sooo... Yeah, they'll be on high alert, I bet you they got those damn guards involved as well, I'd rather not fight any ponies.
"Dammit, wish I could have come up with a better idea then just trying to get past them."
Eclipse looks at me with a cocked head, "It should be really easy to get past them all, we just need to stay on the outskirts of the town."
I look over at her and shake my head, "No, they're on high alert, they'll be watching everywhere for me, and with how much Celestia hates me... She obviously sent guards faster then you could say shit."
"Well can't we sneak past them?"
I nod, "We could quite easily sneak past them, it's really no problem, I just feel worried."
"Why, it's not like it's bad if they see you, you could easily knock them out cold, and you have things that look really... Strange, that you use for weapons... What... Are they exactly?"
I continue walking while looking at her, "They're guns, things that shoot metal bullets out of the barrels of the gun, and can kill anything in an instant if you aim correctly."
She stops and looks at me with wide eyes before speaking, "Are you planning on killing somepony?!"
I look back at her as I stop walking, "Course not! Why would I shoot anyone unless in self defense!?!" I pull out my Magnum and twirl it in my hand, "I bet you're gonna say, if guns can kill someone so quickly, then they're bad! But that's a lie, guns are just tools for the means of war, the person who's pulling the trigger is the one who is either good or bad." I turn back around and start walking again, she follows and we go into a silent walk.
After walking for a few minutes she speaks, "What was it like... In your world?"
I continue to walk as I give her my answer, "Fan fucking tastic, are government were a bunch of idiots for a good while, people literally didn't care if they littered in nature, killing planets and animals, we're constantly fighting, and pollution is pretty bad, if I remember correctly, a kid killed his mother because she took away his game... Not sure if it was true, but I wouldn't put it past us humans."
She's silent before speaking again, "Was there anything good in your world?"
I stop and think for a minute before walking again, "Yes actually, some of the people who weren't complete assholes, would do pretty good things, some people did charity to help places like hospitals and such, we're pretty technology advanced, we have vehicles that can drive themselves and all we need to do is steer them, we have giant buildings that reach the sky, we even got to the moon without the aid of magic."
I hear her literally stop and fall flat on her face, I turn back to look at her. "Hey, you alright?" I ask.
She she gets back up, shaking her head, "How... How could you get to the moon without magic?"
I shrug, "Pretty simple really, I mean, not THAT simple, but I mean we just had a lot of ambition, to the point to when we're breaking things we never thought could be broken, and I mean with some things like... Machines that can think for themselves, and have faces that can have expressions and eyes with pupils that dilate and such. We also have things that can allow us to talk to people from across the world as if they were in the same room as us."
As I look at her, I swear I can see smoke coming out from her ears, I go over and wave my hand in front of her face, she doesn't react at all, I snap my fingers, still nothing. I stand there, with my hand on my chin, After a few seconds of thinking, I get a brilliant idea.
I put my hand behind her ear and start to scratch it, and the effect is immediate. Her eyes close, and she leans into my hand, cooing. After a few seconds of that, I stop and pull my hand away, and she falls onto the ground her eyes snap open and she looks around confused.
"What... Just happened?"
"I'm pretty sure I broke you're brain for a bit, until I scratched you behind your ear, and then you started acting like a cat."
She looks at me with the most confused look before getting up and shaking her fur before looking at me again.
"Can we just go and stop talking... My brain hurts from all of the things you told me."
I chuckle while shaking my head, "Yeah, let's get moving."
I turn back around and start walking again, with her behind me, I look up at the leaves, did I forget to mention we were walking through a forest? I did, didn't I? Man I have horrible memory, but I digress.
We continue are walk until I feel something in my mind shift, I shake my head until I hear a timid female child's voice.
'D-Daddy?'
I nearly tripped when I heard Acid speak, but I regained my balance before I continue to walk, 'Um... Yes?'
'Where are we going?'
Ok, did I mention how weird it is to be talking to a voice in you're head? It's pretty fucking weird.
'We're going to a town that's only a few more minutes away.' As I thought that, I could see Ponyville in the distance, but the problem was this, it was a large stretch of open ground, I hate open ground with a passion. If you've played enough games, you know why.
"There it is." Eclipse says, I look back at her, then back at the town.
"Damn... That's a lot of open ground... I don't think I can make it... You need to go in alone Eclipse, I'll be tailing you, just get to the train, and I'll meet you on there."
She turns back to me, and I point forward, she sighs, "Fine" she starts walking out, towards Ponyville, and I look across the stretch of open ground, then to the outskirts of the town.
The forest went a bit off to the side until it ended, and I sigh, I'm gonna have to obviously need to book it, or, try using the invisibility cloak to get past them... Ah crap...
'Daddy?'
'Yes Acid?'
'Why is that... Pony going to the town but you're not?'
'Well Acid, I'm not on very good terms with the inhabitants of this town... They actually hate me, and there is a few of them that could hurt me pretty badly.'
'Why do they hate you?'
I start walking at the outskirts of the town, still by the forest.
'Well, they think I'm evil when I'm not.'
She's silent before asking, 'Why do they think you're evil?'
Man, she is very curious isn't she?
'Because of past mistakes that were out of my hand'
I wait for her response, but it never comes, I reach the end of the forest and I look back at the town, then I get a brilliant idea. Serenity had said that she activated a few more armor abilities, a menu appears in front of my face inside of my helmet and I scroll it, don't ask how I know how to use it... I really can't explain even if I wanted to. I go through them until I see the one I wanted, Hologram, thank you Serenity!
I start running to the town as fast as I could, I get to the first building and I look past a corner, I immediately pull back, Rainbow Dash is floating right there with a few guards, I take a deep breath before I look again, they aren't looking my way. I get out it into the open more, and release the Hologram, it sprints off, passing by RD and the gaurds, they wall jump back in surprise.
"What was that?!" Says one of the guards
"I don't know!?!" Says the other one
"Wait, THATS THE THING! AFTER IT!" Rainbow flys off after the fake, and the guards run after her. I switch my armor ability to Invisibility, and I wait a few seconds before turning it on, I creep from house to house, taking breaks when the Invisibility wore off.
After a few minutes, I'm next to Raritys shop, still invisible, I look through the window to see Rarity with Spike, she looks like she's saying something, and Spikes says something back, he points to the door, and she holds a hoof to her head before nodding her head, saying something else, they then exit the place.
I look both ways until I open the window I was looking through and crawl in, I shut the window and I stand up, the invisibility turns off, and I look around. There's no one else thank god! So I walk though while looking around, that is until I saw a mannequin, it stares off into space with its empty face, I turn my back only to turn around instantly, it hadn't moved.
I glare at it with pure hatred, I know what you're thinking, 'What's the matter with mannequins?', look, I watched a certain YouTuber who hated them, so, in the name of him, I have made mannequins my enemies.
I step up to the one I'm looking at, and I bitch smack it, it falls to the ground and doesn't move. I stare at it for awhile before deeming it harmless... For now... And I walk to the other side of the place, that is, until I hear hoof steps coming from the stairs. I look back and immediately dive to cover behind some boxes. As I peek out, I see Sweetebelle and Scootaloo talking excitedly about something, Applebloom wasn't with them.
"They said he was really big! Bigger then Big Macintosh! And he ran really fast! Not as fast as Rainbow Dash, but still fast!" Says the little orange filly, I don't get why people's call her a chicken... Wait... Ok, now I get it after looking at her... Man, people are a tad bit mean about that, she can't fly, and she's orange, it doesn't make her a chicken!
"Really? Maybe we can get are cutie marks if we catch him!" I sigh at what Sweetebelle said, you can't catch a Spartan... It's nearly impossible unless you lure them into a trap, which only worked once on me! And they gave me gravity hammers and I thought, 'KILL THEM ALL!' But then I was captured.
"Yeah! I bet you we could catch him if we looked for him!"
I was so caught up in thought that I didn't hear them take a deep breath.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS ALIEN HUNTERS YAAAY!!!"
"GAH!!" I jump right up and hit the ceiling before coming back down and smashing through the box I was behind, why'd they have to be so flipping loud! I lift my head from the box, and I look around to see them look right at me.
We have a stare down for awhile, until I lift my hand up and wave, that set them off screaming out of the Store/Home, I wasn't that scary... Was I? I get up and pat myself down until I hear yelling, I immediately turn to a window and jump out of it right as a few guards go in, I turn invisible and crouch next to the wall.
"Where'd it go?!"
"There! It went out the window! After it!"
I hear they're hooves thunder out of the building, and through the way the window was pointing outward. I watch as they go by and I creep away.
-10 minutes later-
After awhile, I find the train station, and I board the caboose. It was uneventful after the Carousel Boutique incident, and I got a straight shot to the train station, I sit back and relax after all of that.
I really hate sneaking... It's very hard to do...
'Daddy?'
'Yes Acid?'
'Where's that one pony you were with?'
I'm about to get back up when she said that when I feel the train start moving, I look to the door to the cabins and I go over to the door when it opens revealing Eclipse, once she see's me, she sighs in relief.
"Thank Celestia you're here, I thought you were left behind or worse." She comes over and sits down.
"Well... Was there really any doubt?"
I sit next to her, and I sigh.
"So... I'm guessing you're small trip here was eventful?"
I look over to her, "Don't ask... Too much sneaking... I just need to sleep for a bit."
She nods, "You get some rest, I'll make sure to wake you if any pony is coming."
I nod my head before leaning my head back and shutting my eyes, going into my dreamless state of slumber once more.
I open my eyes from my not too long sleep, I yawn and crack my neck. I look around and see through the windows that the sun had gone down.
"Weird, didn't think it be that long of a ride..."
I stretch my arms before trying to get up, only to feel a weight on my lap, I look down to see Eclipse had fallen asleep on my lap. I could hear her soft snores and her ear was flicking.
I cock my head for second before just remaining silent, I know not to wake people up because it can ruin they're mood, and I rather not have her pissed at me, don't ask how many times that's happened to me.
I start to stare off into space.
I wonder what my family have been up too? Hopefully they're doing alright. I know my siblings could get really annoying for my parents, and I'm the only one who can really keep them distracted, all I did was say, 'Hey! Anybody wanna watch me play Skyrim?!' And they'd run down to watch as I slayed Dragons, Giants, large numbers of foes and any real beast that would try to fight me.
I sigh, I really wish for my old life back, but, I can't dwell on such things, this is my life now, and I have to push forward, if I don't... Well, that just means there's no point of standing up then. I would just need to give up, but, I'm not one for giving up easily.
I look back down at Eclipse, and slowly try to push her off of my lap, so I could get up. I get close until she moves quickly and latches onto my stomach, hugging me with her eyes still closed, fast asleep. I won't admit that nearly scared the shit out of me, I'll say I jumped a bit... You can't prove anything!
So, now here I am, with a bat pony latched to my stomach. I sigh and try to pry her off me, only for her grip on me to be too tight, I sigh for the third time, and finally give up. It's not like she was doing anything wrong, more or less she's just asleep, and I can understand when stuff like this happens, person is asleep, and they grab anything that's close by for no reason... But there are those weird people who eat the thing they're holding, but I'm completely sure she's just latching onto the closest thing to her, which is me.
I put my hands behind my head and close my eyes, maybe I can get a bit more sleep before we arrive at Canterlot.
'Daddy?'
Well... There went my hopes for sleep...
'Yes Acid?'
'Where are we going?'
This seems familiar... Don't know why though...
'To a big city with a castle.'
She silent before asking another question, at this rate, I'll never get sleep, and I love my sleep!
'Why are we going there?'
'We're going there to gather three recruits'
'What for?'
'So we can make more Spartans like me.'
She's silent. And as I wait, she remains silent, and I sigh in relief as I lean my head back to finally get sleep, only for the train to stop. I look at the window and see a large tower and few buildings around.
Fucking perfect... I hate when I can't sleep.
I reach down and go against what I didn't want to do, I poke Eclipse.
"Oi, wake up! We're here."
She stays asleep and I groan and poke her again.
"Hey! I said get up! Stop you're sleeping!" She groans and waves hoof at me before going back to sleep, she let go of me, so I push her off of me and she groans again before lifting her head at me.
"Can't a mare get any sleep?!"
"No, because we need to get moving, we still got a job to do."
She grumbles something before yawning and walking off the end of the caboose and onto the tracks before climbing up onto the platform. I get off the end of the caboose and turn on my invisibility cloak and climb onto the platform.
I watch as ponies walk around, talking or just moving past, I creep past most of them, tailing Eclipse as she walked away. Hopefully we can find an orphanage and they'll still be open.
-1 hour later-
So me and Eclipse met up a few times in alleyways and behind buildings to talk, Acid was quiet, not quite liking this place, and I'll agree with her, I hate places that look to rich for anything else but big buildings.
I had to skirt past a few guards, but they weren't really hard to get past, because they're guards... Pony guards... You must know what I'm getting at with this.
So after all that time, we finally end up at a nice looking orphanage, again, I can't name it because I don't know letters or symbols they're using.
We stop outside of its doors and Eclipse looks at the bending of light that is me.
"So, am I going to go in alone or?"
I look at her, "No, I'll come in as well, I want to see who look like able recruits." She nods her head and turns to go in but I stop her.
"You know how to do this all, right?" She nods at me.
"Course I do, it's quite simple, and if we stay here until day, I could possibly get them tomorrow morning and we can take the train."
She looks back at the door and enters, I follow close behind.
As we enter, I feel a bit warmer and a bit more safe, I guess they have that for the foals. I look around to see there are a few pictures on the walls, a bit of furniture around the place, in all honesty, it looks decent.
We continue until we find a mare at a desk looking at some paper, she looks up at Eclipses approach.
"Hello, it's quite late, have you come to consider adoption?"
"Yes, I came to adopt"
The mare claps her hooves together, "Wonderful! I can take you to were they all sleep, but you must be very quiet, they're all sleeping."
Eclipse nods, and the two of them start down a hallway, I look around one more time before following them.
We walk down the hallway for a few minutes before getting to a door, the mare opens it and walks in slowly, Eclipse and I follow. When we get in, we look around to see bunk beds on both sides of the large room, an in them are the forms of sleeping fillys and colts.
As I look, I can't see many foals, I mean, there aren't many, so that means the they were getting adopted, which is good, and there were still a few they could be potential recruits.
The mare says something to Eclipse I can't hear, and I watch as they turn yo leave, I look back at the foals, then follow after them, this should be interesting.
-Morning-
So I and Eclipse found a place to stay after the short visit, we then find are selves back in the lobby with the same mare, her and Eclipse were chatting, while I stayed in a corner, hidden in the shadows, there was enough to where I could hide without the invisibility cloak, which is perfect.
I sigh, this little mission is almost over, and we can leave this place, I'm getting tired of seeing nobles with they're noses so stuck up that it makes me want to punch them with all my might, which would kill them, would I really care? Nope! Not one fucking bit! They deserve what they would get.
I look up as I hear a bit of noise coming from the room with the children, sounds like they're already up... Reminds me of my siblings, I shake my head and look up as the mare excuses herself and leaves through the doors, I guess we gotta wait a bit longer.
-Look! 1 hour later! Fantastic!-
So after the foals had breakfast, to which I realize I haven't eaten anything in a long time! and my stomach is pretty angry about it, and he is voicing his opinions quite loudly. We finally get to see some of the foals more up and personal, or, more or less, Eclipse gets to get closer while I have to keep a distance so I don't get bumped into while I'm invisible.
There were quite a few, not a lot, but a good amount, I can see a green unicorn colt with a black mane and tail running around with a white earth pony filly with a blonde mane and tail, laughing without a care in the world, enjoying life. I shake my head and turn to see Eclipse talking to another filly, this one was a Pegasus, she's cyan with a darker blue mane and tail, at the tips of her wings they're red, and she was nice rose red eyes.
I slowly walk crouch over to get a better look, and I can tell that she may make a good recruit, she looks young and happy, full of life, and she looks to be in good shape.
"So what's you're name little filly?" I hear Eclipse ask
"Amber Shine" she responds.
Oh god... My mind just remembered something... Foals like these are freaking adorable! She just has those big eyes, full of wonder and youth, oh god, at this rate I'll get diabetes from the cuteness overload!
I look away and at the other foals running around or playing with toys... And I smile, I love places like this, I just like to see so many happy faces. I hate when people just ignore that, but I will never ignore a child... Unless it's my siblings or they're idiot friends, then I will do everything in my power to get away from them.
I start backwards, only to feel something ram into my back. I turn to see a colt rubbing his muzzle from where he hit me.
He looks up at me, only to see nothing, he gains a confused look before getting up and poking me. He cocks his head, even more confused, he tries to poke me again, but I moved away, and his hoof poked nothing but the air.
I swear I could see the gears turning in that little head of his, until another colt came and tagged him and ran off, the colt immediately starts chasing after the other one, and I sigh in relief, seriously just dodged a bullet right there.
So after a few minutes more of looking at the foals, I found the three. First one is Amber Shine, the second is Golden Star, a yellow unicorn colt with a red mane and tail with grass green eyes, and the last one is a grey Earth pony colt who's name is Silver Degree, he has a black mane and tail with ocean blue eyes.
These are my future Spartans, I know what you're all thinking. Don't they need to have a specific blood type and such? Well... From what I know of Spartan three's, they don't need a specific blood type, they just need to be children, and they need to be trained and giving... Whatever they gave to Spartan three's, I really think it's a serum that they gave them, not really sure.
But, after about half an hour of Eclipse getting everything in order, we were finally on are way back to the train with the foals, they were full of excitement at being adopted, and it made me happy to see them happy... And then I got cocky, and I can't believe what I did... I took a HUGE risk... But after watching too much Vanossgaming prop hunt, I risked it.
I went behind two guards, took off my invisibility cloak, and start dancing, now, if you thought I was doing some kind of dance... You were dead wrong, I was dancing like the way eleventh Doctor would... Basically, my arms are waving about and I'm acting like an idiot.
And you can guess, the nobles stopped and looked at me with wide eyes and open mouths, the guards just looked confused, and they would turn around, only for me to disappear, then reappear when they turn back around.
This went on for a minute before finally a mare noble screamed, to which, Bugged out and was gone before more guards could arrive. I was back on the train just as it was leaving. And I watch as a commotion starts, and I proceed to laugh my ass off before going back into the caboose and sitting down, still snickering to myself.
Maybe this would be fun after all?
Chapter 9, Waking up, and finding out I became an Experiment
I try to open my eyes only to shut them from a blinding light, I try to get up, but I only succeed in lifting my head. I flip to my side and put my arm under me and rub the palm of my hand on my eye.
After a few seconds of blinking, My eyes finally adjust to the light and I can see I'm in some sort of medical bay or something.
I look to see my armor was removed, and I still felt huge amounts of pain in my body.
What the hell happened? I remember... Getting back to Eclipses town, and she took the foals to her house for awhile until I could come finally meet them... But that's all I remember...
I get up off the operating table I was on, and I try to walk, only to fall to the ground. My legs felt weak, and so did my arms, I lift myself off the ground, and get back to my feet.
I take a few weak steps, until I looked up, my eyes blurred, and I had a splitting headache. I rub my head in pain, and continue forward, until I get to the wall for support.
"Ahem"
I turn to look back to see Serenity in her hologram form, looking at me.
"Well... It's good your awake... But you shouldn't be right now, it's only been a few hours since you've been stable."
I look at her with a confused look, "What do you mean stable? Was I attacked or something?!"
She only sighs and shakes her head, "No, you were not... But you shouldn't even be awake, even if it's a good sign that your alive."
"If I wasn't attacked... What happened to me?" I ask
She sighs again before looking away, "I... Wasn't in the right of mind... I... I'm sorry..."
I give her another confused look, "What do you mean? What did you do?!"
I still couldn't see to well, but she was just close enough to see her flinch, "I... I found out... After the few days you were gone with Eclipse, that they had so much here... They had the means to make Spartan twos as well as three's... And I... Needed a test subject, and you were the only one anywhere, and I got curious of how Doctor Halsey did it all... And I thought I could... Make you a better Spartan by doing this..."
I look at her with narrowed eyes, "What do you mean, make me a better Spartan?"
She flinches again before sighing, "I... I did the unthinkable... And it worked... Sort of... I... I gave you the physical augmentations and serums they gave Spartan twos and three's... I... Enhanced you... And-"
"ARE YOU INSANE!?!?!"
She flinches from my yelling.
"ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE ALIVE! I COULD HAVE NEVER SURVIVED ANY OF THAT WITHOUT BEING CRIPPLED IN SOME WAY!"
She looks down, not meeting my angry glare.
"OUT OF ABOUT THIRTY OF THE SEVENTY FIVE SURVIVED THAT! AND ABOUT TWELVE OF THEM WERE CRIPPLED FROM IT! AND THEY WERE ALL TRAINED TO ENDURE THE PAIN, AND WERE ALL CHILDREN THAT WERE MORE THEN ABLE TO ADAPT!"
She doesn't say a word, just looking down, and by now, I was beyond furious, I felt like I could tear down a Covenant Hunter with my bare hands, and beat fifty elites with its shield arm.
I just couldn't calm down, and I punch a wall in my anger, and when I look at it, I could see my fist print with blood in it now on the wall.
"And no! You didn't stop there! YOU FUCKING COMBINED IT WITH WHAT THEY DID TO SPARTAN THREE'S! ARE SO INSANE THAT YOU WANT ME DEAD!?!?!"
That's when I noticed her turn full on red, and she looks up, glaring at me with a fire that could burn suns.
"I did this to help you, and you yell at me... It was a success wasn't it? Your not dead are you? Your so much better then you were before... And yet you yell at me... I did this to help you fight and stand against the world, no, the UNIVERSE! AND YOU AREN'T THANKING ME FOR WHAT I DID?! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HELP YOU MORE THEN ANYTHING!"
"OH! SO RISKING MY LIFE FOR A DAMN TEST WAS SO WORTH IT! I FEEL WORSE THEN WHEN I CAME HERE! AND I KNOW I DIDN'T GET AWAY SCOTT FREE DID I?!"
She's silent, looking down again, she then turned blue again, "I... I didn't do something correctly... You have... More then, a month to live... Two at best to live... I'm sorry..."
I just look at her, with wide eyes, "So... I'm going to die... In about one to two months..." She only nods.
I knew I would die at some point, but I thought I would die by old age, not from some god damn experiment...
I could only stand there, looking off into space, I had no idea what to do, until I looked back at Serenity.
"How long was I unconscious?" I ask, and she flinches again.
"Three weeks..."
I just look at her again before shaking my head, "I need to go check on Eclipse, if I don't, she'll think I left her with three foals... And wasted time." Serenity only nods before blinking out.
I sigh before looking off to the side to see my armor on a table, I walk over to it and see that it looks a bit different , as in, it looks a bit more armored... And bigger, that's when I realized that Spartan twos were about seven feet tall... And I look down, I don't think I got bigger, but I shrug it off, I don't really have long to live now, Why should I care?
'Dad?'
Wait, I forgot about Acid!
'Acid! Are you alright!?'
'Yeah dad, I'm fine... Serenity didn't do anything to me... But she did something to you... You don't seem right, and when you were unconscious, you thrashed in your sleep.'
'I... I'm fine, don't worry about me.'
'But... Dad'
"I said I was fine! Just drop the subject!"
She remains silent at my outburst, and I sigh.
After about... I have no fucking clue how long. I got all my damn armor on, and I was set to get moving again, that's when a list appeared in the front of my face, I look through it to see they were songs, my songs, ones I used to love listening to. Serenity appears in front of me after a minute and she looks down again.
"I added that to... At least make your now short life a bit more bearable... Again... I'm sorry." She flickers red, and that's when I knew I needed to ask.
"Serenity, what's happened to you?" She looks up at me in surprise before looking away.
"I'm corrupt Kent... A virus was in the system, and before long... It was to late to stop it..."
"But I saw it weeks ago, when I first put you in... It couldn't have been that fast."
She looks back at me before sighing, "It was a virus made by the Forunners to keep out anything like me... I destroyed most of the virus, but it affected me... I'm a bit more... Insane then I was." With that, she blinks out again, and I look down.
Did I fuck up by yelling at her? No... I didn't... She deserved to get yelled at...
I look back at the list, and I move my eyes down, and it scrolls down, I smile at the song I saw, Carry on wayward son.
I think for a second on how to get it to play when it just started playing, and I nod, before I walk out of the medical bay, nodding my head to the music.
Great music, two months to live, the possibility of attack from anywhere, and tons of weapons... I think I'll go out with a bang when the two months are up.
Best part of the music was it was helping ignore the pain in my legs, arms, and.. Well... Everywhere actually.
-Minutes later of walking-
I make it to the armory, and I look at all of the weapons when I turn the lights on, so many to choose from... And so little time to enjoy them... I shrug before just grabbing a DMR and a magnum and walking back to the entrance.
I open the hatch and climb out, as I get out, I stretch before walking to Eclipses town.
Chapter 10, Meeting the new recruits, and an unexpected guest... With a twist!
So after a walk and turning invisible later, I was at her front door.
Don't know how she'll react, now I know I got bigger, and my armor is a bit different, hopefully she'll recognize me. After taking a deep breath, I knock on the door.
It's silent for a moment, before I hear hoofsteps, and some other smaller one's following it, then the door opens.
As you can guess, I'm still invisible, so when the door opens, I see Eclipse, but she doesn't see me. She pokes her head out, looking both ways until stepping out, only to o bump into me.
"What the?!" She shakes her head before glaring at me, but then it dawns on her face and she runs back inside faster then a scared cat.
I just stare at the closed door for a second before sighing.
"You've got to be kidding me" I shake my head before knocking on the door again, silence is all that greets me. I knock again, still, silence. I growl before just opening the door and getting hit in the face with a broom.
I fall backwards onto my back in surprise, before getting back up and looking at Eclipse who had a broom and a grin, Turning off my invisibility I glare at her, not giving a fuck who was around.
"Why the fuck did you hit me with a broom?! I disappear for three weeks and you hit me with a broom?!"
"It was payback for not coming back, and I think you deserved it." She giggles before moving out of the way of the door, allowing me to walk in, to which I do.
As I walk in, I can see Amber Shine standing there, with wide eyes.
"Hello little one... How are you?" She doesn't move, or make a sound, I can tell she's on the edge of being terrified, but she's too curious to move, I only shake my head and look around the room.
"Hey, do you want anything to eat or drink?" I look up as Eclipse calls from the kitchen.
"Um... Guess some water would be alright... Haven't had anything to drink in three weeks... I think..."
She pokes her head out of the kitchen, "What do you mean by that?"
I shake my head, "I'll explain later, right now, I just came to see how everything was going with you."
She walks out of the kitchen with a glass of water balanced on her back, she walks over to me and I take it, she then sits down on a chair.
"Well... Everything has been fine... The foals are well behaved... And they get along fine." She smiles at Amber who's still staring at me with wide eyes.
I look over to her, then back to Eclipse, "Well... Things haven't been to great with me... More or less..."
Eclipse looks over at me with a cocked head, "Why?" She asks, to which I just sigh.
"I found out my... A.I. Thought it be smart to experiment on me... And because of those experiments... I now have about two months to live."
She looks at me with wide eyes, "Y-You only have two months to live!?" To which I nod my head and she takes a particular interest to the floor.
"It isn't that bad... I mean... I'm stronger... Faster, hell, I could probably take on a full on adult dragon, and walk away with nothing more then a small scratch on my armor.
My com turns on at that moment and I hear Serenity's voice.
"KENT! Someone's trying to get through the hatch to the base! Get back here and deal with them! I still don't have control of the security!" She says urgently.
My eyes widen and I place the glass of water down before looking at Eclipse, "Sorry to cut this short, but I gotta move, I'll talk to you later." I don't wait for a response before running to the door, opening it, turning on my invisibility and running as fast as I could back to the base.
-Time skips... You gotta love 'em... Am I right? Oh... Sorry... A bit of running later.-
After a few minutes of running that... Should really have taken longer... Seriously, I was near the hatch under about ten minutes of constant running.
I reach the clearing, I hide in the bushes and look out to see a group of Griffins, about five, armed to the teeth with weapons and armor, standing around a mare holding... What is that?... Wait... A child?! Oh someone's about to get fucked up!
The griffins were saying something, but I didn't really listen, I was watching the mare, and I could see she was badly wounded, with cuts and bruises, what looks like to be a broken leg, she looks to be beaten in multiple occasions, her mane was all dirty and mud caked. And I could tell she was having a hard time breathing, she was also crying as the lead Griffin was yelling at her.
He then made the mistake of grabbing the foal, to which I had just about enough, and a bullet was out of the barrel of my DMR before he had even tugged the foal away.
His chest exploded in front of the mare and his comrades, the other griffins look around with wide eyes and weapons drawn, and I get really pissed now, and I decide to step out in front of them, and they all look at me as if I was a monster... Which I may now just become.
I point at the Griffins who were now just staring at me with wicked grins, and I pull my finger across my neck, to which they think is the right time to attack.
The first attack is one charging at me with a broadsword poised to strike, I connect my DMR to my back before ripping my knife out and running straight at him, he swings, I parry and grabs his neck, before lifting him off the ground, and snapping his neck, quickly and efficiently.
I feel something ping off my shields, and I look to see a griffin with a crossbow, he was reloading it, but didn't get to finish as my knife found his forehead, he looks up for a minute before dropping his crossbow and collapsing onto the ground.
I then feel something else hit me, and I can see a griffin with a greatsword, getting ready to hit me again, only for me to throw his comrades body to the side, and catching it in mid swing, I feel some blood coming from my hand, but I ignore it, as I tear his sword from his grip, twirl it, and stab him in the face with it, he falls, and then, there was one.
And he tried to take flight, only for me to pull out my magnum and put a hole in his left wing. He yells in pain, but I quickly silence it with my hand gripping his throat, he starts gasping for breathe, clawing my hand, trying to get away. But I easily pick him up off the ground, and look at him, dead in the eyes, and he stares at me with eyes full of terror.
"No Mercy... No Remorse... No Forgiveness." His eyes start to bulge out of his head, and I snap his neck with a quick twist, and he falls limp in my grasp, and I let his lifeless corpse fall to the ground.
I turn to the mare and see her looking at me with wide scared eyes, but I can see a twinge of hope in them, I walk closer to which she tries to crawl away only to wince in pain.
I hold my hands out to her, "Hey, I won't hurt you... I promise... I just came to help." She still looks terrified, and if you looked at my hulking size, I wouldn't blame her.
But she does seem to relax, only to start coughing, and that coughing turns into a hacking fit, and that starts and the foal starts to cry. I look down at it, and see... What... The... Fuck!?!
It has what looks like a dragon tail coming out of the blanket it was wrapped in, seriously... What the actual diddly fuck is that?
I crouch to her level and get a bit closer, and she's to busy trying to calm the foal down to see me get closer, and when she looks up to see me right next to her, she squeaks and tries to get away again, but I hold her still and she winces as she tried to get away.
I shake my head before looking her over, she was malnourished, more skin and bones then anything, she looked to have possibly a few broken ribs... She indeed has a broken leg... Left back one to be precise. She also has a few long gashs across her back, and when I look at them, they look like claw marks... From something big... I keep looking until I find something disturbing, she has a fresh gash across her stomach, and there's a lot of blood, it looks deep.
I start to pick her up but she starts screaming as soon as do and I stop, as I look at her, she slaps my helmet.
"I'm not going anywhere you idiot! I've lost too much blood..." She looks down, and that's when I finally notice that she was pale, well... She has pink fur and a orange mane... So she doesn't look to bright... So... Yeah.
"I can get you medical attention if you allow me to get you out of here." But she only shakes her head.
"I was a nurse before this happened... If you move me, I'll just lose more blood... I'm not going to make it." I look at her before and idea comes to my head.
"Stay here, I'll be right back!" I get up and pen the hatch, I run down and when I hit the floor, I race to the medical bay.
As I get there, I look around, until I find what I was looking for. Bio-Foam, I played Halo ODST to know what it does, I grab it and race back to the hatch.
As I climb up I hear crying, and I clamber out of the hatch to see the mares head was leaning against the ground, the foal or... Whatever it was, still in her hooves.
I run over and put two fingers to her neck, checking her pulse, nothing... I was too slow...
I slam my fist into the ground, and I look down in anger.
'Dad?'
I give Acid no response.
'Dad... It wasn't your fault... You tried.'
"I'm going to find out whoever sent these bastards, tear out they're intestines, and shove them down they're throats, then, rip they're heads off they're shoulders, and shove those up they're asses... And just because I can do it... Throw them into a meat grinder."
Acid doesn't say another word as I continue to stare at the ground in pure anger... I hate it when someone dies and I can't help them... And if you thought it happened in my old life, your wrong... I played too many games, and every time someone died, and I could have saved them... I get pissed beyond words... Not many people I knew died at all really back on earth... It was... Calm... Nice... Peaceful... And boring...
I Finally look up at the foal who was still crying, and I pick it up. The blanket was covering it's face, and I pull it down to see... Excuse me... What?
The foal, obviously female by the looks of the face, its still crying, but I can't distinguish what it is... It looks equine... But it also has, what looks like... Scales? On its face. It has two horns pointing back across her head, they look like dragon horns, but I really have no clue.
"What are you?" I say more to myself then anything, but at my words, she stops crying and looks up at me, with wide eyes. Looking at her, I can't really say anything else, her... What? Scales? Fur? Bah, too confusing, just gonna go with fur and scales, but the color of it is grey, her eyes are a clear sky blue, and her pupils are a bit... Slitted, she has a mane and its purple, all in all... Still not sure what to make of her.
I put my hand against my helmet visor and sigh, I look down at her to see she's staring at my hand. I look at it, then to her, I shake my head before doing one thing all children by what I can tell of her age love, I let her look at my hand a bit closer by basically putting it right next to her face, she stares for a minute before her... Hooves? Claws? Whatever they are, grabs my hand and she starts trying to eat it. I chuckle before shaking my head again and getting up.
I can't take care of her, so Eclipse will have too... Thank god Eclipse understands some of my predicament. As I stand fully up, I start walking back to her house, I'll bury the mare when I get back, and I'll burn the griffins... They don't deserve a proper burial.
After all of that... I've got plans now... If Celestia can't keep anyone safe from others, and says she does... I will, and she's now on my shit list... Under only two others... Those two get they're own personal hell in my mind.
I continue my walk to Eclipses house, the... I guess foal is still trying to eat my hands, and I'm fuming inside.
This place is supposed to be peaceful... And I find griffins trying, and succeeding, on killing someone... Oh those Griffins have now made a very powerful enemy, who will hunt them down... And show no mercy... Exactly how a Space Marine would say it... No Mercy, No Remorse, No Forgiveness.
I walk through the town which is pretty much empty, since it's the evening, and it's a sleepy town. I go up to Eclipses door and knock, after a few seconds, the door opens and she's standing there, she smiles at me, until she sees what's in my arms.
"What's that?" She asks, to which I'm silent as I walk into her house, she moves aside as I do, and she shuts the door before following me.
"It's a foal Eclipse." She stops as I say that, and she looks at me with wide eyes as I stand in front of her.
"I need you to take care of her... Her mother was killed, and I was to slow to save her." Her eyes widen and she looks to the blanket in my arms, to which I bend down and give her to Eclipse.
"I don't know what she is... But I know she is a foal... She needs someone to take care of her." As I pass the foal to Eclipse, she starts to cry as she leaves my hands, and Eclipse is quick to try and calm her down, but to no avail.
I only sigh as I get up and get ready to leave
"Wait!" I stop and look back to Eclipse
"I was wondering... You look really tired, and I wanted to know if you wanted to stay the night?" She looks at me with a hopeful look on her face, and after a few seconds, I sigh.
"Fine... Only because I really need to sleep."
Her eyes light up like the sun, and the foal stops crying and starts to laugh, weird child...
"Oh! I'll get some blankets and pillows! Wait... Are you hungry? I'll go make you something." I raise my hand but she just gives me the foal and walks off, I look down at the foal, and she just smiles at me.
-1 hour later-
I'm now just sitting in a recliner... And god it's huge! I mean, seriously! Why the hell does she need this big of one?! It is literally able to hold me and the weight of my armor, yes, I am still wearing my armor... It doesn't feel right to take off.
She did give me some salad which was probably the only thing I've eaten for awhile, and now I have a blanket covering me and my armor... I think she forgot I'm wearing armor, she just had this... Look on her face, I don't know, she looked... Very very happy for some reason, well I ain't gonna say anything cause that's how I get into awkward situations.
She went to bed a little while ago, the foal fell asleep, I need to think of a name to give her... Something nice... And I'm actually really tired, so I'm probably about to nod off... Well, dreamless sleep here I come!
I closed my eyes as I thought that, and sleep took me, aw shit, I forgot to check on Acid... Hopefully she isn't upset... I'm just tired and need sleep.
-Dreamscape-
Well... This is new... I'm standing in a field, looking out to a forest, the sky is dark, and the moon and stars are shining... Eh, I still prefer Earths stars, so much better in the right place.
I look up to the sound of flapping, and that's when I see a Dark Blue Alicorn flying towards me, she looks content, that is... Until she looked and saw me, her smile turned into a scowl, and she starts towards me.
Well shit... This isn't going to end well... I just know it. When she lands a bit of a distance away in front of me, she looks none to happy to see me.
"FOUL BEAST! YOUR KIND HAS TORMENTED ARE SUBJECTS FOR FAR TOO LONG IN THE PAST! YOU WILL REPENT!"
Is she serious? Repent? For what my kind has done?
I start to break out into historical laughter at this, and her scowl turns into a look of confusion, before she scowls again.
"WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT BEAST!?"
"You just- you just expect me to fear you and repent because of things my kind has done, and that you will, what? Throw me into a dungeon or something? Turn me into stone? Hahaha! That's rich! You expect that shit to work on me?"
Her scowl deepens, and she glares at me.
"THIS IS ARE DOMAIN! AND WE SHALL-"
I didn't even give her time to finish as I snap my fingers, and we're now in a metal hallway, she turns and looks around with surprise.
"H-How did you?"
"This is my dream... And I'll do whatever the hell I want!"
That's when a window beside her starts to have banging come from it, she turns to see a man begging her for help.
"PLEASE! Help me!" She raises a hoof to her mouth, then reaches to the window, That's when a Necromorph comes out from behind him and spears him and tears him apart with absolute ease, and she backs up to the other side of the wall, as she watches it look at her, roar, and climb into the vents.
"Wh-What was that?!"
"Oh... Something that's not as worse as some other stuff that I'm gonna show you." She looks over to me with wide eyes, as behind me, and door is torn apart by multiple Necromorphs, and they come charging.
I turn to them and pull out an assault rifle, and open fire upon them, I take only a few down, and they keep coming, relentless in they're frenzy.
I pull out a plasma blade and charge at them, and when I reach them, I lash out, cutting two down, then four, then ten, only to be stabbed in the chest by one, I tear it's arm off, and stab it with its own arm, and then proceed to cut it down. After about a few more seconds of this, I'm eventually overwhelmed and stabbed multiple times until being torn apart.
Her eyes are so wide they may just roll out of her head, she just watched a warrior who could take on armies, be taken down by a horde of Necromorphs, and they then turn they're attention to her, and come charging, she steps back before firing a spell off that only stuns one before it charges again.
That's when I end the scenario and we're both in another metal corridor, she looks at me, and I at her, and she watches as the metal floor under me is torn apart, I look down before whipping out my magnum and opening fire at a Genestealer that grabbed me from underneath, the bullets deflect harmlessly off its carapace, and it drags me down, I fire the entire time, trying to kill it, but to no avail as it then puts a clawed hand on my helmet, and promptly tears off my head with a flick of its wrist, and it drags me the rest of the way down the hole before we both disappear.
She just stares in horror, and looks up and sees a Deathwing Terminator looking at her, he lifts his stormbolter, only to have a Genestealer get onto his back, and start tearing at his armor, he slams it into a wall, killing it, before turning around and being clawed across his helmeted face by another Genestealer, he falls back, dead.
And the Genestealer looks up at Luna, and starts to crawl on the wall to her, and I end the scenario there, and we're now standing in front of a horde of flood, she stares in horror again, and I look to her.
"This Luna... Is what I'm trying to prevent... What my kind was trying to prevent... Until your sister killed them all."
In the midst of the flood, pony looking flood stand around the human, elite, brute, grunt, jackal and all other kinds of flood, there's even a foal who is now one of them.
"This... Is not even the worse... As I said..." The flood charge, and I pull out a SAW and start to mow them down with ease, they keep coming, but keep being cut down before even getting close.
"Luna! I can fight these things with ease! So don't worry! I can handle them!" I yell over the constant fire of my gun, and the howls of rage from the enraged flood.
She only stares in horrified fascination at the abominations, as they're cut down again, and again by my hail of bullets.
"This! This is only the beginning!" I yell to her as I finish off the last of them, and turn to her, and she can only stare off into the distance.
Oh, this is gonna be a great dream!
After waking up, I stretched my arms, and quickly left Eclipses home before she got up, I needed to check up on Serenity, and when I finally made it back to base, she greets me with a simple "Hello" I tell her about what happened with Luna, and she was silent as I went to another terminal and start to type on it.
'Dad?'
'Yes Acid?'
'Why did you do that to Luna?'
'Hey! It's her fault for coming into my head, I just showed her a good time!'
'But... That wasn't very nice!'
I stop typing and just stare at the screen.
'Acid... You have to do mean things to others when they deserve it... She may not have, but she came to my dream and started yelling... I don't take too kindly to that.'
I resume typing, and that's when a file comes up, and Serenity knew I wouldn't be able to understand Forunner so she translated it to human for me, and it says something about another facility... Underneath Canterlot... Fuck...
So, after I find where I'm going next, I gear up and head for the exit when Serenity gives me some great news!
"This facility has a Vehicle bay..."
At her words... I jumped with joy! And I race to it... Guess what I found... A single Warthog, and a mongoose... Eh, can't really complain too much... I GOT ME A HOG NOW! And Serenity even said she can make more vehicles later on! So... I'm just gonna be patient... But for now... Time for a drive!
-Hours later at the base of Canterlots mountain-
After a looooong ass drive to canterlot, I stop at the base of the mountain it sits upon. I hop out of my new warthog and pat its side, before looking around.
"Serenity, where the hell is this entrance you told me about?"
"It should be nearby, it may be cloaked, so I'll turn in a frequency to reveal it."
There's a bit of a buzzing sound and I start to walk by the mountain. After a few seconds, I see a small part of the mountain ripple and disappear, and I walk to it and find a door.
"Well. Found it." I go up to it and it opens up, no locks it would seem... Interesting, anyways, I walk in and enter a hallway, I see another door at the far end, and I start walking towards it.
It opens just like the other one, no locks, suspicious... I walk through it and enter a large room and look around. I see a pair of spartan armor on the ground and I walk over to it and kick its helmet, it rolls away.
"Empty... Weird..." I just shake my head before walking away to another door. It opens, and I'm about to walk through when a gun fires off and my shields flare, I run past the door and hit my back against the wall next to the door before I pull out my magnum.
I peek around the door to see the armor is now up with out its helmet, and a magnum in its hands... Now that's fucked up. It fires again, and I duck behind cover before pulling out a grenade and pulling the pin and throwing it in, It tings and and After a second, it blows and I wait, before moving back into the room. The armor is scattered about, and I go up to an arm piece and pick it up.
"What the hell? Enchanted maybe?" I put the arm piece down and look around, that is, until I look at another piece of armor and see something In its grip.
I look at the two little devices in the other arm pieces hand, it looked to be holding them quite tightly. They look like something from a game I never got to playing... I forget the name.
I walk over to them, and as I get closer, I see them have little lights flicker before they both fly up and hover in the air, I back up a bit from them, ones black, the other white, and they both get a distance away from each other before they shoot some type of holographic looking beam, and two people are formed from them.
The little machines then stop and hover there, as the two people stand at they're full height, and I look at them with my magnum raised.
"Now just who the fuck are you two?!" I yell at them as I aim at one of they're head
"Whoa pal, friendly!" the female clad in heavy armor with her helmet scanning it surroundings with faint blue dots expanding constantly outwards from the center of her visor.
"Where the hell are we Emily," the one on my right, a cloaked figure, asked as the white star shaped robot floated around his head, "and why is there a ghost flying about my head?
"Good questions Dave."
"You two have ten FUCKING seconds to tell me who the fuck! You are before I open fire!"
I look at the white 'Ghost' and grab out my DMR and point it at it.
"Fucking little piece of shit! Bringing others here without consent!"
"Whoa hold on, don't shoot the ghostie!" the female screamed as she forcefully disarmed me with a swift movement.
"Last I checked we were buying a couple of ghosts from a guy at the con, mate, then we were here." the cloaked man with glowing yellow eyes on his helmet answered me as he looked around.
"Speaking of here, where are we?" the girl asked as she examined my DMR.
I growl as she holds my guns, "We are in a forunner facility, one I was wishing to find what it has inside until I was attacked by that piece of shit right there." I point at the remains of the spartan armor.
"And you say you were at con? And you bought stuff from a merchant?"
"Yeah dude, he had interesting shit." the guy said as he pulled a long silver and red rifle off his back, "Damn, I built my Ice Breaker out of cardboard, why is it so heavy now?"
"Huh?" the girl replied, pulling her bloodied rifle with its sinister looking bayonet of her own back, "Our props do seem to be a bit more, real?"
The black ghost then decided to fly up to her, "Waypoint is set, first directive is to map out the current area." it said in a low masculine tone, its voice slightly buzzing.
"Oi! Little fucker! This place is not gonna be mapped out!"
"And why not?"
"Cause Serenity! That ruins the fun!"
"Where is the fun of not knowing where your going?!"
"It's like Dark Souls, and your a new player, it's fun to find new places... Only to get the shit beat out of you by everything... That kinda ruins it..." I look at the two new people standing in front of me, "What?! Why are you looking at me like that?!"
"I hated that game, could never get passed Undead Burg." the girl said, before looking up at the black ghost.
"Did you say Forrunner facility?" the guy asked as he pulled out a wicked looking curved knife.
"Yeah, I did, also." I look at the girl, "I got past that part... Now I have to kill the big wolf."
"Wolf?" she asked.
"Unknown terminology, do you perhaps mean the Fallen House of Wolves Spartan?" the black ghost inquired as it flouted to me, its star points shifting and turning as its single blue eye darted about me with a curious gaze.
"No, and how do you know what I am?" I reply
"A simple scan indicated all I need to know." the ghost said before turning to the girl and flashing blue as it flew into her and vanished, the white one doing the same to the man to my left.
"That was unexpected." she said as she then jumped when her friend fired his sniper rifle with a ear piercing pew and a small detonation down the hall.
"Sorry, but... damn." he started laughing uncontrollably.
Suits of Spartan armor come down the hall and I growl, great job up you idiot!" I take my DMR from the girl and open fire at the suits as the two new people open fire with they're guns before I turn to the door I had been trying to go through, "RUN!"
"I hear you on that!" the girl yells as she tosses a stick that shoots lightning across the way and takes off after me, her friend following right behind us.
"Serenity! Lock the door! NOW!" The door behind us shuts and the lights become red as they lock, and the Spartan armor bash at the door but don't get through, and I sigh with relief.
"Fuck that was close..."
"Dave!" the girl shouts as she hits him on the head.
"Hey, I didn't realize that it would be a hair trigger Emily!" he retorts as he shy's away from her offending backhands.
I just shake my head "Alright, it would seem, we have a problem... Enchanted Spartan armor... Fuck me..." I lift my DMR and load it with another clip
"Hmm, should be no issue." Emily perks up as she tests her movement.
"Where are we going exactly, it appears that I am a blade dancer class hunter?" Dave asks as he becomes invisible.
"Hmm, I think I may be a striker titan." Emily taps her helmet's chin as she thinks aloud.
"Your both what?" I look between them " Well we were dressed as Guardians from the game Destiny, I guess we are now what we dressed as." Emily replied, punching her fists together with a small amount of blue energy billowing out.
They follow me without comment but keep their weapons out and ready.
"So... Where are we exactly?" The girl asks me
"Your in Equestria, you know, the place full of colorful pastel horses?"
"Great, colorful horses." Dave said nonchalantly from a dark corner, the only part of him visible were his two glowing yellow eyes
"Funny, but this world sucks, I'm currently on the top wanted list for the princesses, and, I only have two months to live before I die by reasons from a certain A.I."
"Does that mean I get to turn them to dust?" Dave inquired looking to me.
BRRT, BRRT, BRRT.
"No one asked for your imput Dave!" Emily shouted as she lowered her rifle, "Two months?"
"Yes, two months to live is all I got... Sucks doesn't it."
"Doors open."
I look at the door as it turns green, and I walk through it as it opens
"Damn" Emily mutters, following the spartan with Dave following closely , "You got a name pal?"
"Names Kent, you?"
"Emily, and my pony hating friend is Dave." she said as their ghosts flashed into existence and shined light into the darkness past the door.
"Ah, I'd introduce you to Serenity, but she's a bit of a prick."
"Hey!"
I ignore Serenity, "Well... It would seem that since you came here as your costumes... You all are Displaced... Like me and supposedly many others."
"So long as I can keep Dave from killing anypony I'm happy." she shrugged and walked away towards where her ghost was going. A ghost chuckles as Emily just shakes her head.
"That's the problem here... They may attack you if they see you, the elements are against me... Also, pretty sure a Timelord is as well... All
because of some shit that was meaning to help them, yet they took it the wrong way."
"Up shit creek without a paddle, I've got a gun for that." Dave chuckled before falling on his face.
"Yeah, lets just hope you don't break your face first." Emily chided him as he stood back up.
"At least I don't fantasize about Princess Moon Butt in bed Emily!" he retorted.
"Hey hey hey! Calm the fuck down, both of you, by the God Emperor you all bicker too much."
'Dad?'
'Yes Acid?'
'Can I meet them?'
'Um... Hold on, I'll ask if they mind... Wait, do you have a form picked out?'
'Yes!'
'Alright, gimme a second.'
"Hey, would you two like to meet my... Ahem, Daughter?"
Dave stopped to give me a 'what the hell' look while Emily slapped me on the back, "I love kids, where is she?"
Well... See... The thing is... Look, remember when I said there are other displaced? Well... I met one, pretty nice guy, wish I could hang out with him, but he was busy, but he uh... Well... You know who Venom is right? Spider man Venom?"
"Yeah, which gen though?" Dave pipes up while Emily tilts her head.
"Not sure, I only knew he was Venom, Spider man form, so, his name was Lee, and helped me immensely with a little... Flood problem... But, he was a symbiote, and... Well... Gave me much own, and her name is Acid, she asked to meet the two of you since she hasn't spoken to anyone but me."
"I'm out!" Dave shouted, briskly walking away.
"Ooh, I wanna talk to her!" Emily Squeed.
I take off my helmet and look at her and grin, "Well, she's quite happy to talk to you." A black and blue blob comes off of my neck and slides down my leg before reforming into a small Filly with blue fur and a blonde mane and tail, but her eyes are completely white, and she looks up at Emily with a smile.
"Well aren't you a cutie dear!" Emily kneels down and smiles at her.
"Acid! It's nice to meet you!"
I smile down at Acid
"Names Emily, what do ya wanna talk about Acid?" she asks patting Acid's head.
Her ears fold back, "I don't know... I just want to talk!"
"Well, you two can talk as we walk, we still need to keep moving."
"Ok dad!"
"So walk and talk?" Emily inquired as she stood to move out behind Kent.
Acid nods as I keep walking
"What are you exactly? You look like my dad but... Different... I think... I haven't seen many others like him..."
"Well I am a human female, a girl like you I suppose, your dad is a male, or man."
"Oh... Ok! So... What about the other... Human?"
"Dave," chuckles, "He's a guy, a royal pain in the flank, but a male nonetheless."
"Oh..."
I walk up to a door and it opens and I peak inside to find a lab, and I shake my head and continue on
"Contacts ahead!" one of the ghost reports they both dowse their lights.
I put my helmet on, "Acid, stay with Emily." My helmets lights turn on and I move forward with my DMR raised.
"Hold up, I'll scout ahead!" Dave whispers as he turns invisible with his knife drawn.
"I'll keep an eye out for her Kent." Emily shoulders her rifle and leans up against a wall.
I stay back and move my gun around, watching for whatever's there
"We got eight four legged and very colorful horses ahead that seem scared outta their wits." Dave says as he becomes visible again.
"Why the hell are they here?!" I walk past Dave to the ponies with my magnum in one had, and my DMR in the other. Dave remains silent as he follows him in.
I look at the frightened ponies, and growl, "Why the hell are you all down here?! This place is full of dangers that could kill even the most trained of guards on this pathetic world... Well? Answer me?!"
"W-W-We were only trying to study this place! An-And-"
"I don't give a flying fuck if you were trying to study this place! This place is filled with Armor that I have to deal with, and now, the only exit known to me is blocked off... So now I have to deal with you asswipes until this is over... Fan fucking tastic!"
"Calm down mate, yeah they are colorful ponies, but hell you are going to scare the shit outta them more if you keep up with that attitude." Dave said before turning to the ponies, who shied away from him, "Don't worry so much 'bout him, I'll kill ya long 'for he does."
I pull Dave away and pin him to a wall with Emile's Knife out, "I scare them cause they need to understand this, and you saying you'll kill them will show the ass who runs this godforsaken kingdom that I can never be good, I'm seen as a god damn demon here, and I rather not have others make me more of one." I push him against the wall harder, "Do I make myself clear?"
Sheesh, ever heard of sarcasm mate?" Dave replies, not even struggling against me.
"He threatened them didn't he? If he did let me handle him." Emily says from behind me, Acid next to her but out of sight from the ponies.
I look at him, his helmet inches from mine, before I back off and I go over to Acid and pick her up, and she stares at me with wide eyes.
"Nice grip." Dave states as he drops to the ground, looking at Emily who merely shakes her head in disappointment
I growl before looking at the ponies, "Alright you all, we're gonna get you all the hell outta here, and you better stick with us! Understand?!" They all nod and I just shake my head and start walking again.
"Must you be so rough with them Spartan, they're scared outta their skin already?" Emily asked me.
"Why do you care so much, lease he doesn't wanna kill them li-" Dave started to say before he was punched with a literal energy wave coming off of him into a wall.
"Don't you dare threaten the ponies or so help me I will flatten you, don't forget, I am a titan, you are a hunter, I win in CQC!" Emily yelled as she stormed up to him and grabbed him by the neck.
"Okay." Dave gasped as she dropped him to the floor and walked away.
I just watch the whole thing and I look down at Acid, "Are you alright?"
She nods, "Can I go back to just..."
I interrupt her before she finishes, "Yes, you can reattach to me." I take off my helmet and she turns back into her blob form before slithering back onto my neck, and I feel my mind shift again as she settles.
I look at everyone, "Alright! Let's get a move on!" " Right." Emily replies instantly while Dave remains completely silent as he rubs his neck.
I put my helmet back on and start walking with Emily and Dave, and the ponies follow behind us. I look over at Emily, "So, what was your life like before this?"
"Well l, I work at Gamestop and Dave here is my girlfriend's little brother who decided he wanted to drag me over to check out the ghosts." she replied nonchalantly, "You?"
"Well... I was just some nerd who loved Halo and Warhammer 40k, and I was trying to finish high school when I went to a con and this happened... Sucks I can never see my family and friends again... Also, you date women?"
"Personally I play all sorts of games, Warhammer included, the Guardsmen to be precise. And what is wrong with dating gals?" Emily replied.
"Only the fact that you-" Dave started but stopped when his companion sent him a death glare from under her helmet.
"Nah nah, I got nothing against same sex relationships, just wondering is all, also, I played Dark Angels, gotta fight for Lion 'El Johnson."
"Oh, if we are talking Marines then I am rather partial to the Raven Guard, but I'll admit I like Dark Angels too." she replied.
"Ultra-" another death glare silenced Dave and even solicited a giggle from one of the ponies.
I look back at Dave, "If you say anything about those damn Ultra Smurfs, I will bitch slap you."
"Hey!!!" he shouted and received a punch to the face from a certain titan.
"Your Primarch is stupid, Corax is the best... No offence, Johnson is cool too." Emily spouted with a quick show of her hands to me.
I look at her before nodding, "I shall accept that you know who is a good Primarch... I don't know much on Corax, but I bet he must be very good as well." I look back at Dave, "And by what I remember, Ultra Marines barely helped during the Horus Heresy! So that's why they
outnumber other chapters! So The Ultra Smurfs Can fuck off."
I look forward again and keep walking
"Covus Corax survived the heresy, rebuilt his chapter, and then vanished alongside Dorr, according to lore he could very well still be out there someplace." Emily replied.
"Fine, then I shall praise the Chaos God Tzeench and his Thousand Sons, or perhaps Slanesh, I always did like the idea of his daemons!" Dave said as blink jumped away from Emily who had turned to hit him again.
"Oh, now your really begging me to hit you." I crack my knuckles and they pop loudly
"Your turn Kent." Emily said as she drew her Red Death and got ready for a fight, her ghost popping into existence to light the dark hallway that her black armor blended so well into.
"Oh snap!" Dave yelled as he blinked backwards to hide behind the ponies who were startled at how he just teleported behind them.
I run after him, my boots making loud bangs as I chase him, "C'mere sissy! My fist just wants to talk to you!"
"No way in fuckin' hell am I going anywhere near ya!" Dave screamed, sounding much like a young girl, before taking off with small blue wisps of wind trailing off behind him and his cape.
"Say hi to the crazy unkillable armor for me Dave!" Emily chided before returning her focus to the front just in time to take a MK-IV fist to the face and stumble back slightly.
I stop and turn back to Emily and start running back with my magnum out.
Emily screams a war cry before slamming the ground, thus sending a wave of energy roughly twenty feet in all directions before aiming her rifle and unloading as she steadily backed up, "We got contacts and the damned ghosts didn't even say a thing, what I would give for Cortana right now, or even just radar!"
I jump over her and land on one of the suits filling it with lead before picking it up and smashing its helmet, then tearing it in half before running to the next one.
"These fuckers don't stand a chance!"
"You said it!" a loud pew rang out and an entire suit flashed red and detonated as the hunter became visible, "What, never seen a bladedancer before?"
"No! I can say I have not!" I stick a grenade into a suit and kick it away as it detonates and blows up
"Well then, you may wish to move!" Dave yells as he jumps down and glows blue as lightning dances from his knife and he cuts down the offending Spartan armor suits.
"Showoff!" Emily shouts as she skewers a MK-V suit on her bayonet and blasts it apart with her deadly rifle, her shields never seeming to fail as she stands among her foes un-moving.
I continue to bash the suits apart until there's none left, no I look around, "Well... Seems these ones didn't have firearms with them." I look at the destroyed armor and just shake my head.
"What the hell... What's up with these... They shouldn't be doing this..."
"What being body-less killing machines?" Emily replies, slinging her rifle on her back and kneeling to comfort a mare.
"Yes... I don't know what's causing this..." I pick up a helmet and stare into its visor before putting it back down and looking around, "Something reeks of magic... And it needs to be purged..."
Emily's ghost then begins scanning one of the more intact suits of Spartan armors, "Arcane energy signatures present within the hostile units." it chimes.
"So in other words someone thought it'd be a good idea to enchant armor, I swear that there is a game that states otherwise..." Dave
comments from behind me, standing next to a tan unicorn.
I just sigh and look forward, this has to be solved so I can unlock this place and find out what's special about it... But what am I going to do? I sigh again and walk forward, putting my magnum away as I watch the darkness.
Emily and Dave following close behind the group of ponies, the latter Guardian with his strange sniper cannon of doom pointed from where we came from and their ghosts flying ahead of me.
I stop walking "This isn't going to get easier."
"Why?"
"Sentinels!"
I draw my DMR as multiple sentinels fly over us, ignoring us completely and going the opposite direction.
"Hey, maybe one of our ghosts can hack them!" Emily pondered aloud as she walked up to me, her rifle drawn.
"Rather not take the chance... These things are stronger then the game types... These ones can get ya when you don't stay in cover, and they can take out shields faster then you'd think, just let them pass."
"Switching to Defender class," Emily said as her ghost scanned her, "Now I can project a bubble shield like field that grants overshields as well."
"I'll swap to Golden Gun." Dave said as his ghost also scanned him.
"And I'll stick with being what I am." I continue to walk and I put away my DMR the two guardians following my lead.
"I'm gonna regret asking a smurf, but Dave, what was your life like before this?"
"Dude, I am a sixteen year old couch potato, nothing more." Dave replied before tripping on a slightly raised floor board and falling flat on his face, "Dammit."
I stop and look at the raised flooring, "Interesting..." I walk over to the raised metal and grab it, before prying it open with a large amount of force, as I pull it back, I look inside to see another spartan suit, and I go inside of the small hole and take off its helmet to show a skull.
"Well then." Emily said as the ponies all gasped.
I only shake my head before moving the skeleton away to show a pure black magnum, I pick it up and inspect it closely.
"Weird... Never seen one of these before..."
"Hmm, look it has Luna's cutiemark on it!" Emily proclaims as she walks over, her rifle hanging by her side.
I turn it over and look at it, "Strange..."
I continue to look at it before I get a sudden feeling... I don't know what... But it's like the feeling I got with Lee's totem... But there's no message...
"Contacts!" the ghosts shout in unison before fading away, leaving us in near darkness.
"Watch fire and take em' out!" Emily shouts as she opens fire, Dave doing the same as the suites advance.
I climb out of the small hole in the floor and reach for a grenade before realizing I only brought two, "Fuck!" I pull out my DMR and start to fire at the spartan armor
Dave pulls out a glowing golden pistol and blasts three rounds that vaporize the advancing armors and Emily throws up a blue shield over the ponies.
"It appears that the hostiles are receiving radio transmissions from further in the facility, waypoint has been added to your HUD guardian." the black ghost says as it returns to Emily from a downed suit of armor.
I walk forward with my DMR raised as I blow helmets off of the spartan suits, when they get close, I smash them into a wall, or knock them to the ground, and I destroy them before moving on.
"Let's get moving then, whatever is here doing this is going to get my boot up its ass when I get to it."
"Amen." Emily states as she begins to move forward, dropping her shield.
I continue to walk with a purpose when I come to a door a locked door.
"Serenity, open it up."
"Understood."
"Allow me to assist." the black ghost says as it begins to scan the door, "Should be open in a minute less actually."
"Hey! This is my job you pile of scrap!"
"Woah Serenity, calm down, he's only trying to help."
She huffs and I just sigh before giving a glare at the ghost
"Done, doors open." the ghost lets out a sigh, "your A.I. doesn't like me, and here I was hoping to get along with her."
"Wait, since when do ghosts fraternize with A.I.s?" Dave asked giving a glance to his white ghost as it hovered next to him.
"Not a clue, Serenity isn't one of the nice types... More snippy then anything."
I hear another huff from my A.I. As I walk through the door
The ghost just sighs and follows Emily in after you, "What do we got?" Emily asks as Dave remains outside of the room so the ponies have cover as they move in.
"Not sure... But there's a console right there." I point at a console with a few holographic lights coming from it, I walk to it and take Serenity's chip out of my helmet and place her into it, and her hologram self pops up.
"Well now, this is certainly interesting..."
"What? What is it?"
"Gimme a minute." I look around as she puts a hand to her head and closes her eyes, as if thinking.
"I found something of interest Guardian!" the black ghost reported as he began to scan a wall of hard drives.
"What the... It says... It says something's here... Something... Oh... Oh no... Kent, we have to blow this place up!"
"What? Why?!"
"Oh no... Who ever is in the control room is going to open a hatch... And you can guess what's inside!" "WHAT!?!?! Oh nononono! How?! He... He lied! He made me go on this... No... That MOTHERFUCKER!" I punch a wall, leaving a large fist size dent in it.
"Armory is on the third sub level, may I suggest getting the civilians out of here, that filly seems to be hyperventilating." the black ghost said as he returned to Emily and simply hovered in the air, "Blame me for downloading a full map and inventory of this UNSC bunker?"
"I volunteer to take the ponies out of here, Dave can go with you, he always wanted to play with explosives." Emily added.
"I like big booms and I cannot lie, your booms are so big that I-" Dave shut his mouth upon receiving a death glare.
"Why can't we just leave this place?" the white ghost questioned.
"If Serenity says something needs to be destroyed then it must be destroyed!" the black ghost replied with an almost offended tone.
"This is very bad! Get those ponies out of here! NOW!" Serenity practically yells as multiple holographic images float about her.
"Ok, this is very bad... He lied... He said only one lived... And he lied... I can't believe I fell for his tricks!"
"I'm going, EVERYPONY FOLLOW ME AND STICK CLOSE!" Dave shouted, his ghost scanning him into his Bladedancer setup before he charged out the door, the ponies right behind him.
"He knows the way out, right?" Emily asked.
"I forwarded intel to his ghost, lets just hope they don't get the ponies killed, that filly was a cutie." the black ghost said before scanning his guardian into her Striker class, "Extra offence will be helpful in this."
"Noted."
"This is very bad! Very very bad!"
"Serenity, how many are there?!"
"Too many... A thousand? Three thousand?! I don't know! They've been down under in a storage area in stasis!"
"Fuck... Oh fuck... We don't have much explosives... Do we?"
"No... Not even close..."
"Sub level three, we have a Havoc class warhead!" the ghost chirped. "Um, isn't that what chief used to, oh, I don't know, vape the Didact's ship?" Emily gaped.
"It would be effective, and this far underground should have a seventy five percent chance of reaching the surface."
"Fine... We arm that and..."
"It's covered by the flood."
"Fuck... Fine... We go down there... And fuck shit up, are it, and run... Sound good Emily?"
"I want to hit the armory, Red Death is a good weapon against normal enemies, but..." She began before looking down at her rifle.
"From what I pulled up on the drives they are impossibly hard to kill, may I suggest a Automatic, or a Shotgun?" the ghost added, "Also, sir, your DMR is out of ammo!"
"Take my Red Death, my ghost will give Serenity the program to convert any ammo into its type." Emily said holding out her bloody rifle.
I look at her gun, "You sure? It's your gun."
"Plenty of weapons in the armory, and Kent... I know how much you like killing flood with Shotguns."
"How?"
"Well... I did dissect your brain when I made you into... Well... You..."
I look at Serenity, "So... When you had me knocked out... You opened my head... And took my brain out... And messed with it?!"
"Hm... Yes... Yes I did... It was to help you thinking process."
I Facepalm the front of my helmet and groan
The ghost looked at her hologram and shakes a little, "And here I am with the ability to alter genetics with a mere scan."
"Take my gun, its spot accurate, and every kill you get will restore your health and shields." Emily said before looking at her ghost, "Could you take a look at his condition perhaps?"
"If that's alright with them then yes." he replied. I look at her Ghost before shrugging, "Probably gonna die from the flood in the next hour... So sure, why not." I take the gun and set it propped up by the console.
"Hey, I had to make do with what I could" Serenity grumbles.
The ghost begins scanning me, zooming from side to side rapidly, "Good news, the genetic damage is easily repairable, bad news..." it hovers in front of me, "This is gonna hurt like a flaming bitch." and he, without my consent, shoots me in the head with a powerful beam of blue light.
"Whoa!" Emily shouts.
"Also, seeing as though I am a ghost for a titan class guardian, you may notice something a tad different when you punch things... as they will tend to vaporize from your Storm Fist." it added as I got back up, feeling a mass amount of pain, but otherwise no different than before.
"Ugh... Storm Fist? The fuck?...still... Wasn't as bad as when I came here..."
"This." Emily said as her fist began to glow and send a shockwave when she punched the wall, which also indented a foot even though she had a small fist.
"Well... Guess that's good for a Huduken or something I guess... so... Ghost, you fixed me up... No more, I'm going to die in two months?"
"..." the ghost remained silent as it hovered, "No, now you will die in..." it said as it contemplated.
"Are you just saying that because I asked a very stupid question? Cause I ain't in the mood."
"Well, calculations have yet to complete and I just entered the thousands rage..." the ghost states, "I don't wish to incorrectly inform you."
"Wait, thousands range?! The hell do you mean by that?!"
"I infused you with a considerable amount of the Travelers light, you should live to be in the thousands range, rough estimate is at twelve, before aging out of existence. Truly it was a minor error of math on my part, other side effects are yet to be seen, but I assure you that they will be positive." the ghost chimed as he flew over to Serenity.
Serenity just stares at him with wide eyes and a bewildered look, "You gave him a life expectancy of about twelve thousand years old?!"
"Wait... Other side effects?!"
"You may develop special abilities such as blinking, or being able to glide through the air, I am unsure, though I imagine that they should coincide with Titan abilities as that is what my guardian is, nothing unexpected." the ghost says, thus ignoring the life time question.
"Ok... Never heard of those abilities, but I guess I'll learn how to use them when they happen..." I look at Serenity, "Alright, find us a way down there, then we'll move out."
She just stares at the ghost before shaking her head and looking at me, "Understood..."
"I have forwarded tutorials of all known Guardian abilities to Serenity should you need them." the ghost said as he turned. "Okay, that done, can we go deal with the Flood now?" Emily asked, punching her fists together with a spark of energy.
"There's an elevator down over there." She points to a door, "We go down there, we stop at the armory, we suit up, then you can move down to the last level and have some fun."
I nod before I pick up the rifle and attach it to my back and I grab Serenitys chip and pull her out before putting her back into my helmet.
"Lead the way Kent." Emily says as her ghost flies ahead of us.
I walk down the hall to the door with Emily, when we walk through it, we all walk through a small enclosed hallway until another door opens and we find the elevator. We step onto it, and a few holographic boards show up, and I put my hand to it and it bends down and we start to descend down.
"So plan is to shoot our way in, set the bomb, then shoot our way out?" she asks me.
"Eeyup... That's the plan... Short and sweet, and to the point."
"And we may die."
"That is a possibility."
"We won't die..." Emily said, looking to her ghost.
"Dave managed to set a waypoint for us up top, worse comes to worse I can try and transport both of you out." it replied.
"It's the flood... We will most likely die."
"I'm a Striker class Titan, I can handle it." Emily retorts as the elevator slows to a stop.
"Right, and I doubt you because I played Halo combat evolved and Halo 3 on a daily basis, and I played the flood missions more then anything else, and I did it on legendary for the challenge."
I walk out of the elevator as it stops and walk through the small hallway
"Ever heard of LASO? That was me the week those games came out." Emily replied.
after some walking, another door opens and I walk through it to an armory full of all sorts of weapons, and I look around.
"More weapons... Damn there's a lot."
"Okay, time to grab and go!" Emily gleefully says as she picks up a shotgun, a SAW, and a grenade launcher. "Hey, an energy sword, and ooh its red, mine too!" she says as she adds it to her collection.
"Wait... They have those? Then that would mean... They had to have had have fought Elites..."
I look over and I grab a shotgun that looks like the CE version, and I load it up before picking up as much ammo as I cloud grab, and I also grab a few DMR clips.
"Or, judging by the way this sword has been modified, they killed the Elites and used their tech." Emily states as she sets the shotgun down and tosses you her ammo, "if I recall correctly then the sword is just as effective."
"Remote detonators located!" her ghost chimes, "I have loaded up extra supplies as well, call out if you need anything short of a tank."
"There's only one facility with vehicles, and that's back where we live now."
"Yeah, but thanks for the telling us you got stuff, but we better move, and detonators? What's the fun in that? It's better to time it."
Serenity huffs, "He's insane..."
"I agree actually, but there were no timers so unless you got an egg timer." the ghost chimed as he sped out the door.
"I'll time it, don't worry."
I finish loading the shotgun, and I grab out the rifle and load it up as well, "We better move then."
Emily nods and follows me out as we continue down into the lower levels.
As the elevator descends again, I look over at Emily, "You ready for this?"
presses a button a music plays, "I was born ready!"

I just look at her before turning the speakers for my helmet on, and increasing the volume, "Here's a better song."

As the elevator stops and the door opens, I stop.
"Something big is at the end of the hall... Something big... And it ain't a suit..."
Emily draws her Assault Rifle and takes aim, "Get ready!"
I pull out my shotgun and walk through the hall, I look at a locked door and hear some type of... Groaning. I turn and whisper to Emily, "We got contact, and it ain't sounding good."
She pops out her sword as she places the rifle on her back, "kick down the door, I'll follow your lead!" she whispers back with a tone of urgency.
"It's impossible to break down!" It turns green from Serenity and it opens, and a Flood Tank has its back to us, I crouch and slowly creep forward
Emily remains completely silent as she backs up, ripping her AR off her back in her left hand, but keeping her sword out nonetheless.
until I'm right behind it, I look through its wire like back before grabbing out a grenade.
"Time to die bitch!" I punch my hand through its back and it groans. I stick the grenade right into its face before pulling my hand and backing up.
It turns to look at us before its upper half is blown to pieces.
"Nice, just like what Chief did in Forward Unto Dawn to the hunter!" Emily remarks as she stows her AR.
"Eh, I did it to something worse then a Hunter." I load gurgling screech comes from further away, "Well... I think I just alerted the horde..."
Emily puts her sword over her mark, "then allow me to introduce myself!" she gleefully states as she strides forward with her fists together.
The hoard charges out of the far door as Emily takes off sprinting before jumping into the air glowing blue and hitting the ground with such a force that everything in the room is torn apart at a molecular level. She then draws her sword and while doing a pirouette slices a tank form clean in half.
"You can join in at anytime!" she yells as more come into the hallway to meet her charging blade.
I run foreword, firing off rounds into any flood I see, blowing nice big holes in them, and making a few lose quite a good amount of body parts.
"Isn't this too easy?" she asks as she grabs an infection form in mid air and crushes it with a single hand before ramming her sword into a combat form.
Another screech interrupts my response, and a large worm like flood spawn comes forth and screeches.
"Does that answer your question?!" I yell before opening fire at it with my shotgun
"Noted, oh hey, EAT LIGHTNING YOU UNDEAD SON OF A BITCH!" she yells as a small stick flies into the worms mouth and it explodes as electricity discharges.
It screeches and a large tentacle smacks Emily and sends her flying into a wall, and I look over at her before fire at the abomination again, dodging its attacks.
"No pain, no gain." she grunts as she gets up again and begins to unload her AR.
I continue to fire before stopping to reload, the abomination takes the chance to grab me and then throw me against a wall, hard, and I fall to the ground with a metal thud.
"Fuck... That hurts... A lot..."
Emily then slams it into ground, turning it into a pulpy corpse, "Need a hand?"
I get up and wheeze, "Nah... I'm... I'm good... I just need to catch my breath... Got it knocked out of me..."
"Okay, ghost, search for more hostiles." she replies, standing with her weapons at the ready.
There's another screech and more flood combat forms spew forth from the hallways all around us.
"Does THAT! Answer your question?!" I load my shotgun up and start to blow any that get near me to pieces.
Emily's AR shouts its retort as she begins to back up, "Ideas?"
"I got nothing!" I continue to blow flood combat forms into pieces.
"Well then, that's comforting." she replies as she drops her empty AR and procures her grenade launcher.
I load my shotgun one more time and continue to fire at the onslaught of flood, "Damn things need to die already!"
"Agreed!" the launcher shoots but instead of bouncing like it does in Halo Reach, it turns out to be a sticky grenade launcher, "Oh hey!"
I look at it, "Shit... They tested on a lot of stuff..."
"But all goes boom!" she yells as four more sticky rounds go down the hall and detonate in a spray of gore.
I watch as less flood combat forms take the field, and more flood tanks come forth. "Fuck! Watch out! We got tanks incoming!" I yell as I pump more lead into flood
"Oh for the love of, I'll show you a tank!" Emily shouts as she drops her unloaded grenade launcher and runs forward with nothing but her fists before smacking the ground in the middle of her foes, vaporizing them all.
My mouth hangs open under my helmet, "Damn..."
"Seems the Guardian has an admirer."
"Shut the fuck up Serenity..."
"Hey, I don't think my GF would mind a Spartan in bed with us." Emily replied, brushing off a bit of rubble on her shoulder.
I blush under my helmet and Serenity breaks in laughter
"Oh if you could see his face! He's as red as a tomato!"
"S-Shut up Serenity!"
Emily laughs, "Get up here, we have a nuke to set off."
"Um... Y-Yeah." I run to catch up with Emily
After I catch up to her, I look at all of the dead flood, "More will be coming, we have to do this fast." I throw my empty shotgun to the side and pull out my DMR.
"Semi Auto won't be too effective, you should try out the Red Death!" she states as she draws her energy sword, "According to my ghost, this has unlimited ammo."
"Semi Auto is actually quite effective... Just aim at the infection form inside of the combat form, they always need to be sticking out, aim for it, and boom, it's dead after a few shots." I reply
"Eh, but Red Death regenerates your health after each kill you make." she retorts as she briskly walks down the hall, the sword down to her side but washing out surroundings in red light.
"This isn't like the game, this is real, and I need to put these things down, I don't need health."
"Well, think of it as shields, it will restore your shields with each kill, sorry not health, though it may heal injuries, could always find out." she replies, as she stops at the next door, "Ghost get the door."
"On it" he replies
I get down on one knee and hold my rifle up as I watch for any flood
"The door is open, and oh, incoming transmission, I'll patch you in Kent!" it says as the door slides open to reveal a pristine hall.
I get up and walk into the hall, "Transmission? From who?"
"Unknown, should be coming onto your comms now!" he replied taken slightly aback, "Though it is coming from deeper in the
I nod and turn off my helmets speakers so Emily and her Ghost don't hear the conversation, "Alright, who the hell is this? And where are you so I can shove my boot up your ass!"
"Hello?" a mares voice came over the radio, "I, I managed to get into the lower levels, dammit." she paused and gave a sigh, "I've managed to seal most of the creatures off, I can see you from the cameras, thank you for saving those civies, they were why we came here, but now I am the last one left." a loud wail was heard as was the pumping of a shotgun, "My name is Lieutenant Vapor Trail, I am one of the Royal Guard, my squad was infected by these beasts that the localized A.I. in here refers to as the Flood, I don't care what Celestia says, if your here to kill those monsters then you'll have my support... The A.I. is sending you a map of safe passage through the facility... They found me, I am one level down if you can spare the time, I found a shotgun, I'll try to hold out but... if I die, tell, tell my little colt Contrail that mommy is sorry for leaving for work on his birthday... Dammit!" a shot rings out with the dying screech of a tank form, "I'm retreating further into security, I will contact you as soon as I can safely do so!"
As the comms go dead, I turn my speakers back on, "Search and rescue, we have to hurry, they don't have much time!" I start running down the pristine hallway
"Right!" Emily bolts after me, and surprisingly is able to keep up with ease. "Elevator shaft on the right, goes down one level, Serenity can you open it?" the ghost chimes as it speeds down the hall before us.
"Done" the elevator door opens and I run into it
Emily jumps down after me into the shaft and we both land atop the elevator itself, "It should be just through here, I am ninety percent certain!" her ghost yells as it yanks open the top hatch of the elevator.
"Ninety?! That's not very comforting!" I yell back before jumping into the elevator
"Give me a break, I don't usually translate crap!" the ghost shouts back as Emily drops in next to me and punches the elevator door clean off.
"Damn women, claderial damage much?!" Serenity just sighs, "Why am I even around you three?"
"I'm not that bad am I?" the ghost replies flying out in a burst of speed, Emily right behind him as a shotgun is heard nearby.
"Ninety percent?! You forgot so much to add to the variables, it was a straight hundred percent! Not a ninety!" I run to the sounds of the shotgun, my DMR prepped and ready
"I'm sorry I only translated half of the Forrunner text before deciding the probable path!" her ghost replied as it phased into a door and said door slid open as the ghost exited out the other side, "Though here, we'll meet the pony on the other side!"
I race through the door to the other side with the pony.
Vapor Trail opened the door and flew through it, a dozen or so Flood going for her tail.
I step past her and punch a hole straight through one of the flood, before putting my DMR to another one, and killing it with one shot, I then pull my fist free and grab out a magnum and mow the rest down with precise shots to the infection forms.
All the while Vapor collapses while Emily tends to her, "She's clean!"
I look back at them, covered in gore from the flood, "Well... That's good I suppose..."
"What happened to the others LT?" Emily asks her as she widens her eyes when a Flood latches onto her face due to Emily having to wrestle a tank form off of her.
"Arg, get it Ahhhhh!" she yells as she rips it off along with her left eye.
I grab it from her hoof and crush it in my fist before looking at her, my voice laced with concern "Are you alright?!"
"Just a flesh wound, damn, I don't want to die down here." she replies quietly while Emily kills the Tank she was fighting with nothing but her hands.
"We'll get you out, I promise." my guardian friend states as she lays eyes on the door we needed.
"Damnit..." I grab out a canister and put it to her eye, "Hold still, I only got one of these, I didn't think I'd need it, but it was in the armory." I press a button, and bio foam Fills her eye socket.
"Th.. thanks." she says as she gets up and reloads her shotgun, "You know, you humans make nice weapons, this thing is better than my sword any day."she states motioning to the sword strapped to her right side above her wing.
I just shrug, "If Celestia wasn't such a piece of shit bitch, then maybe I'd let you all use 'em, but that's not the case as of currently."
"Heh, after this I am resigning, you need help, cause I am more than happy to stick with someone who actually gives a damn about me." she snaps, hugging her shotty up to her chest as Emily checks the far door.
"Nuke is in the next room. Ghost, where should we set it up?" she asks.
"No need to move it, that is the room that it needs to be in." it replies
"All we need to do is set it up and boom, there goes this hellhole."
"Yeah, let's get this done, and yes, you can stick with me, I don't mind someone else who knows how to use a gun."
"Thanks, now its time to avenge my husband!" Vapor yells as she pumps the shotgun and aims it with her right eye.
"I'm going to follow your lead, my ghost can set up the bomb!" Emily shouts from the door.
I nod at Emily before going for the next rooms door, my DMR raised.
Emily nods, "On three, One!"
"Two!" Vapor counts off.
"Three!" The door opens and I run in with my Finger on my DMR's trigger.
"Its empty?" Emily states as she walks forward a little, "I've got nothing on my scanners, nothing at all."
I keep my DMR up, "I don't like this... My motion sensors aren't picking up anything but us... Where's all the flood?"
"Don't know, lets just find that bomb." Emily whispers as Vapor Trail slowly moves ahead.
"Anyone got pain killers, my head hurts something fierce, though I guess that's what happens when you lose an eye?" she asks as she stumbles lightly.
I go over and pick her up and place her around my shoulders like a scarf, "There, keep me covered with the shotgun, this helps you cause now you can't stumble or be left behind if we need to run."
"Found it, there's a console, activate it and it can arm this 'bomb' "
"On it!" the ghost chirps as he scans the console and it comes to life.
"Now, do please be careful, any wrong information and this could go bad very fast."
"How long should I set the timer, or do we want to be smart about this and connect it to the detonator... Oh, it was already armed... that isn't good news..." the ghost stopped moving entirely, "Its damaged, remote detonation is out of the question, timers is shot to hell, and to top that all off the only reason we aren't irradiated is because the next room over has radiation shielding." it stopped scanning and flew over to me, "However, I am carrying enough scavenged supplies to arm an IED using the nuke as the explosive."
"Is that the bad news?" Emily asked.
"No, that was the good news, bad news is that I don't have an egg timer." he replied
I look at the console and walk over before a holographic board comes up, I move things around, "Could someone detonate it here?"
"Didn't I just say that remote detonation is impossible?" the ghost actually sighs, "This is why I need an egg timer on me at all times..."
"An, oh, I have one in my saddlebag." Vapor coughs as she draws it out with her wing.
"If I had a mouth I'd kiss you miss Trail." the ghost replies.
"Okay, but what about hooking it all up?" Emily asks.
"I meant I detonate it while you all get out of here... As in, this room with me in it, blows up... Kinda like Sargent Forge did it, I detonate it manually."
"I am sorry, I did not put almost all of my collected light into you to repair the damage you lovely A.I. did to you for you to 'blow up' sir." the ghost replies, "Instead I volunteer to remain behind."
"Um, I didn't think you could survive without me nearby?" Emily asks.
"No, but I can long enough to end this threat, for the Traveler." he replies
"Or I could lock my armor and see what happens."
"You are insane..."
"Indeed I am!"
The ghost flies up to me, "Emily has not stated this, but she has a rather nasty wound through her abdomen, the pony is just barely able to stay awake, and you are the only one with sufficient knowledge and firepower to get them out of here." he says in a hushed tone while Emily leans up against a wall, "I can do this, its easy."
"Fine"
"Or, or... I could leave a small copy of myself to do it you idiots." Serenity states.
"Oh... I forgot she could do that..."
"Hmm, I'll go set it up and rout the timer, but it still makes sense to start the countdown once we are in the upper levels." he replied as he dashed into nothingness in a flash of blue light.
I look over at Emily, "Are you doing alright?"
"I'll be fine." she replies as she makes for the exit
I grab her shoulder, "Emily, are you sure your alright?"
"I'm not infected, and I'm coping, we need to get moving." she replies.
"I know we do, but if your not fit, you need to hang back while I take the blunt of things."
"Fine, if they get close I will wail on em, but you can take those at range!" she grunts in reply.
"I don't care, you hang back, and I'll take on anything big." I pass her my DMR, "Aim for weak spots."
She coughs, "Got it."
I nod before going back over to the console and start to move more holographic boards around.
"Okay, I set it up, timer is up for five minuets, just activate it once we get clear!" the ghost says as it comes back into the room.
"Alright" I look at Vapor and Emily, "You two ready?"
Vapor nods, then grabs her head in pain, Emily just shrugs her shoulder as her ghost flies out the door.
"Fuck... This will not end well... Emily, could you keep Vaper covered? Rather the flood not get her." I grab out my magnum and the strange black magnum and duel wield them.
"Hand her over Kent, I'll carry her." she replies as she limps over.
I pass Vapor to Emily before looking back at the door, "We got contacts.... A shit ton..."
"Victorium en mortus!" Emily states as she takes aim with the DMR.
I look at Emily before shouting, "Axios!" and opening the door and see a horde of flood that turn to me before I open fire on them, and start to tear them apart, they try to run up, but I easily pound them with bullets from the magnums.
Her DMR rings out its our retort as we push forward, the Flood caving against our push.
We continue the onslaught and finally make it to another elevator door, I open it and push Emily and Vapor in before dropping a frag grenade behind us and pressing the holographic button for us to start going up.
"Ghost, turn the timer on, NOW!
"But we haven't made it to a safe distance... never mind." he replies as he shifts closer to Emily, "Done, we have five minuets to get out of here."
"Alright, I got a hog topside, we get up there, hop in, we can get back to my base and take a fucking break and get some damn medical attention."
"Sounds good to me!" Emily states as the elevator stops and the doors open into an empty hallway.
"Four minutes till detonation, we should probably skidadal!" the ghost shouts as we run out toward the exit.
I look at Vapor and Emily "Well, we better double time it!" I start to run forward, faster
They follow me, Emily with Vapor over her left shoulder, and my DMR in her right hand. Her ghost trailing ahead slightly to signal if there were hostiles, though we met none.
"One minute, oh, and I see daylight! And a large unicorn with wings..." he shouts as he flies out of the doorway to the bunker.
I start to run faster, my stomping boots making dents in the floor, "Is she white with a flowing mane and tail?!"
"Negative, also thirty seconds, oh and she appears to be worried, but not angry!" he chimes as we round the final corner.
"Cutting it a bit close, aren't we?" Emily pants as she passes me in a burst of speed.
I look at Emily until my armors boosters boost me past her and I start running faster, and then I see Luna, "Run bitch! This place is gonna blow!"
Her eyes go wide as she teleports us to her and throws up a shield, "We must speak to thee, also your fellow human has taken your ride and my frightened little ponies to a safe distance after explaining what was going on, even if he was vulgar."
"Sorry about my would be brother in law." Emily coughs as she drops to the ground and the facility detonates.
"We made it..." Vapor Trail gasps as she lays down next to Emily and begins focusing on her breathing.
"How bout we get moving, then we can talk, cause right now, rather get moving."
"Moving would be wise, though we are unsure as to where to move to..." Luna replied, "Though we are absolutely positive that we should avoid our sister."
"Yes... Cause I'm sure I'd probably start to beat the shit out of her, best place to move though... Hm... Ah! How bout that castle in the Everfree forest? Just teleport us there and then we can talk.
"Very well, though I would prefer if you didn't beat our sister senseless even if we currently wish the same..." Luna replies as her horn glows and the scene shifts to the old castle.
"Oi, I can do whatever the hell I want, I know this ain't America, but I still have my freedom, and have the ability to make choices that may or may not be bad... So, yes, if I see her, I will beat her up." I say as I look around the old castle.
"Kent, I thought that the Princesses were angry at you?" Emily asks as her wound glows in a soft blue and closes, "Um... Thanks Princess..."
"Please call me Luna." she replies as she picks up a dusty old book in the library, "Forgive my intrusion into your mind Kent, I was, curious...
"Yeah, next time, try not to be, curiosity killed the cat, now, what the hell do you want to talk about?
"Aiding you in stopping the Flood." she replies as she heals Vapor's wounds.
"Ah, So you decided to help the demon?"
"You are unlike the others, the ones before, we wish to help you stop the Flood, perhaps convince sister that you are honorable." she replies as Emily checks on Vapors eye.
"I am not like the others because I'm not them, and you all killed them because of the Flood, and the thing is, I'll always be a demon... For that's what Spartans are, Demons... War is Hell, and I'm the devil Luna... And I will fight these things until the end, and thing is... You can't really do much to help me... Your guards are pathetic, and have not been in a war for over thousands of years, so they'd die before they even could move forward."
"You seem to be unaware that I was imprisoned for one thousand years, I have not forgotten how to fight, and neither has my Lunar Guard, the Bat Ponies!" she exclaims as she glows lightly and heavy armor encompasses her body with a mighty great sword upon her back.
"Pffff hahahaha!!!" I start shaking with laughter. "Oh, Oh my god! You think close quarters in that armor is smart?! Hahaha! Oh, oh, oh, that's too funny, too funny!" I stop shaking and compose myself after a few seconds as she looks at me annoyed, "Look, I already know about Nightmare Moon, and I know you think you're ready but." I make a fist and hit my chest with it, "You need power armor Moon butt, and what you have, ain't even close, so please, leave the flood to me."
"If you wish, though you do seem to underestimate me." Luna gives a small confident smile prior to walking over to a shelf and pulling on a book with her magic, "Until then help yourself to these." a door opens.
I look at her before going to the door and walking into the room, and finding armor and weapons, albeit, less then what I've seen.
"What the fuck?! Who made these?!"
"Your kind of course, though I had always pondered why, though now I assume I know." she replies, picking up a pair of Covenant Plasma Rifles, "Though these seem out of place."
I take one from her, "Fucking great... We have Covenant to worry about as well... Fuuuuck!"
"Pardon us, but what, or rather who, are Covenant?" Luna asks as I inspect the red plasma rifles that oddly enough have human markings on them.
"Alien race... Or, race's, they fought with humanity for years, trying to kill humanity off for some great journey that was also a religion of theirs, humanity beat them back after many many casualties... And Spartans are one of the reasons they fought them back... Or, to be precise, one Spartan did."
"Interesting, may we know thy name, or does thy wish to be anonymous? If so we shall call ye Guardian of Equus." Luna says as she studies other pieces of equipment, including a double barreled Grizzly painted in woodland camouflage.
"Just call me the Demon, it's to show others to fear, and respect me, Also, that tanks only a hologram." As I say that, the Grizzly fizzes out from a projector, and I walk back to Emily, "You alright?"
"I'm good, Luna knows her magic, but uh, how do I go back to Earth?" she asks as she stroke the sleeping form of Vapor Trail's mane.
I take a deep breath, "From what I know... There is no way back, Displaced go to a world of Equestria of they're own, and do what they wish with it... That's what was on the phone Lee gave me."
"Well then, we need to find Dave before he goes and does something we are going to regret later, you know he hates ponies." Emily laughs.
"Why have holo-" Luna begins to speak but the tanks hologram flickers into a three dimensional walk through diagram, "That actually makes sense, you people are wise. Though we do not wish to call thee Demon, it is not who you are."
I look back at Luna "Luna, that's what the Covenant called Spartans, and I'm a Spartan, also, yes, we are wise, but that's only part of the time."
I look back at Emily, "Yeah... I still need to bitch slap him for being a Ultra Smurf."
"Heh..." she giggles before passing out and snuggling up with the rather fluffy pegasus.
I smile under my helmet before turning to Luna, "So... Is that all you wanted to talk about Moon butt?"
"Our sister is furious with us, but we wish to aid you, do you have a name soldier?" she asks again.
"And As I said, I will not give you one until you can gain my trust, for now, it's either Spartan, or Demon."
"Very well, Spartan it is." Luna begins looking around, "Take what you wish from this place, I shall find reading material, I wish to know more about our foe."
"There's obviously nothing on it in here. This is just a small base for holding supplies, the place with info is the place were I reside." I look around at the gear.
"What is this?" Luna inquires holding up a AI chip.
"That's an A.I. Chip... Empty..." I reply
"Interesting, and what of these?" she floats out two SMG's that are silenced.
"Silenced SMG's, preferred weapons for ODST's, or, Helljumpers... Spartans will use them on occasion."
"You said that close quarter weapons shall have no effect on the Flood, would thee teach us how to use these, they seem appropriate?" she asks as she float out bits and pieces of armor that are solid black and pony shaped.
"Now hold on, I never said close quarters was bad, I mean, me and my friend punched a lot of Flood with our bare fists, it's just your armor wouldn't protect you, but maybe I will teach you... Maybe..."
"If we are to aid thee in combat against this foe, we must be able to fight them." she says as she smiles down on Vapor Trail, "Do you suppose there is anything here to give her sight back, perhaps an artificial eye?"
"No, I got nothing, nor does Serenity."
"Hmm," she looks around, "Nothing here that could help then?"
"No, I could get her to my base and have her healed, unless you heal her, other then that, I really have nothing to help her."
"Her eye is gone completely, even in all our might we are unable to restore missing body parts." Luna replies with a sad look upon her face.
"It's the Flood, it will do so much worse if we don't stop the it."
"All the more reason to destroy them without mercy." Luna replies, a tear rolling down her face before she turns and begins stripping her old armor off.
I look away and look back Emily and Vapor. "Is there any beds in this place?"
"We do not know, we only accidentally entered this room once before, but Celestia forced us to leave it and never speak of it again." she replies as she slips into armor resembling that of a S-IV though with a distinct dark blue color scheme of Mk IV armor, "Will this suffice?"
I look at her and shrug, "I guess, and I mean a bed like somewhere nearby, not in this room, this is a castle after all."
"Oh, how silly of us, er, me, how long have I been speaking in plurals?" she asks as she levitates our two cuddling companions.
"Most of the conversation." I reply to her.
"Er, sorry, I am still unused to the concept of speaking without the traditional voice..." she says as she leads us back into the library and the secret armory closes.
"It's fine, don't worry."
"This way to the bedding chambers Spartan." she replies as she trots into the halls.
I follow her, looking at the hallways we walk down, and I look at all of the destroyed walls and trash the litters the ground.
"Pardon the dust, it was not one of, er, my better moments."
"I can see that... Nice place though..."
"Not really..." she replies as I find myself before a large oak door, "Make yourself at home, Celestia never visits."
"Alright" I open the door and walk into the room and sigh.
"I shall bed these two in their own room, as for myself, I have duties to attend to, the moon calls." She starts to leave the room.
"Alright, have fun I guess." I walk over and sit down on a random chair, only for it to creak and break under me, and I land on my ass.
"Fuck..."
I get up as she leaves, and I walk over and find a better chair and I sit down, before I look at my hands and turn them to look at them, "So... I have the same powers as Emily now? I wonder how I use them..."
"Since I really rather not help, your on your own."
"You're a fucking prick you know that?" I reply before sighing and leaning back in the chair, "Fuck it... I'm just gonna sleep..."
"Yes, please sleep so I don't need to hear you speak anymore."
"Fucking prick..." after that, I shut my eyes and quickly fall asleep.
I slept soundly... Which is both weird, and nice, until I open my eyes to see a bat clinging to my visor, it's face against it.
"HOLY FUCK!" My chair tips as I jolt and I fall back, flailing my arms, and I land flat on my back, and the bat flies away.
"Piece of shit bat..."
"Oh, good morning." Vapor cheerfully states as she walks by my door, uncaring about my outburst.
"Oi! You're not gonna help a downed Spartan?!" I slowly get up and crack my back "Right now I am more focused on figuring out my new perception of life, I can't risk flying if I can't judge distance." she frowns as she gives her wings a couple of flaps.
"Hm... I wish I could help but... I have nothing that can."
She Comes over and tries to pat on my the shoulder but misses by a few feet before she starts growling and stomping her hooves, "I'll never get this right!" she yells as she sits down hard and bows her head in defeat.
I kneel down and put a hand on her shoulder. "You'll get the hang of it, don't worry."
"Your right, I just, I hope my sis is taking good care of my colt." she replies, sighing in defeat as she flops her tail back and forth like a dog.
"Hey, I'll get you back to him, don't worry." I put my hand behind her ear and scratch it.
As I do so her ears fold back and her jaw goes slack, her left hind leg begins tapping the ground as her tail goes primal.
I smile under my helmet, "You enjoying this?"
"Hehe, yes..." she stutters as her face turns crimson under her deep blue fur.
I just chuckle before stopping. "Feel better now?"
"A bit, but, um, lets not talk about the, um, scratchy ear again... Okay?" she replies, giving a confident smile before turning to find Luna wearing absolutely nothing of her normal royal adornments.
"Good morning Spartan, Miss Trail. Emily is down in the castles' kitchen cooking up something called bacon alongside pancakes which I believe have blueberries in them." she says with a soft smile.
"Bacon? The hell did she get the meat for that?"
"She apparently went out and killed a wild boar... It is our understanding that humans are omnivorous and require a high amount of protein from meat to maintain their strength, so we told her where to find it." Luna replies, though for the first time I noticed that her mane is light blue and droopy.
"Um... Alright, and are you feeling ok? Your mane is... Well... Not, well, wavy, like usual."
"Hmm, we suppose that we should tell you now." Luna looks away, a frown upon her face, "We are no longer a ruler of Equestria due to our aiding of you Spartan, though thou should know that you have been in the right from the start as we knew not of this parasite that threatened us so, even if our sister believes it a myth."
I look at her, before shrugging, "You win some you lose some... It's like a game of chess, we are all pawns, for the universe, it moves us like the way it wants, and it may favor some more then others, that's just life." I turn and start to where I think the kitchen is before stopping, "Also, your sister is a bitch."
"On that we can now agree with thee, for she is most definitely playing that of the fool." Luna replies as she begins following me, Vapor right next to her, "Also, if you have the time, perhaps we should play a game of chess Spartan."
"Okay, so what is this thing called bacon?" Vapor pipes up.
"Alright, Luna, your on, and next time, we can play DnD or Warhammer... Albeit, I'll need to find a way to get the figures, and Vapor, it's fried meat strips."
"Hmm, perhaps we could craft them, though you'll have to explain them to us." Luna began to smile as the scent of bacon filled the air.
"Ew, meat, you mean you eat meat?!" Vapor began wrinkling her nose all the while attempting to not walk down the stairs without falling.
"Nah... I'll find a way... And yes Vapor, we eat meat, and it's delicious too."
Luna nods as we come to the bottom of the stairs.
"Ahhhhh!" Vapor screams before Luna catches her in her magic.
"Perhaps we should aid thee in thou movements when stairs are involved." she says, considering that Vapor nearly had a fatal fall.
"That may be for the best..." After watching Luna help Vapor, I get an idea, a great idea!
"Hey Luna... Celestia still has that... Mirror still... Correct?" I ask, hoping beyond hope she does.
"Um, we believe so... Why?" she replies with a raise of her brow.
"Well... I got plans for it, and we'll leave it at that..." I say as I rub my hands together evilly.
"We can understand." Luna replies as she sets Vapor down.
"Ah, alright... Well, time for breakfast!" I run over to the kitchen to see Emily still cooking.
"Morning Emily."
"Morning Kent, help yourself to the bacon!" she replies cheerfully.
"You seem to be in a good mood... Considering you just lost your old life... And the ones you loved." I find a chair and make sure it's sturdy before sitting down.
"Didn't have anyone anyways." she replies, "Oh, and now that we're out of the immanent danger of the Flood, may I have my rifle back?"
I take it off of my back and lay it on the table, "There you go, I got enough weapons as it is, having a new one is great, but I literally have a base full of them."
I take off my helmet and grab a plate of bacon that's on the table and start eating.
She grabs it and slings it on her back before popping a slice of bacon into her mouth, "Warthog is so much better than pig."
I nod my head in agreement and swallow a piece, "Never really had Warthog bacon, it's pretty good."
"I still say ew, but these blue berry pancakes are great!" Vapor laughs as Luna looks over to her with a shaking head.
I just shake my head, until I look over to my helmet to see some blinking inside of it, I pick it up and put it on for Serenity to start talking.
"Motion sensors say we have contacts coming into the castle, seven of them, taking it slow by they're movement."
"Fuck!"
I look at Emily, "We've got seven contacts! Moving in, taking it slow, they must be investigating this place!"
She silently stands and motions for Luna to stay with Vapor before grabbing her Red Death pulse rifle, "Good to go."
I grab my magnum and nod before turning invisible and running to the entrance.
I get to the entrance and hide behind a pillar, and hear something that just makes me want to facepalm.
"Twilight, are you sure Celestia said Luna was here?"
I hear Rainbow Dashes question and I just sigh.
"Yes Rainbow, she said she was here, and she wanted us to talk to her."
Oh, they won't find her, I know that for sure.
"Plan?" Emily asks in a hushed tone as she holsters her rifle.
"Hm... I think I know a way to mess with them." I whisper back
"Why not get Luna and sort it out?" she replies.
"Where's the fun in that?" I ask as I put my magnum away.
"It's called making a good impression Kent... Just a question, how old are you?" she replies as she leans against a nearby wall and out of sight from the ponies.
"I'm sixteen... why?"
"Ever had a job?" she asks.
"Yes, I did for a time."
"You remember your interview then?"
"Well... It was more of, my dad took me to his work and made me work for a week outside doing anything the manger of his work thought needed done, and they liked me for my help and no complaints... And that's about it."
"Here is a hint, it's all about the first impressions. If they see you as sneaky, they will believe Celestia, but if you introduce yourself politely then you should stand a better chance of making them your friends."
"Or, or, I could pop up in front of them, and say, Hey Kids! Do you want to see a dead body?!"
She face palms, "I'm tempted to punch you for that..."
"What? They attacked me! Well, Twilight did if memory serves me right... I deserve payback!"
"Get payback later, for now we need friends."
"Fine" I cross my arms.
"Then how do you propose we do this?"
"Simple. we tell the truth, and when they don't listen we tie em up and take them to Luna." she says as her ghost changes her to a defender class.
"If they refuse... Can I scare them into submission?"
"Eh, sure." she replies as her ghost floats up to me, "Thank you for listening, you made me lose the bet!"
I only shrug, "Sorry mate, but I'm gonna have to say that her plan may be better then mine... For now." As I say that, I realize that the talking from the Elements stopped.
"Oh... That doesn't sound good... How good is a ponies hearing?"
"No idea..." she replies as the ghost checks the ponies.
"They have notated our location, but I do not believe that they know what we were speaking of... Shall I create a hologram of a pony and speak to them?" it replies.
"What the hay is that thing floating there?" I hear the damn Daredevil ask.
"I don't know Rainbow..." I hear Twilights response
"Maybe it knows something about that Vermont that's been running amuck?" I hear Applejack ask, and I sigh.
This is gonna be a long ass day... I can just tell...
"Greetings, there is no need for alarm." the ghost states as it flies up to the six equines.
"Who... And what, are you?" I hear Twilight ask, and I look at Emily and point at her, then me, then point out to the Elements, and hold up two fingers.
"I am a Ghost, an embodiment of the Travelers Light, and aid to its Guardians." he replies as he flies around the group.
"What?" she whispers back to me with a tilt of her head.
The elements look confused and Twilight asks, "Guardians?"
I smack my helmets visor and whisper, "We will both, move in while invisible, in two minutes."
"Good time to tell you I can't cloak?" she replies.
"Individuals charged with defending all life from the forces of darkness by using the Travelers Light in which is infused to them as a weapon." he replies nonchalantly.
I just sigh, "Better just walk out with my hands up now..."
They all look at him with confused looks, "Um... What?" Asks Rainbow
"A Guardian is a chosen individual to use the Traveler's power in the protection of their species upon the threat of attack from the forces of Darkness..." the Ghost tries to explain again, somewhat deflating when his first explanation shot over their heads.
"Wouldn't hurt to say hello, I mean, they haven't attacked my Ghost yet..." Emily comments to my side.
They all have blank looks before it dawns upon Twilight, "So, you help these Guardians protect another species?" She asks
"That's because they don't know what he really is, he could explain it, but they'd never fully understand, and they now think of him as nice, while they think they know me, but they don't."
"Well, technically I assist the Guardians in fighting the forces of Darkness not just for their different species, Human, Awoken, and Exo, but all others who are in danger from the Darkness." he replies.
"Perhaps he could explain it, or would you rather run and get Luna, or maybe we could step out and see how it goes? Worst comes to worst I set up my shield and one of us makes a break for Luna."
They look at the Ghost, and understanding dawns on they're faces.
I look at her, "Fuck it, time to Leeroy Jenkins this shit." I pull out my knife and slowly put it out to see the reflection of the Ghost and the elements, and I pull it back with a sigh, "I'm gonna regret this."
I turn invisible, and step out, before going over and standing by the Ghost, while still invisible, and I look up at him, to see if he knows I'm there.
It bobs slightly away from me to silently acknowledge my presence, "Other inquiries?"
I turn back to Emily to see her standing ready to rush in, but just out of sight of the ponies before looking back.
"Do you know of an armored bipedal creature? He has tricked are co ruler into helping him in some deeds to possibly destroy Equestria." Twilight asks and states, and the other five nod while I just shake my head and wait for the Ghosts response.
"You are mistaken, he has already saved your planet twice over." the Ghost replies as a hologram of me fighting the flood while Emily gives cover to Vapor Trail, though the hologram is life sized and scares the ponies, causing Fluttershy to bump into me. "Apologies if that frightened you, I am not used to working with beings that have weak stomachs."
She stops, and looks up, and I let my invisibility cloak turn off, and she immediately backs off more and bumps into Twilight, and she looks back and looks up at me with wide eyes.
And I only cross my arms, and look at the Ghost, "Better they see what we're facing now." I look back at them, and they're all staring at me now.
"W... What were those things?" Asks Twilight and I only shake my head
"Those things, are possibly as old as time itself, those things are a parasite upon the universe, they feed on any organic life forms, and do it, not caring what it is..." I walk up to the Ghost and look back at them.
"Your military is severely unprepared to fight those things, hell, most races are severely unprepared, your lucky I'm here to sort this mess out."
"Hey! We can take care of ourselves!" States Dash, and I only look at her.
"Sure... You can fight it... But you'll only die." Fluttershy tries her best to shrink and Applejack speaks next.
"So... Ya'll is saying... Is that, those critters are tough to beat?" And From that sentence, I start laughing.
"Beat!? Hell, those things are hard to kill!" Some of them get shocked looks, and Pinkies mane deflates.
"Can't we be friends with them?" Asks the Pink mare, and I only look at her
"No... You cannot be friends with them... They will kill you without hesitation... I know how to kill them easily and efficiently, so stay out of the way."
"But, we might be able to help!" I glare at Twilight and she backs up a bit
"No... You wouldn't... You'd be slaughtered in a minute..." I state, I then look back.
"You can come out Emily."
She comes out shaking her head, "Well that went well, now perhaps we should invite them in?" she asks before leaning in and whispering to me, "When they see what happened to Vapor Trail when fighting those things then maybe they'll listen to you and let ya deal with it your way."
"While friendship is universal between most species we can all accept that this isn't one such species, they almost make Reapers look tame... Almost." the ghost chimes.
"Since when did you learn about Mass Effect?" Emily asks.
"Since I don't sleep and your tablet was available and had a connection to the internet, though that is rather mysterious in itself..." he replies, though Emily immediatly pulls the black device out and looks at it.
"Damn, it does..."
"Pfff, you haven't seen Gravemind yet, now he, is quite terrifying, nearly pissed myself when I met him."
I look at the group of ponies, "Well, you came to see Luna, and if you still do, then follow me you fucking twats!" I then start walking, and Emily and the Ghost follow next to me, and after a few seconds, I hear the ponies follow.
"So" I look back at them, "Celestia sent you to hunt her sister down?"
Twilight only glares at me, "We came to talk to her, that's all."
"Pretty sure she's lying, and my bullshit meter agrees." and with what Serenity says, I start laughing.
"That Serenity, is a funny reference."
We continue our walk and then we end up back into the kitchen, and I see Vapor and Luna talking and they look at us as we all enter.
"We hath returned!"
"Hey... um what are they here for?" Vapor asks as she shies away into a dark corner to hide he eye patched face.
"So has our sister sent her student and her friends to stand in her place, truly?"
"Yes, she did, and Vapor, they're here for Luna, not you."
I go over and crouch next to her, "also, here's the thing, who cares about your scar, it shows you've been through battle, and survived with something to remind you that you are a warrior that stood with another who would not mind with you fighting next to them again... You fought and survived... That says more then some that fought while prepared."
"Th... Thanks." she replies as she comes into the light a little.
"What hast thou to say to thee Twilight Sparkle?" Luna inquires as she looks over the lavender pony.
Twilight clears her throat, "Well, Celestia wishes to know the real reason as to way you have joined the creatures side."
"You can call me Spartan you fucking prick." I respond to Twilight.
I get up to stand next to Luna, and Rainbow looks at Vapor, "What happened to your eye?" She asks, and Rarity looks at her as well.
"Yes Darling, what happened to your eye?"
"Well, it unfortunately got eaten... As I would have been completely if it had not been for the Spartan in which Princess Celestia seems to... um... Hate? Yes hate." Vapor replies.
"Tis simple young Princess, we wish to aid him in protecting our little ponies from these Flood creatures that are threatening our world." she replies as she looks over to me with determined eyes.
Rainbow and Rarity get looks of shock and Twilight looks at Luna
"And your sure this is not all but a lie? They could have easily have made that all up." Twilight says, to which I just sigh and shake my head.
"Tis true Twilight Sparkle, we were there when they came running out of the bunker carrying the wounded Vapor Trail, and they have been nothing but amiably kind to her." she replies giving the lavender alicorn a glare that would make Batman proud.
She backs up, but shakes her head, "And you have physical proof of what they were supposedly were fighting?"
"Twilight, have you looked at Mrs, Trail? She is wounded, not just physically, but mentally... She was there prior to them, her squad is dead, she survived because of them." Luna pauses for a moment to walk up to the other alicorn before looking down upon her, "You do not trust MY judgment?"
She looks up at Luna, "You are helping a creature that has hurt many others."
"Oh for fucks sake! I didn't do that! Those things were done by the other god damn Spartans!"
"Tell me Twilight Sparkle." Emily says from the back of the room, "Just because one dragon razed a town and killed everyone in it, does that mean that all dragons are bad?" Vapor Trail just nods from where she is standing, in support of Emily.
"I... Well... No, but you still have no real proof of what they were fighting."
I sigh before Serenity pipes up, "Contact, on the roof, it's looking down at us."
I look up and smile before looking at Twilight, "I got proof alright, and it's watching us now."
She gets a confused look, before looking up, and her eyes go wide as she sees a Flood tank through a crack, bash through the ceiling and drop down in front of us, and it raises its head, and looks at us, before looking at me.
"You are smarter then I previously thought... Which infuriates me." it speaks with a deep echoing voice, that of the Gravemind, and I just shake my head.
"I hadn't known what was there until thanks to my A.I. So you should thank her."
Serenity's hologram appears in front of me and she bows and looks up.
"You maybe old... But it's quite simple to get a scan of the entire facility once your put into it." she says, to which Gravemind growls.
Emily draws her rifle as Vapor rips her shotgun off her back, "Okay, little competition, who can kill the baddie the fastest?"
"Your on Emily!" Vapor replies, using her wings to prop herself up so she can pump her shotgun with her hooves.
I hold up my hand, "Ladies, let the time old beast talk."
"I have nothing left to talk to you about."
I look at it, "Oh, well then." I step forward and throw a punch right were the infection form is located, the tank groans as I grab the anything I can, and tear it out, pulling out a large chunk of its insides, and it to stumble back and fall onto its back.
"Well thou both have just lost thine bet to the Spartan." Luna chuckles before turning grim once again.
I look at the gunk from the tank form in my hand, and look at the ponies horrified looks, "You know, the flood have a beauty of they're own... It's not pretty, but it is a form of beauty."
I drop the tanks insides on the ground, and find a old rag and start to wipe my hand clean.
"Yeah, only you Kent, could call those things beautiful." Emily states as she crosses her arms.
"Oi! The Doctor says possibly the most ugliest of things are beautiful, also, I said they have a sort of beauty that many don't see... I can see it, but no one ever cares." I finish cleaning my hand and throw the rag to the side before looking at the ponies.
"Now, is that enough proof for you?" I ask, and they all nod.
"Good, now that we're all on the same page... Who would like to see a much nicer facility not full of flood or any other type of baddies, and just guns and cool shit? Any takers?"
"I'm down with that, though someone should go find Dave, lest he got there already..." Emily replies, as Luna and Vapor both nod, the latter putting her shotty away.
"Not a clue were he is, but we can track the hog." I look at the ponies.
"You all are allowed to come, but if you so much as try to do something stupid, you ass is fresh mown grass, got it?" They nod and I sigh.
"Serenity, where was the last known location of the hog?"
"About a hundred or so Clicks from here..." I sigh again.
"Hurray, we get to walk... Fantastic."
"Walk... Ghost do I have access to a sparrow?" Emily asks as she crosses her arms and looks at her ghost.
"We are not currently connected to the transit grid, so no..." he replies and Emily begins to sulk.
"Walking it is..."
"Fuuuuck!" I just start walking for the entrance
"If your coming, then follow!"
The ponies look at me, then follow me
After about... What, hours of walking, we finally see my hog, and I sigh.
"There it is... Beautiful sight to see..."
"But where is Dave?" the ghost asks.
"You know, I've been getting bad vibes from him since we got here... Equestria I mean." Emily says to no one and nopony in particular.
"Like what noble guardian?" Luna inquires.
"I can't place it." she responds.
"Well, with Gravemind breathing down our necks, I always feel like something bad will happen." I walk up to the Hog and peer into the drivers seat.
"Find anything?" Emily asks as she draws her Red Death.
"No... its got no signs of anything... its just empty."
"That's not like Dave." she replies as she kicks the dirt, "Where the Hell is he?"
"I don't know... Look around for any indication of where they went."
"Sir!" Vapor yells as she shakily walks back to the group, "I found bodies."
"What?!" Emily screams as she drops her rifle and rushes over.
I run after her, and we make it to the corpses of the ponies, which they all have bullet and knife wounds, and I shake my head as the elements get shocked looks.
"He really has no patience... Does he?" I ask Emily
"I'm going to kill him." she growls, punching her fists together allowing blue energy to crackle around them.
"You think your friend really did this?" Vapor asks.
"He is a Hunter class 'Guardian' and this is what they do best." she replies as she leans down and closes the eyes of one of the ponies as she utters a prayer, "I will kill him."
"Let me get into beating his ass, he deserves it." I pull out my magnum and cock it.
I look around, "See anything that could tell us where he went?"
"Vapor, remain here with the six, Luna you're welcome to come if you wish but I'd rather you not." Emily states as she leans down and inspects a few broken bushes and disturbed, "This way Kent."
I nod, and the Elements stay near the hog, and I look at its turret, and get a grin.
"Hold on, I need a better weapon."
I hop onto the hogs gunner seat, and grab the turret, and tear it off with ease and jump down with it in my hands.
"Now, I'm ready." I start walking through the broken bushes
"Remember, he is a Hunter, ability to cloak, bad ass sniper rifle that makes things explode, an electric knife, and the ability to teleport short distances." Emily states as she picks up her rifle and follows me, Luna following behind us with a glare at the dead bodies.
"You two may take your turn after I have mine." she states, her eyes aglow.
"Pfff, he may have big guns." I heft up my new gun.
"But I got a big scary gun that goes, Ratatatatatatat... Which it's still not enough DAKKA, but it's a small amount, that could do damage."

The tree next to my head explodes and Luna projects a shield just in time to catch a round before it could shatter Emily's helmet, "As I said, big gun."
"Serenity, overshields" as I say that, my armor has golden sparks come from it, then wash over me like waves, and I come out of Luna's shield, and start firing in the direction of the rifle shots
"DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA!!!" I yell as I continue pouring lead where the shots came from, and anywhere near it.
I see Emily from the corner of my vision jump into the air and engage her jump pack allowing her to move around his flank while Luna flies up into the sky and massive amounts of arcane energies.
I continue my relentless fore until after a minute, I stop and look around, "Did I hit that git with enuff dakka?!"
The retort of a burst rifle mixed with the crackling of electricity signal that I did not, but before I can re-engage a bright flash of light engulfs the two and they vanish, leaving only smoke and Dog Tag that read 'Emily Warrington' behind.
"What just occurred Spartan?" Luna asks as she lands next to me.
"I'm... Not entirely sure..." I walk over and pick up the dog tags, and look up.
"But I think we won't be seeing them for sometime."
"Personally we hope that Emily continues her assault upon the other human... We have come to like her, and you, but we cannot turn away from such an atrocity. Still we shall aid you Spartan. Though we know thy name, we wish for ye to give it to us prior to us using it." She replies as she calms herself and her eyes return to their normal teal.
"Mm... Nah, not just yet... Maybe I'll tell you my name when we get back to my base... Then I may tell you."
She bows her head in respect as we walk back to the others.
After I put Emily's dog tag away, I walk after Luna, still carrying my hogs turret.
I can't believe I allow a displaced into my world yet again and find that one was pretty cool, and the other was a dick... Dammit, new shit to add to the ever growing shit list...
Luna makes it to the hog with me not far behind, and I place the turret on the back and the mane six with Vapor look at me.
"Did you... Find him?" With Twilights question, I shake my head.
"We did... But I didn't get to shoot him enough... Kinda sad now..." She frowns at my response
"We heard that small battle from all the way over here." I turn and look at her as she says that, and I grin under my helmet.
"Did you like the gun show?" I ask
She gets a scowl and I laugh, "Look, whatever you all think, I ain't a bad guy, some people can piss me off, but never fully make me kill them... Except that one guy... Poor dude... Broke his nose and a few ribs." I turn and hop into the drivers seat and look at them, "Well, you can hop in, or go back to town, cause I ain't waiting."
Luna hops into the passengers seat, and Vapor hops onto the back and grabs those handles and looks at me, "Can we just get going? I want to see your base!"
"We will we will, calm down." I look at the mane six again, "You gonna hop on?"
"There's not much room for us." Replies the Rainbow skittle and I look over at her.
"Course there is, you can fly, Twilight can fly, and so can Flutters over there, the rest can hop on next to Vapor and such."
"Hardly! And it looks so... Dirty! Do you have anything else you could drive?" The marshmallow asks, and I just turn and look at her, and she shrinks away a bit.
"No, this is my hog... My only drivable vehicle right now, it's Hop in, or be left behind... Pick your poison." I reply, and her mouth hangs open.
I look at Applejack, "You gonna hop in?"
"Course ah am! Why wouldn't ah? Ah ain't afraid of some dirt and grime!" She hops in next to vapor and Now I see Pinke randomly next to her... She teleported I just know it, but then I look at the Marshmallow.
"Well?" She looks at it before climbing onto the back with the rest.
I then nod and look at the others who can fly, "FOLLOW THE HOG IF YOU CAN!!" I yell and punch my foot on the pedal and speed off.
I look at all of the passengers to see them all holding on for dear life, and I laugh like an insane man and continue my driving.
-Thirty minutes later-
After an awesome drive and freaking all of the ponies out, I stop with a skid on the dirt and stop next to my bases hatch, and I see a very irritated looking Eclipse standing a bit away, the foals, yes, foals, she brought them, all of the foals staring at me and everyone else with wide eyes, except Eclipse and that little... Other pony under her forelegs, that looks at me with a smile, and I hop out and walk over.
"Hey Eclipse, what's up?"
She takes in a deep breath and sighs, "You left without saying anything."
"Well I had things that needed to be done and a base to blow up... And I kinda had civilians to save."
She looks over at the hog with the Princess, Vapor, and the Mane six then looks at me, "I don't see any civilians... Only the Princess of Night, that one pony, and the Elements."
I rub the back of my neck, feeling Acid there, slightly bigger now but I brush that thought off, "Well... They were taken out of the facility with another Displaced and... Well... He... He killed them..."
She stares at me before she glares at me, "You let other ponies... DIE!?!"
I back up a step but keep myself straight, "I had thought he would have taken them to my hog and then held that position... I was mistaken." I reply coolly.
She growls, "Do ponies lives mean anything to you?!"
I put a hand to my chin, "Well... Yes... All lives mean something to me and I rather protect them... But it was a mistake I should have thought might have happened."
She sighs, "I just can't believe you let that happen... You of all... Well... Whatever you are."
"If I remember I'm human... I think... Maybe... Fifty fifty."
She looks at me with an unamused expression.
"What? I'm serious... Fifty percent of me is human, Ten percent is a fan of daft punk, another ten percent is a huge fan of Warhammer 40k, twenty percent is spartan and the last ten is a mix of stuff that you wouldn't understand..."
She looks at me before sighing and shakes her head, "Fine... Whatever any of those things are... It's not why I came to talk to you."
"Oh, well, when I get the time, I'll let you see and hear some of the stuff I'm talking about, now, what is it you need to talk about?"
She looks down and scrapes the ground with a hoof and looks up at me with her eyes without moving her head, "Well... I need a bigger place for these foals and... Well... You seem to have a lot of room in your... Base, so I was wondering if we could... Move into it?"
I put my hand to my chin again before shrugging, "Sure, why the hell not... I see no harm to it... Except the place will have to be foal proofed, and that's quite easy."
"I recommend against her living with us."
"Shut the fuck up Serenity."
I get a sigh from the annoying A.I. And I nod before I head to the hatch and as it opens I beckon for everyone to come along.
All of the ponies and the princess hop out of the hog and look down at the hatch with tentative looks and I just roll my eyes and sigh.
"Alright, look, its not a trap, its just a damn hatch that goes into a heavily guarded underground facility." It doesn't seem to help them but Luna looks at me before nodding and walking down into it, and eventually, all of the ponies follow and I head down with them, but I stop and grab out some keys, and press a button and the hog honks and I nod and shut the hatch and head down into the depths.
Hm… New info on ponies makes me kinda wish I never got into the show... Showing these fucking idiots around a high tech facility seemed like a good idea... Lesson learned, with the damn purple horned chicken, twas not a smart idea on my part.
She practically fainted at the sight of such things, it wouldn't have been that bad... If it weren't for the constant stream of questions! I mean, does it look like I know how the damn sentinels works?! Hell no! I just know they can fly, shoot lasers, and they also have shields which we all know are fucking pains to take down properly.
Then Miss fucking rainbow before the pot of gold decides to touch everything! Don't touch the buttons, don't touch the holo screens, don't touch all the advanced alien technology! You could blow up the whole facility! I don't know what any of this shit does yet!
Then the cloud with purple hair just comments on and on about dust, webs, and the color! Fuck. You! It's my base! Not yours! Piss off! I like grey! Well… Actually, I like dark blue, it's a nice color, and black, black goes with everything, like, shit, how does it do it? No one knows, it's like… Awesome, I also like Green, greens cool, dark green, light green, but I digress.
Then the farmer asks what kinds of plants does my world have, plants? Well, we have tons of them… I know only the basics, Trees, bushes, flowers, that kind of stuff. Have any of you actually seen a banana trees seed? I have, huge and weirdly shaped… Also, there's a plant that tricks insects into landing on it, then make them slide into it, then it digests them, that shits weird.
The shy guy, oops, sorry, the… Flutters? I really can't say anything mean about her, but she's only been silent… No surprise there, but if she saw how much I actually like animals, I think we would get along, raise your hand if you like leopard geckos! Cause I love them! So cute and so curious… Awww… I want a leopard gecko… Damnit.
The cunt with the fucking sugar high just bounces everywhere, like, I told her to not touch a thing… She came out of a locked door, dragging a suit of Spartan armor behind her, it looks like Jorge's from Reach… Bitch, the fuck you doing with that? That shit ain't yours! After yelling at her, she drops it and falls back into line, but, like, seriously man, stop touching shit… Well, she did unlock a door Serenity couldn't open so… That's a plus I suppose.
Luna is only silent, just like Flutters, just asking a question here or there, and Vapor just gets hopeful when Luna asked about eyes and making them, I think I told her we can't make any… Maybe I should be nicer… Nah… Well, maybe, fuck, maybe Luna and Serenity can make one for her… Yeah, that'll be good, also, need to go get Vapors kid, she asked and I need to do that.
So after an hour of walking around and me answering things here and there, we finally stop in the armory, where they're looking at all of the guns and shit, yes, these blocks of metal are better than any of your weapons, deal with it you prissy magic relying horses.
But Serenity, who had been a bit silent, speaks up.
“We have company outside” she says
“Excuse me? Who?” I ask this with a curious hint to my voice.
“Lion birds with a dragon” she states flatly
Well shit… A dragon? Fuck man, I can't fight a dragon… Unless I have a big ass weapon….
I look over at the rack of weapons, seeing a Spartan laser, and nodding to myself, yes, I do indeed have a big laser.
I walk over and take it off of the wall, getting it attached to my back and grabbing dual SMGs.
Luna looks at me as I do this, cocking her head.
“Where are you going?”
“We got company, and they brought the big guns, I'm bringing bigger guns.” I reply, getting a little smile as I say that, God, I'm loving this too much.
“And you plan to fight alone?” She says with a little skepticism.
“Pardon, are you the one with an entire army of laser shooting and force field shielded robots? And have the ability to pick up nearly any weapon and wield it like You were born to wield it?” I ask.
She only stares at me with some weird look as I shrug, bunch of queers.
“Hey! We can help!” Says miss gnome throw up, sorry, Dash
“And guess what? Your help is not required.”
“But-”
“No! Butts are for sitting on! Shush your face hole!” She gets a confused look as the Pink one starts to snicker, yes, yes I am very funny.
“Now, stay here, all of you, don't touch anything or you will regret it.”

The purple pretty princess turns and looks at me now after looking closely at an assault rifle.
“We are the elements of harmony, we can help you, maybe this doesn't need to end in violence.” She says this with what sounds like… She's sure it won't end out badly? They brought a dragon! They obviously mean business, the bloody kind.
I turn my head to look at her, “Rainbows don't kill.”
She gets a confused look as I turn and start walking out of the armory, and I set the SMGs on my thighs, and hold out my arm, fist clenched and my arm facing upwards, a crook in it as I bend it slightly.
Man, gotta love the badass shit Dark Souls has in it.
And after that, I head topside.
-On the Surface-
The dragon tosses the strange metal carriage into the air, slamming it does with a hand that shakes the ground as the Griffins watch silently, another Griffin working on the hatch, the Griffin working on the hatch sits back with a huff, she shakes her head before she tries once more with the large sledgehammer, hitting the hatch again before pulling the sledge hammer away again to stare at it, seeing not even a scratch, she huffs once more and looks up at the sky as she thinks to herself, that is, until the hatch opens with a hiss, and she looks back at it to see a gloved hand reach out and grab her face, she barely gets a sound out as she's yanked through the hatch and into the depths.
The other Griffins turn to see a large figure clad in metal armor with a large box shaped thing on his back, it stands up straight as it looks around, scanning the area, the Griffins pull out crossbows and a few draw out swords as it gazes at them, the dragon still keeping its attention on the carriage, before it finally looks up and at the figure.
The figure in question, pulls the large thing on its back off, holding it on its shoulder as it aims it at the dragon, the Griffins gaining grins as the dragon cocks its head, but they're smiles disappear when they see it glowing red, and beeping, they look at each other as the dragon rolls its eyes at it.
The dragon is quite large, being a purple scaled and yellow bellied one with large wings and Ruby red eyes and large curved horns, it opens its mouth to spew forth fire, thinking this as too easy for its needing to be hired, that is, until a beam for bright red streaks from the box and hits the dragon across the side of its face.
It roars in pain as it puts a clawed hand on where it was hit, holding it in pain as the Griffins gain surprised looks, looking at the figure as it puts the box back onto its back, and pulling off two small black devices off of its thighs, and it aims them at the Griffins, and a voice comes from it.
“Mother fucking cunts on my lawn?! Looks like it's time to mow ‘em down!”
The hail of death from the figure then starts.
-Back to me-
I swear, whoever is banging on the hatch is about to have a bad time.
Like, that's annoying as fuck, are they trying to fucking break it with a hammer or some shit? The fuck man, stop doing that shit.
I open the hatch to see a Griffin looking up at the sky, they quickly look at me after the hiss from the hatch, and I reach out and grab their face, they widen their eyes as I yank them into the depths behind the hatch, and I pull them to where a few sentinels hold stationary, and I toss the Griffin at them, they're small arms coming out as they grab the Griffin, who doesn't even get a scream out as they drag them back into the base, shaking my head, I climb out and onto land once more.
First thing I see? A dragon fucking up my Puma… You fucking piece of shit! That's my Jeep!
I look out to see who else joined the party, seeing a few Griffins looking at me as they draw their weapons out, looking at me as I watch them, I then turn back to the dragon, who looks up at me as it lifts its head up.
Fucker ain't that scary… Ever seen a Fatalis before? Now that fucker is scary, if I see one of those, I ain't gonna fight it unless you give me a death defying reason.
But I digress, let's fuck these guys up.
I pull the Spartan laser out, aiming it at the dragon as it opens its mouth to breath out… Well, whatever it breathes out.
I pull the trigger and wait for a few seconds before I see the red beam fire, going across the dragons face and burning its scales, not really doing much but seeing it roar in pain now, means a direct hit will kill, or, mortally wound the fucker.
I place the Spartan Laser onto my back again as I turn and look at the Griffins, who look utterly surprised as their trump card is now roaring in pain, and I grin under my helmet as I pull my two SMGs out and aim at them.
“Mother fucking cunts on my lawn?! Looks like it's time to mow ‘em down!” I call out, as I pull the triggers and watch as a hail of bullets rain upon them.
There's like… Five of them? And a single dragon? Two of the Griffins fall from the bullets, the other three taking cover behind some trees as I keep them pinned.
The dragon, seeming to be fine now, turns to me in anger, and I look towards it as it breathes a fireball at me.
I quickly roll away and start running as I get back up from my roll, fucking boss fighting this shit right now.
I open fire on the dragon, my bullets doing nothing to its scales as it fires another fireball at me, fucking bitch.
I'm able to out run that one, but I know it's thinking, because it's looking ahead of me… Oh fuck me…
It fires another one that hits right in front of me, I'm blown back and my shields pop and spark around my armor as it tries to recharge as I fly through the air and land on my back, skidding a bit across the ground.
I slowly get up and groan as the dragon roars and charges at me. Me being me, I roll out of the way as soon as I’m up, backing off and putting the SMGs back as I pull out the Spartan laser again, I continue to back off as the dragon looks at me as the Spartan laser charges up, and I fire another beam at it, this one hits its front arm, putting a large hole through it that's immediately cauterized from the heat.
It roars once more as it grips its arm in pain, and I charge up another shot, it glares at me, but gets a terrified look as I aim at its head, and it moves a second too late, as the beam fires and races towards its head, to which it then puts a hole straight through its eyes, and it drops dead.
Fucking overgrown iguana, I turn to the last of the Griffins, only to receive a crossbow bolt into my side, a spot where my armor doesn't cover it, and I feel burning pain as I hold where I was hit.
'D-Dad! A-Are you okay?!'
'I'm fine Acid, daddy's gonna need to just tough it out'
I can feel it bleeding, and I hiss in pain as I shake my head and look up, the Griffins have advanced and seem to be both terrified, and cocky, as I'm now hit, but the dragon is dead.
I quickly pull out one of my SMGs, and they quickly freeze as I open fire on them again, they scatter away as the bullets fly everywhere in their direction, one of them being hit and the other two flying away as they're friend goes down, screaming out in pain as he dies quickly after a few more bullets go into him.
The last two fly off quickly, and I fire another small hail of bullets to keep them going, but stop after I hear the SMG click empty, and sigh to myself.
“Fucking bastards got me… Should I not really feel this pain? Fuck if I know, I hate pain…” I sigh again as I look around at the now silent area.
Fuck man, seems battles go a few ways, and the two most ways… Are slow and long… Or fast and it ends quickly…
Sentinels now start coming out, going for the dragon to scan it, and maybe take scales and other things off of it for research.
I stand up straight as I hold my side.
Looks like I got new enemies to deal with… Fan fucking tastic.
I grunt in pain and as luck would have it I wasn’t hit in some vital organ or something, thank God, though it still hurt like a bitch. I look at the bolt in my side and grab onto it, wincing at the pain, before I tore it out of me. Feeling the blood trickle down my side as I proceed to stand, trying to ignore it and the wave of nausea that had risen over me. I also try to ignore the the vomit trying to come up from my stomach. I gulp before I make it down the last of the stairs and onto the floor of the Forerunner facility, shaking my head as my comm comes on with Serenity's voice.
“Kent?! Are you alright!?” I wave a hand and take a breath of air through my helmet, which feels overwhelmingly confining at the moment.
“Fine, I’m fine I just need… To sit down.” Maybe more like lay back and sleep, I really am starting to have second thoughts on this whole Spartan lifestyle.
“You sound like you’re in a lot more pain then you’re letting on.” I shake my head before I start my march down the hall.
“Tell the ponies in the armory to leave please, I want to be left alone” I say as pain from moving so rapidly causes me to wince.
“Two of them are staying, remember?”
I pause and sigh as this memory hits me, Vapor and Luna… Vapor I'm willing but Luna? She's gonna be missed… Damnit. I shake my head in frustration, “Just tell them to meet me in the control room, I don't want to deal with this right now.”
“The medical bay might be a good option for you right now.”
“I'd head there if I didn't feel like shit and knew where it was… Because my memory isn't the best.” I reply.
She sighs, “Just continue down the hall”
I do just that, walking down the hall silently as I head for the med bay, more or less just done with being shot at, I mean, I was only shot once, but this really sucks just having to be wounded so easily and this pain… I hate pain, pain makes me angry and want to beat the shit out of who dealt it to me.
Shaking my head I continue until I make it to another door, to which it slides open and I walk into the familiar medbay, wait… fuck, I’ve already been here and forgot I was.
Me being a total dumbass aside.
I walk over to the table Serenity had me on from before, and I pop a squat on it and lay back, as robotic arms come down from the ceiling.
It's not all that much of a surprise, this place has lots of technology and robotic arms from the ceiling seem mild in this case.
Though they do have that… thing where their detached in some places and seem to be held by some invisible force as they fly down to me.
Once to me, they stop and just sit there before all but two leave, one with a syringe and the other with a small tube.
The one with the syringe, I hate needles by the way, comes down and jabs my arm, injecting whatever it has, making me cringe in the process, but it leaves and the other one goes to where I was hit and a foam like substance covers it, both leaving back to the ceiling as I sit up and hop off of the table.
I stretch and sigh, feeling better now that the pains gone, and I exit the medbay.
And to bump into the last thing I actually expected to see, a monitor.
It’s eye is yellow and it glows yellow as well, and I widen my eyes as it flies back a tad, watching me as I do it, before it starts to spin around me, doing this a few times before stopping in front of me again after seeming to have scanned me.
“Hello! I am Monitor 351 of this world's main facility, you seem to have an unknown and powerful A.I. with you, please do refrain harming any and all systems my creators made.” Its voice is a cheery womans voice, making it just seem happy to talk.
I nod, “Understood, we won’t hurt any of the technology and just… use it like it was intended to.” You gotta show respect to these guys, they pack a punch, even killing Johnson! That dude was a total badass! Surviving the flood and the destruction of the Halo ring, it's crazy he was only a human… though they do say he could shoot lasers from his eyes but I’m not sure if that one was true or not.
The Monitor stares at me before it looks around, seeming to be… lost… weird.
“Are you… alright?” It turns to me and snaps out of its stupor.
“Yes yes, sorry I am just… Lost.”
So I was right, “Why’s that?
“I seem to have… blanks in my databanks.”
Oh? Wonder what that does to its concern? “So do you, like, remember anything?”
“No”
“Really? Well, I mean, could hang with me if you want.”
This is when Serenity butts into this through my helmet, “Kent, this isn’t some normal Monitor.”
“Pardon?”
“I said nothing” Replies the Monitor, but I wave it away and listen to Serenity.
“It, well, to be more human, she, seems to be something new, the records show nothing of a monitor of any facility here, and her databanks can’t be missing, she's a Monitor.”
“Meaning?”
“She should have everything about her creators but she doesn’t.”
I get a tad confused by this, “But she just-”
“Kent, she isn’t right, something's off about her, all this is odd to even me.”
Odd… My A.I. is confused… Is that good or bad?
I sigh before I speak up again, “So… 351… Any other names you go by?”
She looks at me and just stares… creepy.
“I do not, no… Should I?”
I simply shrug, “I mean… Better then numbers honestly.”
“You offered something to me, what was it? Hang out with you? What does that mean?”
Oh lord this should make this ride even better to go on, Mr. Bones has his work cut out for him.
“Yeah, just follow me around I guess… better than floating around aimlessly.”
She floats there before she nods, “Okay! I’ll follow you around”
I nod and turn and start for the control room again, 351 right behind me as I walk. This day just gets better and better.
I look up at the beast that stands before me, it's scales pure white, it's horns curved back, and it's eyes full of what I would definitely call hate, as it glares down at me.
I gulp, taking a step back as it lifts its upper body to it's full height, towering over me, my team look up at as well, holding their rifles up, but I knew better, they were afraid… And so was I.
It pulls it's head back and roars, my ears burning from its intense roar, I instinctively put my hands to the sides of my helmet, crouching down, and shutting my eyes tightly.
I crack my eyes open and I look to my team, they're all doing the same, rifles on the ground, holding their helmets in pain.
When the roar finally ends, I shakily look up at what, anyone who saw this thing would call, a God, a pure white God, as it stares at me with pure malice in its eyes.
I know what I have to do, this thing could raze the lands if it wanted to, and no one could stop it, and it can make all creatures bend to its will, and I know I have a new job… It's to kill this fucker.
I pull out my DMR and open fire on it, my team doing their best to shake off the roars effects, and once they do, they pick up their weapons and open fire as well.
Five Spartans against one big mother fucking god dragon, this is a battle for the ages.
It seems just annoyed by us as it opens its mouth.
I see a red glow coming from its chest, going up its neck, before it spews a ball of pure electricity at us.
I turn and start running, my team seeing it as well, they follow.
But it seems futile as the ball of electricity just blows up, knocking all of us onto the ground, and it's terrifying to think what would have happened it it had hit one of us head on.
We're Spartans, not Hunters, there's a huge difference from both lores and such, we're similar if you don't know the lore, both bio engineered super soldiers, but one that's meant to fight people and aliens, and the other fighting giant beasts, including this one.
I slowly get up from the blast that knocked me down, and I turn and open fire on the beast again.
I know my bullets don't work, it's obvious as they just bounce off its scales, but if anything, it's better to try, then not.
But it doesn't seem to care as it slams its tail down, making the ground shatter from the force of it, and it swipes it right at us.
I leap over it, as does Josh and Jenni, but Steve and Kate don't.
Both of them being knocked flying into a wall, the wall cracks from the impact they cause, and they both fall to the ground, the life sign readings my helmet gives me says it all… They died.
This beast is not something we can fight, not without serious firepower.
“Kent! Help is on the way! ETA, ten minutes! Hold out!” Serenity says this with… Fear? Fuck, an A.I. That's terrified, that's not good.
I turn and start to aim for its face, opening fire once more as I do my best to empty a clip into the bastard.
Its face seems just as armored as its body, and it just seems bored of this as it slams onto the ground and charges, at us.
Ever seen a Leopard Gecko walk before? Kinda like that, but faster, and more terrifying.
I roll away, keeping my distance as it lifts itself back up, and a grenade lands right by one of its legs.
It doesn't seem to notice such a small object until it's too late, and it explodes, and it roars.
But not in pain, in fury as it turns its gaze to Jenni, who looks up at it as its chest glows red, as does its neck and parts of its head, and it roars with anger.
It makes us hold our helmets again, before I look to see it had gotten close to Jenni, before I or Josh could react, it swept its head down and picked her up in its mouth, she couldn't even scream before it chomped, down onto her, killing her instantly.
Her armor just shatters from its teeth, and it throws her aside, and she lands in a heap, blood oozing from where it bit into her, and it pools around her.
I look back up at the beast as it turns its gaze to me, and I grit my teeth, it’s going to pay for that.
I open fire again, doing what I can to fight.
I gotta be fast, I gotta be smart and not get killed, I might have had all this stuff happen to me to make me stronger, but this fucker could still kill me.
I fire a few rounds before I run and start to reload, Josh doing the same as he unloads a full clip from his AR into the bastard, only for it to do nothing to it.
I don't even think armor piercing rounds would do anything as I reload and hide behind some rubble from the destroyed tower in this battle ground, Josh takes up a spot not all that far away, behind a large pile of bricks, and he fires at the beast as I do the same.
It just looks at us without seeming to be all that concerned, and it roars again, this time it seems held back, but I notice storm clouds gathering above of us, and my eyes widen as lightning starts to strike all around us.
I get up and start to look for cover, but there isn’t any, that's when I hear a cry of pain through the comms, and I look at Josh, who's now on the ground, his armor scorched, but he's alive and I see his heart still beating on my helmets team monitor, all the others show the team members have flatlined, and I shake my head and continue trying to avoid the Lightning.
It stops after only a few seconds, and the dragon turns its head to me as it flaps it's great wings and takes to the air, and it starts to shoot balls of electricity at me as I run.
“Helps here Kent! Hold on!” Serenity says with urgency.
I look up to see a Pelican flying straight at the beast, it turns a little too late as it had been focused on me, and it's side is rammed by the machine of war, and it falls to the ground.
The pelican slows itself down before it turns and opens fire with its heavy machine guns on its front end, the bullets start to completely tear the beast apart from its hail of death.
It roars in pain as I run to Josh, hefting him up and onto my shoulders, as I look at the pelican again, I see it still unloading bullets into the beast without end.
I turn and run towards our falcon we landed here in, and I get Josh into it, getting him strapped in before I open the cockpit and climb in, turning the bird on and it's blades whirring to life.
I look back to see the pelican finally stop its hail of bullets, staring at where the Fatalis is, before a large ball of electricity flies out and hits the pelican dead center.
The cockpit becoming nothing more than melted slag, and I watch with horror as it crashes into the ground with a ground shaking explosion.
I turn back and see the falcon is read to fly, and I quickly grab the handle and pull up, getting it to raise up from the ground, I quickly make it turn and start to fly away, doing my best to get the girl to move faster.
That's when I hear the roar of the Fatalis, and I don't even try to look as I just try to get us out of there.
Only for a something to hit us, and the alarms in the cockpit start to go off as I lose control of the bird.
I pull the handle with all my might, only for it to not pull up, but it's no use, as we head for the forest below the mountain, and I shut my eyes as it crashes into the ground, smashing into trees and finally pushing through the ground, I feel it hit something and start doing flips, crashing and falling apart before finally hitting something and stopping with a loud crash.
By this point, I can't believe I survived, and I slowly shake my head, before I look outside the cockpits Windows, to see we're upside down, and I'm stuck inside of the cockpit.
I breathe in shaky breaths, before I blink a few more times, a roar of triumph makes me ears ring, until everything goes black.

That’s when I sit up in bed, panting as I look around my room, it’s all dark, I put a hand to my head, into sweating.
Was that a nightmare? maybe… Or was it showing me what’s going to happen in the near future?
So, with a new friend in tow, I walk down the hallway and towards another door, had this room repurposed for meeting stuff.
Inside are many black and comfy chairs, and a long table, with a few cups cause I get thirsty a lot.
I walk up to the biggest of the chairs and sit down with a sigh, as 351 floats next to me… I am now an evil villain with his pet, amazing.
But the door then opens as Luna walks in and looks about the room, then at me, which I give an, okay sign to her.
“Glad you didn’t get lost Uh… Luna”
“Oh but we did… several times… alas we needith to know thine plan.” she replied, a stern gaze with a hint of hope in her teal eyes fixed on me and 351.
“My plan! Yes, my plan… the plans of plans… I, don’t have one” I rub the back of my neck a bit sheepishly, “Just… rolling right now”
Luna worked her jaw as if I had given it a good punch, “Rolling with it… that is your plan… thou are bad at plans.” she smiled as she waved a hoof at me, “Let us start with the parasites, how should we go about exterminating them?”
I sigh, tapping my foot a bit as I think, “Extermination of the flood involves more than a few spells… or guns, if the flood are deeply rooted… a glassing of the area is the best chance we have, if you know what glassing the area means.”
“If we assume correctly it means to heat the very soil to turn it and everything upon it either ash or glass.” she replies, tapping her chin.
“Yes and No, the Covenant, a mix of alien races, used large beam weapons to glass entire planets and the population on them, one of said races joined humanity to fight the other races, and had to glass an entire continent to be rid of the flood, but even that didn’t fully work” I sigh as I rest my head on my hand.
351 looks at me in silence, Serenity and Acid are silent as well, obviously, it’s not a all round nice subject.
“Well then… what about a phoenix, could it infect living fire?” Luna asks, all the while tapping her hoof to her chin.
I huff and sit back in my chair, “That’s just the problem, I know the flood, but this flood could easily be worse than we know… so maybe it could? I have no idea”
“What is your recommendation that would not result in mass genocide?” Luna asks while rubbing her temples, “Bear in mind I am not opposed to a skirmish or just burning them out.”
“The best option? Evacuation, than glass the entire area… mass genocide is almost guaranteed if the flood is allowed to stay, and… well… do you WANT to see hundreds of your people slaughtered and used as more food for those grotesque abominations?”
"Well then, we will need to assess how much of the region is infected before evacuating, our Lunar Guard should suffice to keep our sister from realizing what is going on." Luna replied, tapping a hoof to her chin.
I sigh heavily and sit back and stretch my legs out, “I doubt that will work, the glassing of an area isn’t exactly easy to keep on the quiet side of things… it’s gonna be difficult even finding the mass area” I look at her and shrug.
"Well then, our Lunar Guard should be able to distract her long enough, at least until the glassing begins." Luna replies with a frown, "We dread to think what she will do when she finds out…"
“Throw a hissy fit, no doubt about it, but that’s just my personal opinion” I sit back more as the chair leans back pretty far, “Even then, a glassing isn’t exactly the safest for anything to be there so, we definitely really need to find the location of the flood.”
"And how pray tell shall we go about that?" Luna replies, her brow creasing in thought.
I raise a finger, but I then let it droop as I sigh, “Not sure honestly…”
351 then pipes in, “I bet I can help! We just need to scan the planet!”
I turn my head to look at her, then back at Luna, putting a finger to my chin as I nod a bit, “That could work actually…”
"Short of when we were banished to thine moon, nopony has ever left the planet before… We would assume ye have a plan?" Luna asks, a small smile playing upon her lips.
351 flies up to her and looks her over before flying back to me, I gain a confused look before she speaks again, “You left the planet? I’m not sure you could, but I can, it would take me.”
She freezes up for a moment before she goes back to floating normally again, “I believe a few hours.”
I look at her with a smile, “That does solve a massive issue”
"We were hoping to get another look at the stars themselves again… alas perhaps we shall continue that endeavour after the threat has passed." Luna frowned, "Shall we continue?" She waved her hoof towards 351.
I look at her and shrug, “That’s all we can do now at this point, just let 351 do the scan and wait, then we glass the area that the flood inhabit.” I stand and stretch a bit, “Besides, I’m getting kinda hungry and I forget the last time I ate”
Luna nods, a look of grim steel flashing through her eyes as she heads towards the door.
I watch her leave silently, not sure what else to do before I look at 351, who simply floats there, looking back at me before I look away and head for the door.
~~Three hours later~~
I sit in the cafeteria of the facility, it’s… empty, it’s big and empty.
I look all around, empty seats everywhere, and a single tray being in front of me, devoid of food, since I ate it all, I feel better but… It’s odd seeing this place just, deserted.
I stand and pick up the tray and head over to where the others are set, setting my own try on top before I hear a quiet voice speak in my head.
“So… We destroy land to kill it?”
I sigh and look at the empty cafeteria, “It’s all we can do Acid, not much we CAN do, but it’s the best option we have… Not one I like but it’s necessary.”
I hear her sigh, moving a bit as I start to make my way out of the cafeteria.
“But couldn’t I do something?”
I stop before I shake my head, “No, not really, your gonna get bigger and tougher I bet but… The flood is overwhelming, I don’t even think we have a chance.”
“But you said-”
“I lied to her, Alright? I hate lying but Luna doesn’t get it, this planet? It’s not like I can save it, not like anyone can, it's been infected for god knows how long, this thing might be directly inside the core of this planet for all we know.” I clench my fists before I sigh heavily.
“Besides… This can give some ease to others minds knowing we may have a solution… I will figure something out but the flood will fight once it’s provoked, and if this things as bad as I think it is… We may as well give up.”
Acid remains silent before speaking again, “How did they stop it?”
I shut my eyes and sigh again, “Even with more or less two armies fighting it, the flood can easily fend them off… They had to destroy an entire ark, a massively sized station for making weapons that could wipe the galaxy clean of the flood, and all life as we know it, that seemed to kill the flood… or maybe it just delayed them.”
I shrug and continue walking, “But let’s see what we can do, never said I was giving up, it’s a challenge, and challenges can be fun to overcome.”
She sighs after a moment, “I hope we can beat it.”
I smile, “Oh I have a plan if it feels like it won, gonna go out with a final bang.”
I begin down the hallway as the door to the cafeteria shuts behind me.
