Twilight promised herself she wouldn't use the mirror again. She'd barely gotten out last time. Unfortunately, Princess Celestia has other plans, and Equestria's newest princess seems to be on call. Tasked with traveling to another world to bring peace to rival species, her job is hard enough. Said job becomes even harder when deception rears its ugly hooves.

Before being assigned Day and Night, before even becoming alicorns, Luna and Celestia suffered through the Great War. Times were plagued by starvation and suffering, and a relentless dictator ruled the land. When an attempt at salvation goes horribly wrong, the two siblings are forced out into the world on a journey that may threaten to separate them forever.

Fluttershy has always had trouble finding her voice, confident only when surrounded by her animal friends. So of course she's eager to take in a small blue creature she thinks needs her help. But when her newest guest begins destroying everything, Fluttershy may have to find her a voice a little sooner than she expected.

My own personal headcanon for the story behind the death of Applejack's parents.

Applejack has seen a great many things in her life. Some good, some not so good. Fortunately she has her faithful group of friends to help her out when things get rough. But things weren't always that way. There is a day in her past that continually haunts her, and back then, she didn't yet have the magic of friendship to get her through it.

This one shot details that one night, the night that changed everything.

When a train ride for a school field trip turns boring, it's up to the Cutie Mark Crusaders to find a way to pass the time. All that changes when the train enters a tunnel, and each have differing views about what's on the other side.

It doesn't help that all of them have a completely wild imagination.

Chores. Chores. Chores. They never end. Applejack has had enough, and embarks on a long overdue vacation at what she presumes to be a hotel. It looks like a decent enough place, sadly, with 999 guests, it's almost filled to capacity, and large enough to house 1,000 guests at once. But there's room for one more.

However, Applejack soon finds herself the unwilling applicant of the final vacancy, and while attempting to escape from the dark hallways of the dead, first has to escape the very familiar looking residents who want her to stay.

Forever.

Diamond Tiara has always had it easy, and been able to do pretty much anything she wants. All that is about to change.

After an episode of rebellion which infuriates her father, Diamond Tiara finds herself stuck with two choices. Military school, or take care of a small orange creature who insists that his name is Russell.

The final installment in the Angels and Demons trilogy. I would recommend reading Angels and Demons 1 and 2 first but it's not entirely necessary.
