When Sunset Shimmer's nascent revolution falls apart and she flees Equestria via portal, she finds herself in 21st century Tokyo, where an aspiring dictator puts her where he puts all his problematic teenagers: Shujin Academy.

But Sunset still can't abide tyrants, and she's about to find out she's not alone.

Content Warnings: I'm trying to keep the themes and level of description of them consistent with Persona 5. That means violence, mentions of sex and sexual abuse (but no description thereof), talk of suicide/self harm, and supernatural mental illness.

Lost in thought after a school trip to see Hamilton, Sunset Shimmer tells the unexpected story of how she ended up in the human world in the first place.

Inspired by the mysterious apparently Equestrian unicorn on Alexander Hamilton's powder horn (actual historical artifact shown in cover art), and by the musical. You don't need to know about Hamilton's life to read this, but you should really listen to the musical anyway, it's great. Assumes Equestria girls takes place on actual Earth, rather than a close analogue. Tagged Tragedy in the Greek sense (we all know how this one ends) and teen/sex for some references. (It is reported that Martha Washington named her feral tom cat after Hamilton, after all.)

Twilight and her friends struggle to adapt to their new roles as extremely public heroes of Equestria, but unwittingly set in motion events that bring back Celestia and Luna's most ancient foe.

This story began as a simple pony-based retelling of The Lord of the Rings, but is now something entirely different. Starting with the end of Season 4, this story aims to continue from there in novelized form, as opposed to a series of episodes. (As a result, I've marked it with Alternate Universe: while I think it's compatible with canon so far, it certainly won't be after season 5 starts.)

I do like the slow burn, so it might take a bit to justify its tags, but I've based them on the story as a whole. Dark for honest depictions of warfare. No sex tag, but there may be some passing mention of sexuality in keeping with the Teen rating.

Please note: there are some spoilers in the comments.

These documents present the adventures of Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, in a different human world than the one she found through the mirror.

Strangely amnesiac, Twilight finds herself on a dirty hillside on the outskirts of a human city. She must discover the truth of this strange world, and decide what she brings to it.

Rated Teen/Sex for references to various mammals having sex organs and/or desires.
Rated Dark for safety; it's darker than the show, but not than plenty of young adult fiction.
Other tags intentionally omitted, but if even mentions of shipping annoy you, maybe give this a pass.
