The elements of harmony only work when all of the mane 6 are working together. If you read the prequel to this, you'd know that one is definitely out of commission.

As for the three 'gods', well, one is a lazy bum who sends her student and her friend to do everything and was overpowered by the changeling queen, one is asleep during the day for the most part and just oversees dreams, and the other is a 'egghead'.

what about discord? Is he still free in this universe and if so would he help? I mean come on if anything goes after fluttershy he'll probably be pretty pissed.

I try to keep my stories as canon as possible, ie I had to go back and change Twilight to an alicorn. Yes, Discord is free. Not too sure what role he may play, but he will be included somewhere.

Actually never read it. No real inspiration... first chapter of Fire in Her Eyes was almost play-by-play of a dream I had. From there, I just wrote down whatever really came to mind. Again, I had some helpful input from some of my readers, which I always welcome.
