Prequel to Lost. (Some chapters are set in the present and others in the past)
It’s been two years since Fluttershy became Lost in the Everfree forest and was rescued by the human mage Grendel, curious to know more about humans beyond what Fluttershy told her. Twilight Sparkle decides to visit the Royal Archives in Canterlot but each trips goes without success. On one of her visits however, she is shown by the Royal Archives Scribe, Quill Pen, a secret room that contains an old tome. As she reads it she discovers that not only have there been humans in Equestria before, but what she and every pony knew about the rise and fall of King Sombra…

I'm kinda annoyed by the obviously evil mages name.
It sounds too much like Malzahar.
Sure he's most likely supposed to be a carbon copy of him but the name just sounds... cheap and made up in 10 seconds.

. And I can see what you mean by the names being really similar, Malaskaar was a villain from my old Dungeons and Dragons quest back when I used to play it a lot as a teenager. His name was a combination of Malicious due to his personality and Skaar because of his deity; I added the extra ‘a’ after Mal because it sounded a lot better coming of the tongue then Malskaar did.
Honestly, I've just looked up who Malzahar is and I didn't know he was from LOL due to me never playing it
So sorry if the name does annoy you, I really didn’t know there was a LOL character called Malzahar either. I’ll probably change his name with another villain from my old Dungeons and Dragons characters in the future (If I can find the damn character sheets) I’d like to say thank you for not down voting my story because of that as well.

He does look pretty sweet and I can see now what you meant by the similarities, hopefully I can clear it up now. His whole shadow manipulation thing is his God favor meaning its a bonus power he is granted by J'skaar but it does take a lot of energy to keep up, the lightning he casts is his base element. In the other story I did, 'Lost', the mage from it uses fire most of the time because thats his bas element, the mages I depict can all use elemental magic but they all have a personal preference they do better at, if that makes sense

it's things like this that annoy me XD for example, and I know I mentioned this on "Chaotic Love" but Flare Pyros is the Darkness incarnate, and guess what? He is one of good guys, Light is not inherently good nor is Darkness inherently evil. Think Riku from Kingdom Hearts 2 XD... But anyway, good story and I hope you update soon
I'm so sorry for how long it's been since I updated this
. I was working on Chaotic Love as well as Uni work and wasn't able to properly balance everything, however now that I'm nearly done with uni (only a week or so left.) I will be working on Revelations for the majority of the time being. Thank you for being patient and I hope you like the chapter.

Thank you, it's going to be the longest chapter to date on it, so long it will be split into to sections. After that the story is going to be nearly finished and the sequel will be started I think...either the end of June or beginning of July. Maybe sooner if nothing gets in the way.
