This story is a sequel to Flash Sentry, Defender of the Peace S6
When the students of Canterlot High go on a trip to Camp Everfree, they are amazed to discover a magical force is causing strange things to happen around the camp. Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle is still suffering with the mistakes she's made while using magic as the dreaded Midnight Sparkle. With the help of her friends, she must overcome her fears, and now embrace her newfound magical abilities to save the camp.
All the while, Flash is dealing with his own issues, mainly his unclear feelings toward his best friend and her interest if some guy she barely knows. But as he does this, he now finds himself wielding his own magical abilities.

Well, this is short chapter but this is just the beginning of Flash's greatest challenge... stopping Timber from stealing his beloved Twilight.
I know some of you don't bash on Timber but not for me, on next week and week after that, I will bash Timber everytime he appears in this fic.

Oh boy! I have waited patiently for years for you to get to this! Kinda ironic that this terrible movie was what finally convinced you to make your own version of the show, and we get one of the greatest adaptation series thanks to it.
I am just going to come out and say, most of the adaptation fanfics I find of this story are just lazy and disappointing. Off the top of my head I can only think of one fanfic version that is any good and gives Flash justice, maybe two. Most people who adapt this and Friendship Games do a borderline plagiarism of the movies, like they copy and pasted the transcript with little to no changes in dialogue. The biggest “changes” most people make are a) replacing Sci-Twi with a Human Sunset, b) make it so Sci-Twi gets in a relationship with Sunset instead, or c) add a bunch of pointless OCs that don’t contribute anything to the story and just steal lines or feel completely out of place. I know you won’t be doing any of those things though so this is going to be good.
As for the actual story, it seems like it is off to a good start. Nice to see that all the guys in the group are not impressed by Timber, and instantly see through his bullshit. It also looks like Flash is getting some electric based magic. That is interesting, so maybe he’ll be like Static from DC or something. Also, the small explanation of what happened to Cinch after the Friendship Games was entirely satisfying. Much better than just learning Cadance had replaced her from a single line in Dance Magic.
Also, interesting change for Diamond Tiara to be going to Crystal Prep instead of CHS. It might be small, but still interesting and a little fitting considering her attitude before her redemption.

I was definitely put off with this movie when it came out and I'm really hoping that your iteration will help fix everything that was wrong with it. I'm quite confident and hopeful that you'll do you fine.
A pretty good start already Banshee, I can already feel the tensions start building up between Timber & Flash in this one!
Good that we got to know Cinch got hit by the karma stick hard for all the crap she pulled during Friendship Games, not to mention Flash's powers starting to manifest themselves, should be a wild ride in the upcoming chapters!

Good grief. Please tell me you're not rehashing that one arc from your Pokemon series.
I know conflict and conflict resolution are a healthy part of any relationship, but there's something uncomfortable about the way you write the two of them fighting. I can't explain it. Not that that one arc was bad, it was just really uncomfortable seeing them be jerks to each other. Also, whenever you write about them fighting, it kinda feels like they're only fighting for the sake of dragging out the romantic tension between them. Granted, my discomfort might have more to do with my personality as opposed to your writing ability.
I'll be honest with you. My biggest problem with the movie wasn't even the fact that Flash got shafted although that was terrible. I just found the whole movie except the ending really depressing. I'm hoping that your version turns out better in that regard as well as the shipping aspect.
Oh gosh! I want to like this SO BAD! But I'm kinda terrified that I won't. I mean, I want to like it because I think highly of you as a writer and a Flashlight shipper, but I'm worried that I won't because our interpretations of the characters don't always line up and because our tastes in fiction don't always mesh.

Another good chapter. You already managed to fix one of the biggest problems with Legend of Everfree, Sunset’s advice to Flash. She gives entire friendship speeches to everyone else, but the most she could spare him was a “get over it” in canon, I call that borderline relationship sabotage. But here she actually gives him good advice, and is onboard with the Royal Knights plan to help him and Sci-Twi hook up.
I’m curious to see what Flash’s powers exactly are, or maybe he has multiple powers since he currently seems to have Lightning and strength based magic.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of EQG and Timber but I'm liking where this is going and you have been doing a really good job on the Flash Sentry Chronicles. Makes me Wished you were a writer for Flash Sentry in the cannon show.
Yeah, no offense, but this story is even more big saddening than the source material so far, and the only thing I've been able to look forward to is Twilight and Timber not being a thing. Also, please tell me Flash is going to do more than notice that Twilight is having problems. I get that he's feeling inadequate, but at least have him TRY to show her that he cares about her problems, even if it's something small.
Like I said last time, our interpretations of who these characters are sometimes don't agree, so don't take everything I just wrote personally.
Glad that the Royal Knights & Sunset are on Flash's side regarding his feelings for Twilight, especially Sunset's brutal honest advice!
Also Flash's powers are starting to get stronger, hopefully that dock won't get destroyed too much like in canon!

Banshee, as a woman, I have no way of knowing what it's like for a man to be crippled by inadequacy, but I am of the opinion that a real man wouldn't let inadequacy stop him from giving a woman what she needs, and right now, Twilight needs someone to talk to, someone who will listen, and someone who will show her that he cares. If Flash doesn't find a way to at least TRY to give that to Twilight, then maybe his love for her is purely imaginary.
He doesn't have to tell her how he feels. He just has to let her know he's there for her. That's it.

While I still ship Flash with Twilight in both Equestria and the human world, I don't want to see Timber getting mistreated. I think that would be unfair. Also, I thought Timber hiding behind SciTwi because they thought Pinkie's floatie was a sea monster was pretty funny. It's kind of the joke that the ordinary boy would hide behind the powerful girl in fear. It may seem a little cliche but that all it is, a joke. The guy isn't perfect of course.

Flash confronting Timber was a great part. Even if I absolutely do not support the idea of Twi and Timber together, I will admit that Flash saying all he wants is for Twilight to be happy, even if she doesn't end up with him, was very mature of him. Though what happens afterwards with him running away from Twilight hurt a bit. I hope he'll be okay.
Asshole! I've seen stuff like that elsewhere. Most commonly a version where someone holds a door open for someone then purposely closes it in someone else's face. It is one of the easiest ways to show someone is a jerk.

I kind of agree with you. Not wanting to antagonize anyone. You made some valid points. While I ship Flashlight, I can't help but think of the pony versions in this AU. The SciTwi and EQG Flash don't seem to have the same romantic spark as those two do, in my eyes.
