After he ends up in the Everfree when taking the wrong slipgate, he ventures into town. Knocking on the library door, he’s met with a spell from the resident Alicorn.
Sent somewhere, he just goes with the flow.
Hey. This story has Human/Pony, but only in the epilogue. It’s kinda hinted at in the main story, but there isn’t any explicitly romantic stuff. But if you ain’t into that at all, I’d suggest you not read.

I made him at least smart enough to hold on to one weapon, but it’s more realistic that he would have to give them up, especially if he was already seen as a danger by another pony.

I kind of always imagined the characters just using a really big belt, but I read ‘quantum storage unit’ for Doomguy in some other fanfic so maybe that’s where you heard that.
But for this one I’d say he has a strap on his back for the quick-access ones (Double-barrel, nailgun, axe) while he keeps the bigger, less convenient ones hooked on some type of belt.
Either way, there isn’t much hiding he can do. It’s all out in the open.
