Spike has gone missing, and the sole clue points to El Dorado, and Pinkamena has taken it upon herself to find him and solve the mystery of El Dorado.

Well, there's not a lot to say about this since is's really just the setup, but the bit about the disappearances makes me wonder why travel is allowed. Celestia could easily drop a travel ban or close the border to prevent her ponies from disappearing, and doing so would also give her significant leverage to force them to open up about it.
Also, musical references and e-book readers don't mix.
