During a Canterlot Wedding mixed with Twilight Sparkle as Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent places a curse on Twilight at birth. After her brother, friends, and mentor leave her she pricks her hoof and falls into a deep sleep that they must wake her from.

True. Maleficent's magic is way too powerful, she's the Mistress of All Evil, and can transform into a dragon.
Chrysalis can shapeshift, her magic is weak unless ampt up with love from her prey and is a queen.
Chrysalis is no match for Maleficent.
Sam, I found errors that need to be corrected.
"You pour insignicant foals. Thinking you could defeat me! The mistress of all evil!” she sneered.
The 'pour' should be 'poor', the pour you put means pouring a drink or cake mix.
And the other is in this:
“Oh she’s not dead, thanks to Celestia,” Malificent sneered. “But she is out of my way now nonetheless. And without her, you cannot use the elements of harmony to stop me from conquering Canterlot.”
Maleficent is spelled wrong there.

What a very interesting yet fitting concept. Keep up the good work. I just hope you don't make Maleficent do the whole "I am so powerful and I got what I needed so you have outlived your usefulness" thing on Chrysalis.

Flash Sentry's kiss does wake Twilight because he loves her and she loves him back. That will take place after Chrysalis and Maleficent are defeated. Plus, I like the 'humanid pigs' as Maleficent's goons.

I'd actually find it interesting if Flash wasn't the one who woke up Twilight and this was a story that showed that either family or friendship could also be considered a form of 'true love'.
But either way, I love this story! Maybe I'm just a little bit biased since I'm not a FlashLight shipper, but I'm always willing to read a good story regardless of shipping!

Thanks. Yeah it was inspired by the 2014 movie Maleficent. Thought it would be more fitting for family love to be true love. With how short s time that Flash and Twi have been together it's not enough for true love.

Cool! I love that Shining Armor was the one who woke Twilight instead of Flash. As much of a cool guy as Flash is, I like seeing that 'true love' goes beyond romance.
