Inspired by the controversy surrounding the Shudderwock card in Hearthstone's latest expansion: The Witchwood.
It's the launch day of the new Hearthstone expansion, and nopony in Equestria is more excited than Twilight Sparkle. After opening her seventy packs that she pre-purchased, the princess of friendship is ready to kick some flank with her awesome new Mage deck.
Unfortunately, a certain class has other plans for her.

8862728 Heh, sorry. I thought of the idea last night and opted to go for it after seeing a story featuring C'Thun. I'll admit, I rushed through the story, but I really didn't have much else in mind other than just writing a story that poked fun at the current controversy surrounding Shudderwock.
By the way, I'm running a Hadronox deck called Large Hadronox Collider. Lots of fun. It does okay against our good friend. :P

As a currently retired Yu-Gi-Oh card player, I really appreciate this story. Simple but true. Can't win them all and sometimes you just get beaten alot.
I like this because it made me remember the fun I've had over the years playing the game, even the times I lost as those loses inspired me to improve and evolve my deck.

8863046 The issue with Shudderwock is less his power and more his mercilessly long animation time. Played in a certain way, he can loop for quite some time (10 to 20 minutes). It blows. Big time.

I finally went against one of these. One of the battlecry's it did was Saronite Chain Gang, then the new mosquito one, and the other was Earthshaker. Make a new Shudderwock, deal three life steal damage to hero, return all other minions to hand and now they cost one.
... SHUDDERWOCK SUMMONED TEN TIMES IN ONE TURN!
