Celestia and Luna watch a strange videotape that they receive as a gift. However, it all goes downhill after the phone rings and an ominous threat is given to them.
"You're going to die in seven days..."
Now under the curse of Sadako Yamamura, Princess Celestia, alongside Twilight Sparkle, must figure out how to stop the curse. To do so, they must look into who sent the videotape: a pony by the name of Samara.
Meanwhile, despite being told by Twilight that all will be fine and that she has a plan, Princess Luna finds herself being rapidly consumed with an ever growing fear of death. And with each passing day, she finds herself slowly descending into a deep depression.
The clock is now ticking for the curse to be stopped before Equestria loses its rulers, and inevitably more as the videotape continues to spread. Can it be stopped? Or will the curse of Sadako continue unopposed?

I'll admit. I thought this was never going to happen, that you had given up on the project. But I'm pleasantly surprised it came through.
A crossover with The Ring? That's something I haven't seen before! I wish you luck in this story, and I hope it reaches the praise such as it deserves.
On a sorta-related note, I once began a crossover with Ju-On/The Grudge, but I gave up on it rather quickly..

9082744 Truth be told: I just scrapped the idea of posting the entire thing over the course of seven days. I realized that if I posted it now and looked at how it was received, it may light a fire under me and motivate me to finish it. That isn't to say I wasn't motivated to write it, it's just that I got side tracked. A lot.
9082747 Thank you so much for your kind words! I'd wanted to write this back when Rings was coming out, but opted not to as I was still extremely inexperienced with writing. When this version of the story came about, it was going to be a wicked dark comedy, but it slowly morphed into what it is now. Also, I myself have contemplated writing a Ju-On crossover myself. I still sometimes do. We'll see...

As for a Ju-On crossover, I've contemplated several times to pick the story back up, and I still do from time to time even nowadays. I still believe it could've been the best story I'd ever written, but stuff came in the way so it never happened. Oh well. If you ever make a crossover with Ju-On, I hope you treat it with respect and makes us shit our pants from fear!
Correct me if I'm wrong as I've never actually seen The Ring, but isn't Samara from The Grudge and not The Ring? Also, why don't Sadako and Samara have pony names?

This is one story I sometimes contemplate un-canceling, but it'll depend on how life treats me. I've been extremely stressed for months and haven't had much of a desire to write anything beyond a book I'm working on (which even that's been stressful as hell thanks to life). Mayhaps some day, this'll be un-canceled. That's a big mayhaps though.
Edit: I will uncancel it, but I don't make any promises that it'll be continued right away.

Well personally for me it's no rush on you buddy, take as long as you need. I am somebody who respects others choices so if you decide to continue this, great! if not then I understand and hope that life treats you well. Don't worry about it.
