This story takes place during the events of the episode "Hearts and Hooves day"
The cutie mark crusaders; in a attempt to get Cheerilee and Big mac to love each other, mix a love potion with the hearts desire potion. But insitead of the two falling in love. Big Mac is suddenly turned into a little filly named Blossom. Meanwhile Cheerilee starts thinking that the filly is her adopted daughter.
Realizing they messed up the cutie mark crusaders now have to find a cure. Before Big Mac remains a filly for the rest of his life.

I wonder how you end it. One thing about that episode that I don't like is that the CMC were punished at the end. I normally am all for characters being punished and indeed MLP should do that more, such as the CMC during Bab's introduction episode and Starlight during that brainwashing episode. The CMC realized their mistake completely on their own, foresaw the consequences on their own (Yes they did get carried away but they were thinking in the right direction), came up with a plan of their own and then executed that plan on their own which was a very hard job. I think if a child does that then they have taken responsibility for their mistake. Punishing them on top of that is just needless cruelty. If anything I think Cherilee should have commended them for taking responsibility and fixing their mess completely on their own without any adult having to tell them to.

The addition of "Heart's Desire" makes me think on how Cheerilee may genuinely most desire the chance to be a mom over having a 'Very Special Some Pony'. She teaches all sorts of fillies and colts but does not have one of her own. Perhaps she would deeply desire to put her love of teaching and looking out for little ones towards a foal of her own? Perhaps she felt she may never find the right stallion and had given up with teaching being the closest she couldcome to being a part of raising a child?
Big Mac took me a bit to figure out. Then I realized howhe was in "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" and how he seemed quite ready to become "Orchard Blossom". It can't be easy being the only stallion in The Apple Family. Perhaps he feels he'd be as loved and appreciated if he, too, were a mare? However, to achieve this, he'd have to genuinely go from the start. This being emphasized by Cheerilee's desire to be a real mom.
Very clever and most exciting to see some Season 2 adventres already coming into play. Looking forward to more. :)

Ah... I was wondering when this would get back to Apple Bloom and her well-intentioned friends. I'm sure she, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo will be having quite the adventure in tracking down their misadventures in match-making.
Cheerilee sounds so adorable as a mom. You can tell she loves it and her thoughts of genuinely making Blossom be a part of her class is sweet yet impossible. Though no mom ever wants to be away from their baby. Nope, nope, nope!
Now it's a matter of when the CMC will first notice their folly. Will it be before or during school? I'm betting Zecora is starting to wonder whathappened to her Heart's Desire, too. (Unless this is in the AU where she's Applejack's foal. Then we know Apple Bloomer is still poking around the hut on her own and making mischief)
Fun story with such cute insights on Cheerilee. I wish she did eventually find a very special some pony. She is the sort you just want to see happy and not alone after a big day of teaching the foal's of Ponyville.

D'aww! I've always thought of Flutters as making an excellent mommy. However she'd have such a hard time finding a very special some pony to make it happen on her own. Perhaps she'd decide to add-on to her love of animals by creating a genuine orphanage for those foals who need a caring figure in their lives? she could definitely help them all learn caring skills through working with her animals?
Cheerilee is definitely a wonderful mom. For me I can't help but think of if she goes home feeling a sense of loneliness knowing she has all the foals in Ponyville but, in all likelihood, an empty house. For some educators getting away from kids is a good thing. However I'd like to think Cheerilee would be like how you are writing her. She's a proud mom who likes knowing she has her own foal to love, adore, and watch grow as she has so many other children in Ponyville.
Apple Bloom dashing around definitely is keeping the inevitable moment en route. Her run-in with Zecora almost guarantees it will happen soon. I wonder how Big Mac will feel once he finds out what his little sister and friends did to him and Cheerilee? I further wonder if they may try to not talk about it as "Heart's Desire" was involved and knowing their, well, heart's desire was granted?

This was a super awesome chapter! Lots of humor coupled with Cheerilee's desire to make 'Mommy Time' all the time! The mental imagery was just too good as you realized she was aiming for the best of both worlds. Being a mom and a teacher. Go, Cheerilee!
Best parts were the interactions with the CMCs as they they noted how Apple Bloom needed to be the one to fix the problem. The talk of how Sweetie Belle was used as a living doll for Rarity makes a lot of sense, too, as a fashionista would need a model to show off her initial efforts in clothing design. Easier to work on others than yourself when you are first starting out. Plus babies grow out of clothes fast and I doubt mom and dad minded Rarity using old foal clothes to make Rarity's initial fashions. :)
The whole thing with Diamond Tiara was epic! You covered pretty much everything that could happen in just a few segments in the chapter. her reactions were spot-on and I loved the spit-up moment. Plus Cheerilee getting her by the ear was quite a 'mom' thing to do for correctionary action.
Looks like Apple Bloom is going to be in hot water, again, with Zecora for taking that Heart's Desire. Perhaps our Zebra Shaman should put it in a less obvious place in case of Apple Bloom dabbling?

I've come to really enjoy your efforts with Apple Bloom and Zecora. You build such a strong relationship that goes beyond what is, at best, slightly implied in the canon show. The way you write out their scenes really comes off so natural while making you wonder why it never made it into the show itself.
<LoL!> Scootaloo with a bib and protesting is great! Definitely easy to picture and hear in my head.
I didn't see, but should've seen, what was coming after Cheerilee was told the news by Zecora and the CMC. She probably felt very threatened in her own home and went entirely off of Mommy Adrenaline to get out and away to safety. Perhaps she'd go to the Ponyville Police? Zecora with the CMC definitely would make for a frightening situation and being told from, likely, a total stranger to drink a potion certainly rings a lot of alarms.

Nice way to wrap everything up. If a train had been there the CMC and Zecora may have never caught Cheerilee and Big Mac may have remained a foal for a whole lot longer. Worse is how the Ponyville Schoolhouse would be without a teacher.
I truly believe that Cheerilee would be happy to be a mom. Teaching is perhaps the closest she has come to caring for foals, fillies, and colts. Having her own to watch grow and not just disappear after their schooling with her would make her so happy. She'd get to see a whole life of learning and growing instead of being a part of but a moment in their lives.
Poor Big Mac. Then again, at least until he discovers Sugar Belle, he does have a very special some pony to give him more to do than work the farm and do a 'Guy's Night' here-and-there. ;)

Great story and a great way to wrap everything up. Im glad Cheerilee had the experience to be a mother even if it was under a spell. And I'm very glad Big Mac got to normal I was worried he would be stuck as a baby filly forever though it looks like he's still gonna be in diapers for a while Xd
