This story is an alternate version of events in the Episode "Appleloosa's Most Wanted"

But his entire life changed after taking a dip in an enchanted mirror pool that changed his cutie mark but swapped his gender. The Clydesdale hesitates to accept this new reality but quickly learns his new cutie marks him the luckiest pony in Equestria. Not only that, his dreams of becoming a Rodeo Star can now finally be achieved. However, there are unattended consequences to Trouble Shoes' new luck as he learns and will have to see how much he's willing to pay to keep this new life.

I really like it and I'm curious how it will go on.

Trouble Shoes should get into the stocks market.

A very interesting prospect. Excited to see what you do with this story!

shoudlnt the horse shoe be fliped right side up on her flank then, an upside down horse shoe invites bad luck because all the good luck has 'spilled out' of it

Like... a really good solid start.

so..... Ranma 1/2? i like it, always loved Ranma and still do.

Yeah the artist forgot to include that but its fine.

It looks like Trouble Shoes has turned into Lucky Shoes. This story will be interesting to me and I'm giving you six stars for doing a good job. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I see several errors in that description.

The real fun will be when Shoes encounters other members of the apple clan. Unless this is a literal mirror universe in general and Shoes has always been lucky.

Then he heard howls in the distance, gasped, knowing they were timberwolves, and slowly looked around to see a pack of creatures surrounding him.

If he was the old Trouble Shoes, he would be running for the hills while tripping on every stump, root, or hole in the ground. But he was much more confident in his new cutie mark. Trouble Shoes then picked up an old piece of rope and quickly hog-tied him in the blink of an eye. The former stallion then took a stone, tossed it up, and bucked it into another. Then another Timberwolf tried to snap his jaws onto his neck, he then jumped up and came down, elbowing the creature and smashing it into pieces. After finishing off the last one that came at him, Trouble Shoes picked himself up and gave a playful smirk at the rest of the pack, who was now trembling in fear.

Wait, wait, wait. Isn't TS a mare now? Still thinking in male terms. Just saying.
Mare or not, there's only one reference for this.

I just base the pronouns as the character sees themself more then what they are.

Intriguing opener! I’m excited to see how this unfolds. A ponies cutie mark is an interesting expression of who they are deep down, and Trouble Shoes’ relation with his mark is already very cool as a character exploration. I look forward to seeing how he ends up feeling with it altered!

The story seems interesting and the concept behind the story as well.

Can't wait to see your more of your chapters and remember: Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going.

Applejack waved a hoof inside, then said, ", Well, stop just standin' there. Come on! We're just about to have dinner."

How about That? Must have... Lucked in.

Lucky nodded and skipped after her with a smile still on her face. Despite Applejack's jealousy, she couldn't help but admire Lucky and how humble she was. Maybe she always was just really good at rodeo sports but never competed. For now, she'll try being her friend and maybe learn a thing or two from her.

You keep telling yourself that.:ajsmug:

Going to be tragic if at the end Shoes has to give it all up.

This new chapter is great, I LIKE IT! I can't wait to see what Lucky will do next and remember: Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, and dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going.

I think I'm going to like Lucky Horseshoes I think it's perfect for me. Being Trouble Shoes is the worst always getting into a lot of trouble and having bad luck but when he turned into Lucky Horseshoes things started to get better and always have a lot of luck. Good luck is just you noticing an opportunity to shine.

What I want for Lucky Horseshoes is to have good luck in her life. I never want her to go back to Trouble Shoes and cause trouble again, she needs to have good luck by her side. Good luck is the willing handmaid of an upright and energetic character and conscientious observance of duty.

Applejack seemed unable to take her eyes off his. Then, without thinking, they both came right up close to each other, and then their muzzle came together, and they started to kiss under the moonlight.

That was the most beautiful thing I ever seen. I think my love meter just went to 100.

This new chapter is great, Foal Star, I enjoyed it. I can't wait to see what other things can Lucky will do probably she'll meet Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. Along with competing in a Iron Pony competition too. One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and be understood.

Here's a song that'll make you the greatest. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/IzCpyiabtME

Thats's some escalation, and it mostly works due the premise. I feel played, I usually dislike this kind of scenes, but this time the irony is on me, good job.

Troubleshoes felt relieved that so far, everything had been going relatively smoothly with Applejack despite his new "luck powers," as Pinkie Pie coined seemed to be happening throughout the day. Despite all of the strange luck brought onto him due to his cutie mark, the stallion was feeling much better and more confident. But was his good luck a superpower? That was still up for debate. As the stallion thought about this, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a little bunny standing in the middle of the street nibbling on a carrot.

I'm sorry, but this kind of bugs me. Without the story's description being at the top, you'd think TS is otherwise unchanged. Even if S/HE thinks of HERself as still being HIMself, the audience is not supposed to!

Well, that's my opinion, anyway. :twilightsheepish:

I think the abiguity is intentional. The pronouns are flipping back and forth way to fast for it not to be.

Just look at this paragraph.

"Right," Troubleshoes replied with a smile as he laid back, relaxing and feeling relieved and relaxed not just from being pampered but because she was much more confident than before. He could achieve her dream of being a rodeo star, and the best part was that she wouldn't have to do it alone.

Honestly this is pretty good internal character tension. I'm looking forward to seeing how shoes' story will unfold!

Troubleshoes then turned to face Applejack with a guilty look and said, "Well, you see, I've been thinking…what if my luck isn't making me lucky but causing bad luck for others? What if that bunny was only in trouble because of me?"

There's always an option to commited seppukuas third choice.

Applejack seemed unable to take her eyes off his. Then, without thinking, they both came right up close to each other, and then their muzzle came together, and they started to kiss under the moonlight.

...What? Where does that came from?

He then turned to see a yellow pegasus fly over with a worried look on her face and cried out, "Oh, thank Celestia!"

"I didn't do anything, but you're welcome.?":trollestia:

"Yeah, yeah, don't rub it in; we just need matching hats and boots," The farm mare then got rather serious and snapped, "Let me add, we don't do anything too fru fru."

That's frou-frou, but yeah.

Rarity took the brown-coated mare by the hoof and gazed at her as she said, "Take it from me, darling. You can never be too generous." She booped her muzzle and said, "Now, while you're here in Ponyville, why don't we take you to the spa!"

Wrong. There is such a thing as giving too much of yourself.

If you keep giving out more than you get back in return, there won't be anything left in the end.

Ton, Aggretsuko,

They then went to the banquet table, and a cream pie came flying out of nowhere; Troubleshoes ducked and could dodge it in time, but then she heard a Splat! And looked behind her to see that the cream pie had slammed into Applejack's face.

"Rats!" Pinkie shouted as she bounced away.

Applejack rolled her eyes and sighed agitatedly, "This isn't gonna get old fast." As the mare wiped the cream pie from her face.

"Guess Pinkie Pie is testing my luck powers?"

"Yeah, guess so, might as well get ready for more cream pies to be thrown at us."

Character 101: any character 's strength, taken too far or in the wrong direction, becomes a flaw.

I wish Trouble Shoes would stay as Lucky Horseshoes; Good luck is great for him, but bad luck makes his life miserable. I want him to have good luck because I always want him to be happy; I can't risk him to be sad forever. With his new cutie mark and Applejack by his side to give him confidence. He could be the luckiest earth pony that everypony wants him to be. Friendship improves happiness and abates misery by doubling our joy and dividing our grief.

love this. a lot of the stories i read when a character ends up switching genders/bodies,, the pronouns and the way the character views themself immediately changes. so im already a big fan of this fic

i like lucky shoes a lot so far :) i hope she doesn't have to give this new change up... completely at least and go back to being super clumsy. maybe something in-between.

im ship them so hard 🥹🥹 🧡💚

imo, i like to think trouble shoes cutiemark and stuff was based on clumsiness, his big figure/breed of horse he is. while lucky shoes is more of being at the right place at the right time, ie. angel bunny.

i do hope there is some way for his new cutie mark to help others? yknow. and that he stays humble
