Liked the fic, but it really needs a chapter title, even if it's a oneshot, so we have something obvious to click on in order to read it...
If this were an episode, Pinkie & Scoots would have tried a million different things, then fail at all of them. After a bit of wallowing in self-pity, (in the most adorable way ponies can muster) they'd either find a deus ex machina or a compromise, like tickets to an airship. Cue friendship report!
Excellent story! I could see most of this being an episode (The minor shipping at the end and the suicide ref at the start prolly not gonna be in an official Ep.). Also I think you did a good job at channeling the characters.
