Rarity, being the element of generosity, is a pony one would expect to except and support every decision her friends make. One day there is a shocking a revelation among all of her friends that puts that to the test however. It is then, after agreeing to meet with Twilight to discuss the matter, that she comes to question what it really is that defines her, and realises what she must sacrifice for her friend's happiness.

Awwww, yet another reason I myself find Rarity such an intriguing character. She knows the meaning of both sacrifice and acceptance better than any other pony, and will enact both as often as is neccessary for the well-being of her friends. Just hoping her friends realize and appreciate that!

7506936 Yeah, it kinda was a small stab at Rainbow's fashion sense. However, in the context of the story she was drunk the last time she offered any advise on the subject.
It's also a version of Rarity's view when it comes to what Rainbow might say on the subject.

Pros:
You hit the way Rarity talk very good.
I really like the selftalk of her , its fits to her in my small opinion.
The way the story ends makes me smile , generosity in a special way , well done. Even after some days i read it , i remember it , thats good^^
Cons:
A little bit to short maybe , i would like it a bit longer.
Maybe you could have mentioned that Rarity catched the bouquet at the first royal wedding.

I like it. Rarity shows good a good sense of sepflessness and sacrifice that no doubt many of us have been forced to go through. Even so, it leaves you hoping and wondering what could have been.
