7269992 I actually suggest going through my set of stories. I do non-clop probably at least every three to four fics, and the ratio can swap at times, dependant on what I feel more in the mood for. Hell, I have two stories that started as clopfics and aren't coming down the pipeline right now!

7272299 I think the biggest difference is personality and look yes he is a cod like character but unlike all the cods/battlefield he has a personality more then rugged solider. He was a idealist that founded a group that saved the world then had everything blow up in his face. Also you can tell at a look that he is from Overwatch while it is next to impossible to tell Cod and Battlefield protagonists apart as they pretty much are just angry guys with guns.
