I see what you did there, and it was pretty good, although there were a few issues that I saw:
you tended to go back and forth between present and past tense.
"What magic is this to effect my favorite student so!?" --sounds awkward.
I really loved the ending though, especially the letter to Celestia.
Oh lawd...this fic. I am beaten with the blunt instrument of comedy that it is.
Alas, Fluttershy, what horrors hath ye wrought?
(On a more serious note, I think you're missing a break between "...productive day of more reading and research." and the beginning of the end of the book. Also, ending cracked me up)
