Gotta say not a bad fic, I started reading it after discovering its remake and 27 chapters in and not so bad so far if a bit Gary Stuish, but there is one problem that I see and it bugs me, and here I put a spoiler warning if you reading this haven't read this fic to this point.
So at one point our main chosen one losses control over himself and kills 6 ponies and a foal, eventually he is stopped and saved but he as everyone else seems to forget that he killed 6 ponies and a foal, in control or not you can't sweep something like that under a rug and forget about it and go along with your life.

Yeah, sometimes you can get a bittersweet taste from a happy ending if you consider all that one has lost to get to that happy ending. Especially if the ones that you knew that were lost had some meaning to those around them, especially if they were in the show and you just didn't want to see it and go.
