I know I'm late commenting on this chapter, but:
Call me old fasioned, but yes.
If you claim to love someone, are in an intimate relationship, and they are emotionally fragile and need comfort; then you have the responsibility to provide that comfort. If you wont, then you have no business being in the relationship.
How can you claim to love someone if you are unwilling to suffer a little discomfort in order to nuture your lover. Be it emotional, intellectual, or physical.
Don't get me wrong, Dash should have never pushed when Flutters was scared. But from the way that relationship is described, Fluttershy has always been just using Dash. Dash was the only one to make accommodations. I'm hoping that Fluttershy ends up alone in this story.
This was a good scene. More hardcore than my tastes, but excellently written.
I hope the variety in this story keeps up!

A completely understandable viewpoint.
In the scenerio where everything works out with them, what I wish would happen is that Fluttershy realizes what she is loosing and steps up to actually contribute to the relationship. In the real world, Shy would tear up at Dash, they both would apologize, and it would go right back to Dash meeting Shy entirely on her terms.
What actually happens in this story? I can't wait to find out!
