Years have passed since Radiant Hope last saw Sombra, their parting words something she'd never forget.
Since then, Hope dedicates much of her life to piecing together the puzzle of why Sombra turned out the way he did in between the secret experiments she conducts with her new and mysterious friend, Nickel. And after countless trials and tests, she finally has an experiment which may reveal some answers.
However, when Nickel learns about the experiments Hope performed behind the scenes, he has a few questions to ask her. And Hope uncovers something much more shocking outside of her experiments.
Based on "Fiendship is Magic #1" of the official comics. Originally written for the Writeoff under the pseudonym "Flying Fish."

nicely done. this was pretty amazing. granted, i think the curse was just the whole of the empire being in stasis for that long, but it might just be a curse. i did have one drawback: not enough nickel.

I haven't read Fiendship is Magic, but after reading this, I don't think I need to to understand the characters. Really sweet characterisation, and smooth plot.
6638085 Yeah, the concept for the story was in my head for quite some time. It was only when the Writeoff rolled around that I decided to turn that idea into a story. And Nickel was an original supporting character I devised for the story.

I've personally figured that her healing magic worked on Radiant Hope as well as other ponies, thus granting her immortality akin to that of Wolverine.
But hey, whatever works for your stuff is fine. Good story.
