Lyra Heartstrings is a rising musician.
But not of the strings...
Since she was young, Lyra found music in everything: her toys, her friends, even her environment. The only music she couldn't face was the song of her fame.
She will do anything to escape its weary wails and aching nights, even if it means giving up her living, breathing self to do it.
She will find, however, that every song sounds sweet to the ears with a little perspective.

420 BLAAAAAZE IT!
I love it!
Holy crap this almost feels like a horror story. The entire transformation scene made me really uneasy. Again, I love it!
I REALLY enjoyed this one. Good job!

Lyrock is a terrible pun. And I regret it not a bit xD
I tried to give her that existential fear we all have when faced with the unknown, and I see it transferred to the reader quite well.
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!
Making an engaging story with a lone, silent (and motionless!) protagonist can't be easy, but you did a great job carrying the story on just Lyra's feelings, memories, and sensations. Nice work. ^_^

Thanks a bunch, I wasn't certain I could manage to write Lyra, having never worked with her before. Glad to see it worked out well for people :D
I quite enjoyed this. I have a fondness for transformation stories, but this one stands out with the emotion and beauty conveyed. That's even without mentioning how well it flows. This definitely deserves an upvote!
Well written and thoughtful. A very nice combo
