In it's most recent years, the Kingdom of Equestria has found itself fallen victim to a staggering number of potentially world-ending threats. By chance and the power of friendship however, all of them have been defeated and eliminated before they could topple the Ponies' diarchy, thus preventing the ending of the era of peace.
They've overcome a powerful, chaotic spirit; the wraith of an ancient, evil king; the might of an entire invasion from an army of shapeshifters; and the hellish fury of a demonic lord. However, nothing could prepare them for their newest threat.
Can harmony and friendship defeat the most feared being in the galaxy?

I really hope this isn't one of those stories that ends up radically changing the core nature of a character(s) in order to let the ponies survive in a situation where they normally would not nor boost them up to ridiculous levels of sudden war-ability that they can easily challenge a foe they never actually would be able to. Keep up the writing, you have me quite interested in seeing where this goes!!

Well considering any planet that has an ork fleet land on it might as well be bombed into glass (Due to the fact that once orks land on a planet they'll NEVER be able to be completely killed without a certain imperial inquisition tactic), I'm going to go ahead and say "No, they won't."

They've only got the one ship landing, apparently. One ship with a good chunk of it's greenskins out of action. So once the Ponies overcome their shock, they can overwhelm the Orks with sheer numbers.
....And then the spores go to work, new animals and plants show up, and fresh hordes start coming out of the woodwork. Though I suppose it's possible the Ponies might be able to scrounge up a magical solution to the otherwise-insoluble problem of Orkish infection. They probably have a few tools to try that the Imperials and Elves lack.

I was thinking more of the dark magic stuff myself. Celestia almost certainly has a vast collection of relics and grimoires associated with the Dark Side for obvious reasons.
The Power of Friendship does seem to functionally similarly to the Orkish stuff in some ways. Power of belief makes stuff happen. If the Ponies wielded this kind of stuff at godlike levels, they'd have a shot at turning the Orks. Being Psykic (or however it's Orkily spelled) is a door that swings both ways. But the Ponies aren't anywhere nearly as attuned to Friendship as the Orks are to their wyrd, so that doesn't seem likely.

When you look a little closer at Equestria you start to realize that its natural state isn't a candy-coated sugarbowl, but rather a death world that's been pounded into submission and forced to play nice by the ponies.
Hell, look at Spike as another example. Despite being only a baby dragon, he can swim in and even gargle molten rock, his jaws are strong enough to crush diamond, and his latest showing during the Equestrian Games had him completely melting an extremely large chunk of ice with his firebreath. The amount of energy required to turn a mass of ice that size into water and steam is roughly comparable to that released by a tactical nuke.
Now imagine what the durability and offensive capability of a full-grown adult dragon would be in comparison.

4844809 Buddy you got to remember that first and foremost that MLP is a cartoon with a capital TOON. Their world has Toon physics and so a lot of those are simply just used for comedic value or for resolving something is a quick manner. Spike can swim in molten rock but his scales still get pierced by Rarity's needles when she was using him that one time as a pin cushion? Cartoons made with Toon physics don't have to fully make sense and can often contradict one another whenever the show demands for it to do so. When making a crossover fanfic that is a completely different type of genre, the author has to make a choice. Either keep the Toon physics and make the fic more comedic, or make Ponyverse more realistic to make the fic either more relatable/dark/action-packed/etc. By the looks of the tags of this fic, I do believe the author has picked choice number two.

On a vaguely unrelated subject, would the Orks want to fight the Ponies? Orks love a good fight and the Ponies aren't likely to provide that. To use the wiki's metaphor of a Waagh! as a pub crawl, wouldn't Equestria be an empty lot between pubs?
Of course, in this example, the Ponies are enslaved outright and gradually go extinct through random acts of violence and/or the Orks fighting over them. So maybe that would be more of a downer story.

YES! Orks are my favorite race, besides Tau, in Warhammer.
I kind of hope that this doesn't get too grimdark-y. I know everything in Warhammer is grimdark as possible, but a little fun doesn't hurt.
Wondering what the orks will do though. Ponies aren't going to be something orks would want to fight. They're small, peaceful, and their army is pathetic. The orks would just scoff and try to find something to fight.
Most likely they'd head off to somwhere else. Possibly the Griffin Kingdom, or the dragon holds. (Griffins because they were extremely aggressive and natural killers in mythology.) The Everfree Forest would be like a playground to them.
And it might be possible for some of the ponies to befriend orks...Hey, there it can happen. Humans often work together and employ orks, and before they were attacked and killed off for the most part, Squats did regular trade and commerce with some ork clans. (Before another foreign one came about and messed it up.)

Which is, again, I hope you touch upon. I don't want this to be a curbstomp, on either side. Each side has their strengths and weaknesses. I just hope you acknowledge them. (If I had to rate the princesses, they're pretty much gods, or demi-gods if you prefer, as well as Discord. Not the kind of things that would go down with mere gunfire.)

Yeah, it's been a while. Believe me when I say I'm working on it and that I put in the time every now and then, but there are other matters to attend to. Plus, I'm going to make all the other chapters much larger than the prologue so that can add to it.
As for when it will be done, I can't honestly tell. I tend to try not to make promises because I don't like dissapointing people when things don't go right. You can be assured that it's being built up.
