Perturabo

Not being the best? That's a decimating. Not wearing Chevrons? That's a decimating. Fighting for the Emperor? That's a decimating. Liking Imperial Fists? Oh...you better believe that's a decimating.

This story is a sequel to My Iron Warriors: Ordinance is Magic

In the aftermath of the Chaos Space Marine assault, and the opening of a Warp Rift in the ruins of Canterlot, Ponykind struggles to survive with the loss of all its Princesses. Drawing its allies close, and trying to fight back against the slowly rising Daemonic tide infecting the world, the remnants of the once-proud kingdom cannot forsee the events beginning to bear down upon them. The Ruinous Powers of Chaos are not yet done with this world...and neither is the Imperium.

Meanwhile, on the other side of a certain dimensional portal in the Crystal Empire, life at Canterlot High goes on much as normal. But, unbeknownst to the student body, a new threat is rising on the other side of town - a threat utterly focused upon triumphing over its self-proclaimed rival.

The only problem is...they're not as good as they think they are...

(If you haven't read the first one, this won't make much sense....for obvious reasons.)

It's back, and as good as ever.

Although this chapter needs more Astartes.

It seems you haven't lost your touch for writing excellent fiction, brother! I look forward to reading more.

Dear Pert,

Keep writing stories, because they're good and while ever you're writing you're not doing treacherous crap.

I may dislike your chapter, but I have to agree with you. Pert's good at this thing.

4913527

Surely you mean my legion, you fool.

4915346
Not since you divided the legions into chapters.

Oh no... whelp, this story needed someone to replace the chaos sorcerer. And what better replacement than the exact same person?

I choked a little. Can't laugh in a library.

Well, brother? How IS it? :trixieshiftright:

How can any of the Dark Angels remember the Horus Heresy? Unless this is before the 41st millennium, there's no way anyone other than a Dreadnaught would still be around. Or is this Warp based time trickery?

5040920
Iron Cage round 2. You and me, let's go.

5041053
My plan/hope is to get every named Iron Warrior in somehow as a student or teacher, even if it's just a cameo. And Forrix's crippling depression was just too perfect to not have him as a public school teacher.

5041986
That's actually a bit of a goof on my part - it's alluded to that these Marines went through the portal during the Scouring, but not as clear as perhaps it should be. Good spot.

Ah, Space Wolves... always so goddamn aggressive, but they're pretty cool. Also, Forrix the math teacher. I couldn't help but laugh a little at that. I have no clue if laughing at depressed Chaos Space Marines is a good idea though.

5044494

He's an Iron Warrior, he's probably used to it.

5044163 Quit fighting with Dorn; our glorious Primarch! Do NOT call me an Imperial Fist though... I am a Black Templar, and my rage will crush any fortress, no matter how sturdy. Oh yeah; how's dicking around in the Eye of Terror going for you? We're busy crushing yet ANOTHER Iron Warriors company; that Warsmith is crafty but we'll get him. PRAISE THE EMPEROR!

(In other words: Good story, I'm having fun, continue)

5087755
Swiggity sworrupting he's always corrupting.

5088338
Black Templars? I remember that oaf Sigismund and his little First Company from the Crusade, but you all keep changing your colours so much it's hard to keep track of which of you we've crushed. And whilst it's not ideal, I really can't complain - nice palace Rogal had, shame if something had happened to it.

(Thanks, I appreciate it.)

5090703
Sorry, I've forcibly changed chapter. Now, all your fortresses have been stolen. I don't care that you left Iron Warriors at your fortresses, they've been taken too. When you return, everything not bolted down (As well as some things bolted down). The Blood Ravens will steal anything, ANYTHING! They also have the 2nd and 11th Primarchs. We also have Tyranid bio-morphs; it's better to not ask where they came from...

5093056
Blood Ravens?

First Captain Forrix.

Nail.

Down.

EVERYTHING.

5095375

FORRIX IS DEAD.

So Whenever an Astartes or Primarch dies, they are reincarnated in this version of the Equestria girls Universe?

Unless I'm mistaken and Cypher is not the Dark Angel who just ate it.

5179394
Nah. Zuko was still alive last time we saw him. There's probably a counterpart for everyone.

5179394
5180849

Murder Knight is correct, they're just equivalents, kinda like the ponies have - except Cypher, who is actually Cypher, and been changed into a human due to Equestrian Portal shenanigans as was kinda implied at the end of the first story. I realise it's kind of convoluted, but a lot of things about that movie were strange (where the heck does Sunset Shimmer live?) so eh.

5181536 hmm I don't remember Cypher from the first story. I'll have to go back and reread it.

Poor Barbus had to put up with all this awkwardness for nothing... ah well. I wonder why this story isn't as popular as the first.

5245082

I'm not really sure, though it is understandable, being a bit of a strange premise for a sequel. Still, as long as a few people like it, I'm content.

5247126
Well, now that I think about it, the first fic was basically the Iron Warriors being badass and doing their stuff in Equestria. This one is told with two perspectives, one in the EG world, which several people dislike, and one with badass Space Marines who are now seemingly less badass because of the Chaos demons killing them off like power-armored mosquitos.

I think people liked the first because it didn't feel like a regular 40k fic. It wasn't choked and beaten to death with grimdarkness and death, but still had enough to remind us what 40k is about. This one however, switches between semi-innocent high school hijinks and Space Marines on a chaos-infested world. The latter can easily be done with any fandom. The former is just so out of place with 40k that I'm just waiting for everything to fall apart.

... well. It seems that I've been rambling for quite some time. Sorry if it's a bit long.

5247312
That sounds both rational and likely. I admit that this is basically a vanity work, whilst the first one was the 'real' story. I never expected this to be to many people's tastes, which is fine, since hopefully the first one tied itself up neat-ishly.

Oh gods this is hilarious and the contrast between the High School shenanigans and the grim darkness of the deamonified Equestria is jarring at places but still good overall, one basically gets two stories in one!

And i sincerely doubt Lorkhans group can actually manage to learn how to play instruments in time for the battle of the bands i see either a crushing defeat and massive humiliation for them or some sort of interdimensional diabolus ex machina coming to save their collective asses and make them capable of defeating the Dazzlings and the Rainbooms who both employ some kind of magic in their play.
Deamon possessed instruments that make the crowd howl with pleasure and forget everything that the other two bands did because the dark gods are a lot more powerful then either the sirens or the magic of friendship? YES PLEASE!

... I like the Olympia High bits better then the daemon Equestria. Do I fail as a 40k fan for this?

5310098

No it makes you a better 40k fan as it shows you are capable of enjoying the campy humor of the first few editions before the game started taking itself way too seriously.

5309389
It may usually be the noise marines schtick, but it'd be entertaining if they found a few daemonic instruments kicking around. It would at least put them on even footing with the Dazzlings' Siren powers, and the Rainbooms' pony power. They are still at a disadvantage of not knowing how to play (As far as we know.)

5308584
I have a friend who can do the 'Students' bit in the perfect Perturabo voice, and it makes me laugh uncontrollably every time. It was too perfect not to include.

5309389
I hadn't actually thought of Daemon instruments/Sonic weapons, but that's an awesome idea. Something about wrecking Flash and his terrible band with a Blastmaster is already satisfying.

5310098
Don't worry, so do I.

5310456
5311581
Nice... Oh, and WAAAAAGH! Needz moar boyz.

5312104
I don't think Canterlot High could handle some Goff Rockers.

5312141 I fink it kould...

Aw shit, time for some motherfucking sorcery.

5398129
The next Equestria Girls movie is just going to be Perturabo sitting behind his desk and silently fuming.

Oh god i think this story has made me laugh more than any other story on a per chapter basis.
And this one just takes the cake mostly because what in name of all the gods made Lorkhan think it was a good idea to rely on Rorke of all people to go play a ghost of christmas whatever?

5402080
"STUDENTS.
It has come to my attention that a loser at Canterlot High is not displaying proper reverence to the Holiday spirit.
In keeping with school policy, we must handle this in the most inefficient and potentially gruesome manner possible.
...Also, I despise each and every one of you.
That is all."

Just that. For an hour and a half.

5402253
If I remember the story, Rorke's role would have made him Applejack's dead business partner, which raises a lot of unsettling questions. Not that Lorkhan cares about any of those.

5403661
Yessssssssssss.

5404624
i rather doubt that Lorkhan even knows about the finer details of the story beyond: "three ghosts visit to make her feel the holiday spirit"
and since none of them have any kind of possibility to do what the ghosts did in the story and the simple fact that they are who they are the whole operation was doomed to several degrees of failure from the start.

They broke into flashes house knocked him out and shattered his new guitar over his head. Merry Christmas indeed!
also if Perturabo knew how his own students think of christmas he would force them to get into the spirit of the holiday and after new year throw a fit followed by enough decimations to last an entire year

This is great did you get the idea with the instruments from my comment or had you planned something along that line all along?
Also i think its understandable why Rorke would be the one who dislikes the instruments considering what happened with the other him in Equestria.
And can i assume that for whatever inconcievable reason every chapter and organization from wh40k has some kind of school or other establishement counterpart in Humanland?
According to this i guess Varvillon is the Slaaneshi of the bunch, Rorke is the Khornate, Mordecai is obviously the Tzeenchian so the only one missing is a Nurglite!

5513146
"The enemy of my enemy is a problem for later. In the meantime, he might be useful."

5513368
-I knew I wanted to do something Chaosy with them to give them an edge, but your idea had me grinning for a day at the thought, so in that way I did! You're a credit to the Legion.
-Every Legion has their own school with the Primarch as its Principal (Except Alpha Legion, no-one knows what's going on there). There are a few other non-Legion characters floating around, but Spoilers.
-Now that I think about it, with his fascination for plants and life Varvillon would be the best suited to being a Nurglite. Slaanesh works for him too, though. Nurgle is a hard one to place in the group despite the fact that he's often associated with Iron Warriors; the one who seems most appropriate is Vortun, for whatever reason, but I've never heard of an Obliterator being claimed by a single God.

Zuko is a Champion of Malal hue hue hue.

5515383
Obliterators are really more Chaos undivided because the virus that creates them is probably not naturally occuring, if you can speak of natural stuff concerning the warp.

And i can totally see the Alpha legion as a whole horde of exchange students that are all over the other schools and they disappear when someone asks too many questions, no one is really sure who is the principal either its Alpharius or Omegon also noone knows if they are two persons or one and the same and he occasionally appears as a substitude, a new teacher, sometimes even as a student (dont ask me how that works).
Also all of them are called something with Alpha or Omega.

5515698

i can totally see the Alpha legion as a whole horde of exchange students that are all over the other schools and they disappear when someone asks too many questions

[ideas intensifies]

love the chapter.

But dude come on I think the obvious song choice has to be Iron Warriors-HMKids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7ghs6p8inY

They need something that contrasts sharply with what the other bands play but still has the potential to whip the entire crowd into a frenzy (slaanesh worshipping, live sacrifices and orgies optional)
So im all for epic power metal or something in that direction!

5568387
Iron Warriors singing about Iron Warriors; I think the universe might implode.

5568627
So what you're saying is you definitely want Firework?

5569426
'Through the Fire and Fists' added for consideration.
