I wish I could just finish all the half-done stories I've got backlogged.

What happens when Button Mash, a video game enthusiast, is given a box filled with his fathers' old video game systems? Join Button Mash and his miserable experiences with devices such as the Power Hoof, the Virtual Boy, and the Sega CD.

Those aren't so bad! Or at least they aren't the Rockin' Roller, the R-Zone, and the CD-i. Which are probably also in that box of overly-nostalgic memories.

And remember that the modern-day controller once had challengers:

Be afraid, Button Mash. Be very afraid. The worst is yet to come. You have yet to learn the meaning of true power.

4278858 don't worry, the R-zone is definitely gonna be in here.

I think I know the reason why the power hoof didn't work, Button's dad forgot to enter the numerical codes for the games. :rainbowlaugh:

Can't wait to see what else is dug up.

Wouldn't it be called the Virtual Colt?

4279021 I'm still working on the names so I'm just using the real ones as place holders. I like the sound of virtual colt though.

Also.... buttons dad lied. None of them worked. I thank God I got into games late in the media

If button is to play sega cd, atleast let him end off on a decent note, like sonic cd (or your ponified version of the title)

He's going to play the ponified version of E.T The Video Game at one point, isn't he?

4279845 you have just brought eternal damnation upon the poor child. I love it!

Fictions like these are a perfect example of Button Mash's character still being a big part of this fandom. No matter the C&D people still manage to provide excellent fiction and art like this. Amazing job, my friend.

To be fair, the SEGA CD was a great console. It just didn't have enough quality software to realize its potential.

4280290 the Sega cd is more of a Segway to talking about the 32x

4280165
On the subject of the C&D, they allowed Jan to re-upload Don't Mine at Night. :pinkiehappy:

4280443 Yes I am well aware and I'm glad for that :D

Technically, it's a PC game, but he should play. Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing. Just the thought! :rainbowlaugh:

All consoles are the worst console.
Glory to the PC Masterrace.
Also, I hate Button Mash, but I love you, so I'll read this.

I feel soooo bad for button mash. :unsuresweetie:
But I love this story!:rainbowlaugh::yay::facehoof::twilightsmile::raritywink::pinkiehappy::ajsmug::derpytongue2:

God, the Virtual Boy was awful. It was like someone shining two laser-pointers right in your eyes.

SEGA CD ROCKED! IT GAVE US SONIC CD! And it gave us Super-Man Vs The Kingpin! Do you need me to list more games that were cool on the Sega CD?

4280290
I agree. The enjoyed having a Sega CD. It was fun!

what about an N-gage or Gamecom? Or those little tiger electronic games? man there is alot of crap to go over.

Hahahaha!
And to think I asked last chapter!:rainbowlaugh:

I'm sorry but I just had to post this:

This is really funny! Next, Button should play Dark Castle on C! D! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And thus, The Angry Video Game Nerd Stallion was born.:rainbowlaugh::derpytongue2:

Is that the infamous Button Mash cartoons that got banned by Hasbro, Matthias?
This is funny stuff, keep it up.

Actually, Sega CD wasn't too bad... We got some cool games from it like Sonic CD.

As far as the Sega cd is concerned with the 'crap factor' it's mostly gonna be with the games that featured full-motion video. I'm well aware of how awesome sonic was.

You don't need to use two spaces after completing a sentence.

Button's father chuckled a bit at his sons' expense.

You used a plural possessive, you probably meant to use a singular possessive (son's)

At this point, Button's faith in his fathers' childhood was already close to zero.

"father's"

Button was didn't like

Maybe remove "was", or change it to "really".

Look out! Warthogs!

I had to listen to this. :rainbowlaugh:

4343799 I didn't ask for proof reading, but thank you very much! It means a lot to know that people are looking out for me and it helps a lot with making my writing better.

Just to get this out of the way. I was taught the 'two spaces' thing and it's more like an old habit now that I do without thinking.

Thanks again.

No problem, the two spaces thing is weird to me, that's all. Keep up the overall good work.

Will the game.com make an appearance?

Let's really torture the poor kid. Make a pony version of ET!

You should have called it the fillips cd-i the name here basicly says "children cd-i" but still cool fic man.

I can't wait to bomb do-gets shot

Is this fanfic still being worked on? I just found it and love it! :pinkiehappy: That and I know LOTS of console ideas, like the Neightari Jaguar, 32X, or maybe Discord can even be this fic's version of the Glitch Gremlin :pinkiecrazy::pinkiecrazy:

The Power Hoof's original design was actually not that bad, but they wanted it made on the cheap, so they cut several corners.
