Naught but a luxury, I think it unneeded,
I don't want your friendship, I'll manage alone.
This is the lie that I told myself, it nearly succeeded.

Times sands slowly falling, it has now been shown,
I truly can't live without you close to my side.
Will I be given a second chance? It is unknown.

Answers, I seek. Time to stow away my pride.
Outstretched are my wings, I take to the skies.
Do you think of me too? Or have I been cast aside?

To make claims of my changes would be filled with lies.
But know this, I will change. I'll no longer be rash.
Give me this chance to prove I can revise.

While I drift ever closer, my emotions clash.
Please don't push me away when I do arrive,
My Rainbow Dash.

Very good. You recieve my like and compliments.

youre the author, take charge of the story. loved the poem at the beginning but some of the words make it awkward to read the actual story. Never been a fan of romance stories.

Good story nonetheless.

Amazing characterization, and a rather solid concept. By rather solid, I mean as solid as a solidly solid solid brick of solidly solid lead.
which is pretty damn solid.

Gildash makes me happy.
Well-written Gildash makes me even happier. :pinkiehappy:

Pretty good story. Thumbs up.

Cute, a little saccharine, but cute.

it is well written and you have potrayed the characters well... can't wait for you next update:pinkiehappy: if their will be one:twilightsmile:

Actually I intended for this to be a one shot. My attention will probably be going back to the story I've been putting most of my focus into. A Second Path.

This was just beautiful!
Really, one of the best Gildadash I've seen, even though it is painfully short...

Is there ANY chance you would continue this?
Maybe as some kind of arttrade?

It isn't likely I ever will. Even if I ever do write another story featuring Gilda, it wouldn't be a part of this one. And the only reason I wrote this one was because a friend on facebook suggested I did, because Gilda was one of my least favourite characters (Not that I don't like her at all, she just doesn't make the list.). It was basically a challenge.

I of course love stories relating to Gilda (I'm writing one myself) because I feel the show itself missed a crucial opportunity in showing issues that arise when an individual has friends that don't get along. Its a very realistic scenario which many have faced, but the writers simplified it to a point where only Gilda was wrong and that it was better not to have her as a friend at all. That wasn't satisfying.

I like what you have here , but I think you could capture a bit more arrogance, or at least pride in the way Gilda presents herself. She doesn't seem like she's very willing to accept when she's done wrong, which suggests during her friendship with Rainbow Dash she's never had to make apologies for her actions to Dash.

Nonetheless, very well written short!

Aha, thanks. I myself never paid much attention to Gilda. At least, not so much beyond the fact that she made a pretty good mini-antagonist. I wrote this for reasons I've already mentioned a few times in the story itself, the comments and my blog, so I won't go through them again. But I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm great-full for the feedback.

I like this general idea because it shows that no one is pure evil. "You see a man do a good thing and you think he is a saint everything he says and does must be right. Then you see him do a bad thing and you think he is a devil and everything he says and does must be wrong. Well, I tell you, my husband is neither a devil nor a saint, he is just a man." "inherit the wind (1960)".
Great story, loved it. :twilightblush:

I'm glad you liked it, thank you for your kind words.

Too slow on the draw there Applejack, wonder how this will end.

Please tell me this story is still somehow alive!
I just re-read it and noticed how long ago the last update was...
This started all so beatifully, I'd hate to see this story end just like that :raritycry:
