For most of his life Spike has yearned to be treated as more than a hatchling; only five years younger than Twilight by all rights he should be considered a young adult, or at least a teenager, by pony standards.
His mind, though still developing, is at times equal to an adult pony's thanks to the many years he spent working alongside his studious caretaker. When forced to focus can could quickly outpace and outwit most colts his age.
His body on the other hand is tiny and adorable.
As with all dragons the pace of his growth matches the demands of the world around him; with the carefree, relaxed life of a librarian's assistant there have been few demands a baby dragon's form could not meet. Until now.
Faced with other dragons, rivals and peers much more fit for survival Spike's body has started working overtime to catch him up and prepare him for the long, difficult life of a dragon. Fortunately, this means he will soon have a body that matches his mind; large enough to take care of himself and get a small token or respect now and then.
Unfortunately this means he has hit puberty.
Good first chapter, lets see where this takes us =P

Like the direction defiently like the description but im a tad bit confused on his current size is he still baby dragon sized or larger cause i can't exactly see him leaping over the stacks of books in his normal form
Great job so far. I had a bit of trouble finding where the dream ended and reality came in, but other then that I liked it. I hope to see more in the future.

I'm not sure if it's more fun to just keep catching bits and pieces of whats going on or the full story. I mean what did Pinkie do to Rarity? And what sort of parties have we been missing out on? Mentions of Tombstone, Caramel, and Big Mac making out again? Fields of ice cream, candy coated apple trees, and Pinkie getting a hold of Mac for a forth time? what are we/Spike missing out on and is it more amazing then what Pinkie did to Applejacks hoof? So many questions!
548730 well mate considering the drinking age i think its safe to assume the ages aren't quite humanized in this story so Spike isn't getting the short end of the stick like he usually is when his age is ten or so, its relative.

1938468 Actually started writing it out in story format...I got about three pages in when I realized there was no point to it; I can just toss references when necessary. To summarize MPH, basically just combine every anime/anime-esque thing from the last 15 or 20 years and attach the loosest understanding/knowledge of ancient history the world has ever seen. Then stick a bit more Samurai Shamploo and Inuyasha in.
