One day, Dipper and Mabel Pine's satellite dish is suddenly destroyed after Mabel was watching My Little Pony and they go out to try to see who or WHAT did it. In the deepest part of the forest, a strange creature approaches them, demanding for a gem that they never had. They run back home and discover, in Dippers book, that the creature is a Draconequus. If this creature gets a hold of the gem, it may do damage to his world or even theirs.

how about if Mabel in one bit says "Mabel away!" only to look down and find that shes bull ridding Discord with the gem in hand and Discord can't get her off his back without risking losing the gem so he kidnaps her.

One of the things that got my attention in the story description was mention of wrecking their satellite. "What? They have their own orbiting satellite?" You might want to add the word "dish" when it's not someone's dialog and you mean the outside reciever.
Some description of the wrecked satellite dish might be cool. Did it look like it blew up from the inside of the antenna horn -like something came through it, or was it ripped up or torn off with claw marks?
